Hi guys, I haven't heard about a date of an "official" release of BarterDex, like in a stabilised version, directly downloadable from the BD website. What do you plan about it ?  What is the best version of BarterDEX to download? |

DecentralizeEconomics and Greg are certainly working on the details of the swapp and putting the new website online, so it is not easy to code a new blockchain.Be patient.

less than 70,000 BTCD left in the wild, I estimate 50,000 are lost, so likely only 20,000 or so
bummer, wish I'd kept 1 BTCD as a souvenir you can still buy some on Bittrex  can't use bittrex any more, they froze my account (with funds inside) coz I wont upload a kyc selfie |

So is this project now dead? The website seems to be down and no exchanges trading amymore.  Qora is a crypto cockroach, nothing can kill it, not even lack of exchange |

not really sure about this etherdealta is also dex but it got hacked no extra security it only use the wallet public address to log on
afaik Etherdelta has their DNS messed with, so more like a phishing attack got users funds. BarterDEX runs locally as an installed application. |

Really hope CBX gets traded on jl777's decentralised BarterDEX, it's about to blow up big time, they just announced they're close to adding atomic swaps between Komodo & ETH, and Komodo & Erc20 tokens, they call it 'Etomic'. Once that takes off BarterDEX will become a major decentralised atomic swap exchange. They're even using SPV servers now so you don't even have to download the full blockchains to do atomic swaps.
CBX has got to get on BarterDEX guys!!
Honestly i would agree. i have been following the updates from KMD platform/ supernet team. they are doing some nice work out there. For now still under the radar. Excuse my ignorance, I wonder how those decentralized exchanges are going to work? I know this is becoming a hot topic after all those KYC verifications are being forced everywhere, and there are several decentralized exchanges existing already, but I never used any, and dont yet understand how they are going to execute trades, if they don't hold the private keys? The taker side is clear, but what about maker side? If I pur an order, which cannot be executed instantly, then I close the browser, how do they executw the trade and take funds when someone wants to buy my order..? Sorry for possible offtopic, would appreciate if somebody could explain this in couple of words... BarterDEX uses 'atomic swaps', so using timelock & multisig, trades happen directly from one blockchain to the other, so the BarterDEX never has your keys or coins. It's fantastic tech, and because they setup SPV servers like electrum, you can do atomic swaps between coins without having to download the full blockchains, but you can if you prefer too. My attitude is if I trust Komodo/SuperNET to buy KMD and SN assets, then I would trust proxy ETH/XMR/ERC20 tokens issued by Komodo/SuperNET to the same degree, which is infinitely higher than either bittrex and poloniex, especially after they've gotten so hairy chested demanding KYC selfies with piddley withdrawal limits etc
I can't trade ETH/XMR anymore now that bittrex/poloniex have become unusable.
+1 No way am I uploading my KYC details to any exchange for crypto::crypto trading, not going to risk a rogue employee selling my details to gangsters who come and find me, rape my wife in front of me, then threaten to kill both of us if I don't pass over my keys. If you hand over your IRL details then you're a target for Pavel Lerner treatment if you've done well out of this bull run. I KYC'd to one exchange only for fiat exit point, and only using an old address. I don't mind paying my taxes, but I'm not stupid enough to risk getting robbed by balaclava clad thugs with a contacts at bittrex and poloniex. I'll only trade anonymously, so it's chinese exchanges from here on, so proxy tokens on barterDEX is a great idea! Couldn't agree more! I stay anonymous to avoid crimes against me, not to commit them! |

Agama can support any Bitcoin compatible. That means dash, litecoin, zcash, and so forth. To see other tokens, you can launch Agama, click settings, and toggle experimental features. Close the wallet fully, relaunch and you will see the other coins on lite mode. You don't even have to download the full blockchain anymore since we have lite wallets for all of them.
XMR could be supported in the future. We are open to collaboration with non-bitcoin compatibles to add their tokens.
BarterDEX is a complex beast and our priority is to have a stable wallet for Komodo users. Integration with BDEX will come at a later date.
I know BarterDEX is focused on atomic swaps which I absolutely love, but has any thought been given to adding some proxy tokens for other non-bitcoin compatible coins, even as a temporary measure? The community has many trusted individuals, and while not as risk free as atomic swaps, having the ability to trade ETH, XMR, ERC20 tokens etc via some gateway proxy tokens would still be better than traditional exchanges, and it would make BarterDEX the industry go-to exchange in a matter of months. If a trusted person issued some major non-bitcoin compatible proxy tokens as an asset chain I think they would be popular. Just an idea, maybe keeping BarterDEX proxy token free and atomic swap only is a good selling point, but lack of other tokens is a worry for me. indeed that would be a stopgap solution that would allow support for a proxy token for proxy tokens... Is it normal for transactions to cryptopia wallet to get delayed? I can see my balance in hush explorer but its still not appearing on my cryptopia account.
cryptopia wallet is playing up, when I try to withdraw to my regular wallet I get 'invalid HUSH address' error, but I have withdrawn to that address many times before .... |
