621  Economy / Speculation / Re: GUESS LIST CLOSEST TO ATH @END OF THIS YEAR on: July 21, 2018, 11:50:07 AM
Well, I'm trying to be positive that the ETF will be approved, there have been some pretty good news and predictions around. If it will, the price may very well shoot to new ATH and if it does that, only sky is the limit, or the moon, or jupiter. Also JP Morgan will get their crypto exchange live (I haven't researched this anymore though, news is a few months old) and some big hedge funds will start investing to BTC. And the "Bart Simpson" graphs when it started bouncing at 6-8k levels showed that there is massive manipulation, probably by new buyers and Wall Street maybe, giving a small hint that some big players might want to step in and if so, they want the price shoot high when they have done buying. All this is SOMA (Straight Off My Ass, copyrighted by BrewMaster). So taking all that into account, my overly bullish price prediction is:

$44'222

Too bad you missed the presale. Now you have to pay full price for your Varyon like a poor. Embarrassed

Luckily I am poor, so no harm done Smiley Or wait, I still have those western world privileges so I actually don't know.

JOIN,still missing many

I would, but unfortunately I lack the merit Sad sucks to be a stupid newbie, though I've been around here since 2013 Cheesy firstly without an account, then made an user named "maakas", which I didn't use much though, as I did mostly read only one thread and it was this one, had nothing to say so didn't see a point logging in.

I agree, we worked every which way to not create a shitcoin. We spoke to so many lawyers, industry experts, all of the big ICO companies (Consensus, etc.), spoke with Vitalik, pulled in as much knowledge on our unique setup as we could. The difficulty being that the project is an international project that will have assets all over the world and maybe some in international waters eventually. Our team is international with 5 founders in 4 different countries, our build team in the Netherlands, staff and volunteers everywhere. We incorporated in Singapore then moved it all to Gibraltar after enough input.

In the end we tried to get a utility token as close to being a security without it being a security but we are still taking the approach that if it is classified as a security we are still covered (no Chinese or non-accredited US citizens, KYC/AML, etc.). While varyon holders aren't directly profit sharing, it's structured in such a way that when we sell platforms the value of varyon 'may' go up (trying to word that in such a way that does not say what the SEC won't let me say).

Personally I bought enough varyon so I can buy a bungalow or villa once they are created. They will also be used to pay for residency, used for voting, and paying for anything related to Blue Frontiers. While anyone is still free to accept whatever currency they want on the seastead (unless you're on the commie seastead under a dictator then you're stuck with the commie coin).

Subscribed on all three lists you had on the webpage, this is for sure a very interesting project. Somewhere I see myself living in the future, if I have enough coins to support that ofcourse Smiley

Second (failed) penetration attempt.  Double Bullish.  Bears can't hold the line forever.

Will the third one be the charm?

If it doesn't go through the third time, will we be going back to see 5xxx or even lower levels?

Thoughts?

Sneakers for the current market situation.

628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2018, 01:56:48 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had a bit of a dip, all the way down to where we were over a week ago...$6393USD/$8390CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Why does this always seem (lately) to happen when I'm short on cash to buy more coins?

I can't bitch though. It's only money and I'm not impoverished quite yet.

maybe it doesn't go down to 3xxx levels after all Smiley

That 3xxx nonsense is just wishful thinking by people who missed the boat (or panic sold at the bottom) and desperately want the price to go down.

That 3xxx nonsense is something that you just can't dismiss outright. Sure we all want the price to go over the moon. Possibly even higher. But there's no denying we're in a strong bear market right now. There's every chance that it will go down.

Well, ofcourse I'm wishing it to dip to 3xxx levels to get some cheap coins, but I'll buy some more anyways whatever the price. And I'm too scared to sell anything in this market, just buying.
629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2018, 04:14:01 PM
From another thread:

"BUY THE DIP GUYS!"

"THIS IS THE BOTTOM GUYS!"

"WE ARE ENTERING A NEW BULL MARKET!"

