621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 16, 2017, 08:40:56 AM
What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.
i guess if it was banned in my country, i would find a way to convert my total amount of bitcoins to another coin that is legal in my country. Then i guess this may be one of the ways to make it legal, but if we really think about it, the only thing that stand agains the bitcoins are law hackers and the people that are agains its value and what it could do.
That depends, but I don’t think it’s possible all countries will ban Bitcoin at a time. Even if some bans bitcoin, others won’t do the same. But if my country happens to be on the list of the countries banning Bitcoin, then VPN comes in useful or I might just convert to Fiat immediately.
That’s not really going to happen, but let’s just imagine that we are in a world where it actually happened, then I guess lots of people who invested their money into it will all end up as losers. I wouldn’t like such to happen, because I’m among those that will lose a lot if it happens. I know some people will be lucky to get their money out before anything happens, but some won’t be that lucky.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: September 16, 2017, 05:45:00 AM
Try to invest in different coins like eth or dash, Then hold it for a very long time, Another thing is you can also get small profits from it. Then your only problem here will be your patience because sometimes the value is decreasing. Just do not try to bet on gambling because its a very bad move.
You know, not everyone is interested in putting their money into bitcoin and leaving it for years (like they say– ten years). People are looking for ways to earn quickly from Bitcoin these days and not that snail way of making money. Investing into altcoins is far much better. When you make profits, you then move your funds to BTC.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: September 15, 2017, 07:05:59 PM
The miners mine and hold, other mine and sell.

Investors and speculators buy, hold and sell.

You can buy random items in auctions and through the forums.

What are the reasons for the bulk of the bitcoin transfers? I read an article underlying the "dark side" of the internet and TOR network, and they seem to point out that bitcoins are now nearly the exclusive currency for the online "black market" (Note, they are not saying bitcoins are exclusively used for black market transactions)

What have you used bitcoins for?

Miner
Investor
Black Market
Other - explain

I am using bitcoin for money.Because bitcoin can help me in my financial needs. With bitcoin I can gain so much money and with bitcoin I am able tp help my parents with the things that I need at school.
Lol…miners don’t even mine and hold. When they mine, they get paid in to their wallet, and they can exchange for Fiat if they wish. Same is investors, they invest and make profits which they can sell later or hold it as savings if they prefer to do so. I work for it and when I get paid, I just save some and withdraw the rest.
624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bought my first BTC @ $4600, slightly worried on: September 15, 2017, 05:53:31 PM
Hey guys, new member here Smiley

I've been watching Bitcoin's development since early August this year, and I finally gave in and bought 1 BTC for $4600. I didn't wait because I figured the value could easily break the $5000 barrier at any time, and if the price would suddenly normalize above that level, 1 BTC would be outside my budget.

I probably went OCD on the matter and should've waited instead of having to have 1 full BTC, especially since the ICO-related news from China were still pretty recent.

Anyway: the 2nd wave of news regarding shutdown of local exchanges hit hours after I made the purchace, and the value plummeted (it's now hovering just above $4000, that's a 13% decrease). Lesson learned I guess. I've been lurking on the forums for a couple of months trying to pick up some sound advice from you guys, and from what I've gathered I should stick with holding for 5-10 years instead of panicking. But honestly, it's tough to ride the lows.

