621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 18, 2016, 06:46:19 PM
watching Google I/O.

65 billion installs from the Google Play app store in the last year. that's a big opportunity for Lisk and developers to disrupt.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 18, 2016, 04:51:21 PM
Anyway.

Crypti whitepaper and Lisk whitepaper have an 80% similarity. It's basically a copy-paste. Run it through a scanner yourself. Lisk brings absolutely nothing new to the table, hence my surprise at the whole ''developers will LOVE lisk'' hype. Show me some genuine enthusiasm for Crypti, then, considering it claimed:

Crypti is the first decentralized application solution written entirely in Node.js. This opens up the
Crypti ecosystem to thousands of current developers with no additional skills necessary. Any
web developer who is already familiar with JavaScript and Node.js can immediately jump in and
begin building decentralized applications from day one

Where are Crypti killer apps? Why is it only 1 cent per Crypti? Why do developers give zero fucks about Crypti? Don't even begin about Lisk having better funding. It has nothing to do with it. Outside developers are not dependent on funding, they will use a platform if it works or ignore it if it has zero added value.

This is one major concern that's never been addressed. All I will get in response is ''don't be mad because you missed out''.

Then what? Just demonstrates that Crypti is underpriced.

whhaaa? it's only been addressed like 5 times by community, and liskhq themselves in this very thread?
they also wrote a blog post weeks ago something along the lines of "the evolution of crypti to lisk"
also they have it on the documentation of the splash screen when you FIRST enter the chat.... With the other documents (ico, escrow, roadmaps, team, etc, so much there)

ok so your  just joinining us now and complaining about something you never even bothered to look into?

NOW WHOS JUST LISTENING TO W.E THEY HEAR?   FACKING SHEEP I TELL YA HAHA

Only a few points, because the clock is ticking:

- Lisk is already much different to Crypti:

Back end: 423 commits, 8 new releases (today comes the 9th), ten thousands of added lines of code, a complete new database layer and so on.

Front end: 490 commits, dozens of translations, a cleaned up user interface, a much easier dapp distribution model, a more secure passphrase system and so on.

- Lisk fixes a lot of critical bugs, security issues and optimisation problems Crypti has.

- Lisk is more popular in terms of community and press coverage than Crypti ever was.

- The distribution of LSK tokens is far better than at Crypti before.

- We have over $6M to spend on development and marketing for many years ahead.

People don't look at the present when they invest, they look into the future. And Lisk bears an enormous potential for the future.

Btw. an updated white paper will come a few weeks after launch.
all good. one observation. when you gain access to the escrowed funds at launch have a strategy to diversify the value. continuing to hold the $6M only in BTC would be unwise.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MYCELIUM CROWDSALE BITCOIN WALLET DISCUSSION THREAD on: May 18, 2016, 04:37:09 PM
I thought about investing in mycelium but the 1 BTC per token is very high..

this one feels much more like a philosophical contribution call. it's not one for the financial investor. there's little prospect of a meaningful return. it just allows Mycelium to say that the wallet is valued by the market at $20 million, which it will leverage later in other business development negotiations.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: May 18, 2016, 04:33:07 PM
It seems like we trolls are causing some problems for those who donated to Elastic project as well as those who are reciving these donations. It was a simple question and most of you decided to ignore it and call me and panda trolls instead of thinking it through and wait for a logical answer from the developers. You guys might think those transactions are normal, I don`t.

if they are not normal transactions what by their abnormal nature do they suggest to you?
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: May 17, 2016, 08:07:16 PM
it seems that this discussion has become academic as private investors have apparently filled the allocation.
Dunno, there are some newbies that pop up here and there doing detective work. TurkistatnRising for example, found out (and posted) that Mycelium's physical address is actually a rent-a-desk service's address on his second post. On the one hand, we've got people claiming to have invested thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin in this and they're shamelessly shilling for Mycelium and on the other hand we get people like TurkistatnRising posting here, doing detective work on Mycelium (seemingly) with no gain on their end. It's weird, but this kind of balances shilling out.

i'm all for digging for the truth. i appreciate the efforts being made.

627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 17, 2016, 07:01:34 PM
However given that around 10% of eth or more is in DAO, this looks open to another interpretation.

If much more that 10% of Eth are collected, I wonder how well eth can function given the block or Eth in relatively small hands....if it get to 20%+ % then what?

I think they will collect 30% of all ETH at the end. Or it could be that ETH will rise in value, then they collect less, but the total amount in $ would be bigger.

Now they have 10% of all ETH and I think thats just one third what they will collect at the end.

The price of ETH will skyrocket to 0.04. That what I see.

if ETH price rockets will it be a race to see who can exit the DAO first?
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: May 17, 2016, 06:02:08 PM
Not strictly an "exit scam" tho. Mycelium explicitly states that its digital tokens give you no rights whatsoever, are basically a gift to Mycelium. How is that misleading?

Where do you get the idea that these tokens give you no rights whatsoever? When buying, you have to sign a contract with Mycelium that has a legal binding. It gives you legal rights to any increase in company valuation, and makes the token a transferable contract that grants you ownership rights to 5% of the company (which would go down if you pull your increased valuation cash out, of course).

