621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: June 03, 2017, 03:51:35 PM
Jose Aldo has a chance to redeem himself, he was pretty depressed after the Connor fight, but I doubt he will ever get a rematch from Conor.

If I had to guess, Conor will fight Mayweather, will lose, will get the 75 million, will go back to UFC, will fight Ferguson and Khabib and that's it, he will end his career there.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 213: Nunes vs Shevchenko 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: June 03, 2017, 03:17:46 PM
Cody Garbrandt's back injury was so unfortunate, i hope it doesn't ruin his career, he was destined to be one of the best ever, the way he played around with Dominic Cruz in 207 was pretty epic, he made him look like a noob sometimes, notable since Dominic Cruz is a top competitor too.
Dominic Cruz is a tough competitor but one thing is that his body is not keep up with the talents this kid has and even in recent times he is plagued by plantar fascia tendinitis, which is a painful foot and since is game plan is focused on movement it will be hard to win a battle with that kind of disease,it was an epic battle tough.Hope he could recover and come back and put up some fantastic shows.

I believe both Dominic Cruz and Cody Garbrandt will come back in full form and then fight a rematch, and it's anybody's guess who will win, because both fighters are one of the best of all times on their division no doubt about that. When the rematch happens I have no idea who I would bet on.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So what is STRAT exactly? on: June 03, 2017, 02:12:51 PM

If you had invested 1 BTC in Stratis, which was around ~$600 at the time, you would now have over $1m. Stratis is bwy far the most profitable ICO that there has even been. Ironically, it's usually the people which one classifies as "a fool and his money are soon parted" that tend to hit these "homeruns".

Im sure one of the upcoming ICO's (bancor, tezos, etc) will deliver great returns, so I guess it's a matter of investing some on each of them.

Then again, apparently the Stratis ICO went pretty low key.. which is a requirement to get insane ROI. I feel like the bigger ICOs may be too pumped since day 1 so you can't expect massive ROI...

How can you find a massive ROI ICO anymore if there are people investing on all of them?

https://icostats.com/roi-since-ico

All of those are on the green since ICO.

The problem again is, all good ICOs will be impossible to get in from now on due ETH whales raising gas price.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So what is STRAT exactly? on: June 03, 2017, 11:47:44 AM
At this time Stratis is only hyperbole & vaporware standardized to a non-preferred programming platform.

I think this is a correct calculation to arrive at current market valuation >

Cool Name = $500 Million
Cool Logo = $200 Million
Association to Blockchain buzzword = $300 Million
Vague Association To Microsoft Brand Name = $200 Million

VOILA! $1.2 Billion Market Cap Achieved

Well shit, could have guessed that by the time the ICO kicked in, now we all would be rich. This thing just went from $5 to $10. I can't help but feel like an idiot at the idea of jumping in, but i've been feeling like that since it was $1. I hate this feeling.

I just need to hit a homerun with some ICO and get rich so I can forget about paying attention to all those shitcoins. I want to focus on few coins but I dont want to miss the next STRAT or whatever.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So what is STRAT exactly? on: June 02, 2017, 06:27:51 PM
Stratis is Ethereum but with C#, and as far as I can tell that's it.  Lisk is Ethereum but with JavaScript, and as far as I can tell that's it.

Well shit, on that case it may as well pump bigly. Lisk pumped pretty big. What's the ROI on that thing since the ICO?

Strat is already pretty nuts so I wonder if it will keep going on.

People seem to love the ethereum clones. Just make an Ethereum clone under another language and launch an ICO.

Alonso wants the triple crown, so he will try again to win the Indy 500, next time it will be easier for him because he already got the experience of going through it all at least once.

He also wants to win the 24h Leemans race, so im looking forward to that.

It will depend on how good his Formula 1 year is next year, if the car is still a scam, he will try again.

Hahaha. I am quite sure his car will not be a scam anymore since this is the last year of his contract with McClaren. With what was shown this season, I am certain he leave and look for another team. Maybe Redbull?

Speculation on him leaving are true, there were also talks that McLaren will take Mercedes engines, but this turn out to be scam. Alonso is probably best driver here, he showed this with less competitive cars in last few season and for him it would be good to see him in RedBull but dont think it is possible. It was even announced at one point at the end of last season that he will join in Mercedes but turn out to be scan again. Think that Alonso will wait for last possible moment to decide and make decision.

