Since I am a news trader or a fundamental analyst I do go to sub reddit of most of the coins I am holding and read latest comments posted there and tried to re- aline my trading decision along that line. I have not seriously trying to get news from bitcointalk forum as most comments here are speculative in nature and having trying to used them in trading decisions has not being adding up.
I completely agree with you about the nature of the comments on the forums and what they are aimed at. I think that if you pay attention to them, then you can not achieve results with trading. |

Yes it is possible but it will take more time for altcoins to reach bitcoins value and it was nearly impossible because the growth of bitcoins is massive while the number one altcoin which is ethereum is very slow to grow its value.

Ofcourse i do. Buying / holding / trading altcoins are still the best way to increase your btc balance. And do not forget that usdt is also an altcoin. So whenever we trade BTC/USDT also buying altcoin. Altcoins are one of the main part of this ecosystem.

It's still good for USD based price but it lost so much value against BTC. If you hold at GUP you also missed BTC and ETH rallies, so we can say that loss from profit for this situation. If I didn't sell my GUP on time I would be very pissed. Qtum partnership didn't benefit anything for GUP yet.

For me the best altcoin was still etherium. Its still the altcoin that has a potential to be the next bitcoin. We can say that by observing the price movement of ethereum. There is no major changes but little by little it improve. And I thinks that enough indication to trust ethereum andd invest to it incoming 2018. In comparison with bitcoin, eth very finely floats. Of course it's good if it lasts at the level when the price will rise by 30%, but if we talk about cleanliness, then this is not an indicator. I choose by simpler and more active.
