That is actually a false idea that they are ethnically homogeneous. United States have poured billions of dollars into the nuclear weapons and research facilities, and those same institutions are also responsible for overall nuclear research and its energy applications. Recently national ignition facility at lawerence livermore nuclear laboratory succeeded in a temporary ignition of fusion power, a huge mile stone for fusion as a legitimate energy source.

Instead of fantasizing about flowers and pixie dust and tree hugging paradise, we must be practical in researching a source of new energy.