So, how did that work out? LOL

Here's a quick fact. People in the real world don't want your fantasy imaginary money that can be hacked at any moment and offers no privacy whatsoever.

kwukduck is around, so we must be nearing the bottom, maybe it doesn't go down to 3xxx levels after all Smiley

It may seem that I am attempting to "bust your balls" but it is merely an interaction with the substance, and your english (even if you are using translation software) seems to be decently good enough to get across your intentions.

I think that your tentative buying plan sounds good, and at least you are attempting to hedge a bit with buying and planning for incrementals.

You admit that your strategy is a bit of a gambling approach, and so at least you realize what you are doing in that regard.

Surely, my strategy has quite a lot less of a gambling approach, and currently, I am buying in about $300 increments on the way down, without really trying to predict exactly how far the price will go down.  For example if the price goes down to $3k, I will still have about 50% of my current fiat stash to buy further.  I don't expect the price to go down that far, but surely, even a 30% chance could end up playing out to become a 100% chance, once it happens.

I don't really see any utility with your plan to buy on the way up, if the price were to go up to $7,500.  That kind of strategy just does not make sense to me, even though I understand that a lot of folks play like that, and to each his own.. you have to accept and live with your own strategy, and something that works for you financially and/or psychologically, might not work for me (or at least might not feel good for me).

No, no software used, just my brain, still I feel I can't explain myself properly, words get stuck and I have to think through too much what I'm writing, hard to express myself freely in that way. Maybe I'm just not confident enough, better than being overconfident Smiley

The plan for way up is just not to miss the "train", I probably won't buy anything the first time it touches 75xx if I don't firmly believe the trend has reversed from bearish to bullish, but keeping an eye more on the market and seeing where it goes. For example, if I had my buying zone around 67xx, I wouldn't have bought anything with this small pump, at it doesn't seem to have any strength behind it (it's already falling).

But yeah, I get bored very easily and I don't like the feeling, that's why I'm trying to keep things interesting whatever I'm doing, even when it has a much more riskier outcome. Kind of an adrenaline junkie too, love extreme sports for example.
631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2018, 11:30:32 AM

How could I be wrong or assuming, when I am merely attempting to make a parity out of your earlier post by summing it up?

Are you now qualifying what you said,  or are you asserting that I mischaracterized what you said?

I meant mischaracterisation. And I just woke up when I wrote that, I'm grumpy in the mornings Smiley

So what?  We get articles that go with the momentum all the time, and when the trend reverses, those articles end up being wrong.  You are not saying much by merely describing what a bunch of articles are saying, especially if they are just talking about the trend... and having higher (or lower) expectations depending on the then BTC price direction.

Was just trying to explain why I said what I said. I know I'm not saying much, as I feel that my knowledge on the subject is much much lower than of the average user in this thread.

Well, yes many of us had sentiments regarding the topping of the BTC that just kept going up, and up, and up, and I had similar sentiments.

It remains amazing how those bullish sentiments work, and the bearish sentiments work in similar ways, too.

At some point, any of us become wrong.

I'm still learning, or maybe I should say I'm trying to see some patterns in my own way, really hard to explain it and I lack english skills to do so aswell. So far I have been mostly right, though I don't want anyone else to follow my predictions, as I don't have any real TA to back it up.

Ok.  That is good, but that is not what you seemed to be saying in your previous post.

In any event, if you are not tweaking your previous prediction, then it seems that you are continuing to anticipate the BTC price to bottom out in the $3k-ish price territory...    What kind of action are you taking to prepare for your anticipation of the price movements?  Did you sell some or all, or are you planning to do it at certain price points?  Are you holding?  Are you planning to buy?  If you are planning to buy, at what price points would you do it?  Do you play with margin or not?

It's hard to explain myself sometimes, as english is my third language and most of my writing comes from straight translations, can get messy like that.

Yeah, I'm still thinking it will dip down to 3xxx levels, probably on the higher end, again this is just an insight and no real info to back it up.

