True,  but if there were a syndicate for the lottery that had more than half the tickets, would you fancy your chances of winning on your own, or getting a smaller jackpot as part of a group.

If you like the risk/thrill of solo mining and dont actually want to be guaranteed a return from your mining rig, then solo away.  If you want to make a more guaranteed return from your rig, thenn pool.

All imho of course and individual results may vary lol.

IMHO, given that this coin has its own "luck" integrated into the values of blocks found, then pool mining is the only sensible way forward unless you have like 40/50 MHash/s.

Pool mining irons out the inbuilt luck of the coin itself and returns it back to a normal mining average.  If it was a standard payout coin like others, then I would agree that based over a long time solo and pool mining should return the same average.

However, given that this coin has these nice "mega blocks" etc, these are much more likely to be found in a pool, so better to have a share of those than hope you may get one of them solo mining.  Anything below crazy high hash rate now that the difficulty is no longer the 0.6 it used to be in early days, its just not as profitable solo mining on this coin, im absolutely convinced of it.

Yep - the transaction confirmed.  but the website did not put me in the reserved spot, even though I got the green message asking for the deposit.  All is refunded now.

Though of course it will probably be next month before I manage to get another chance to buy in as everyone is having to compete against those that are cheating to get in first.

Looks like I have now encountered a problem on coinbomb.

I managed to get in on one I can afford - got the green message to deposit 410262 coins.  Sent the deposit, but when the page refreshed it says the spot is reserved for somebody else (the same person that is spamming it all the time and reserving before anyone else).

So now it looks like ive sent the deposit for somebody else!!!  WTF?!?!?!   410,262 coinc may not be a lot to some, its more than half what I have now!!

I thinkwhat he means is that if the transaction does not confirm, you just click buy again and wait until the transaction does confirm.  fine in theory, but as you say with lots of people hammering the buy button, this doesnt work in reality.

my honest thoughts are that there should be a lot more games like this for the coin.  ones with much smaller increases, say 3%, starting at 100 lot.  it would allow newbies to the coin and people who dont have huge amounts to get in on the fun.  with the present 20-110% games, it only takes a few rounds until the lot is higher than the jackpot, so its a game of just hoping somebody buys you out.  take lot 2 for example, it made it back to 2.3M in just a couple of hours.  now its going to probably sit there for a week.  either stake/percent interest needs reducing or the 7 day timer needs to be nearer 24 hours imho.

If a coin is going to fork, then I'd rather be on the side that isn't useless.

Plus with a coin that has in built "luck" like the mega blocks, I'd rather be on a pool with more chance of finding those mega blocks.

What hash rate?   Difficulty has hit near 10 at times today, so payout has been a little lower all round today.

 May show as confirmed on yours but not elsewhere.  Worth backing up the wallet and trying a redownload anyway.  Or if you have a backup of the wallet prior to the problem, try using that and redownloading blockchain.

PS. No you aren't cheating, but some others are.  One of the cheats even tried to justify it a few pages ago! Lol

See, xdfg has taken his scripting not off, so now anonymous gets in.  So xdfg prospers from somebody buying the lot.  Next time I see a cheat buying a bomb I'm going to leave it.  Best way to stop them cheating is to let them lose 1m+ coins buy being the last to buy.

Yep, xdfg is using scripting to get the bomb before everyone else.  He's even reserved it to buy from himself, but of course will not keep it running this time.

I had a case earlier this week where I sent coins to another person, my wallet showed it as going, but the transaction never got any confirms.  I had a backup of my wallet onanother mavhine, so I reinstalled the wallet, copied my wallet.dat over and had the entire blockchain redownload again.  Coins were back in my wallet as if they had never left.

Worth a try?   Just make sure you backup your wallet somewhere before removing the user data/roaming/lottocoin directory.

Thats real bad - I was watching that and amazed that the counter reset and no new owner.  First time Ive seen a problem tbh.  Hopefully the dev will be able to refund you and see the transactions.  Thats an awful large amount to go missing.

It would certainly do the game a lot of good PR wise, as losing that much is going to make people nervous about playing the game..  imho.

Im guessing the smart money is hoping that they can keep the coins, keep mining on relatively low difficulty and hope it flys just under the radar for a little while longer.

Double edged sword,  get it on cryptsy and in peoples faces now and difficulty will rocket, maybe along with price for a short while. Those who got in on the coin early will makea bit of money and it will then die off as another has been coin.   Id prefer slow and steady growth rather than a big flash in the pan and fizzle out (doge).  Nice stable steady growth in price and mining.  Look for the big bang and it will be over before we know it.

Get the games and interest sorted and exchanges will follow.  All in good time imho.

There seems to be a stack of people playing the coinbomb games for it, as its almost impossible to get a buy on an early stage bomb.

I do hope one of the whales that was farming 10-20m coins a day can see it in their heart to buy LOT 4 from deviant.  Pardon the pun but he has done an awful lot for this coin and community, so would not like to see him disheartened and lose out.

The big swings in difficulty and overall network hash rate suggest to me that there is an auto switching pool with LOT in its makeup.  Anyone aware of such a pool?  Im assuming they must be using the coinedup exchange rate in any calculations.  Never seen an auto switching pool mine on a coin that isnt at least on cryptsy.  Very strange.  Dont know whether its good or bad, as its popularity must be going up (driving the price upward), but also if there is an auto switching pool, it will no doubt be dumping at regular intervals on coinedup, which will keep prices down.

imho, the auto trading multi pools are doing a diservice as the constant dumps in large volumes just drives values down across multiple coins.
