621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's last big rally in this cycle on: March 03, 2024, 02:31:31 PM
I believe that this cycle has great potential to be greater than the previous ones, I cite as a basis the performance of Bitcoin this year, where Bitcoin almost broke 64K USD, almost reaching the ATH even before the halving, this is unprecedented, imagine what it can do happen the following year, which is usually the leg with the highest increase.
What I think to be the most interesting aspect of this bullish season so far is the fact we are seeing Bitcoin flcutuating around price ranges which I was expecting to see only in the end of 2024. However, I'm not sure if it's a good or bad sign yet, because as we have seen along all these years in crypto market, when prices increase too fast in short time intervals, we see harsh corrections right after. So I fear whales might use this to liquidate positions and crash BTC price before we see the next ATH yet.

I'm really curious to see if we are safe to go from the current 62,000$ to the next ATH, or if it will still bounce to 40,000$-50,000$ once again before we have a direct ride to a more humble ATH between 70,000$-80,000$.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: March 03, 2024, 02:18:07 PM
Which do you think it's best? Some people do think that been soft and gentle will be more effective and some people think that been harder on them is the real love here, they need to make them stop by force.

What do you think?
Each person is a biopsychosocial individual, with personal subjective characteristics which can't be compared to each other as it was a cake recipe. The best working method for one person might not be the best method for another person, so you have to analyze each case particularly and closely. Nowadays everyone on the internet have the solutions for every problems humanity faces, judging from the comfort of their houses, however on practice things happen differently.

Only the family or the therapist who is close to the addict individual in a daily basis will be able to draw an accurate scenario of what is happening and what approaches could be more efficient. Moreover, it's not just a matter of best working method, that is, to be harsher or softer. The main key point is the addict individual wishing to change his life for the better and to finally overcome the addiction. If this person doesn't want treatment and doesn't see the importance of it, you can be soft, harsh or warm that it won't make any differences at all...

Lots of users exeprienced recently delayed withdrawals, they eventually were paid but there were delays and it was quite unusual. Hopefully it's just a blip and no more.
Isn't this the sign withdrawals are reviewed manually by the platform before being processed, therefore working as an efficient anti-bot/cheater system? Maybe they take their time to check the account which is demanding the cashout, which other accounts might be connected to it, how often it claims from the faucet, so they conclude if it's a genuine user or not.

Depending the moment the withdrawal was executed by the user, it has always delayed more or less, even when choosing instant mode. I already had withdrawals which took longer and others which were launched faster on the blockchain.

Regards their business model, it's not hard to believe it's sustainable. After all it's a casino, and many of the free satoshis paid hourly to faucet users return to the house once the users try multiplying their prizes into more considerable sums of money. Besides that, there are also others who deposit on the platform in order to gamble, and also end losing everything.

Casino bankroll investment has already returned 20%-50% profit yearly to investors in the past at Crypto-Games.com, so I guess the 4%-5% APY margin offered by freebitco.in is pretty conservative considering this category of investment. For those who don't know, part of the money we deposit in freebitco.in to earn daily interest is used by the platform to fund their gambling bankroll.
624  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: March 02, 2024, 05:40:03 PM
What if I don't want to go through all these process, don't care if I'm a graduate or not or if I'm good at speaking good English or not buth I'm just focused on how to make the money and end up making the money, won't the end justify the means?
And how are you going to make money if you don't want to take your time to read, learn and study? People are paid for their skills and for what they can provide to each other. If you can't provide anything useful because you didn't developed any skills, you aren't going to make any money after all... To be focused on how to make money means you are focused in learning something which can proportionate you to achieve that goal futurely.

It's not about the end justifying the means. It's about you being rewarded in the future for your hard efforts in the present time to become a professional who will be able to comply with people's needs and expectations inside jobs market.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does BTC mean to you? on: March 02, 2024, 03:22:29 PM
For me Bitcoin means an opportunity of investing my money in a profitable way, which allows me to be optimistic about thriving financially, despite the difficulties we find in our traditional socities and financial systems, which don't give chances for average citizens to develop themselves in the same manner they benefit the ones at the top of pyramid. Bitcoin doesn't guarantee equity, but it does something much more important, that is to ensure equality among every investors, who can have access to Bitcoin currency without any bureaucracies, impediments and setbacks.

