Inasmuch a football is concerned, a player can't be bigger than a club, or is the player going to pass the ball and score goals by himself? You see the success of a player most times is determined by his teammates because if their is no team work  that particular player may find it difficult to excel so for me all I'm saying is that he should forget about anything that will draw his career backwards and focus on achieving a world class performance either through his current club or any other club he might like to sign contract with.
Actually it's possible. Take a look with Ronaldo who left Manchester United, Manchester United become a bad team like Chelsea. Ronaldo joining Al Nassr, he make Saudi Pro League become bigger and keep being discussed by many people.

Messi left PSG and it make PSG's social media lose a lot followers. PSG only have Mbappe right now, if he leave, PSG is nothing different like FC Porto, mostly dominated in domestic league and has no chance to become a champion in Champions League.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 24, 2023, 11:34:57 AM
Victor Osimhen has recorded huge success in Napoli and has also given his best since joining Napoli in 2020 so for me irrespective of the mockery Napoli made on him it's not enough reason for him to reject the club even after official apology by the club. The mockery the club made about him is childish and irresponsible but I think he should be more focused on his career rather than listening to criticism by the club or any football body. He should accept the contract and move on my own opinion though.
Napoli forget if they're just a small team while Osimhen is bigger than them, Liverpool is a good team if he want to play in Premier League. Since Salah high likely will join Saudi Pro League, he will become the only one goal scorer for Liverpool.

When Osimhen join other team, Napoli need to wait at least 33 years to become a champion again lol.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 24, 2023, 11:28:19 AM
I'm surprised to see people say rich is someone who don't have to work, buy anything without see the tag, and can travel freely. I don't think such person exist except you're the son of billionaire e.g. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos etc. When you're already mature and your rich father want to give his business to you, even the business is autopilot but every important decision will be made by you.

You still need to work, even not in the business.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 24, 2023, 07:04:40 AM
For today, maybe I will bet on some early matches that are quite clear to make money such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Napoli.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid which I think has no chance to lose.

Arsenal still has a chance to lose since they were lose against Lens. Napoli will play without Osimhen since he's injured, so it's quite risky.

I think other match that a sure win is Newcastle vs Dortmund, Dortmund is on the bottom, so bet Newcastle to win.

If you want to take a risk, you can bet Milan to win since PSG isn't that good even they still have Mbappe.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 24, 2023, 06:45:47 AM
Haaland is still the player with the most goals earlier this season. 9 matches scored 9 goals. Followed by Moh Salah with 7 goals. I think Haaland will still be the favourite to be the top scorer this season.
I'm sure it's Haaland again because there's no team is rely on one striker as good as Manchester City. Salah isn't a pure striker, he share the goals with Nunez. Son is the only one striker, but they're not better than Manchester City. While Isak and Bowen are just lucky.

In the next few years, Hojlund can compete Haaland in terms of top scorer.

theymos knows there will be dark markets for merit but he does not feel big problems with merit sales.

It is not good but not like a thing will destroy Bitcointalk and abuse can be handled by demerit or take the merit source position back. Merit transactions are public and merit sales, merit abuse can be seen by everyone with Bitcointalk Merit Ledger.
So the abuse is still not handled right since we don't have demerit and stoppage of merit source?

To be honest I don't think merit source is the problem because they have a lot merit and it's fair for them to support their local boards etc. The problem is non merit sources, they easily abuse it after they get many merit from merit sources.

There's no proof if merit abuse is always merit selling and if you tag someone because they only abusing merit system, you will not become a DT member anymore which mean such action is destroy yourself.

If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.
627  Economy / Economics / Re: how businesses swindle the minimum wage employee on: October 22, 2023, 01:28:44 PM
I'm not really sure how's your life in your country if you get paid $20800 pretax per year, but in third world countries you're a millionaire and most of people want to become you.

People who live in third world countries will do anything in order to work, if you think he should get paid extra for 1.5 hours per day he spent, here it's really normal and it's more than 1.5 hours. It could be 2 hours, 3 hours etc and the company will said it's a proof if you're loyal with the company.