Among the top teams that have drivers that are out of contract in the end of the season are, Mercedes - Valterri Bottas, Ferrari - Sebastian and Kimi, and Redbull - Daniel Riccardio.

My prediction for the 2018 drives would be Daniel goes to Ferrari to replace Kimi. Kimi goes to Redbull with Fernando Alonso. Mercedes stays the same.

Redbull is not a killer team anymore. I remember the Vettel year how they had an amazing car, there were even doubts of the car having illegal improvements because the performance was from another planet.

Then suddenly Redbull is not as competitive anymore and Mercedes is the best.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / So what is STRAT exactly? on: June 02, 2017, 01:07:59 PM
What is STRAT but another Ethereum clone? It has even the exact same total supply, which makes people speculate about it reaching an higher price.

Why would STRAT go higher than what we have already seen? Is this another total shitcoin or has some fundamental value?
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 213: Nunes vs Shevchenko 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: June 01, 2017, 05:19:56 PM
Another messup for the UFC. No GSP vs Bisping, no Cody... those are the fights I wanted

Nunes will win, Cerrone will win, Fabricio will win, not exciting imo.

Fabricio Werdum vs Alistair Overeem will be my favorite but only because it's a nostalgic fight, but those guys should retire, I think they have no options against Stipe.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stratis (STRAT) still a viable investment, despite the rise? on: June 01, 2017, 04:05:21 PM
It's always scary to buy in coins that are pumped, I mean look at the graph, it was less than a dollar recently, there are a lot of new millionaires now holding STRAT at the verge of selling... it's difficult to buy and potentially be the last idiot buying at the top before a massive correction.

Of course it could pump to $10 for all I know.

Well, you need more than a car that can finish races. If you can finish the race and never be able to fight for the tournament, you are still in a way getting scammed as a racer that is obviously a top3 driver if not the best driver.

He may get tired of the bullshit and if next year his car is not only more stable but still not a competitive car, then he will try again Indy500 or LeMans.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CAUTION: If the exchange you are using doesn't list BIP148 you are being SCAMMED on: June 01, 2017, 02:19:29 PM
Exchanges that don't prepare for this are going to go bankrupt. Look at the ETH/ETC clusterfuck. If BIP148 actually wins and people lose their money, they are going to need to pay millions to customers in loses. Coinbase would go out for sure.

Anyone not holding their coins on a full validating node is a god damn moron at this point. If you trust anything but your own full validating node you are a pushover.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Matchpool ICO worth investing? on: May 31, 2017, 05:33:09 PM
Well the ICO is doing good, according to ICOstats it's like 300% up, at least you aren't holding a bag.

But other than that, I just don't see the point. A blockchain for finding some ons? whats the point, if you want a date you get Tinder like normal people do.

I don't see any girls using this thing, it's all centered in Tinder and some other apps like that. I dont see the necessity of blockchain tech for this. Sounds like a joke to me.

635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: May 31, 2017, 12:23:23 PM
Mayweather is still on top shape, he is always training and keeps himself active. In his last fight he made Berto look like an Amateur, and McGregor is an actual boxing amateur, so he is going to make him look like a fool.
That is the only thing i like about Mayweather is that he wont drink nor use drugs and he always takes care of his body,McGregor is not even an amateur boxer as i am not sure he has entered a boxing ring in his life for a bout but he could hit hard and that is the exciting factor,no one cares if Mayweather schools him because that is what is supposed to happen a big pay day for both the fighters but what if he could knock him out and what different does an MMA fighter who is really unorthodox can do.

Lol. How did you know that Mayweather has lost his reflexes?
How do you know that he has not lost his reflexes. He has not taken much damages in the boxing ring but anything could happen, what if Mayweather takes Mcgregor lightly like the rest of the opponents he faced in MMA and gets knocked out.It is a possibility.

McGregor is not even amateur. I couldn't find any senior titles, he may have won some junior titles, in some video he showed some trophies when he was young... nothing big.

http://boxrec.com/search/do_search

If he had any relevant boxing titles it would show up on this website. So yeah, he has no actual boxing experience. He will have to use his UFC striking skills. And remember that power on boxing globes is different to UFC.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First to reach 1 Trillion $ on: May 30, 2017, 06:47:23 PM
honestly i believe that it will be an alt coin that surpasses bitcoin that reaches 1 trillion first, Ethereum maybe?

You have to ask yourself what is the point of $1 trillion dollars sitting in a token that is basically not used for anything yet.