Bitcoin has shown even poor and small investors are able to thrive, if they endure, are patient and keep focused on long term goals, without having to corrupt themselves, kneeling to the powerful rulers of this world in order to achieve something better in their local communities and countries, as it has been happening in this world since always. I believe that is why Bitcoin is also directly connected to the sensation of freedom, because it allows you to grow by yourself independently, in consonance with your own values, without having to go against your morals and ethics in order to thrive.
626  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 02, 2024, 02:57:48 PM
Also, in the case that the debtor uses certain assets as collateral, the creditor will come for the asset to either take possession of it or sell it and set off the bet if anyone can't pay the debt for the deceased. In this case, as well, the children might not want the asset to be sold and be forced to pay the debt. I hope you get the gits? Inasmuch as the children are not co-signers to the loan collection, they are not responsible for it and will not be obliged to pay unless they feel like due to one reason or another. This is one of the risks that banks and loan companies face too if they do not properly document their clients/customers to make them accountable.
That is, in case of debt, the heirs won't inherit the patrimony of the deceased one, as it will be used to pay the debt left by him in life. If after the debt is paid, there is still patrimony left, the heirs will receive the surplus, but in case the patrimony isn't enough to pay the debt, heirs don't receive anything, what is good from a certain point of view, since debt left isn't inherited too.

The reason why many people get revolted on this matter, it's because they think it's absurd to not have access to the heritage, so they consider they inherited the debt somehow. It's understandable they feel like this and blame banks, loan sharks, gambling on the process, although they forget it was mainly fault of the deceased individual who compromised his finances, patrimony and the future of his heirs.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 02, 2024, 02:02:55 PM
but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?
I would be really pissed off, angry, mad and betrayed by the closest person I had in life. It has never happened to me, and I hope it never happens, but inevitably we are under risk in this life, because we never know the true nature of other people with 100% assurance, even the one sleeping by your side. Anyway, I don't think it's the kind of thing which happen often.

To lost it all means to lost patrimony, funds at bank, vehicles, investments, which can't be lost all at once. It must be a progressive chain of events, which will trigger the attention of the husband or wife before the other person spends everything gambling. Moreover, if the person insanely tries to sell their belongings instantly, there are financial or banking managers who will spot something is going wrong there, and will call the husband or wife to tell them about the strange behavior of their partners before they commit any irreversible mistakes.

In every cases, I would never wish to be by the side of someone so unstable like that, ready to annihilate the progress which took an entire life to achieve in a matter of minutes in a gambling session. This kind of person is destructive and will make you ill in the end, just like him/her.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: March 02, 2024, 01:50:17 PM
how does it work? And are there any other trusted casinos that are offering this investment? Is it a bad investment?
You basically lend money to the casino, which will use your money to fund their bankroll. When gamblers win, you lose side by side with the house, and when gamblers lose, you profit at the house's side. The concept of this kind of investment is really good, because as we know, casinos always profit on long run. However, that is not the only aspect to pay attention to when thinking about casino bankroll investment.

You also have to check if the casino you are going to invest has a solid and frequent traffic of gamblers and bets in a daily basis. The higher the flux of money, the better it's going to be for the house, and consequently for you, as investor. It means potential losses the casino might face on short run will be fastly absorved by losses most gamblers will face.

On the other hand, when there is a low base of active players, and few daily bets or inconsistent bets in a weekly or monthly time period, the investment becomes more risky, because it can take longer until the house aborbs the losses they have to jackpot winners, for example.

