My favorite of them all is the Royse777 April fool prank it really got everyone and that day was really fun as everyone was trying to pull off a prank.

2023 was a year full of fun and activities, good and bad moment not to be forgotten, i think we should give glory to God for sparing our lives to witness all these moments and pray we be among those to witness the beginning and end of 2024. Some started the year with us but sadly they are not with us anymore (peace be upon them).

Good effort @SatoPrincess flashing our memories back through the moments of 2023 is really worth it. More fun, more drama and more knowledge. Happy new year 2k24

622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What many of us newbies are getting wrong about merit on: December 31, 2023, 08:51:30 PM
Of all the ideas in the world why do newbie always come to the forum and create posts about merit? This could only mean it is the only thing on their mind.

They need to understand growing is natural and it can only follow through after gaining enough knowledge and not by teaching their fellow newbies how to earn merit or how to create quality posts. If you understand the concept of quality post then you should have created a post already full of merits.

👉 Firstly I'll say STOP BEING SO MERIT CONCIOUS
This post proves you already breaking your own rule above by being merit conscious.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will do to bank what Email did to post office on: December 31, 2023, 01:03:29 PM
Technology has been one of the factors that has made things very easy for everyone, gone are days when people were finding it very difficult of sending letters from one person to another do to the lack of internet, so however for a message to be send across it must go through postal office and before it gets to the recipient it takes up to days. But however the arrival of internet changed everything and made it very easy everyone to convey messages from a person to another through emails.

People's lives have been more simpler as a result of technology taking over, yet everything you see has pros and cons, although we wouldn't say that these are the reasons we wouldn't allow technology rule the world. Scam, spam, and phishing attempt incidents were rare in the days of letter delivery, but since the advent of electronic mail, these cases have risen significantly, increasing the risk of scamming people. It appears to be quite helpful, but it also presents a significant risk to the user.

So Boiling it down to Bitcoin and banks, actually the existence of Bitcoin has greatly improved the mindset of people especially on investment diversification such as profits making because is obvious that any money we put or save on the bank will not yield any profit so instead of people saving much money on the bank when there is a great opportunity offered by Bitcoin to channel all our money with the possibility of making or multiplying our capital in the future. So perhaps do you guys think the reason why most countries are having some restrictions on Bitcoin is because of the effects it has on the bank that people prefer to invest there funds on Bitcoin instead of banks?.

First off, let me clarify that the original goal of bitcoin was to function as an alternative to the financial system and address the issues with it, rather than to completely replace it. Since banks offer certain services that bitcoin cannot, and because bitcoin is a great option for privacy, freedom, and decentralisation, having both options available would be more advantageous, it would not be easy to replace banks with Bitcoin. In reality, banks are also beneficial in their own right, but they also have the problem of trying to control and monitor how people spend their money which is a bad idea.

The issue I have with banks and the government is that they continue to oppose Bitcoin even though they know it will eventually triumph. They are doing everything in their power to stop it, but I have no doubt that they will fail and Bitcoin will eventually take over.

Have you actually made a transaction on chain lately with Bitcoin? Do tell us the experience of  grabbing my popcorn and waiting for it!

Grin It really not been smooth this past month with the conjestion and high fees,

Just imagine bitcoin taking over and people experiencing delays and spending high fees to carry out transactions. Banks have their own advantages too you just can’t rule them out

624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 31, 2023, 11:35:45 AM
I don't remember a team that had a season as surprising as Borussia Dortmund. Maybe Stuttgart may be providing this in a positive sense because they are better than expected, but in a negative sense I think one of the biggest surprises belongs to them. Borussia Dortmund are now far away from their goal of winning the league title. For the top four, they will have to beat Leipzig. If they play worse in a few games, I'm almost sure we won't see them in the UCL next year.