Any words of encouragement? Grin I guess I'm not the only one who've had a nervous start in the world of cryptocurrencies. Anyone else feeling like they "need" to acquire 1 BTC before the train leaves the station for good?
You shouldn’t have bought Bitcoin at such price. You should have waited till November to see how things are going to roll out. I believe price will hit very low then and there would a rush-in that will make it hit back high again and lots of early purchasers making profits.
625  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: September 15, 2017, 02:53:25 PM
I disagree with this idea "bitcoin bank" because first of all bitcoin is decentralized currency already. If you put bitcoin in a bank means there is a certain person or group that is holding our bitcoins and its centralized already. I like to put my bitcoins to microwallets for me rather than a bitcoin bank. Thats my opinion
We’ve had enough Bitcoin banks, that’s true. Xapo is the best in my own opinion. I don’t know why anyone should be requesting for more Bitcoin banks. What don’t we have available in the bitcoin community, we have wallets and we have banks, so we’re good to go.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: dropping value on: September 15, 2017, 10:40:56 AM
what's happening in the bitcoin?? Why continue his descent? should we Convert bitcoin in php?? Im worried for this, my bitcoin is still down,
You guys really need to start taking chill pills. Why do you want to give yourself a heart problem over an issue that is nothing. If you are worried, I will advice you back date and check the history of bitcoin.
627  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If we can educate our kids at home why do we need to send them at school? on: September 15, 2017, 09:56:42 AM
I think schools are there to teach our child what we cannot teach, we will always have atleast 1 weakness when it comes to academics. A tutor could do the job if that is the case but there are just lots of limitations. When it comes to socialization, ok lets not send them to school, lets just find other group of parents looking for other parents whose wanting their kids to have a social group so that they could do activities where they will learn to cooperate and help others, wait a minute, isn't that called a school?.
No I do not agree with this that we can teach our kids at home. The reason is that no child is afraid of his or mother and he will never listen to them about the education. The other important thing is that you will have to arrange the teacher at home, but of which subject, because it will not be possible for one teacher to teach all the subjects. Then it will be very annoying situation for the child and the parents as well.
628  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: September 15, 2017, 09:19:15 AM
I totally agree on this. Justice must be swift! Death penalty should be imposed on heinious crimes like rape, murder and drugs! People are blinded on the grounds of human rights.if you look in the other side, did these perpetrators actually considered human rights before they have consummated the crime? I guess not! So don't give me a reason based on human rights. After all, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth!
Yes I also agree with death penalty. If someone offends a murder and are convinced that he did the act then he should be hangout in front of the people. So that other will never dare to the sane crime. In Islam, the death penalty was builten to some crimes, just as rape and murder. They give the death penalty to the accused person. So all the society was very calm and prosper due to peace safety.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN][ICO] MONEYPOT X (MPX) -- Fuel the Moneypot Network | Built Products🌟 on: September 15, 2017, 08:10:30 AM
where i can find the token price?Huh i can´t see it in anywhere, we can buy as a pre-sale or need to wait until ICO launch???

thanks
Yes, we must wait until ICO to be launched to know the exact price of one MPX token. I guess this will be the usual practice and how much discount we can get alone will be promoted in pre-ico phase. We can get $130 worth of tokens for $100 if we contribute on day one of ICO. I guess what else one investor need to know  Wink
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am an Chinese, and I know what happened, and I will buy more crypto assets. on: September 14, 2017, 11:52:38 AM
i wish you luck ! and i hope that you are right ! Smiley

Well, you can still use the virtual private network (VPN) for you not to be traced by your government during bitcoin transaction especially if you are in China.
Then to receive your cash maybe you could use paypal and western union options using your friends abroad if you have names of them. I hope this is just a temporary ban by China and realize that bitcoins will help people to be lifted up from financial difficulties.
you expect me to rely on one Chinese commenting he’s standing for bitcoin? Nope, I won’t do that. I need more proofs for me to believe that. By the way they’ve done the highest thing they can do to bitcoin, and whatever move they take next I believe won’t really affect Bitcoin that much. It’s left for them to join us or get the f**k out!
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Revolution in Nigeria on: September 14, 2017, 11:19:24 AM
Hi Bitcoinaires... can we have Cryptocurrency Fans and Advocates in Nigeria follow this thread so we could possibly galvanize our strengths and dreams in order to advance the cause of cryptocurrencies in Nigeria and possibly form a team to censor and discourage SCAM COINS by community effort and idea contributions....

Let the Revolution Begin!!!
In Nigeria, it’s quite different from how it is in other countries. I’m saying from own experience living in Nigeria. They don’t really get steady power.supply, so it’s likely to be hard for them to get into Bitcoin mining. Their internet access is through subscription. One good thing I really love is seeing the good people standing against scam in their country.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more profitable, trading in Crypto coins or trading in stock market?? on: September 14, 2017, 10:47:31 AM
Which is more profitable, trading in Bitcoin/Altcoins or trading in stock market?? I have some bitter experience trading in stock market, and I am some what new to this Crypto trading, so please share your thoughts.  Huh
I think stock market and crypto trading are all the same. One thing you should know is that there are people who are meant to lose while there are people also meant to win. Some people understands the market so it’s easy for them like a pie, but for you who’s not an expert, you’re bound to lose.
633  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: September 14, 2017, 09:44:26 AM
Online wallets is enough for storing our bitcoins. Banking our coins takes time because it requires to file your documents and process it. But in e-wallets, so easy to access, manage and monitor because it is handy and we carry it we ever we go. We can make huge profits if we have only the full control to our btc through buy and sell.
You know, it pisses me out a lot when I see people mention things about having a bitcoin bank. Like seriously, what is a Bitcoin bank? Let me just put it this way– what will a bank offer in Bitcoin? Is it not to offer you a debit card, oh you need a Bitcoin cheque book? Like wtf... ain’tXapo and Coinbase enough? They offer what a bank can offer, so don’t ask for more.
634  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: September 14, 2017, 08:35:13 AM
Dreaming of becoming rich isn't really bad ambition. In fact, for me, it's a choice. I believe that doing and earning bitcoin is one of the key ingredients today of achieving that dream.