The casino you promote is a trusted one, which has been working for several years already, however, it doesn't make it a good place to invest your money, because they have little traffic, just like every other current casinos offering this category of investment to customers. Nowadays it's a bad investment, unfortunatelly, though it would be a great opportunity if casinos like Stake, Duelbits, Rollbit offered the feature, due to them being popular platforms which move larger sums of money in a daily basis.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 02, 2024, 12:52:46 PM
I believe greediness lead to addiction. Greed is tge poison, while addiction is the intoxication. Someone who takes several dosages of poison will inevitably get intoxicated at some point, and that is when they start doing crazy things like borrowing money to gamble, stealing from others to gamble, lying to close people in order to have access to money to gamble, and to act like the man from the example you mentioned did.

And why do people seek for intoxication, when it should be pretty obvious it's going to be harmful for them? Well, probably the consequences aren't clear for them at first point. They can only see the short term pleasure and possible benefits, like hitting a jackpot, doubling their funds or getting rich. For ignorance or euphoria they don't measure the potential negative impacts of being greedy and adding this to gambling on a formula, so when they face the results and consequences, it's already too late.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 06:18:59 PM
Congratulations to this lucky winner! The woman thought she had won only 5000$ because she didn't see the last completed word on the scratching ticket. Thankfully her son was nearby and enlighted her regards the real jackpot prize achieved. Moreover, what I most liked about this story is that the woman plans investing the prize earned instead of wasting or spending it indiscriminately. She is going to talk to her financial advisor on what to do with money. I just hope he is a crypto enthusiast and helps the woman to destinate part of the funds to Bitcoin investment, for her own good and the good of her family!
631  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 01, 2024, 04:02:08 PM
Hard to say what to expect from this month of March... Bitcoin price just increased too much in a very short time interval to 62,000$. When price fluctuates like this, we are likely to see corrections right after which push the market downside. So far we are bouncing between 61,000$ and 62,000$, with 63,000$ as the next resistance level. The worst is that I'm living a dilemma because I don't know if I should buy now or if I should wait to see what the next trend of the market is, that is, to wait for a potential correction in price.

I fear that whales might be waiting to dump prices after the recent increasements. It looks surrealist to see Bitcoin getting close to its previous ATH, without even having crossed the halving event yet. I was expecting to see what is happening right now only in the end of this year. Bitcoin market is heavily precocious these days.
632  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 01, 2024, 03:43:02 PM
Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?
Of course! When you have children and a family, your expenses are going to rise considerably, so you have to adapt your budget to your new reality in order to not let your family in need. It means you will spend more money with basic stuff, like food, electricity and water bills, medics and medicines for your children, clothing, toys and accessories, day care center fees and so on... That is why the decision of having children, marrying or even having sex should be very well analyzed before executed.

The consequences will be for the rest of your life, and nothing is going to be the same anymore. If you value your freedom, or if you don't have enough financial conditions to give this step in your life, then don't do this. Many people act without thinking carefully, and once they see, they have already commited a big mistake which can't be undone. Then 'adios' to gambling routine, partying out with friends, playing sports frequently and doing what you want when you wish to do.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Funds are SAFU": Here we go again, but with Coinbase! on: March 01, 2024, 03:01:34 PM
If you store the largest portion of your funds safely, I don't think it's a big issue to let another portion of your money deposited at online platforms most of the time, although there are critical periods of time, such as when BTC skyrockets suddenly towards a new ATH level, for example. In times like this, it's a wise decision to store all your coins safely, due to Bitcoin becoming heavily targeted by everyone.
Your points doesn't make any sense.

If the hackers can hack an exchange regardless during bear season or bull season, they will do it ASAP.

If you meant people in general or criminals that attack with $5 wrench, someone can know your Bitcoin if you share it to other people, as long as you stay private, no one will know your holdings.
The possibility of an exchange being hacked or the exchange's owners executing an exit scam is always present, despite the scenario being a bull or bear market. However, there will be more motivation and incentive to execute a hack or scam when there are higher potential rewards to be achieved by the thieves. It's logical (and obvious) to think thieves will prefer focusing their attention and effort to thick pockets than average pockets when choosing their victims to pickpocket.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Funds are SAFU": Here we go again, but with Coinbase! on: March 01, 2024, 02:08:57 PM
Panicking Coinbase users woke up today to find their bitcoin balances at $0 because of a technical glitch.