If you don't agree with that they can fired you or do something to make you not happy. The company has nothing to lose because there are many unemployment out there that can replace their current employees.

Many employees even willing to have a sex with the employer in order to get promoted.

legalize it with a high minimum price. Or use KYC so that 1 person only has 1 account. However, this forum is an reedom forum by limiting it, we destroy freedom in this forum, the current system is good and nothing needs to be changed.
This forum isn't controlling the price, either high or not, it's not change a fact someone who bought an account is using cheat to have a high rank account. Having KYC rule in this forum surely will make people to leave this forum.

Remember Bitcointalk is a place to discuss about Bitcoin, not purely as a place to work or making money.

If theymos not agree with merit selling, I don't think he will agree to legalize it.

If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

This match promises to be an exciting one between the top and the second team in Group A. If Galatasaray can defeat Bayern, and Manchester United loses to Copenhagen, this group's situation will become extremely interesting. It will become a three-horse race, and Bayern could be at risk of elimination if they're not careful against Galatasaray and Copenhagen. As for Manchester United, I believe they won't have much of a chance.
Even Bayern Munich lose against Galatasaray, I believe they can still at least finish at 2rd position since there's no way they will not qualify for quarter final. While Manchester United has a high chance to stay in bottom and not get anything.

Casemiro is suspended in the next match and there are few good defenders are still injured, Copenhagen should able to win.

Jesse Lingard had shown a lot of promise in his career. But he was never able to live up to the expectation. At least that's what I think. And I also believe that it is not going to be bad for him to perceive a career in the Arab league. At least he will be valuable to his club and everyone is not going to shit on him. And let's remember that he is 30 years old. So he is not also too old to be honest. Especially not too old to play in the Arab league. So I think he's going to have a good performance going there.
He can't even able to perform in Nottingham Forrest which is one of weak team in Premier League, I don't think he can perform in Arab League except he joined in a team where there are few Europa League. So he can support his teammates or score a goal by "touching" the ball, which make he looks can perform in Arab League.

If he join in a weak team, he's not going to bring anything. His place is either in League Two or National League lol.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 20, 2023, 12:41:34 PM
You must get a good job that pay well first, if you can't get it, even you've cut every unnecessary expense, it's not really worth. Stress is normal in work, so you must entertain yourself, this could be playing game, painting, shopping etc, which needs money. Don't only work and not appreciate/love yourself, you might become depressed etc.

Without having an income, it will certainly be difficult to manage the expenses we need and it is very different from those who have a fixed income. Setting aside the income we have to be able to save is very important for us to be able to do because if we don't have savings it will certainly be very difficult because we work as a freelancer.
It doesn't make sense in the first place, how you can able to have money when you're not having an income/work? You must work to get income, a poor people who begging is also "working".
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a Threat and BTC leads on: October 20, 2023, 12:35:28 PM
Using Bitcoin isn't make you to stay private, if you're using Bitcoin to pay everything, the government notice it and they will try to regulate Bitcoin. So if you think Bitcoin can ruin fiat and banks, I don't think it's possible since the government will take any action when they don't get a lot money.

We as an individuals might able to use Bitcoin to pay everything (as long as the seller accept it) but it a minority, not vast majority.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 20, 2023, 09:26:09 AM
The Big Match between Chelsea vs Arsenal will confirm the revival of the Blues or extend the Gunners record of being unbeaten. However, Chelsea will gain a slight advantage from acting as hosts, although this will not have a big impact on Arsenal mentality, which is currently high in self-confidence.
Chelsea vs Aston Villa in Stamford Bridge, Chelsea lose.
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forrest in Stamford Bridge, Chelsea lose.