Well, though i haven't had a chunk of bitcoin since, im still determined of making my dreams come true in the future.
Exactly, there is no wrong in dreaming high. Ambitions in our life is just a motivation to us that we must have to do something and work for it  in order to make it possible. Become rich with bitcoin is possible to reach, hardwork and patience towards this may help you to succeed. Not today but possible to happen in a long run, the most important is that you'll never give-up.
I have a vision, and I must accomplish it. There are lots of responsibilities I got to take care of, lots of things I got to do and lots of problems I’ve got to solve and they all requires money to do such. Now Bitcoin seems to be a bigger opportunity to accomplish all these things. I pray God help me through this.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we push the actual use of Bitcoin ? on: September 13, 2017, 03:49:26 PM
I know we are having a slow groth among the merchants around the world about awareneess of Bitcoin but I think, we shold work under a targeted stratagy focusing on the merchants and it will indirectly grab eyeballs of the potential Bitcoin users and will boost the user base down the road.

In my country, there are currently two major exchanges are both of them are working to build such awarness amount the potential users of Bitcoin. Even though less than 1% of the population have ever heard about Bitcoin but such practices would defineatly help to inculcate Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
I believe the community has done enough, for once let’s stop trying to convince people to get into Bitcoin and focus on ourselves. Like seriously, you ain’tgonna force people to do what you wish them to. Just focus on your business, and when they see you getting rich and being the coolest person in the neighborhood, they will be forced to join, though it might be late.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: September 13, 2017, 03:14:04 PM
I think that bitcoin does not reduce the unemployment rate. It's just a currency that you also need to earn, but for this you must have access to the Internet which many unemployed do not.
Bitcoin is meant to be online, that’s why it is a digital money and it doesn’t need to be in a physical form. And yes, Bitcoin can reduce unemployment, because I am among those that witnessed it. Uuhm…mine wasn’t actually being unemployed, but it changed my job to a better one.
637  Economy / Economics / Re: plan for the future with bitcoin on: September 13, 2017, 02:39:16 PM
now this bitcoin has a lot to use as a place of investment
but I want bitcoin as a front investment who have done it
let's share with me how to invest with bitcoin for the future

Eehm…lots of similar questions, but what else will I say if not you should keep investing into Bitcoin and using whatever profits you make from the investments to achieve something greater than what you already have. Try to set up your future by building what you can rely on then.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: September 13, 2017, 02:05:07 PM
I think bitcon will continue to become number one crypto  curency in the future. It has become more popular which resulted to the demand to increase. Many country as well as establishment also starting to adopt bitcoin which means the market for bitcoin will grow more in the coming years.
Whenever people think about crypto currencies, the first thing that comes in the mind is Bitcoin before other currencies. Whenever people wants to get into tech stock investment, they start with Bitcoin, so how do you expect Bitcoin to be overtaken by Ethereum? Bitcoin is at $4.5k+, while Ethereum is still at the rate of $330. Ethereum still got a long way to go.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee "Error: This transaction requires a transaction fee of at least" on: September 13, 2017, 01:32:00 PM
Am I mistaken or do transaction not technically require fees? I was under the impression that 0 fee transactions were allowed, while definitely not advised for obvious reasons. But it is perfectly allowed to send 1 satoshi/byte for example (again, not recommended). I think this is why the fees were so high not long ago, because the exchanges force them up trying to push through transactions and avoid complaints, as well as keep their business flowing. This is why we need Lightning Network yesterday!
Every transaction do requires a transaction fee that is worth about $5+, without it your transaction won’t be processed, talk less of being confirmed on the network. And you can’t send 1 Satoshi these days, because if you do, they will get lost. Some wallets allows a minimum of 0.005 (exclusion of fees).
640  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there a need for more escrows on this forum? on: September 13, 2017, 12:57:17 PM
yes we need but i [erfer to be escrow service like bitfy not use green trust members
Well, I’m not used to making use of the escrows and the rest. When I buy online, I do so on sites with integrity. Even if I want to use escrow, I wouldn’t do it with just anyone. There are right places to such.