Today's glitch tomorrow's reality.

"Not your keys not your coins."

People will never learn it seems and I am not really different. I still hold some coins in an exchange even though I know that I shouldn't. But damn trading opportunities are so good and you can't make trades without you make a deposit first.

There are a few decentralized trading platforms, I should probably dig into those too.
It's hard to completely get rid of exchanges from our routine in crypto universe. I used to keep all my funds in third party platforms, especially for passive income purposes, however, since the scandals involving big companies from the industry in 2022, I finally took the decision of withdrawing a large portion of my money from such websites and store it in a hardware wallet. Anyway, I still keep some funds in online platforms, although now I consider the risks to be more calculated and manageable than before.

If you store the largest portion of your funds safely, I don't think it's a big issue to let another portion of your money deposited at online platforms most of the time, although there are critical periods of time, such as when BTC skyrockets suddenly towards a new ATH level, for example. 635  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: March 01, 2024, 01:57:39 PM

Can you tell me why did that happen? Where did they go wrong? Did they lack marketing or were benefits much enough that it could harm casinos budget long-term? It's interesting to discuss about it but I am afraid we will probably never see previous benefits again because the barrier to get FUN benefits are super low compared to what it was for first investors. Maybe they'll build a new tiers but it still doesn't look fair for those who paid lots of money back then.

With a bazillion tokens out there and BTC being the king, it's hard to convince entities to accept if the adoption rate is low. Also with lack of Layer 2 protocol (i.e. ERC20), fees are just not worth the hassle.
I agree. It's hard to tell with assurance why prices aren't following the trend of crypto market, but it seems likely to be due to excessive supply of tokens on the market, too high interest rates for staking (up to 25% APY), lack of practical usecases for adopters and expensive transactions' fees, as some people have already pointed out in different occasions.

Marketing has been pretty active, considering they are being constantly promoted through freebitco.in, which is a very popular website in crypto industry. Regards marketing, what else could they have done? Maybe launched a signature campaign here? Paid some influencers to promote the token?

Another aspect I think they failed was to have launched an exclusive casino for FUN token. They should have launched a casino accepting different cryptocurrencies, being FUN only one of the available options, although when using FUN to bet, the casino would give extra benefits to gamblers. That would encourage the usage of FUN much more than having a casino which only deals with FUN token.

Well, it's a pitty, since it has been maintaining its position as the top gambling token of crypto market for so long, but not being able to deliver any consistent results along the time.
636  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: February 29, 2024, 06:59:08 PM
Not only in terms of finances, because family members or his wife must feel changes from her husband, such as in terms of being someone who looks busier, often leaving the house for reasons that seem reasonable when in reality they go to a physical casino, family members will also definitely suspect and realize that there is a change in behavior from that person. So no matter how good you are at hiding bad habits, you will eventually be found out, because there are many aspects that will look suspicious to the people around you.
That is totally true. There is no way someone can hide their gambling habits for a long period of time. Besides the financial aspect and the fact of always looking busy, the gambler will also be constantly distracted, as his mind were always away from his body, while also displaying lack of focus on the interactions with his family members, because he will be thinking on gambling all the time, and on the short time intervals he is able to get his thoughts away from gambling, he will be thinking on the consequences of his addiction in secret, since he doesn't want to share his habits with the family, possibly for feeling guilty about it.

Maybe the family won't know exactly the reason why the addicted one is behaving that way in the beginning, but it's a sure thing they will know there is something wrong going on with the person. Only when the wife links the financial aspect to the behavioral one, plus the history of the banking account, she and the family will finally conclude what is going on, unless the gambler saves them a lot of time by confessing the harsh situation he has been going through.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling still pays regardless of our losses on: February 29, 2024, 05:16:59 PM
I spent less than $1 just #1000 in my local currency to place the bet and i won close to $23 which is about #32000 in my local currency as well. Congratulations to me as i didn't expect this winning.
Congratulations for your winning! You won a bet with pretty good odds! I'm sure you weren't expecting winning, considering it had a x23 multiplier. I just hope you don't get greedy by the positive outcome this bet returned you. Sometimes we are positively surprised by gambling results, although we should never change our responsible gambling mindset in order to persue superior winnings expecting similar results like this one are going to repeat themselves in a consistent basis futurely.

