621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What ugly incident or occurrence have you ever experienced in gambling? on: January 14, 2024, 12:32:36 AM
Have you been faced with this kind of gambling problem? If not this particular one, what other annoying incident have you ever experienced in gambling?
I've had a similar problem when playing through one of my old devices, and it's one of the reasons I mostly play through the PC. While I was going through a few slot games to test my luck, the browser app suddenly became unresponsive for several seconds before crashing, and it made me miss out on some free spins that might've given me some profits.

Another bad experience was when I was live betting where I wanted to bet on a live favorite that had 1.8 odds, and after a few seconds, the odds went down to 1.10, which are the odds i've got due to the several seconds delay that you have to deal with when live betting.

The Texans look like they've already booked a meeting with the Ravens, as they're leading by 30+ points against the Browns.  Shocked

For the last wild card match today, i'm taking the Chiefs to cover the spread because I can't trust the Dolphins to be a threat after struggling to score against the Bills last week. They already faced once during the regular season, and the outcome should most likely be the same as long as the Chiefs can have a clean performance.

After Hungary got that unexpected win against Serbia in the Waterpolo tournament, I finally got my first point and the lead. Tongue

I'm looking forward to China's win next in the Asian Cup to widen my lead since hakan and I still have four different answers left.

627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shuffle.com ⚽ 🏈 Sports Betting Contest Discussion | Round 2 live on: January 10, 2024, 12:14:51 AM
Will need to prepare for round 3 as this one is getting too competitive  Tongue

will you be defending your last tittles and hope you lads are aware of round 2 is live as we haven't seen you around with the round coming to a close in less than ~30hours....
I won't defend my spot this round because i've already failed to break even in the previous round, and with how things are becoming more competitive in the current round, i'm most likely going to lose more money even if I could win one of the main prizes.  Cheesy

I doubt anyone will be able to beat you with 55 bets unless someone is waiting for posting in the final minutes.
After what I've experienced in the previous round, someone will surely one-up him unless he has more winners to unload on the final day.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shared games helped you before? on: January 09, 2024, 02:03:33 AM
Just say let me bring this here to see how many of you have been in such situation where you have been trying for long and the day you decided not to try luck the winning will come just like a magic. Have you experience that before?
Putting less effort into my strategy worked in my favor at one point. It only happens when I suddenly have a good amount of luck on my side and go on a crazy winning run that I sometimes can't explain how I pulled it off.

Following someone by trying out the same game they've played helped me a few times, but it's not a good move to do regularly when bad luck could quickly make you regret that decision.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 09, 2024, 12:05:23 AM
I'll also back the Pacers here now that the Celtics won't have one of their key player in the starting lineup and even though the Celtics can still thrive without Tatum, i'll still trust the Pacers to have a better shooting day compared to their previous meeting. Hopefully, none of the Celtics players would suddenly put up a career-high performance only because Tatum is out.  Tongue

630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 08, 2024, 03:51:07 PM
Initially, I would be worried because it's easy for someone to spend more than they can afford and ruin their financial situation. On the other hand, it depends on the way she spends her money on gambling, and i'd say i'm more on the comfortable side, as I used to go with them to buy lottery tickets on certain occasions. Also, my parents are very aware of how destructive gambling can become, and they always try to tell me how one of their acquaintances became addicted to gambling, so I probably don't need to be concerned whenever I see them gamble.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 08, 2024, 05:37:23 AM
Sorry mate, I'm going on the opposite team. I just felt that the Lakers will win tonight and will stop their losing streak. They are struggling, a good win here will again boost their confidence. Pretty sure everyone is thinking that Clippers will easily beat the Lakers, but I did back my old Lebron for their team to win straight up.  Smiley
There's no need to apologize and well done on believing the Lakers.  Wink

The Clippers kept it close despite missing so many shots today, going below 40% in FGs, and I was hoping for a potential OT in the fourth when they went on a small run to tie the game.

The Lakers got their well-deserved win after getting those back to back buckets in the final few minutes.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 08, 2024, 04:46:19 AM
I think that many orgs want to explore Dota 2 that are from other esports like CS2 and LOL. But it is that they've got a limited budgeting on their start and most of them when they don't see good start with the roster they've built, they're too quick to disband it.

