Trading volumes are at all times low plus stablecoin showing some concerns.. If BTC breaks through $6K mark, we might be in a free fall for some time again. Any thoughts?
There is more than just one major stable coin available now so there will likely be a bit less of a disaster should one fail to maintain its overall stability and trustworthiness This doesn't mean that the market won't dip in the event that one does it's just better positioned to absorb any major fluctuations resulting from an event like this

Cryptocurrency markets are naturally volatile so you can hardly expect them to be stable
For any avid new investor now is a good time to do some research and start putting together a portfolio even if its just on paper to see how it performs
That should remove some of the uncertainties about what can be expected from this type of emerging market

So recently we've been hearing all the news and predictions about the absolute bottom we've reached. If this is true, then i suggest we should work very hard now in bounties and investors should also not give up. This is because, some coins came some months ago and are in a loss of about 80-90%, it'll take a while for the moon time to come. Now if we've reached the bottom, investing now would mean that by the time old coins recover their losses, coins that got into the system now would have mooned x2/3/4/.... Let's not loose hope yet. Better days will indeed come ahead. Nevertheless, we should beware of scam. Scammers are still around so we should do our checks well before joining any project. Considering there are now less and less illegitimate / copycat / scam ICO's and that are achieving any success the most worthwhile projects will eventually demonstrate their true value, especially once the market gets into better shape so you're right and as long as you're doing your due diligence to ensure you're not investing into anything that's not a viable proposition you should benefit in the end

At the moment, the price descent has fully played the bearish potential of the figure. In fact, we have now descended to the upper limit of global accumulation. What's next? Most likely the price can go down a little more, bounce and then go to the side. It is likely that on the weekend we will observe a sluggish lateral movement. Starting next week, we are opening up the horizons for a new round of growth. And globally, we next focused only on growth, albeit monotonous and slow, but growing. Goals - first $7.400, and then to $8.200.
That's quite an optimistic outlook for the market at present It would be a good sign of further improvements if Bitcoin did break out of the current range although there could be a bit of a way to go before that is likely to occur

This kind of speculation has no basis to it apart from pure guess work
The technology is still too new and far too difficult for your average person to use so it's not going to be rapidly gaining value in the short term especially with the condition the market is in
Give it a year or more for the project to evolve and it should be performing much better as an investment prospect

With all the recent hype about the new RapidX platform release you'd have thought it would gain more value after a little rise then subsequent sell off as investors took profits but this hasn't occurred and it indicates the market is not yet as buoyant as it could be

It's possible but where would that leave the rest of the market?
Threads like this are no different from ones that are titled "BTC, road down to $3,000"
Ethereum has the largest adoption rates and the most use cases of all the smart contract platforms and it's market cap is in proportion with the rest of the competition based on what it offers but removing some speculative value it's price should still at least be $100+ even in if the market did get a little worse

Just to let this off my chest because of posts chastising people who bought coins at x5 or x10 their ICO. Honestly, no one knows how much is too much. BTC for example. Someone paid 10,000 BTC for 2 pizza in 2010...say those 2 pizza was worth $10, that makes BTC at that point worth $0.001 Using this value, is BTC expensive at; x10 or $0.01? x100 or $0.10? x1,000 or $1.00? x10,000 or $10.00? We all know the answer now but not when people were buying them at that price (ATH). Who knows how high; ICX, VEN, NEO, XMR will go? Are people who buy them at ATH stupid? I don't think so. If I believe on a coin, I don't care if it just pumped x10, if I think (and yes I could be mistaken) it will go up more I will buy it. For me, it happened with XMR, NEO, EMC2, VEN, ICX, PRL, WTC etc. Not all are success stories, I have my fails but all in all...I am way ahead and who knows, one of them might follow the path of BTC or ETH. RANT over. If you're in it for the long haul then it wouldn't matter so much as the projects you mention have strong development teams and a reasonable amount of daily use and some offer a dividend or interest for holding them which helps recoup some of your initial investment However, it's not ideal to buy in when the market is over bought or at ATH's (unless you have options to short in the event of a downtrend) as you won't gain much return in the short to medium term from too pricey a portfolio FOMO is your worst enemy in this market just wait as everything that goes up will come down again and then you can buy in at good value

