Marketplace UpdateOkay, just to post details about the % profit share to KTK holders. Please discuss and give any opinion you may have. Taking the money supply into account (approx 17M), a total of 20.4% on all profits generated will be given to KTK holders. That means, vendor sales fees, any products created/owned by the MP, advertising (banner ads) and any other ways to generate revenue. Initially the profit share is calculated based on: 10000 KTK = 0.012% (taking into account the full 17M) The minimum KTK holding is 30K and the maximum is 1M, that would give a profit share of 0.036% and 1.2% respectively. Once the MP is live, can then look at how much KTK is on exchanges and not eligible to receive any profit share. So the % will go up based on just the KTK being held in wallets. Anyone who would like to take part in the profit share will register their address, and then it can be tracked. All dividends will be paid in btc, so any revenue generated in USD/KTK/OTHER ALTS will be exchanged before being paid out. The start date for paying out dividends will be finalized after the MP is live. If anyone has suggestions/ideas how we can automate the process, please don't be shy!  I was hoping for next week (Wed), but looking at what I still need to finish moved it back a few extra days...

Titles are a huge way to attract attention to a coin.

i think we could add other coin as the pay out when the MP become steady , because of most of coin are lack of innovation and it could help them , then the KTP
MP will be the popular e-shop in crypto currency.
I have already talked with the Developer about this. Once everything is stable with MP he will be adding Firecoin. My guess is he would be adding more because the thought is adding more coins will increase the market place size. |

One plan with the MP is the profit share to KTK holders. It will have a minimum requirement to be eligible and a maximum to avoid someone having too larger amount of the % share. The min/max will be up for discussion next week when I announce the 'go live' date. So even though I have some numbers in mind, want KTK holders input before finalizing the details. What do you guys think about making a kryptkoin holders club, for people with more than 100k coin. Only thing you u need to do to enter into this club is to have more than 100k coins staking in your wallet. With that maybe we can get more big holders.

Yeah a holders club might be a good idea. Once the market place is active and people can actually use KTK as a currency, that will change the game I think. I know companies like Pock.io and a few other accept various coins so it may be something to consider also |

Good to see some new people around here, welcome to KTK! Agree with uki, there are still selling straight into the buy wall and by the looks of it someone is now pushing the price back down! So for anyone wanting to buy. For the moment until the MP is live, place orders on the buy wall instead of going straight to the sell orders. It will get you a better buy-in price. Let's get traction on buying and have some twitter campaign first. Then the marketplace. I believe getting both sorted out is already quite enough job for now.
Nice buying at night. It looks the price stabilised at 400 sat, and with little more effort we could reach for more. 1BTC to 588 and 3 BTC to 800.
Still quite little buying support, as 0.1BTC gets us back to where we were before last night.

Marketplace Update
Just to keep everyone updated, next week I'll have better idea when the MP is ready to open. So come Tues/Wed I'll post the date we go live, which is looking to be 5-7 days after that.
Also next week I'll post the details for the profit share to KTK holders, and plans for the marketplace once we've gone live. Gives us the opportunity to discuss to make sure what I have in mind is fair and if needed tweak it, so the majority are happy.

Yep, our own service and ktk supporters can help, just by promoting any products for sale. Not only will they get a commission on each sale, but just holding ktk they will also profit share on all the MP revenue generated. The commissions earned will be paid in ktk (either sent to them or can be spent on products for sale). And the revenue profit share will be paid out in btc. Not many coins offering that! can't wait for MP  once it will be release you never know where KTK price will be Good work Dev |

Open beta, so everyone can start using it straight away. And the online wallet will be shortly before that. Also wrapping up the wp plugin, but found a bug after adding the USD/KTK price conversion. So a little more work to complete that and it's done, plan is to release same time as the online wallet because it uses an api key. About 2 weeks, 3 max.
Mintpal wont add a coin with no volume as it doesnt benefit them, how far away is the market place?
I am sry, are we talking about the full release or some beta preview? I wanna setup my buys! |

I agree tweets and other promotion is required on a regular basis. And as a couple of people mentioned already we need it coincide with development releases.
So once we have the online wallet and marketplace, we have 2 services that can be promoted continuously. Anyone from the community can then help with that, plus the MP will have affiliate tracking to reward those who promotes it. So it's a win win!

I'm still not sure about it, think it probably helps when a coin has a lot of fud. And didn't a coin recently have PoD and still went bad? Once the marketplace is live, lets see what effect it has on KTK. When the MP is here, it backs up what I post. And if I was looking from an investor standpoint, it would give me confidence and PoD would make little difference. But as I originally said, I'm not ruling it out completely so lets wait until we have the MP. After that if you guys feel it would be a positive, I'll go with the coinssource option. Dev, are your thoughts any different on POD ?
He has stated earlier he is not in favour of giving so much personal info out when it could be leaked to anyone. I have PoD for both of my coins and guess how well they are doing. I dont think people really care about PoD they just use it as a war cry when things go wrong and say, "the dev should have had PoD." fully agree. as soon as there is something new people start asking why coin x does not have it. For a successful coin you don't need to have all latest features, a smart and devoted community would do. Yep. But right now with trader coin I am proving people do not care about coins. They want you to promise the world right now which means it will be most likely a lie. They want the chance for a quick buck even though most people lose on those coins they still want a chance. Maybe someday people will realize that you will not get rich over night. BTC didnt get to where it was in a few weeks like people expect all new alt coins to do. |

I've not seen any staking problems on my end. And the current wallet update had no code changes related to staking. Do you have many small blocks for each address? But agree with the hanging, while it's syncing it won't respond. I've not had a chance yet to test, although think it's related to the hardcoded nodes. The irc wasnt very busy last time I checked but its worth a shot for sure.
yep, irc is dead quiet for quite a long now. It may be the way to go. Few further observations regarding the newest version of the wallet: - loading of the wallet has improved a lot - now it loads much quicker than the older version. - once loaded, it runs much slower than the older version and often hangs (not responding), especially if run in parallel with other wallets. I have set of five, six wallets that I run in parallel (for more than two months now) and now KTK wallet is clearly the worst one of all. And it was second best before the update. - staking works much worse than before, at least for me (many big chunks having more than 10k confirmations). I am regrouping my chunks of coins about every two weeks, but now with this new wallet I get much less coins than before and less regularly although I have top 20 holdings, so there is no problem with having too few coins, neither with their age. |

Marketplace Update Very sorry for the delays everyone on the marketplace (MP) video, run into a problem with the payment and activating the product download (hosted at Amazon S3). It's still not fixed, so for now it' just a short preview. Once I've fixed the bug, I'll redo the video and complete a live sale. Since the original screenshot post it's slightly changed, it no longer has a dedicated checkout page. Payment is now done directly on the product page, when the KTK api is ready and it's added as a payment option, either the buy button or the popup modal will give the buyer various options to select the currency to buy with. For this current preview it only has the 1 option (btc) as that code has been completed, even though it's not fully working right now! I don't have a solid date to complete the final KTK api code yet, but if it's ready the time I fix the bug and redo the video I'll complete a payment in KTK as it's quicker for confirmations. The KTK api code is also the last big part that needs integrating into the MP, and shortly after that we can go live with both the MP and online wallet! Video preview...