From your website, bottom of the page:
"Token is not a security, is not listed, authorized, issued or traded on any regulated market." It's explicitly a token, not a security, because you are not registered with the SEC. "Increase in company valuation" is meaningless if I have no idea who is doing the "valuation," the methadology of this "valuation," or what, for that matter, is exactly being "valuated." From your site again: "The crowdsale offer refers to the Wallet project only," i.e. NOT Mycelium the company.

These are legally SAR contracts and give you all the same rights. It's a contract granting you ownership of a portion of the company, and any growth therein. And why would Mycelium register with the SEC when it's not a US company?
Company valuation is explicitly spelled out in the contract as trigger events, and happens any time another sale of company happens (we plan to sell 20% of dilutable shares next), or when company becomes profitable, or when someone buys out the company. The wallet division is wholly owned by a separate Mycelium entity, which is what is being sold off here. Mycelium the company owns things like Entropy, Gear, Swish, and Card, which are still too early to even know if they are profitable, and will be funded by personal and other private investment. The wallet is being sold in this manner because we believe it is the only product so far that actually has the potential to make money. You are free to invest in the whole company as well, just know that it's extremely risky right now.

why the two jurisdictions?
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: May 17, 2016, 06:00:17 PM
Well, you really don't know where the BTCs that have been donated come from. They might come from illegal activities.
I can see what Lannister's doing: somehow, being in charge with the funds, he might be associated with some tainted BTC. I see no problem in mixing the funds.

but it seems statistically odd that EVERY donation greater in value than 0.5 btc (not a huge sum) went through a mixer BEFORE being donated. that's not a random pattern. that behaviour.

Oh it went through a mixer before not after, sorry, I misunderstood that.
Anyway what's the problem if a creator wants to get a stash in his own project?

is it technically possible to send donations through a mixer to be resubmitted as 'new' coin to an ICO?

and why should you do that?

English modal verbs can be a bit tricky to master
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MYCELIUM CROWDSALE BITCOIN WALLET DISCUSSION THREAD on: May 17, 2016, 05:30:50 PM
I want to buy 1BTC(1MT) but I have sent 1.00089 BTC to 1GoQV8nT4dDy9v3GyoLGAd3ZRuTzfLkLAz ,now I got 0 MT,why? what should I do now?

You should contact them to see if it's a possible error.

Good luck getting a response out of support@mycelium.com

Mycelium has a very active salesman on the other open thread.

all u guys do is have no way to incentive so u make extra "token" that u will dump on users in the end

This isn't a "token" like some altcoin or something. This is an actual stake ownership in the company. We are selling 5% of company ownership (the Wallet division), not just random tokens that don't mean anything.

Not strictly an "exit scam" tho. Mycelium explicitly states that its digital tokens give you no rights whatsoever, are basically a gift to Mycelium. How is that misleading?

The whole thing may be moot by now anyway though, since we set a cap of 7,500, and some private investors may have filled it all up by now. We won't update the final amount on the site until we know we have the money.

"private investors" - when compared to what other kind of investors, in the context of an ICO?

There is one think i am trying to understand, there is a mixer involved for every donation above 0,5btc which makes them very suspicious. Am i missing something here or is it just a coincides?

What do you mean?

Simple enough, all donations above 0,5btc are untraceable due to mixing. Is it just a coincidence? I have a feeling that those donations are made by the project owners. Do i need to be more clear?

to be clear, you are saying that every donation that has been made that is greater in value than 0.5 btc went through a mixer before being donated?

i can''t imagine any serious investor going for this proposition. taking shares in the actual company (and more than a share of just 5%) might be worth considering as an investment in a diversified portfolio of other investments.

our biggest marketplace gatecoin was hacked...
we have to find new or price will go down to 5 dollars shortly

Just come over to bitshares Smiley

(How-to: http://favs.pw/how-to-trade-ethereum-based-mkr-and-dgd/ )

Gatecoin is down due to the hack. is Openledger the only platform trading DGD at this time?

What people say here, pro or against LISK, is going to have exactly Zero Impact on the price.

Why don't people get that?

because they are psychopathic ego maniacs?
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: May 16, 2016, 07:16:06 AM
mycellium will end as scam

Why do you think that? I'm in charge of this wallet project, and I've spent years building a very trustworthy and ethical reputation. That's more valuable to me than any amount of money. Especially considering I'm an ancap who believes that if bitcoin wins over national currencies, without government oversight your reputation will be the most important thing. My hope is that we will have decentralized reputation systems, and everyone who has scammed and got away with it so far will be exposed, and no one would want anything to do with them. This project might fail, of course. There's no guarantee of returns or profit. But considering this is my project that I hope launches Mycelium to the top and gets me recognition, it won't be failing from a lack of me trying.

Alanis I remember that Barcode scanner. Saw it at CompUSA once.

Reading that reply just made me even more excited about the project Smiley awesome. I wish I could get involved more in the project somehow than just this..

always try to reflect on how something you read makes you feel, especially in the world of investing.
