I predict a low-scoring first half, so I'm going for a BTS in the second half or the second-highest scoring half on this one. Two of the league's shiest and best attacks.
I somehow think it will be a a game of which defence comes out on top and not which attack will be better, they will both be brilliant as usual. Contrary to expected performances, I will fancy a low scoring game, won and lost by less than one goal difference and under 3.5 in general.

Liverpool will have to keep the blues quiet early on for the match to get more balanced.

622  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO | SPORTSBOOK & CASINO on: November 23, 2023, 06:03:54 PM
Do you guys want crash contest to be back or something similar on all the slots?
I prefer crash game contest. It gives me an adrenaline rush as no other casino game does and I do not easily get bored of it, could just casually play in my free time. Slots are also cool, but if I am to choose one, I will go with crash.

...
This counts as unnecessary quoting which the OP is talking about.

So yes, I have been there. It's not always about laziness, something it may be the difficulty that makes them not editing additional quotes. It term of computer, its much much easy to copy, paste, edit, delete and repeat.
I have been there too. I use mobile every now and again when I am on the road. The forum is not mobile friendly but anyone who does not want to quote excessively will only be taking out a little of their time to trim down quotes. Worth the effort to keep a thread readable.

I hate playing Man City away, we have a terrible record there. No wins in the league since 2015, maybe it can change Saturday.
Same way Liverpool have a good record against Man city when they play at Anfield, heck, Liverpool have a good record against everyone at home. I think Liverpool have only lost once to City at home since 2016.
Same way I will expect City to come out on top at the Etihad this Saturday. It will take a crazy effort from the reds to be able to come away with three points this weekend and go top of the table.

It is awesome to have league football back.

Certainly. That is why I used a conservative multiplication rate of $500 to $5,000. This is a 10x return on investment and if we take an average price of $100 in 2013 that is just bitcoin going up to $1k.

Will you say the expectation then was that bitcoin could get as high as $1k or $5k within the coming years?

626  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Who's next in line? on: November 22, 2023, 09:07:45 PM
I literally don't know which exchange to trust for my first investment.
None. With Bitcoin you do not trust, you verify.
You do things yourself without having to rely on the legitimacy of a third party like banks.

And I'm not very confident in my skills to manage my own wallet (Ledger nano x) as a beginner.
Will you be more confident managing your own software wallet like electrum for a start? It is just a basic app and does not have any complex controls, the only difference between it and an exchange wallet is you actually own the wallet and have the seedphrase which you have to back up.

I think exactly the same is a really bad show mounted by the FFP, and Everton is punished and used to show some justice, they are not gonna do anything against City, Chelsea or any other team just because taht can hurt so much his own pocket (by losing one of the atractive teams and contenders= less people sitting watching the games) or the pocket of someone very powerfull.
Points deduction from the top teams will not reduce those who watch games nor will it affect the competitiveness of the league. If the FA chooses to not act if City are found guilty of the charges of if they muddy the case so much that there is no definite outcome they will be doing to benefit their pockets and not the standard of football in the league.

I do not really care much and will not even want another team to win the league only by ducking points of City, it will put a huge dent on the achievements of the would be champions.

Logically, nowadays, few would "remember" to donate 10BTC.
We have to think about the monetary value that was being donated at the time. $10, $25, $50, $500 or $1000? Probably that, so it was logical donations for height. Today the same type of values could also be logical, but it would no longer reach 10BTC.
I would not "remember" to donate today, but the donators of the past did not just give the fiat value of their donations but they also gave the potential value. Holders at that very early stage certainly had an understanding of Bitcoin and expected that the price of one unit of it was going to be worth a lot, so they held it and supported its forum.
They know there was a chance that $500 or $1,000 will get to $5k or $10k but still donated it either way.

629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 22, 2023, 08:37:09 PM
The major surprise for me in this group stages has been Benfica. They sit bottom of the group after losing all their four games and are already out of contention for a round-of-16 slot and will need a huge turn around to make it to the Europa league.

This is a stark difference from their last season campaign where they topped the group with PSG coming second and went on to reach the quarter finals, only to be knocked out by eventual finalist in Inter Milan. Somehow their league performance have not dipped at all and they sit tup of the liga Portugal.

630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 22, 2023, 08:19:04 PM
I do not believe in psychic predictions when it comes to gambling. I take more of a realistic approach to things and assume situations like those mentioned are mere coincidence. For every 1 case that goes viral for being accurate, there are a thousand cases that did not work out and did not make headlines.

Paul the octopus was not the first animal that was linked to predictions and certainly not the last, but was the most successful, which brought a lot of attention to it.

