I'm getting absolutely absurd info back from CUDAminer......Geforce GTX 280....... cudaminer -H 1 -i 0 -l auto -C 1 --algo=keccak --url stratum+tcp://erebor.dwarfpool.com:3339/ --user wallet address --pass 1

Each auto tune comes up with a TOTALLY different config, and I mean different by a long shot. MSI afterburner shows GPU running at 13%, desktop lags for a few seconds, then is normal for a few. Core Voltage(mV) 1188, Core Clock 665, Mem clock 1305. Fans at 68% and temps normal@61C.

Any ideas?

do you think solo mining is still viable?

Once I get a wallet address I can mine it with cudaminer on 1gh pool....or at least try. Farm is running fine on a non-scam coin. Only doing this for lulz

How do I get a wallet address? Windows user!
627  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: black miner - what do you think? on: February 07, 2014, 02:29:23 AM
They are essentially charging you $1600+ to put 20 gridseeds in a fancy dress. And that is using the hyper-inflated prices of some resellers of gridseed.(been quote $5100+300 shipping for 20 gridseeds) Because...horrible deal

Just so you know, if you are spamming this thread over and over trying to get me to come to your pool, THINK AGAIN!

chaosagent, I will NEVER be joining any of your pools, EVER!
Same for you Pengcoin and a few others.

You have posted you have a pool, good for you. There is no need to be advertising it 4 times a page. THAT is why we have so dam many pages to go through to find actual info.

STOP IT PLEASE!!!!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to set up a GTX 280? Running the 2-04-2014 version it gets <14kh/s, which seems terribly low. I have afterburner installed and has messed around a bit, but nothing I have done seems to change anything. They auto tune in cudaminer chooses F46x1. I haven't played with much else: cudaminer.exe -H 1 -i 0 -l F46x1 -C 1 -o host:port -O username:pass

Don't go out of your way, I'm only messing with it because I'm bored shiatless atm. But if you can give me a hint or two, maybe my results will help someone else later.

Did you try POOLNETWORK? http://phi.poolnetwork.org/index.php

Is it legit?

My balance is 0 after some time... ~50k# but still...

Confirmed blocks are being paid out after 120 confirms.. You should have a confirmed and unconfirmed balance. PM me if you get any further problems Smiley

Please change your logoff time thingy. Every few minutes when I go to check, I'm logged off again :/ Some of us don't WANT to be constantly logged off!
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed GC3355 -Hybrid Scrypt/SHA256 ASIC on: February 05, 2014, 11:46:24 PM
Since someone mentioned Jack Liam AKA asianbtc AKA lightningasic, I'll post my convo with him as it seems the price fluctuates quite a bit.

Jack:" i have USB cell. 300KHS, LA3M, 3MHS, LA6M 6MHS scrypt."
Price is "LA6M, usd5100+usd300 for express" <-----------------------------------------------------which means 6mh/s of gridseed units

This next quoted thing doesn't make much sense as it says "4 PCS", which could mean 4 of the LA3M............ each being 3MH/s of gridseeds.
Jack: "4 PCS LA3M. usd2750 including dhl express"

From my understand LA3M=10 gridseed units in a "cell" and LA6M is 20 gridseeds in a cell. He says all power supplies, cables, etc. are included.

I think the last quote is either in error or is a dam good deal. 4x LA3M cells, 40 gridseeds in total, for 2750usd($68.75 for each 5 chip gridseed)..........but 1x LA6M which is 20 gridseeds would be $5100........so something ain't right.

I have a friend in China that can get them for me, so I didn't ask Jack to clarify on the LA3M thing. I just let it drop since $5100 for an LA6M is far higher than advertised anywhere else, making Jack a bit shady to me. Well at least extremely greedy, if not outright shady.

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just passing on info I have Smiley
632  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 02, 2014, 08:50:49 AM
I've been trying to run some numbers to justify these, but am coming up woefully empty. My 6 GPU rigs cost ~0.75 a KH, while these are almost double that at ~1.30 a KH(100 bulk pricing). My power is cheap at 0.08. Even though I am about to have to do a power service upgrade to handle more miners, I still can't find a way to justify these dualminers......hard as I try. Dollar for dollar I get ~50% daily earnings with these.

At the current price point, it is undoable for me, but at $57 I'm a bulk buyer. With other units like the Alpha tech looming, you will seriously have to adjust prices sooner than later to get widespread adoption. I realize at this point you are able to sell all you can get and that is reflected in the price. But that thinking might bite you in the ass when products like Alpha ships. You will not have gotten miners to commit their funds to your product and a much better product hits=long term fail. Short term success and long term fail is not a good business model. When a buyer is faced with the option of getting an inferior expensive product quickly, or saving for a better unit, most will simply save up. Alpha is roughly the same price as 100 of your sticks, but hashes WAY faster.

My advice, drop prices ASAP and get miners committed to your product. If you fail at doing that, you will not survive long.

Below is an email I got on Jan. 17th, where they claim miners are not scheduled to ship until the very end of the month...........which is total BS. Units should have shipped Jan. week 1 and already be in the hands of users.....but they say none have shipped=SCAM!!!

Hello,
we haven't shipped any units yet, why exactly would you think that?
The first miners ship at the very end of this month.

635  Other / Beginners & Help / Couldn't resolve host 'stratum+tcp' on: January 14, 2014, 08:55:49 AM
Can someone please tell me how to fix this error. I get it no matter what type coin I'm trying to mine. I've tried downloading stratum proxy set-up, but it seems each one I find it already configured for a certain coin, not the coin I'm trying to mine. At the moment I'm trying to get set up on Win7x64 to cpu mine 42coin. I have the 42 client, I'm in 2 different pools, I have workers.....but can't connect. WTF am I missing?

So all I ever get is:
Couldn't resolve host 'stratum+tcp'
Couldn't connect. Please check pool server and port
json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

TIA Smiley
