621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 07, 2020, 09:26:31 AM
Yes, when Davis hit that 3, you can see Bron's expression, he knows that they have won the game, and then he block Butler for insurance and not him score. It's not an easy and comfortable win, as Miami really fought very hard and even had the lead at some point. It's gonna be 4-1 again for the Lakers next game.

Great game but I hope they could stretch the series one more game.

LA Lakers is great and I don't think it would end that easy at game 5 since it is either they would let Miami Heat win or Miami force to win another one. Miami did great within the bubble and for sure they will be better in the next season. I don't have proof of what I am saying but I guess Bronny will be asking Miami for the series to get longer  Grin
622  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guys avoid panic sell... on: October 07, 2020, 07:29:37 AM
This is not only useful during this pandemic but always. Whenever market is making correction, just hold and don't sl cheap.

That is why it is better to hold Bitcoin for a long time.

There are a lot of changes every day and if you can't hold your emotions, you will grow paranoid about it. Trust the process as you can all see the price chart making progressions through time.
623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Small dip in BTC price after Trump stimulus tweet on: October 07, 2020, 01:46:26 AM
Most likely whales trying to use this news to sell a load of coins in the hope weak hands & noobs panic & sell too.
Quite embarrassing behaviour if so, I don’t see why the market should care if Americans aren’t getting more free money imminently.
Indeed, whales are moving on every US news and this statement of Trump should not affect bitcoin directly but since people created panic to make bitcoin more cheap, this news becomes a big deal for cryptomarket. I wonder how this tweet affects the presidential campaign of Trump, looks like he’s on a recovery mode.

I don't care what they say.

All I know is that whether the price of Bitcoin fell or rise, it is both favorable for most of us. People will reinvest, people will sell, at the end of the day that price will just go back to the way it was. This movements is a bit annoying since someone is making these statements that have an effect to people but as far as I know, this community is thick and strong.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin so unstable? on: October 07, 2020, 01:01:26 AM
Volatility of bitcoin is the best feature of it. That's why many people want to invest in bitcoin to earn much bigger than a gold in just one night if they are lucky. But Gold is a safe investment compared to bitcoin that you can earn big but if you don't have knowledge about it you will also loss big.

I'd still pick Bitcoin over Gold though.

Gold doesn't have the volatility Bitcoin has, with the recent changes I could take advantage of that and use that time to sell, reinvest, or trade to other cryptocurrencies. But as you said, if you don't have knowledge about it, you will be screwed. We are also taking big risks by investing in Bitcoin, that goes with other investments or assets as well.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin watch on: October 06, 2020, 12:22:34 PM
I'm fine with what I have.

I don't need a watch that has a QR code of my Bitcoin address and costs $17M. I could just by my own ledger and put the rest of my $17M worth of other cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: October 06, 2020, 10:33:25 AM
In terms of liquidity and value, Bitcoin satisfies the conditions of becoming a global currency. But in terms of technical factors besides security, Bitcoin has a slower transaction speed and is not as good for continuous payments as other means of payment. Bitcoin needs to be technically improved in terms of speed and transaction costs.

Liquidity? I don't think so.

Maybe you are in a country where people are exposed to using cryptocurrencies, mainly Bitcoin but it is not always the case. The main reason Bitcoin is not ready to be a "worldwide number one currency" is the acceptability of it. The adoption is slow and people still thinks it is a scam. With low acceptability, means it is not that liquid too.
627  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 06, 2020, 09:50:23 AM
There are a lot of people that experienced that.

The worst thing about other people though is that most of them don't have any jobs to go to so they are forced to do things that they usually don't do for example doing online selling like my mutual friend. Some are even introduced to this new way of investing, if you know, IWE which I am not familiar with and how they earn is somehow fishy to me.

People invest their money, wait for a month, or how much they wanted to earn since if you wait a full month you could get three times that money you've invested. My friend's girlfriend is getting some cashouts there, anyone from the Philippines that could explain this to me? I am not saying that it is a scam but I just wanted to know how it works or where their money is going and coming from. A lot of people are investing there now since it is an easy way to earn money especially that they needed it this pandemic.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: October 06, 2020, 08:48:54 AM

But Luck is the most important part right?even how Good your mind is but luck wasn't on your side still you will lose.
Nit like if you are lucky even you are not thinking yet the chance of winning is yours.
But that is best way to gamble,Be knowledgeable, wise and be lucky.

