You cant say that cryptocurrency market is unhealthy just because the prices of majority of the cryptocurrency are down because stock market also experiencing it sometimes. And how could you say that it is unhealthy if traders can still make profit from it? It may be unhealthy for you because you are just a holder and it hurts you when the price are not going the way you are seeing it in your vision. You also have to accept that this market is still new and there are lots of people that wants to manipulate the price.

Cryptocurrency can be compared to stock market.
If you see a newer or less matured stock market, it would have larger fluctuation (in limited amount of trading hours).
And even a larger stock market has large emotional fluctuations, they have tools to reduce them like circuit breaker.
Cryptocurrency on the other hand is a 24 hour market with no circuit breakers.

The vast majority of investors that made the market swell in dec 2017 (which caused it to crash) were inexperienced traders.
The market was pushed past it's limit and subsequentlly popped.