They have failed to win any of their last 6 matches in all competitions which is very bad for a team that almost won the league last season although they have not lost many matches but they draw too much and it is the reason they don’t find themselves in the top 4. Dortmund are better than this and they need query themselves and do better because we all thought after a wonderful display and challenge for the title last season we would see a more determined team that will try and win the league again. They are far from winning the league but they can try and secure a spot in the top 4 to qualify for the next season champions league.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 31, 2023, 10:16:01 AM
Recently, Arsenal have sometimes been unable to maintain consistency and perhaps Porto can take advantage of this to make it possible for them to beat Arsenal because if you look at the strength of these two teams, of course Arenal is much stronger than Porto.
We cannot just look at the performance or results of the two teams in their domestic league because these two teams have significant differences in competition in their domestic league.
Arsenal have really shown some signs of inconsistency lately but I don’t think they would take that to the Champions league and considering the fact that they are stronger than porto gives them more confidence to go with the intention of qualifying to the next round. Arsenal wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity of challenging for this trophy after so many years of missing out on the competition.

To compare them both in their respective domestic leagues wouldn’t justify anything, the premier league is far more competitive than the Liga portugal and Arsenal will be top of the table if they win today but will drop back to second place if Liverpool wins their match tomorrow. Porto are not playing bad either but they are 3rd place in their domestic league with few points behind league leaders. Arsenal seem more likely to win though but it will depend on their performance overall in both legs.

I think the players Arsenal have are quite capable in all their lines and they just need to maintain consistency.
I see that Arsenal players in all lines have quite capable strengths, and if we talk about the performance of Aarsnal's forwards, actually they are good, it's just that they can't maintain their best performance in every match.
Arsenal are good and playing well they just needs more blending because of some new players that joined but in no time they will be fully ready. I like their playing style and mentality, they always want to win matches no matter what and thats what a team needs. I believe in them to challenge and go far in the competition.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 30, 2023, 05:08:17 PM
Chelsea got another win showing great resiliency as they are finishing the year in great form. The game was beautiful to watch and entertaining as both teams played carefree beautiful football and quite some goals were scored from both teams.I am  quite interesting to see how Manchester City will react to this back to back lost games as they are facing quite an easy opponent at home as Sheffield United and they have not scored as of yet.The other games are not of a great interest as middle teams are facing each other in most of those games.
Chelsea were lucky to win and didn’t show any resilience, they played woefully in the second half and almost bottled a 3 goal lead. It is a poor performance in my opinion and I wouldn’t say they end the year in great form, they need to step up their game because i think their performance is depreciating with time because few months back this is not how Chelsea played, even while losing they are more in control and are well coordinated but that’s not the case now.

The match was super interesting and both fans enjoyed it, Luton gave it their all and tried to fight their way back but in the end they couldn’t. Despite losing at home they need to be applauded for a wonderful performance despite going 3 goals down. It’s their mentality for me, “It’s not over until it’s over”.
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 30, 2023, 08:34:06 AM
Since bitcoin existed it has not come to an end, is it now it is gaining mass global adoption that would make it come to an end? Bitcoin has brought us closer to the future and technology, and many are yet to get the experience.
Bitcoin has gone far way beyond its existence coming to an end, we have seen alot of downside from it in the past and lots of people who awaits the slightest opportunity to criticize it and try to predict bitcoin existence would come to an end but how does bitcoin react to these criticism? I just love it, the way it proves doubters wrong, it always bounces back no matter how deep it falls.

This shows it has the potential of reaching even greater heights in future and people who try to paint bitcoin image bad are only missing out on the benefits bitcoin of adopting bitcoin, they need to understand that bitcoin is not just the baby coin they knew years back it has grown into a global asset which cannot die overnight.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 29, 2023, 11:40:22 PM
This is right and it mostly deepens on a person’s mood or what they are currently going through, at different moods a certain story can serve two different purposes. Sharing your success stories just as you mentioned Op is good to serve as motivation for others and it is not your fault if it triggers some people because you are not aware of their situation and yoyr intentions are clean and you never intended for them to suffer. If they have really suffered and are willing to change then they would because gambling addiction is bad and it is always advised to gamble responsibly.

Gambling addiction is being discouraged and just because a person hears stories of someone else wins doesn’t guarantee he is also going to win as well so no matter what we hear about others we should not try to think about it too much because gambling will continue draining you no matter how motivated you think you are.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 29, 2023, 10:16:53 AM
The continuity for the Manchester United squad continues and it seems that there are several parties who regret De Gea's departure. He is an experienced goalkeeper and Manchester United should not let him leave, even though his heart is still at Old Trafford. But unfortunately the new Dutch coach destroyed him and preferred Onana even at a high cost. Don't know what Manchester United's fate will be next and maybe they will be worse off this season if they continue to rely on Onana.

