I don't think most older rpi are not really that sufficient to run the bitcoin software on.

Some people do succeed though:  http://blog.pryds.eu/2014/06/compile-bitcoin-core-on-raspberry-pi.html
Note B+ or B rev2.

Sorry its a B+ Smiley

I have followed various of guides, but a friend of mine told me the problem is on Githubs site.
It's definitely not github.  Something's going on with your side.

Don't try to clone a branch, clone the repo.  Then, switch to the branch you want.

I have downloaded the files now, but I am not able to use the command qmake to start creating the qt

625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Rasp pi unable to download BTC wallet on: March 27, 2015, 11:35:00 AM
So..

I am working on getting my wallet to my rasp pi Model B.

But when I try to git clone -b 0.10.10 https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin.git or https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin.src then it either says: " 403 error while accessing https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin.git/info/refs
fatal: HTTP request failed"

I have never used Linux before.. So I am a complete noob.

How do I get this going???

Thank you

~Hamuki
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain download on: March 27, 2015, 10:06:16 AM
Isnt there a lighter version for this to create nodes?

Because the blockchain is over 30 gigs now.

Not to create a full node.

There are plenty of other wallets that don't need to download the entire block chain, but don't create a full node.

Oke, thanks for info.

www.coinmarketcap.com shows the price of altcoins in USD and BTC.
www.coinwarz.com for mining calculations.

I hope it helps Smiley
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitseed - Run a full bitcoin node device! on: March 26, 2015, 05:24:29 PM
I have created a Full Bitcoin Node on the Raspberry pi 2 with a power usage of only 5 watts.
It is fully plug and play only thing you have to do is forward port 8333 in your router settings.
The node runs Bitcoin Core 0.10, a script will start bitcoind as soon as the device is powered up, hassle free node Smiley

My full Node includes:
Raspberry pi 2 in case (quad core 900mhz ARM7 with 1Gb of RAM)
64 GB micro SD card with Bitcoin Core 0.10 and the complete Blockchain on it (compiled on Raspbian weezy)
5v 2A power adapter

This node is for sale for 105€ excl shipping.

I will setup a order website soon, in the mean time PM me if you want a fast, open source Bitcoin Node with NO NSA backdoors Wink

Kind regards,
PB

In other words, 114$.
I can do it cheaper... Muahahhahahahahahhaha xD

Cheaper maybe, but not easier. This is literally plug-and-play Smiley

Ehhm... I just dont take as high a profit like you do.. That is the only difference.

My "profit" is a measly 10€, which is in no way in comparison with the work and time invested Wink

Oh, then you dont have the best ways to get the hardware needed.
Well, good luck Smiley

You will have a competetor very soon Tongue

632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitseed - Run a full bitcoin node device! on: March 26, 2015, 04:30:21 PM
It's not so easy to run a node on raspberry pi since it requires a good setup (move partitions to usb, use an external HDD and at least raspberry pi 2 to have a decent node).

Raspberry PI B is able to run a BTC node.

A 32 GB MicroSD card is needed, but looks like it requires bigger in the near future.
But I still want to check some possibilities for this since it could be fun and cheaper.
32gb is only 11$ and the 64 is like 28 by the time the 64gb is required it'll probably be 20$

11$+Shipping.
And The blockchain has hit 30 Gigs..
And its moving fast.

So it might be good to have 64 Gigs instead.

I just started working on the cheapest option for nodes and will hopefully succeed..
If I do.. Then I will only be taking a Small (under 10$) profit pr node I can make..

When I get the things made more easy for myself, then I might take less if I can get bulk orders.

I want to do it for free.. But its not free to drive to the postal office, and it requires a lot of time.

Will be working over the weekend for a cheaper solution.

(A price below 85$ pr node)
635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitseed - Run a full bitcoin node device! on: March 26, 2015, 10:50:55 AM
Dam it!  I've been working on a similar project, which i was calling the 10,000 node project.  www.10000nodes.com

Been interested in seeing how this product does.

Well, your project is 50$ cheaper than this one.
That makes you the one that people will buy from.

The website looks awesome.

I think im gonna see if I can get into some of this too and produce some fun stuff like this Tongue

I respect people who believes in a religion..
But the moment they tell me that I live my life wrong and I will go to hell and all that crap..

Then I cant take a person serious.

The moon was never split.. It is the remains of earth coliding with another planet.
A person invented algebra, no god did.
A person wrote the Quran, no god did.

If you believe that.. Then fine with me.. Just dont tell me I am wrong when you dont have any proof.
Something that shows scientificly that its 100% correct, with no doubts.

That's a little funny. Why? Even science cannot prove without a doubt that people exist. There simply isn't enough scientific information available to do that. Someday there might be. But I doubt it.

Smiley

hehe, well they cant proove anything at all.
They just refere to a book written by a psycho all the time..
637  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France plane crash: No survivors expected [Condolences to the families] on: March 26, 2015, 09:11:45 AM
Officials say that a pilot was locked out of the cockpit and was banging on the door.
Atlast he tried to kick the door in.

Sadly he was unable to get it.

This still leaves the question... Why did the other pilot not respond?

That's the thing, I don't think any channels will be willing to do anything with how much he's pissed certain people off.

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/jeremy-clarkson-sacked-channel-4-and-other-major-broadcasters-rule-out-hiring-him-10133750.html

Well, it depends on how money hungry they are..
Because it will make some good money..
640  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi Arabia attack Yemen on: March 26, 2015, 08:59:57 AM
Its was with coalition forces..
I dont see it as an act of war, its an act of deffense.

It wasnt a strike on Yemen Civilians or officials.
It was an attack on terrorists.
