Napoli its not having his best time, so i dont know how much they can do against the most Champions League team of the history.

You’re probably right about Napoli. They’re not having the performance they would have hoped. But I did think they played rather well in their game against Braga despite the fact that their second goal which gave them the win was an own goal. They had some good chances but failed to produce goals.
Going up against Real Madrid would not be so easy. They narrowly came out as the victor in the game with Braga and the game with Madrid will most likely be more difficult. The game would certainly be interesting to watch. I think both sides could each score a goal.

What will be interesting in this match is that we will see Manchester United. Will they return to playing funny with a much weaker opponent? or they can rise by taking advantage of the status of the opponent they will face this time. Of course, this makes us curious, because there are things to look forward to about their coach, Erik Ten Hag. I am sure he has prepared for this match very well. But for the result, I can't be sure what kind of result they will get.
The match is on, let's see.

They haven’t been impressive in my opinion and I think the defense has been so far really poor. They had a goal earlier scored by a header but was checked and cancelled with support from the VAR. I had thought that goal had no infractions but apparently the referee knows better.
That goal would have given United some much needed motivation to aim for more goals. Burnley shouldn’t be underestimated as despite being the weaker side of the two, they have been so far, been able to put in some pressure and hold Man United to a draw. I wouldn’t be so surprised if they score a goal anytime soon.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: September 22, 2023, 12:55:40 PM
The most common way of seeking out capital for a business is heading over to your local bank with your business proposal. Banks are always interested in opportunities to make more money for themselves and giving out loans has always been a good avenue for that. Banks are also quick in recognizing applicants with little to no prospect of paying back loans.

In my opinion, low risks would naturally lead to low profits if any as high risks would lead to high profits if any. A low risk investment just cannot bring that promising profits we all seem to want.

It’s much better to start a business doing what we love and enjoy. But it’s just not realistic for everyone to create and start up a business out of what we enjoy doing. So a good idea in my opinion, is to create or bring closer a product or/ service needed but lacking in your environment. Having a startup also isn’t an easy feat as there is always work to be done. With very limited manpower, the bulk of things to be done would fall on you.

624  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce the price of goods on: September 21, 2023, 11:30:59 PM
While monopoly of the market system is a good way to get the prices up and quality down, healthy competition between organizations have helped deal with that. With competition, the quality of the product is put into consideration so as to please the consumers.
I then the removal of the monopoly some organizations enjoy would have more impact on the quality of product rather than the price.

I think there are other important factors to consider if the prices of goods are to be reduced. An economy that cannot provide for the needs of the people with locally sourced resources would continue to witness the rise in the prices of goods.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Residence becomes first hotel to accept Bitcoin in Nigeria on: September 21, 2023, 07:01:05 PM
Nigerians already have adopted the use of bitcoin, it's legal to use bitcoin but the government aren't ready to allow the banks to use it or leaders accept it adoption as a legal tender, but they are quite aware a number of citizens are using it, this was part of the reasons why they introduced enaira, which turns a failure because it wasn't cryptocurrency, but just a digital fiat version, more than half of the Nigerian youths have heard about bitcoin and are interested in learning how to make use of this digital currency.

It’s a great move that could further strengthen the slow but steady adoption of bitcoin all over but I don’t know about bitcoin being legal in Nigeria just yet. Saw this memo that was posted in another thread stating how bitcoin is still very much prohibited by the government. Unless there’s a recent memo that contradicts this, bitcoin usage doesn’t seem to be totally legal.
The government is clearly not ready to allow and actively discourages financial institutions from facilitating the use of bitcoin and like you noted, are likely aware of loads of people who still use bitcoin.

626  Economy / Economics / Re: for anyone interested in how much their personal data is worth on: September 21, 2023, 05:35:32 PM

Have you ever wondered why and how we get SMS promotional messages from time to time on our personal phone numbers when we don't give our numbers to anyone? It's because the GSM companies that we get our numbers from sell these data to companies that advertise their products and services through it.

I doubt service providers give out clients phone numbers just for the sake of it. Perhaps they could do so when court ordered or a request from law enforcement.
As to how we get spammy texts, there are a lot of ways which our phone numbers could be compromised. Most times, we’re the one unknowingly or knowingly spreading our numbers all over for whoever interested to pick up. With the number of social media app and dating sites out there that’s being registered on, that also requires phone numbers for registration, it shouldn’t be surprising when we receive spammy texts.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 21, 2023, 04:34:47 PM
With the recent performance at the UCL game I am very optimistic that Manchester united have a chance of becoming a good team again as they were usually know for in the past. Erik ten hag seem to be responding positively to the recent pressure mounted on him from all over to improve on the performance of the team generally.

I don’t want to get my hopes up just yet. They didn’t play so bad irrespective of the fact that they still lost the game in the end but one game that they ended up still losing despite how good they played isn’t enough to get my hopes up on seeing a better performance in the EPL.
But I must admit, I didn’t think Man United, with their current form could have any chance of winning the game but during the second half, I began to be hopeful Man United could actually hold them to a draw.
And yes, I think Ten Hag is definitely under some heat from fans for some much needed improvement in performance.