I would love to proved wrong but i still don't see the point of all those smart contract things.

On the other hand I do see $1 trillion marketcap possible in bitcoin because simply people will want to hold money outside of conventional assets.

But ETH? I dont see how it can reach $1 trillion outside of a massive bubble or if smart contracts in ETH definitely proven as viable and useful.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: May 30, 2017, 05:36:30 PM
As for Mayweather's record. "49 have tried and 49 have failed".
Mayweather is 40 years old his reflexes may have gone done and if McGregor could connect one single punch then it will be game over,McGregor has already shown that he could hit the target with short gloves and with ten inch gloves he could connect in my opinion,it all depends upon how rusty Mayweather will be coming into the fight.

Mayweather is still on top shape, he is always training and keeps himself active. In his last fight he made Berto look like an Amateur, and McGregor is an actual boxing amateur, so he is going to make him look like a fool.

Of course, McGregor hits hard as hell, so if he connects one punch that could be it. This is why the fight is so exciting. But let's not forget, Mayweather has a strong chin and can take a punch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhnRO9NeXFI

In this second round Mosley rocked Mayweather, and he still managed to come back and make Mosley look like a tool by the end of the fight. It takes amazing determination to do that.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the Bitcoin UASF has already won in case of a hard fork on: May 30, 2017, 02:46:10 PM
Bro, you can't just be 90% right, you have to be 100% right, because if you're wrong and transact on legacy chain after Aug. 1, and legacy chain re-orgs into segwit chain ANYTIME after, your transaction history on legacy chain gets erased, and your coins are gone.

Still feeling that Segwit + 2MB hubris?

NY agreement is a meme. This is what the bitcoin hyperwhales (richer than Ver, Bitmain etc) think about the agreement:

http://qntra.net/2017/05/still-no-consensus-supporting-bitcoin-hardfork-barry-silbert-pretends-otherwise-to-his-peril/

Quote
Barry Silbert's (WOT:nonperson) "Digital Currency Group" announced in a medium post that yet another delusion of consensus arrived in the Bitcoin scaling debate with "A conference sponsored by the Ethereum,1 Dash,2 and Ripple3 scams produces an agreement on how to scale Bitcoin". The post outlined the reasons the conference attendees believe they get to make decisions in Bitcoin, with claims of support for the proposals by:

    56 "companies" located in 21 countries4
    83.28% of hashing power5
5.1 billion US dollars of monthly on chain transaction volume6
    20.5 million Bitcoin wallets 7

A selection of scam artists doing business as "companies" while lacking the charm necessary to fleece the elderly allege they will "provide technical and engineering support to test and support the upgrade software, as well as to assist companies with preparing for the upgrades". Noted names incapable of providing meaningful testing or support such as: the MLM BitClub Network, Ryan X. Charles' paywalled spam reader, and Gavin Assassinsen were offered as options for the forkcurious to seek support from.

Not to mention they can't even agree on what the agreement is

639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MSM Needs to take their dirty Paws off our Bitcoin & Crypto on: May 30, 2017, 02:02:07 PM
It makes me very uncomfortable seeing Articles on Bitcoin from the Mainstream media whether they're against or in it's favor.
Their insecure sponsors have very unhealthy obsession for power and would most likely do anything possible to control the Blockchain.
Let all Crypto fans be aware that Blockchain/CryptoCurrency was created because of these corrupt people. We all need to do everything possible to protect it from them or we'll be doomed again

I kind of feel they are trying to penetrate, control or destroyed the Blockchain with "if you can beat them you join them" tactics.

You can't control what goes into the media. If mainstream media is jumping on the bandwagon is because the price is going up, once a correction happens and the price is stable for a while they will stop reporting, then once we hit $10,000 they will report again.

I guess they will start pumping ETH too because all those brands are jumping on the hype. I should have bought some fucking ETH that I can tell you. I may buy after a big crash happens.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the Bitcoin UASF has already won in case of a hard fork on: May 29, 2017, 05:17:18 PM
I used to be on the fence about UASF, but not anymore since it's happening anyway, and since it's happening anyway, it might as well work. I wouldn't like to see a tie, but that's pretty hard in this situation, the balance will eventually go one way or another, and im getting sick of the bullshit. I would still like to see this getting explored:

https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2017-May/014445.html

But I suspect Jihan will keep delaying anything that makes the fees go low, so if you ever want to see bitcoin scale, UASF must be it.
