Another boring (and quite useless news) that is used to manipulate BTC prices. First, I 've never seen ads related to BTC, ETH and the likes. Most of the times, Google ads are used to give some visibility to scam ICOs but it's quite marginal.

It seems like that the recent fall is due to a disinvestment from MT. GOX. It that's true, the recent dip is not much of an issue

Also, they can create some cryptocurrencies by investing small % of their money so ... they are far from being irrelevant

Coinbase will be enabling faster payments which is a first and a huge improvement on the clunky shite you have to go through at present. Elsewhere they've said the UK is their biggest market in Europe by far which surprises me quite a bit. Interesting that you would consider UK a crypto backwater! They have been having several of those "neo banks" all based around UK, several in Ireland and Scotland and mostly in England, at least for two years? I can't remember the name of one but it even launched some ICO last year and was really successful. I guess now Coinbase will no longer be known as an American only exchange. I know Barclays is branched out in many commonwealth countries too, so maybe proxy access to non-UK but Commonwealth nations?
Compared to a place like the US where there are tons of places to shop with it and buy and sell it then yes it is. I'm talking more about action for regular people rather than backroom stuff. why are you surprised? UK, when talking about finance, is the first market. To me it is too high but the exchanges are complaining of high cost of mining because power source and security maintenance of their system as the reason for the exorbitant price.
I do agree that, for an exchange, maintenance and security require big investments. I'm not fully sure that they are using transaction fees for those aspects  |

Etherium looks to explode this years. I guess it will hit 2000$ or more at the end of the years. Bit for a cheap one i think. Eltcoin,rebl and bilibit wil be huge this year
Can you tell me a bit more why you think Eth going up to $2000? It's very struggling now and ICOs are under heavy regulatory pressures |

well.. I choose ripple, bitcoincash and NEO as best altcoin in 2018. I expect them to skyrocket this year.
I would be very cautious with Ripple: it's a centralized currency highly manipulated (well, all is manipulated nowadays ) |

I've always wondered how people make big money without effort. I've heard that airdrops can help me with this, so found several channels with lists of airdrops. How do you think it is worth starting? Are there any pitfalls in this matter? Any advises? People that make big money without much effort are those that have quite much amount as investment in crypto either for trading or for holding. Money is easy to easy basically if you have enough knowledge in the field. Earning money if not a big deal in crypto, if you can analyse the market and know the entry and exit points by doing research, reading and studying charts. Airdrops can be quite profitable some times, but nowadays most of the coins dropped in airdrops are either scam or not received. Few years ago airdrop was good way to earn free money, but its not anymore. To survive in crypto market now , you have to be smart and logical. I really agree with you. Thinking to make money through airdrop is very questionable. You receive few bucks and will have to spend most of it in the transactions fees |

I really wonder the use case of all this... for sure they will raise some money since they will find the chickens thinking to profit from a solid country but, at the end of the day, you are sending money to politicians

Good question. I'm going to find the answer to that myself shortly.
I used to think dumping $5k into an ICO was a good investment. Then I saw some Bounty Hunters get more than that in tokens, and then they cashed out caused the prices to dump down to $2k. Well, since that's the case perhaps bounties are better.
Well, in bounty you only spend your time  (Time is money? well, not for everybody) That said, the 2 things are not alternative! I mean, you can both invest money and time in a project. In this case, you receive some extra tokens and edge the total risk |

To recover we need: A) some price manipulation or B) some new entrants with big funds to invest. Frankly, at the time being, I see both options quite unrealistic. Specifically, hard time for the alternative coins (And things can only go worse). |