Though there is a problem there.

It is true that luck might be one of the ingredients needed for someone to win in a betting or in a lottery but there is a catch. We don't actually know whether we are lucky or not, if it is shortlived or not. We can't actually rely or depend on that so as gamblers, we just rely on what we can and do things we can in order to have fun and win.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 06, 2020, 07:12:17 AM
There are things that you can do to prevent falling into spiral with gambling in the first place.  The hardest one that I can think of is self-awareness, what I mean by that is fully acknowledging yourself, even the bad traits you have should be acknowledge because the longer you deny it, it will become a pent up emotion that will burst out of proportions. If you think that you can get obsessed with things then you can prevent yourself from falling out. This is just one of the measures that can help you prevent being introduced to gambling, like a cliche, prevention is better than cure.

So true.

With yourself on the check, I don't think we should even think about being addicted. I think the best way for you not to be addicted to gambling is if you could control yourself. You could be aware of where you are falling but sometimes, there are people that couldn't control their urge to gamble that is why they still fall addicted to gambling. If you are in control, you don't have any problem.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 06, 2020, 05:14:15 AM
I thought Lakers would sweep the Heat for 4-0 but seems the heat was able to beat them up i was looking for 4-3 fight here I wanted to see more games between this two teams. I just hope I would be able to predict right so I would win some amount on the next game.

Miami Heat is in the Finals because they can play.

I also thought that this series will be an overwhelming win of the LA Lakers but seeing how Jimmy could perform like this, they could stretch the series to game 6. Heat did well but I don't think this would continue if the other team could adjust and adapt to what happened the last game. AD is having a bad game also with fouls on his hands.
631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think will be the top cryptocurrencies in 2021 on: October 06, 2020, 04:07:06 AM
I only know 3 of them.

The cryptocurrencies I am holding are not that great but I am confident that they could increase more in the next months or maybe the next years. Obviously, it starts with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, Dogecoin, and other cryptos in between.
632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: October 04, 2020, 11:56:12 AM
~
As a newbie in trading, I really trade by my self, i do it only by observing, studying situations, and not having discussions with anyone.  What I have learned is that trading by your self will provide a greater risk of loss.  Because I feel more losses than profits during trading by my self. Haha idk where's my wrong, but i think because i never discuss with others who have experienced

That is your mistake.

You don't need to shoulder trading by yourself, it is not that wrong to open sometimes to other people especially in this forum since there are a lot of people that are willing to help you here. You should tell what you are doing so people could point out the mistakes you are doing. Losses is normal but you could reduce that risks you are taking and it is like you are doubling that up since you are inexperienced.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illiteracy due to online exchanges on: October 04, 2020, 11:10:42 AM
I think we don't need to blame them about it?

As long as they are getting the Bitcoin being used and paid by the users to certain platforms through their exchanges, they are fine. The exchange here in our country just add more and more promos but don't add more platforms or stores where people could use their Bitcoin to pay. They are just converting them to fiat to start with so it doesn't matter.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mediocre/People. on: October 04, 2020, 08:56:29 AM
That is so good of you to think like that.

Most of the people I know would not care and ask me why should we make them comfortable using Bitcoin since we did like using it despite it being "uncomfortable". I am also one of those since they are the ones who taught me about it and I end up finding my own sources of information about it, usually, it is this forum. If they really liked using it, they will find a way. Don't point where they should go, let them explore it.
It is better for them to go to the forum here than for others who may get the wrong information.  This is also the only place where I learned almost everything I learned about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.  Yes, I also try to explore outside of this forum.  But the discussions here are really different that you can understand because of the guidance and assistance of the members.  It is also okay to do self-study but it is also difficult because sometimes it is difficult to understand complex things.

I have a friend who even though he knows how to use a smartphone, he still really does not know something like securing his accounts especially the e-wallet app and its importance.  I just remember that if he still does not have enough knowledge in such a thing, what if I immediately share with him this world I have.  So whatever we know we will also share with them so that we can also help and of course they will also be aware because I know it is only right that they should be given knowledge as well.

That's what I am trying to say.