If this doesn’t drive away more people from using the app than it already has, I don’t know what will. I thought making people pay for a verification checkmark was bad enough, the thought of making everyone pay in order to use the app is almost crazy.
Paying for verification checkmarks was implemented to fight bots and with a check mark, you’ve been verified to be a real person. That didn’t help stop bots. This move of making everyone pay to use the app wouldn’t still help eliminate bots.

It seems most services are now starting to be subscription based. Not surprising as profit maximization is probably at the top of the list of priorities and goals for any business organization.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 20, 2023, 11:59:10 PM

As for Onana, I believe he is a solid keeper but he is under a lot of pressure right now to deliver and the more mistakes he makes, the more pressure he gets and the more he fumbles. It's like a downward spiral for him right now and except Ten hag does something to fix his defensive team including Onana, they'll continue to suffer from defensive mistakes and errors.

He’s a great goalie and you’re right. He was brought in to the squad with a lot of expectations from fans and management hence why he’s probably under a lot of pressure right now. Man United’s defense too isn’t making things better for him also as they share some blame in all this.
With more pressure mounting on him to protect the goal at all costs, more mistakes are bound to happen and the sooner Ten Hag fixes these problems, they’ll have to deal with loosing more games.
Onana has owned up to his mistakes in this match and hopefully, he does learn from it.

It is impossible for Manchester United to win Bayern at home which I said before the match started and it has never happened for long. Bayern proved themselves today that they still remain unbeaten at home by their brilliant performance in today's game, by winning United with one goal ahead.

I don’t think it’s totally impossible for United to win Bayern at home but I also didn’t think Manchester United, with their present form stood a chance against Bayern Munich who btw, is in perfect form as was just proved in the just concluded game.

Man United’s performance was a bit surprising to me as I had envisaged United suffering a humiliating defeat but they put up a brave front and played surprisingly not that bad. Exciting second half of the game as both teams stepped up their game leading to more goals.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 18, 2023, 11:28:32 PM
Manchester City is a team that tends to put pressure on Arsenal rather than the other way around. I don't think Arsenal can take first place from Manchester City if in the next match they fail to win the match against Tottenham. Of course Arsenal and their fans are very confident in the possibility, but in fact Arsenal failed to have a good mentality in the title race last season.

The matches against Tottenham, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle in the coming weeks will be a benchmark for whether Arsenal deserves to lead the standings, but I really doubt that Arsenal can take it from Manchester City easily.

Manchester City is a team that puts great pressure on any club they go up against. They’re that good.
Arsenal and their supporters are very confident in the possibility of winning the EPL this season but confidence alone cannot achieve that feat. Manchester City is a strong team that has so far, haven’t lost any of their matches played. They’re wining games, gathering points and going on strong in preparation for another title win. I am almost certain that they would claim the title win again. They certainly look good for it too.

Arsenal does look good for the title and would have to work hard to displace City and maintain the lead.

632  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: September 18, 2023, 10:48:46 PM
I am keeping everything simple and will continue to follow the same mantra even if I become multi millionaire. You enjoy the life the way it comes to you. If you try too hard you will make mistake and if you do not try at all then it will hit hard back to you. Better keep managing the life events as they come to you. You got extra money today? Save some, invest some, and spend some for your loved ones. If you did not get any extra money still save some, invest some and spend “later” on your loved ones. They ain’t going anywhere, they also live the same life. The save and invest is the key in all of this.

The simpler the better right? I hope you really do continue to follow the same ideology when you become a multi millionaire. It is said that money reveals someone’s true nature.
I agree with you on the need to have a positive outlook on life. Mistakes are bound to happen only when you make an effort and the lessons learnt from the mistakes makes us stronger. If you don’t try at all, there’s no chance of ever making a better life for ourselves.

Savings and investments are important as well as spending either time or/and money on your friends and loved ones as life can be very unpredictable.

That was a really beautiful strike by Hudson Odoi for Nottingham Forest that was aimed at the top corner and hitting the woodwork, found the back of the net giving them the much needed goal to equalize the scoreline and on his debut game for the club also.
The game has been interesting as both sides are have been really energetic on the field each striving to score another goal.

It’s quite unfortunate for Burnley as they had their goal disallowed due to a handball after a VAR check. About 7 minutes till the stoppage time and each side is looking for that goal that would put them ahead and probably help win the game.
634  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: September 18, 2023, 08:07:12 PM

Some customers even expect for an improve of our quality. They may feel bored if there is no improvement at all, they may judge we have no innovation. But this type of customers mostly come from the upper-middle class people. But if the most customers come from the low class people, they only focus on price. As long as it is cheap enough, they will never complain.

Every business should strive toward improving the quality of their product or/and services to suit the ever changing needs of all consumers. The lower income earners, while being restricted by the amount of money in the bank to afford top recognized brands would most definitely appreciate new innovations and better services.
Irrespective of how much is being spent, low and high income consumers have one thing in common. They’re paying customers. If a business could care less about the quality of service provided to their low income customers , they’d be surprised to learn they too have options on where to spend their money.