Onana isn't a bad keeper, but he can't show his best thus far and I don't know what the problem is for him. It's difficult to tell whether everything would have been better with De Gea, because I remember that De Gea also made mistakes from time to time, but the way he was sent away by ten Hag was bullshit. But is anyone still surprised about ten Hag's behavior? I don't think so. De Gea is one victim of many and he wasn't the last. Sancho is also have lots of trouble with him and there are several other players who are not ok with ten Hag.
What United is going through is a general problem so we shouldn’t blame it all on just a person. Onana is really not a bad keeper and if De gea was to be around the situation wouldn’t be different in my opinion, all that’s happening is the fault of the coach because it is not proper to send a player put just because they are performing badly or not performing to expectations just like he did with De gea and Ronaldo. They have given their best for the club in the past and these players deserve all the respect they can get it’s only proper for players to lose form when getting old so the coaches should back them up during such times but Ten Hag chose to disrespect them instead and it’s bad. Ten Hag is known to such behavior with players and it will always bring problems in the team, I believe these are the major issues that is causing the downfall of Manchester United.
630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: December 28, 2023, 11:40:06 AM
What you need is dedication, self motivation and most importantly knowledge.

Trading requires knowledge and patience and only the strongest minded people succeed in trading. It takes more than just waking up and deciding to become a trader. You can achieve success if you are mentally prepared and committed towards achieving your goal as i believe that is the first step towards achieving success.

631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Know, But Can i Invest In Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2023, 11:16:08 AM
I just know that investing in Bitcoin is extremely profitable. But I don't know how to do it.
Why are most newbies only interested in the profit they will make from bitcoin investment. Investing in bitcoin can be profitable but also risky so you shouldn’t be blinded by the profit of it only and rather understand it’s concept so you know what you are getting into and the risk associated with it. Understand Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme and you need to first acquire basic knowledge at least before investing any amount into it.

One of my acquaintance suggested me to invest some money in Bitcoin. I told him how many dollars to invest and he said as much as I am willing to invest. I made up my mind that I would invest $500 but i am confused. I don't know much about Bitcoin so the person gave me the link to this website and suggest me to know about the various opinions of users on various topics. Since I see that Bitcoin is always discussed , I want your suggestions about my Bitcoin investment.
You are directed to right place where you gain bitcoin knowledge for free and anything you need to know about bitcoin will de shared with you. You need to understand that in cryptocurrency you don’t just invest in any project because someone told you to do so, crypto market can be deceiving so you need to carry out research on your own and decide when to invest and what project to invest in. Of all cryptocurrencies Bitcoin is the best, safest and most reliable to invest in and it wouldn’t matter when you invest because of its high potential to rise in price but you should also expect the opposite.

$500 is not a bad start but you can accumulate more with time and I hope what you intend to invest is an amount you can afford to lose and hope you intend to hold for a long period of time. Profit isn’t certain but investing for a long period will certainly yield profits so have it in mind that your $500 investment is an amount you don’t have any plan of using any time soon.

Should I invest money with the suggestion of that guy? He told me that if I invest I will get good profit. He said, he will open my bitcoin wallet and help to buy bitcoins. Should I invest in bitcoin?
It is better you learn and understand about bitcoin yourself and understand the concept of bitcoin wallet and its security because no one can be trusted especially when money is involved. If you let him create a wallet for you and buy you bitcoin then it means he will have access to your private key and your wallet and as such he can access your wallet anytime and move your funds.

Always safeguard your private keys and it should be known to you alone and anyone you can trust with your assets.

Also don’t forget to read the rules of the forum here so you don’t break any rules and get penalized.

Here are some links that will give you better understanding about bitcoin, bitcoin wallet and its security.