It's not always possible to determine so if you're ever uncertain just buy in once the crowdsale is finished and development is steadily underway this way you'll lower the chances of losses, and besides you're better off investing in well-founded options anyhow in the current market climate

It's back! This is virtually one of the classic coins now considering how many revisions its been through
Are there any more development coming up to look out for and does the project have a marketing fund?

You can say what you like but markets go down when there is no confidence! If it crashes big time the media will make cryptos look worse than they already have!
But
Things are changing and I believe the Bulls will take Bitcoin to 7K plus and restore confidence!
Bitcoin Forever!
The media recently cast a very negative light on the cryptocurrency market as a whole but this didn't result in any major impact on the overall cap which still floats around the $200 billion mark In fact there was a small rally which is the opposite of what you'd expect to occur and also the comparisons to stock market correlation aren't always valid either
|
|
|
No hype needed simply if a project with good future potential is over sold its not unwise to consider investing a small portion of your portfolio into it especially when you receive a dividend for holding
These types of assets should perform better as the market shapes up further in the coming months

The next bull run I guess, if it does not happen this year, will be the bitcoin halving next year. What do you think? Does this makes sense that movement of price may trigger before or after the bitcoin halving?
Correction. Halving is on 2020. Thanks folks!
It's still quite some time away and it may depend on what impact an ETF has along with increased institutional investment and more mainstream awareness and media attention which are factors that weren't present for the last halving

Interest from new investors has declined a little giving some holders the jitters especially short term speculators
Add to that some negative sentiment in the market which could be attributed to recent FUD spread by the media and you have a bit of uncertainty
I wouldn't worry too much though it's normal for this to occur in the lead up to further improvements

Not sure if there is a universal index of all ICO's that raised softcap or were cancelled or failed other than the individual rating sites
There's lots that were successful but never got listed on coinmarketcap making them harder to find
If anyone can locate a resource that lists all of this information please do share

If altcoin prices dip and you've been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the right time to invest then this moment may represent an opportunity to add some good quality assets to your portfolio

I see a lot of questions about cryptocurrency. I don't understand why people are so suspicious. We all see that even taking into account the fact that the cryptocurrency fluctuates, falls, rises again. But from year to year growing. Even when the price is low, it is a great opportunity to buy more cryptocurrencies when a good time to sell is rising if it is not a long term investment. In any case, there are positive aspects, the main thing to be able to use them and look for. And there is no reason for tantrums and nerves. And the risks associated with cryptocurrencies, we all know and understand. To do this, we do our research. And each of us is doing everything possible to minimize the risks. So why are so many people constantly nervous and worried about it?
The risks still remain relatively high in comparison to other types of assets like stocks, gold/silver or property etc With frequent hacks, rampant scams, volatility, and not much regulation in place yet to protect investors it's obvious there's many reasons why your average investor might not find this emerging market very appealing but that will change in future

Will Ethreum voice back like it did last year or else we are having false expectations about recovery of ethreum when we know the fact that crypto currency has become so unpredictable nowadays ? Kindly share your responses as downfall of ETH has become talk of the town.
Ethereum is one of those more reliable assets that has enough market share and adoption to outlast many other competing assets especially if there's any more down trends You may find it can get a bit cheaper but it is very likely to bounce back even from a momentary collapse if one occurred

Seems like the last couple of years in October, November, and December have been good for Bitcoin. Let's see what is going to happen this year. I think it is likely that Bitcoin price is going up. Not going to speculate how much though as there is no point for that.
Well said in regards to speculation just be prepared to take advantage of any major dips that occur during this time if you're actively seeking to invest as you probably won't regret it later