On the other hand, Puppey's team - Team Secret have a new roster update. Midone and yamich out while Kordan and ekki in. I have no idea who's this ekki but if he's a young talent, better.
On top of the limited budget, the orgs prefer to pick the SA region because it's cheaper to create a team in that region, and it could be sustainable if they can easily qualify through one of the many third-party tournaments.

Team Secret picking up Ekki and Kordan for their new lineup could be promising. I remember Ekki being an assistant coach for a few teams before, so he already has some experience with what it's like to be at the competitive level.

Tundra bringing Topson back once more is what I didn't expect to see. They still need a carry and mid position to complete their squad for tomorrow's open qualifiers.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 08, 2024, 02:01:19 AM
I already gave a hint on what i'll be betting and that's the Clippers. Regardless of the handicap moving by a few points, i'll still take them due to their underwhelming results and the Clippers don't have anyone missing from their lineup.

Even if the Lakers have most of their players ready to play, i'm still confident with the Clippers extending their win streak and covering the spread.

634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does match fixing concern you often? on: January 08, 2024, 12:40:03 AM
What have your experiences about this been? Is match fixing considered a common occurrence in leagues you place bets at?
I've seen match-fixing cases being revealed in esports once in a while, and even then, it's the least of my worries when I can avoid these occurrences by limiting myself to the most competitive leagues.

On the other hand, it's probably not so healthy to think about match fixing as a gambler that much because there's very little you can do to actually have recourse against it as a mere player, as match fixing is organized at a very high level.
I agree. It's best to get those kinds of thoughts out while betting because assuming a player or team is into match-fixing would only hinder your decision-making skills.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: January 08, 2024, 12:06:27 AM
I mostly place pre-live bets overall because I don't always have the time to watch every match I bet on and with the help of good timing, you can catch some good early and late odds that could give you a slight edge.

My experience with live betting has been volatile and it's easy to lose a significant chunk of your bankroll if you suddenly have a disastrous day.

Virtual sport is an option I don't recommend, even though i've never placed a bet. I've seen others fall for it countless times and lose their money unnecessarily when they can wait the next day and bet on better matches.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 07, 2024, 05:03:42 PM
That was a major blow for them as it prevents them for going any further into the post season.
Tough loss for the Colts to miss the playoffs because of that crucial pass, but at least we get to see the Texans potentially facing the Browns in the wildcard round. Cheesy

My ticket is ready for the Packers to win as they're one of the many teams still needing a win to secure a spot. I'm taking my chances against the Bears, even if they could potentially perform better and bring the Packers down with them.

637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 07, 2024, 06:23:21 AM
I was surprised to see the Wizards making some good runs to come within distance in the 3rd Quarter, but just like they were against te 76ers, the Knicks were quick to quench the fire before it became a wildspread, and closed out the game perfectly.
That early run from the Wizards also surprised me as I tuned back to the live feed to see the Knicks only lead by 6 points after getting 20+ points during the first half.

I'm glad I switched my pick and skipped the Pacers because they also had a trend where they struggled on b2b matches.

I'll probably back the Clippers for tomorrow's game as the odds are great @1.60 and i'm always down to fade the Lakers when they've only had a single home win since last month.

639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 07, 2024, 01:42:43 AM
If that $50 is the only balance I have in my gambling account, i'd most likely pass on that opportunity because I don't have the same luck as the winner, and after checking the replay, it took him/her more than one spin before triggering the jackpot wheel. Instead of spending all of my money in a single spin where my chances of winning are close to none, i'm more inclined to play different casino games where I can have fun and take the chance to spend less money per bet.

I forgot about the doubleheader today and only found out after seeing the Ravens vs. Steelers match went live.  Tongue The Steelers got their win as expected, even though it was a slow game due to the weather.

I got my bet on the Colts to win. Both teams would like to win for their playoff chances, and it made me think the odds should've been set the other way around, given the Colts have the home advantage in this division matchup.