This forum is one of the first sources of knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as well. I don't have that much knowledge about wallets and all that I am just using an wallet from exchange in the past since I am scared to use other wallets. Exploring this forum, I learned that there are a lot of ways for me to store my cryptos and take care of them.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: Mathematics and economy on: October 04, 2020, 08:33:17 AM
On the internet I did not find anything related to the Olympics of mathematics and economics. Whereas I did find an article about the iPhone factories in China that are back to normal due to the pandemic as of May 15th. In these factories they advertise that there is a great production but a frail economy as we naturally expect it. I also agree that human resources are valuable in Asia.

As far as know, it is like a competition in math, here in our country we used to call it Math Olympiad.

With the current situation that we are in, despite the reopening of these factories, consumers are still on the verge of dying. People are now buying a lot of things and I don't think it would be that easy for them to buy these technologies as they won't use it that much. If they do, let's say for online classes, I think people would buy the cheaper ones.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Stocks fall down due to trump catching the virus on: October 04, 2020, 07:16:00 AM
I heard the news but I don't any corellation in these two.

It is true that the price fell but I don't think that the reason of it is that President Trump and the first lady is tested positive of the virus. I think this is just a coincidence and it is well timed with this news.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 04, 2020, 05:34:39 AM
I don't think it is rigged but I guess there are manipulations going on.

There are a lot of fans of this game and pumping them for a game they wanted to happen is a great thing since that would mean money for the association. If there is an advantage when it comes to betting, I guess the whales who are actually betting are the ones in the advantage and I guess they are also the reason there are manipulation happening behind the courts.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 04, 2020, 03:11:29 AM
I love skill based games more than games which are purely and totally dependent on the players' luck because skill based games provide more advantage to the players than luck gives.

I like total skill based games though like chess or 8 Ball pool, but games which are luck+skill like rummy, and sometimes blackjack, are fun too. Overall, if there's skill involved, I love to play those games as it feels like I'm controlling the game Tongue
Most users prefer the skill based games, but the opportunity available around the gambling sites is very low. Some gambling site should take initiative to run competition. This way more people can be made to get interested to play skill based games. The same when played between players it'll surely gets more popularity.

Usually those people that chooses luck-based games are there for fun.

In terms of running a competition, they would be having doubts about that since we all know we are still in the effect of the pandemic and people are still scared of going outside. Online competitions might be hard and if we will be talking about the past, there are poker tournaments happening with a huge amount of pot money as a prize.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 04, 2020, 01:38:46 AM
We would really much prefer to see a longer Finals game rather than finishing it off on Game 4 but well they had faced up a very strong team which is Lakers.

Lots of us had really expect that this would be a good fight basing on what Miami Heat did in the East conference but it seems it isnt really that effective towards in the finals.

At least they do had set their foot into the final stage and maybe on next season they would really be patching up on whats lacking on them.I already saw that this might be the end for them
if LA will win or get that game 3.
Nah, the rookie players that I am expecting to make a good chance of Miami to win the match does not really helpful or probably they need more experience in playing a championship game. It seems like that butler is the only key now to make a win against the lakers but this is not enough to make them win. Lakers had a very strong line up by height and performance. Miami are too small and can't even match the height and even their defense is too weak where many chance lakers could make a 3 point game outside. Their inside ring players too are very weak it can't match up with Howard and AD. So I guess this game will be over in game 4. Unless lakers will give them at least one game for them to win.

If you are talking about Tyler Herro, you are not alone, I was also a bit disappointment with his performance. I thought the can bring his energy and make a big impact specially from the outside. But it looks like the Lakers has scouted him, and are ready to put a good defense on him, like what Alex Caruso did in Game 1.

TBH, I am not expecting something from him.

He's been doing the best he can against great players and he's living on the epectations of the team he needs to do but let's not forget that he is still a rookie. He still need his team's support because he can't be always as impactful as he is in the past games especially this game is different than the other games, this is the finals, the pressure is there.
640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reach to $100K ? on: October 03, 2020, 01:07:00 PM
The current circumstance of bitcoin is too terrible it's battling to reach $10k to $11k and afterward it begin tumbling down.
It's difficult to reach on such a rate however its certainly feasible since its decentralized and it can go up any occasion.
We need more clients to involve bitcoin in light of the fact that the more we get clients more the graceful increment which profoundly influences bitcoin cost and market.

It needs more time and more people.

It is true that reaching that price is not impossible but we still need a lot of things and that is mainly people using Bitcoin. Adoption is still not that high and there are still a lot of people thinking that this is all just a bubble and a scam. In the near future where digital currencies are not new anymore, I think we will be seeing a surge in users and the price too.