Chelsea is my club but the performance, I would say they're more comparable to any random mediocre club in EPL this season. Mauricio Pochettino is not to be blame if Chelsea players misses crucial chances of scoring. They has everything to make the game 4 nil but wasteful all the chances and the little chances creates by Ayew and Olise, they nets a stunning goal to equalize the game. Chelsea have one of the very stellar performance against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge and they failed to make the supporters even more prouder ans happier. Noni Maduake and Myhailo Mudryk are on the scores board.
It is my club also and i just hate the fact that their performance is not consistent and it seems more like the performance is depreciating with time. We have so many good players but i will put the blame on the coach for not utilizing them properly and bringing out the best in them. If a team is performing well the coach will take the credit and it should be the same when they are not performing well the coach should take the blame. Which this players another coach could be in the top 4 race even if they are not challenging for the trophy yet. Compared to Liverpool and Aston Villa i believe we have more quality players than them but the coach is being able to manage them properly thats why they are performing better. Pochettino needs to do better and raise his standards if he really wants to stay long.

Yeah, Manchester City doesn't have to be a champion in this season because they're not in good form, they only need to be in the top 4, it's already an achievement for them.

Losing many players do give a lot impact, if Arsenal lose Saka and Rice, Liverpool lose Salah and TAA, both Arsenal and Liverpool will be like Manchester City.
It will be difficult for them now to become champions they are really not playing to the standard of last season though I wouldn’t say it is down to injuries because most teams have some players injured as well and it should be the coach’s responsibility to manage whatever players that he has available. Guadiola is a coach know to be able to manage his team properly no matter the situation but i think this time he has failed to do so and the sale of some players last summer also has a bit of impact on their recent performance. I believe he would make the best of this January transfer to add more squad depth to the team.
633  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [Fun Discussion] How Will You Escape if You Find Yourself In Such Situation 😁? on: December 27, 2023, 11:39:11 AM
Only the miracle of God can get a person out of this kinda situation unhurt.

These are 3 deadly animals which no one will ever want to have an encounter with. You can’t out run a lion on land and you can’t out swim a crocodile as well so I don’t think any of those is an option but coming up with a possible solution, it won’t guarantee you escaping unharmed but it is worth a try, i think what i would do is to attempt to fight the snake with my legs which obviously I would get bitten but with the intention of forcing it to fall down, if the snake falls then the snake and the lion will get into a fight which will distract them for a while and give you an opportunity to make a run a for it.

I know my plan sounds ridiculous  Grin but it could work out if God’s mercy is with you.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 27, 2023, 11:04:05 AM
There is no fun in losing at all and it’s not just in gambling but in everything man does but this perception will vary between people because there are those who are not fixated on their wins. Some see gambling as a profit making game while some see it as a game for fun but even at that when you lose there more often there will be no fun at all.

When I gamble I always assume my money is gone already even though I expect a win from my prediction and i don’t feel bad about losing because I expect a loss just as much as i expect a win so in that context i will say I gamble for fun but if i really want to have fun while spending money they are other things i will rather opt for than to gamble. Losing money in gambling is not fun but it still depends on how the person takes it.
635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will be your trading strategy for crypto in 2024? on: December 27, 2023, 09:56:36 AM
A lot of people have been asking me this question, so I thought I'd ask you guys the same. My plan is to diversify across promising projects, optimize with rebalancing, and keep a level head throughout the ride.
I'm done with the promising projects.

It's better to just stay with Bitcoin and if you want to diversify, get into real other assets like real estate, land properties, etcs. Be wise when you're going to diversify. It doesn't have to be into several altcoins.

But consider also those assets that are appreciating over the period of time. Many altcoins are good today but stability is what they lack of and they have uncertain future.
Same here, whenever i try to invest in promising projects things doesn’t go so well, i guess i am not so lucky with alts but probably because i have not witnessed a bull run before. I told myself i am done with alts for some time now and i have channeled my energy into investing in bitcoin now as these alts have no stability.

I also prefer to hold bitcoin rather than diversifying my portfolio and investing in so called promising projects that will only last for a few years or probably not last that long. We have seen how alts behave and how some of them become dead projects over time, it shows they can’t be compared to bitcoin because their future is not certain so it’s wiser to hold bitcoin.

What i dislike more about alts is the fact that it is difficult to determine legitimate projects and one without the knowledge to identify scam is always prone to invest in scam tokens especially as bull run approaches. One needs to be cautious investing in alts.