You know I have a gambler spirit, so my predictions and buying strategy should taken as such. I know it's risky, but I don't like too balanced way of thinking, it's boring Smiley I can win big and I can lose big, nevertheless I'm not putting in money I can't afford to lose (like I did in the past and had to sell everything in 2015, in the worst market possible)

I have X amount of FIAT ready to buy, of what I'm holding about 50% to try and buy the dip (3xxx), 25% of it is to buy when it touches 48xx and the rest will wait for 55xx. If it starts to shoot up, I will spend 50% of it on 75xx and will keep the rest for the time being, maybe play around with alts if the market shoots up and convert winnings from there to BTC later.

I like to keep things interesting and my heart pounding, being it from pumps or dumps, doesn't matter, as long as I can get some action.
632  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2018, 05:26:18 AM
So price wise, is this going deeper or are we out of the dark? I personally think that we will go and test prices around 3xxx, where it should bounce back up. Again, no real TA behind it, just my own prediction based on different articles and stuff.

Would like to hear what TA specialists have to say about this. And maybe throw us some graphs.

You read a bunch of articles saying that bitcoin is going down, therefore the weight of the evidence causes you to feel that there are pretty decent chances that bitcoin is going down.

That makes a lot of sense.    Roll Eyes

You are wrong, try not to assume so much. In December most articles were about how it's going to the moon and extreme levels, though I was pretty sure around 12-13k it will crash soon and hard, ppl were still buying pretty actively then. I can read 10 positive articles and have a negative view after that, or vice versa.

634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling bottom in September 2018 on: July 08, 2018, 06:02:58 PM

here you go, have a merit for your honesty Cheesy
anyways in 2015 the price had reached the bottom between $200 and $250, there is always some fluctuations in the market so t here is a range of price as the bottom, mostly at $220 though. and the drop that happened was a one time short lived dump that pushed the price to $150 for a couple of hours only before it jumped back up. it was done to test the strength of the buy support by some whale and the fast jump back proved the accumulation that was happening back then.

Cheers for the merit mate!

Is it copyrighted by you? So I can use the name in the future, as I'm probably going to use that phrase again.

I remember the 2015 dip, was watching it live on my phone (I think it went to $144 in bitstamp) and telling some friends that it was a really good time to buy, only one of many listened unfortunately. Let's hope I'll see a big dip this time too and can buy some cheap coinz Smiley I'm gambling a bit atm, keeping my fiat ready to buy some in the 3xxx area.

Buying at bottom or selling at ATH is like winning jackpot. You, me and no one else on this forum won any jackpots so far.  It is waste of time to fell bad that you did not sold at ATH or buy at bottom. You will just worry for nothing.

Oh, don't worry, I won't feel bad if I can't sell the peak or buy the dip, if my prediction fails I just spend the fiat for more expensive coins, that's all. So I'm not worrying at all, I just have a gambler spirit and I like to test my own theories out, trying to be subtle makes things more interesting. Being too balanced is boring. And boring is just, boring.

I hope $5,800 is the last bottom that i was going to see this year, i don't know what to do with another bottom coming this year. It's too deep to compare the previous price of bitcoin if it's going to happen. I hope they weren't right of that speculation because i can't take to wait for more than 9 months since bitcoin was down.

Probably not, we might be seeing some bullish signs at the moment but it probably will come test lower levels, maybe touch even 3xxx, though I think that's unlikely. I'm thinking it will come down to 48xx levels, no real TA behind it, just SOMA (Straight Off My Ass, copyrighted by someone). Late 2014, early 2015 nobody thought it will go lower than 250, but it went and stayed there for some time. But yeah, much has changed since then, more adoption and more "smart money", so we really can't take the past into account.
637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price jump - Is this a bullish sign? on: July 04, 2018, 04:09:57 PM
I'm guessing it's another beartrap, maybe a mini bullrun but it will be over soon and we will see lower lows. I'm still guessing it goes below 5k, somewhere 47xx-48xx is my guess. Isn't backed up by anything, just a thought from reading different TA articles etc.

Good morning Bitcoinland and happy Independence Day to all in the land of the incarcerated and the home of the militarily emboldened.

I see we had another wee leg up... currently $6692USD/$8805CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Hopefully this short-term uptrend will become longer-term. Go Bitcoin go.

Hello Jimbo. Just wanted to say hello, you are my idol and such a legend. Thanks for being here.