You were lucky this time. Take your prize and put it into good use. 23$ isn't that much, but considering we are in a bull run, every investments in crypto worth, so I think it's pretty possible to grow these twenty bucks dollars into a higher sum of money, without having to risk it gambling anymore.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: February 29, 2024, 04:36:33 PM
I want to know how it feels among those of you who gamble using altcoins or bitcoins, basically the crypto you are using today has increased significantly, we know that in 2022-2023 coins that are small are not so valuable, and how does it feel today? Is there a little regret or do you not care because the money you lose in gambling is a necessity for you, so you don't care about the crypto you have lost in gambling for the past two years?
I would be lying if I said there isn't a tiny regret deep inside by having lost big money in the past, when I compare the lost sums to the current crypto market's prices and conclude how much extra money I could have on my hands right now. However, at same time, I can't forget the fact the money I spent gambling was destined to that purpose, as I knew the risks and took them knowing I could lose everything.

After all, I think we shouldn't have this kind of mindset, because if we keep remembering about money we used for entertainment and superfluous goods we acquired in the past, we will get depressed when thinking that money could have been used to invest in cryptocurrencies. What we should take in consideration is that if we spent money back then, it was because we needed to have some fun or to relieve from stress due to the burden of daily routine. And if you aren't comfortable at all with your past choices, don't blame yourself on them, but make an agreement with yourself that from now on you will act in a different manner, prioritizing your investments over your entertainment and boasting activities.

I definitely have checked and everything is right on my end, it was sent to the right address but the coins never came in on the website (even though the transaction is long confirmed). I had to do a bit of a research and found this forum, hence why I am here. I am hoping that TheQuin gives a concrete response or solution as soon as possible. Also, I haven't created a scam accusation because I don't know how to do that... I'm still trying to be patient and hopeful that TheQuin responds to me as soon as he is online. 6 months is a very long time to resolve such a simple problem, it's just so frustrating.
Well, the most drastic measure you can take is indeed to create a thread on Scam Accusations sub-section of this forum. There you have to add all the details and proof of what you are claiming to have happened. It would help bringing attention from older and reputable members of this community to your problem, what can consequently help to make pressure over freebitco.in, so they can finally come publicly and solve the issue you are presenting.

There is no mistery or difficult in creating a thread. If you are able to post here, you are able to create a thread as well. But remember, legit proof of everything you are claiming must be included in the clearest and most organized possible way.

Personally, if it were me on your shoes, I would have already done that a long time ago. It's insane to imagine someone is waiting a deposit issue to be solved for more than 6 months already. Tongue
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 29, 2024, 02:42:53 PM
For someone to be able to stop the addiction of gambling on their self, they ought to have it in their mind that gambling is not the way to make money. Having that kind of mindset alone would help them minimize their addictions to gambling.

Showing addicted gamblers support is quite okay but they ought to accept on their own that gambling is not the way to financial breakthrough. If their belief in gambling doesn't change and remains the same, no matter how hard you try to support them, they will find their way back to gambling.

I know how many times, I have tried to show support to gamblers to quit gambling, a repeated attitude of going back to gambling is what I do see.
Yes, the initial desire to overcome addiction has always to come from the addicted individual. It doesn't work to have a vast network of support around the addicted gambler if he himself doesn't care about how important it is for his recovery. That is what brings up a reflexion on why many people who are loved, supported and cared don't value such gifts from life, while others live on loneliness, without anyone caring for them, although they would give their best if they had support and were loved by someone.

It makes me believe support in excess, without the individual supported retributing anything in counterpart, contributes to selfish, egoistical and cold behaviors, not only towards his pairs, but also towards the value of his own life and integrity, as we see such individuals completely destroying their lives through addictive behaviors and showing little or no regrets after all.