The Premier League is considered the mecca of football because it is the best league in the world, it is not surprising that top players really want to play there.
Incorrect, the best football league is Saudi Professional League since they have Ronaldo, as we know Ronaldo is a GOAT in football. Cool
All leagues in the world are good and each have their separate fan so condemning a certain league is wrong. To some premier league is the best league due to a certain reason probably because of it’s competitive nature and also there are those who believe La liga is the best league probably because they play more possession game than other leagues and there is you who believe Saudi league is the best because Ronaldo plays there and he has influenced other top players to play there as well but if you think Saudi league is the best league because Ronaldo plays there then does that mean you have had 4 different best leagues in the verge of 6 years because Ronaldo have played in 4 different countries Spain, Italy, England and Saudi.

The premier league is the most competitive league and i love it for that reason so IMO i will choose the Premier league over any other league but that doesn’t mean I should start criticizing other leagues.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 06:53:51 PM
Liverpool already scored. With the goal scored by Darwin Nunez, Liverpool took a 1-0 lead against Burnley, even though it was the beginning of the match. They are one of the secret favorites of the league. I think they will be in an important position in this race with Arsenal and Manchester City. Nunez is slowly getting back into shape and there are effective attacks with Salah. Liverpool are playing like that effective season two years ago.
It now 2 goals for Liverpool after Elliot added a second and it now seems like Liverpool are comfortable and looks as if they have secured the match. Ohh i think the goal was just disallowed for offside they should be comfortable but it seems there is still a lead to protect. They now sit on top of the table with two points ahead of Gunners. If Arsenal wins tomorrow everything will be back to normal and Arsenal will be leading with a point.

The match is not over yet, Liverpool need not relax if they want to win because we have seem teams pull off late goals in the premier League so Liverpool need to be careful and add a security goal.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 26, 2023, 09:40:44 AM

The beauty of the football game is that Bayern Munich do not even need to beat Bayer Leverkusen, not at all. Bayern munich just needs to get maximum points whenever Bayer leverkusen drops points and the 4 points margin will vanish. Also, recall that Bayern Munich has a game advantage because they have played one game less than other teams in the league.

The title charge is on!!!
It sounds so easy to say but it won’t be easy to get all maximum points because not long ago Bayern Munich lost to Frankfurt on a high goal margin of 5-1 which was unexpected. Leverkusen will definitely drop points sooner or later but it will be up to Bayern Munich not to lose any more matches if they want to close the gap but that will be so difficult considering their inconsistent performance. Playing a game less means they will be one points behind if they eventually win the match and it will make the title challenge more intense.

Leverkusen looks like a team that can keep the fire burning but we can’t be so sure yet as we not sure what the outcome will be when injuries hit their key players.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 09:14:30 AM
Pochettino doesn't yet fully understand his player and perhaps giving him too much time won't make a difference. Because the English league is quite different from other leagues and coaches are required to be able to adapt quickly so as not to lead the club to continued defeat.
I also believe he doesn’t understand his players that well and that must be the reason why he keeps changing line up every game, he doesn’t have trust in his players and it’s why he keeps rotating players. By now he should have picked and appointed certain players to certain positions and put trust in them even when they don’t perform well, that’s how to get the best from players but he will start Mudryk today and bench him the next game, he would start Colwill today and bench him the next, it doesn’t bring out the best in players. As a coach tou should have your favorite players that starts games for you if they are available that way they will get used to each other and understand one another perfectly and the team spirit will be strongly boosted. This is the premier league and if you show any sign of inconsistency teams will take advantage of that and it’s the reason why coaches are expected to adapt easily.

As it is right now, it is obvious that the current strength of the Man Utd team won't withstand the strength of the Aston Villa squad, but I would like to take a different view of the game, seeing a lot of sites predicting Aston Villa to win the game is something that sometimes go the unexpected way, So I risked on Manchester United to win the game and seeing that they lost their last game against West Ham United they wouldn't want to lose again, plus the pattern or the leg with which this season is going, it might be shocking to see Manchester United win Aston Villa in this game.
It’s all mere predictions and it due to United’s poor performance recently, i also think Aston Villa are the favorites to win since Manchester United are very poor when playing at Old Trafford. Aston Villa are good enough to win the match but Manchester United can surprise us which is something not likely though. No team always want to lose and despite United losing their last match I can’t risk my money on them because they lack a good attacking force and that’s what results to winning matches.