631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Client Seed on: November 20, 2023, 07:56:44 PM
Client seed
CHANGING IT as frequently as possible, does this in any way increase a gambler's chances of winning?
I will say NO. Changing the client see should only act as a reassurance that the games are totally random and provably fair, but should not effect the outcomes of the games played. If it does affect the outcome that game that casino should be avoided.

Is this to say that, changing client seed as often as possible, (most especially when a gambler keeps losing for too long) has the potential of turning what seemed to be a long losing streak, into winning? Or is it all still based on the gambler's luck..?
I think it is all down to the gambler's perception; they expect an act to work in their favor and amplify the times that it does work that way, ignoring the time it does not, to justify their perception.

If we can't have them, please update OP.
This will help to remove any confusion, cause this thread is pinned and will be read by tons of newbies looking for direction on the forum.
The author of the post is not active anymore, so maybe the admin can add an authors note to include that newbies can no longer wear signatures or also sticky the updated rules so they are easy to find.

633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Are you in profit? on: November 19, 2023, 07:20:54 AM
I am the first YES to vote in the poll. I do not gamble excessively and only risk as little cash as possible which makes it easy for me to break even and get some profits. It does not really matter if I win or lose, I just enjoy placing predictions on sports I love watching.
Note that I calculated this off the top of my head, taking accounts my stakes on the different platforms I use, so it is not an actual answer after calculations.

I will advise not to use a color format to answer as it will make the thread look like a color-book and can be a distraction to readers.

634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 19, 2023, 07:01:59 AM
Greece still able goes to the next stage through playoffs, and they have 1 spot on that because of their nations league ranking.

Not only Greece, some teams still have a chance to goes through via playoffs even if they dont finish top 2 of the group.
That is correct. I think Cyprus and Norway are the first teams to be disqualified as they cannot possibly make it to Euro 2024 even through play-offs. It is disappointing that Martin Ødegaard will be missing out along with Erling Halland. Would have been an amazing stage for both young talents to shine.
There will however be no shortage of talents at next years tournaments.

635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really too Expensive? Then Buy Satoshis on: November 18, 2023, 07:11:23 PM
...for in the near future, 1 satoshi may worth up to $0.2 cents or even more,
Doing the math, this is an increase of over 500%.

This will mean 1 Bitcoin will need to go as high as 19 million USD for 1 satoshi to be worth $0.2. This is not happening in the near future or even in the distant future.
Let us not set unrealistic price targets to make investing more attractive. it is a good hedge against inflation and will give ROI, but will not multiply in value as much as it did ten years ago.

636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Letting the cat out of the bag on: November 18, 2023, 08:42:15 AM
All the talk about gambling and addiction takes the situation out of proportion. I know a lot of gamblers, all of which gamble very responsibly, staking only what they can afford to lose.

Anyone who has gotten addicted to a point they cannot control their gambling urges should certainly seek help from those around them.

It's just matter of time until saudi pro league will be ever bigger from time to the time. Public is now getting chaose caused by the rumor if UEFA will be giving permission for al nassr to participate in the UEFA champion league.
Or a matter of time till the project goes bust. Several wealthy countries from Asia has tried this football experiment all with varying degrees of success, but I will think none have gotten to the level they were aiming at when they set their plan in motion and they fail to keep up with the huge wages demands this stars bring to the league.

The league has had successes in the last couple of months and their revenue has grown significantly. It is yet to be seen if they can keep up with the huge financial burden of funding the league and "buying" sponsorship.

638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about Bitcoin satellite? on: November 18, 2023, 08:04:07 AM
This question is invalid, unsound and provoking to snr colleagues mate!
No question is invalid and forum members are welcome to ask questions anywhere they get stuck, does not matter if the question is answerable with a google search or not. That is how a forum functions, as a community where its members ask question and get replies to them.

Anyways, yes Bitcoin has a satellite it is called Blockstream satellite.
This is not a native project of the bitcoin network.

639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 17, 2023, 07:35:40 PM
The series of injuries players pick up during the international break is something that needs to be looked into at some point. It disrupts the club's season and the players' club needs to take care of the medical expense adding to the cost of running the team.

Injuries are random and can happen at anytime, even during training, but should not happen so commonly within the space of 1-2 weeks with rigid regularity. There should maybe be more synergy between the medical staffs of national and club teams.

The rights to anonymity varies from location and platforms. You should do your research on how it is done where you are and also check the terms and conditions of the website you are gambling on.

Gambling platforms need those big wins to encourage others to continue gambling in the hopes that they will equally have a huge cashout eventually.