Alot of football fans are already writing Manchester united off because of the multiple in number of their players that are currently on injury and haven't played for a while now,  resulting I to the declining results that Manchester United have recorded in recent time in the premier league,  the club have put a lot of efforts in place but then situations have warrant the club to have failed out in their recent performance.

So at that we have to give the club enough time to come up with a formidable team that can stand against any oppositions that may come up along the line.

Some fans and supporters of Man United, in their righteous demand for a better performance from the club could have their belief and support in the club shaken perhaps a bit hastily when the club doesn’t perform as brilliantly as expected. Although, I think it’s a bit early to begin to write off Man United, I can understand the frustration felt by supporters who have begun to do so.

It’s obvious Man United’s performance has not been top notch and having lost the majority of the total games played so far, it’s not a bit comforting.
When there’s little to nothing to go by, I guess there’s always hope for a much better performance.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 18, 2023, 04:03:29 PM
It's weird people keep comparing both of leagues. It's clearly stated by saudi pro league authority if the main aim to push saudi pro league into the next level to make fifa can trust saudi to host 2030 world cup. I think that this trend will be also going forever as there would be so many western investors were also coming to the saudi pro league as well. This league has become even more popular in my country as anyone was also talking about this league. The aggressive trend by saudi pro league needs to be continued even after saudi will be hosting 2030 world cup.
I hope that if FIFA can try to trust saudi pro league. Saudi is good enough in handling 2030 world cup for sure. The club needs to host it caused by saudi is willing to get massive awareness from all the football fans around the world.
Saudi has oil money that also supply it even longer than that time.

There is actually no need for any comparison between the Saudi league and other leagues but you would admit that, they’ve got the spotlight by how they’re determined and constantly going at it in a bid to increase the quality of the game. With it’s growing popularity, a little comparison here and there in my opinion is inevitable as football fans can’t just ignore the growth in the Saudi league.

There’s more to hosting the World Cup than just your financial ability to do so. I guess with these movies, the Saudis are trying to show and perhaps reassure football fans all over how they’re all in and fully committed to the game of football.
Whatever their reasons, they’ve got a league that’s constantly attracting new viewers.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 11:30:12 PM

Chelsea's vision of climbing to the top position looks unachievable with their current performance. By next month, they will start playing tough games. How will they be able to conquer their poor finishing before then? Playing good football and having the ball possession without scoring and winning matches is not what their fans want. Their fans want them to win matches so that they can have the 3 points at the end of each match

Their game with Bournemouth wasn’t productive as many would have hoped as they couldn’t come out with a win again. Despite being in control of the game as they had more of the ball in their possession as well as having more attempts on goal, they couldn’t find the back of the net.
How then would they fare when they go up against tougher opponents later on? I thought clubs like Chelsea and especially Manchester United would be more of a threat than they were last season but it seems they’re towing the same path as last season.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 10:59:31 PM
Anybody who claims that the Saudi Professional League is not gradually growing to compete with top clubs in Europe is not telling the truth. If the league keeps buying well-known players,  in few a years the league will attract more fans and sponsorship and endorsement deals. I recently watched some of the highlights of some current games and it is clear that the club has made tremendous improvements in the game of football.

It’s obvious that the Saudi league is growing and getting bigger and better. They’ve been doing a whole lot to bring up their league and getting more publicity and attention. They’re likely to create a competitive league in the near future if they keep at getting more players from all over to compete and play in their league.
They’ve gotten new fans now watching them play and the publicity is likely to get even better as they continue to make new and better improvements. It would probably be a long time before  they could equal the EPL but they’ll likely get there some day.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 10:35:59 PM
It wasn't an easy win for Arsenal despite being in control especially in the second half. But getting three points was the important point of course. Trossard hasn't been scoring a goal in Premier League games for a very long time. But today he scored the winning goal and finally finished this bad streak for himself.

Things are going well for Arsenal in the league. But they might need to improve their performance a little more in the long term. This is important for especially big games. Their next game is against Tottenham in Emirates so I really wonder how this game will end.

It definitely wasn’t an easy game for Arsenal as Everton seemed determined to hold them to a draw or try to get a win themselves. Unfortunately, Arsenal persisted and got a goal in the second half of the game that ultimately gave them the win at the end of the game.
Everton did put up a good fight as their defense tried in thwarting Arsenals constant attacks that I had actually thought for a second that the game might end up being a goalless draw. That thought quickly left as Arsenal scored. I had thought more goals would follow but Arsenal couldn’t follow up with another one till the game ended.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 16, 2023, 04:07:18 PM

I don't see Manchester United wining this match, they've been struggling to maintain a counter attack against Brighton but it hasn't been working.
Brighton have really conquered the midfield against UNITED and they are seriously given Manchester United headache at their defence.
Radford is not making use of the chances upfront.

Yeah. It’s was clear to me when the second goal was scored that Brighton would win this game. They had played beautifully well. A lot better than United and they deserve this win. I had thought the second half would be better off for Manchester United but it wasn’t so. On the contrary, Brighton stepped up the pressure and in the end,  humiliated United in their home ground.
Manchester United had some good chances but wasn’t composed enough to actually find the target most of the time unlike Brighton who was really composed with their passes and their attempts.
I really did hope United would win this game.