This mean there's no advantage for Chelsea to play in their home, the odds for Arsenal to win is high for @2.25, I don't see any reason to not bet Arsenal in this match when it's already clear Arsenal has 75% winning chance.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2023, 09:22:16 AM
But maybe they will see the performance of Jackson or other strikers until January next year and if the players just like Jackson, Sterling or Mudryk showing better performance then Chelsea probably won't buy new players on striker position but if these players performance still far from expectations and disappointing then most likely Chelsea is really required new striker to solved this problem
I think Jackson is fine, he might not be a super star, but he can still perform unlike Sterling which the performance is unstable. The other winger e.g. Mudryk is playing like trash, so this mean Chelsea need two wingers. This will make Chelsea become better on the attacking line.
635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market dominance on: October 19, 2023, 07:26:49 AM
Since all of you mentioned ICOs, I reckon anyone could start an ICO and just get away with the money. So, could history repeat in the future and have the same impact on the dominance? Does it scare you? Perhaps it makes no difference at all.
Not anymore, majority of people already learn from past mistakes, at that time the number of altcoins which scam is still low.

ICOs was big because of big project in bounties, but after 2017 which is 5 years, a legit bounty is really really low than the failed and scam project. How can we expect "repeat" when most people aware if bountiy is full of scammers?
636  Other / Meta / Re: Local China Subforums - Admin Probably Will Be Arrested And Transfered To China on: October 19, 2023, 04:14:53 AM
But is it possible? I don't know if theymos or any other admin's real information is exposed anywhere inside or outside the forum. Back in the day, Bitcoin and Silkroad, everything was very new. Maybe nobody thought exposing their identity could be that serious! Who would have thought Ross would get a sentence that is unimaginable? But nowadays, everyone is pretty concerned about their identity and privacy. I'm sure administrators have hidden their real and virtual identities very well. How can China or the USA arrest you if they don't know who theymos is? It doesn't make sense. Or maybe I am wrong. I don't know how admins and moderators maintain their identities. But I know one thing they are not fool enough to exposing their own identity. They knows very well the risk involved.
There's no proof, but I'm sure every people ever leave their identity somewhere, stay anonymous when you was born is almost impossible. They might not share their identity to unknown sites or people, but they may share to someone they trust. IIRC the administrator did help the court to catch Ross, but this is nothing surprised because this forum is adopting US laws.

Bitcointalk.org is in US jurisdiction, and is subject to US subpoenas, wiretap orders, preservation orders (which would negate the above retention rules), and similar. Furthermore, our service providers could also be subject to similar orders without our knowledge. Note that we consider PMs to require a warrant in order to be released.
637  Other / Meta / Re: Local China Subforums - Admin Probably Will Be Arrested And Transfered To China on: October 18, 2023, 02:00:10 PM
That's really a weak reason if you think the admin will be arrested due to having China subforum.

Back in the old days, there was an anonymous marketplace: Silk Road where you can freely to sell any illegal stuffs e.g. drug, weapon, human etc. Silk Road's founder aka Ross Ulbricht was been arrested because the police can find his real identity through this forum. That was really serious, but the Admin wasn't arrested.
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is blockchain important? on: October 18, 2023, 01:52:56 PM
Blockchain is just a database and it's too general; it can be centralized where only few people control the nodes, it can be decentralized where every person can take a part of the network to become a node, it can be private where only few people able to access it, it can be public where everyone can access it.

In Bitcoin, they use public and decentralized blockchain, that's why you can view every transaction, address etc in block explorer and anyone can access it.

If you want to trade or invest in Bitcoin, you're not necessary need to understand about the technical part.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 01:44:57 PM
Or try and become an affiliate and bring gamblers to the platform that you use and earn a commission for that. However, people often don't understand this and they try to earn money by gambling, they don't learn from the experiences of others and they try it themselves, and once they fail miserably, after losing a lot of money in trying to make a career out of gambling, then they realize that it's not possible and they can't actually make money by gambling.
It's not easy to become an affiliator when you don't have many followers in your social media or group, most of casinos not only ask to bring new gamblers, but they also require the gamblers to lose in order to earn commission.

As for an addicted gambler, they're deserve to lose everything since they don't have any brain to think if it's impossible to earn through gambling.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports bets or in-house games, which is best for the weekend. on: October 18, 2023, 01:08:41 PM
For the weekend the best is sports bets because most of sports are happen in weekend, while in-house games can be played in every day, there's no different when you play it in Wednesday or Saturday.

Weekend also a good time for relax, not for playing a game where you need to spin it or use your so called strategy which you need to "think".
