6201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: freebitco.in "Browser Mining" - is it worth it? on: October 01, 2017, 09:29:45 AM
I think it will have some impact on your PC performance in the long run if you mine every day. Also what people earn money from this mining is very little and it may be worth to put your PC at risk. I don't know how one can calculate whether what they are getting is 100% of what they mine or after deduction. Is there any way we can crosscheck that part?

What is that based on? What makes you think that doing processing will in any way damage a processor? Could you cite some evidence of where that has ever been observed? Processors have an operating temperature range and systems in place to make sure they don't exceed that. The result is that processor will happily function at 100% utilisation 24/7 for many years after they have been made obsolete by newer equipment.

Secondly, if you don't want to believe the site owners when they say that I guess nothing they could produce would convince you. If you're that sceptical then I guess there aren't many services you would use.

Innovation? No it isnt this just an another shitty dice site as being said on the title which like others said here this is just the same on 999dice back in the past. I dont know whats the motive on creating an obvious gambling site which would tend to scam. This dice site would really make you poor Cheesy

I'm still longing for the day when there is an internationally recognised sarcasm font.

6203  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: October 01, 2017, 09:14:03 AM
Its not much risky to invest in bitcoin.  Only the thing is you have to confirm the market condition of bitcoin.  If prices are less then buy it. N if the are increasing then sale it out.  Its the different strategy you have to be careful about it.

Of course it is risky. You just have to look at the volatility of the price to see that the potential to make losses if you time it wrong as much larger than most other assets you could invest in. The other side of risk is reward and the potential gains of investing in Bitcoin reflect the risk involved. It's not possible to find a risk-free investment and the greater the potential gain the greater the risk.

How did I miss this exciting innovation? Just out of curiosity as to how successful your marketing strategy is, can you tell us what the turnover is?
6205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very early adopters (early 2009) and how much they made on: October 01, 2017, 08:59:08 AM
The thing I'm always curious about this is how many of those that were solo mining on PC back in 2009/10 when the price was a few cents have still got the coins they mined. It would have been so tempting to sell them when the price reached $10 or $100 or even $1000. How many are still holding?

Thanks again for the free coin, I got lucky with some BTC this time.

There seems to be a lot of confusion how Activity Points work.
I was reading through the last sites, but I have not found a definite explanation of AP.
Did I just miss it? If yes, could someone link me to it?

Greetings!  Smiley

activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Time is a number of 2 week periods in which you have posted at least ONCE. Even if your account was from 2013 it doesn't mean that it can have a few hundred of activity points. Posting over time is more important than making a lot of posts in a one period. Activity is updated every hour so be patient and don't write thousand posts why your activity didn't change.

Yeah, that's easy to get, however, I got to 28 AP pretty fast (Some other users were mentioning this aswell) and now it appears I am stuck at 28 (for a few days now).

That's because this two-week period started this Wednesday. So if you started just before the previous period ended you could get to 28 in just over two weeks. Now it's not possible for you to increase activity again until the next period, Wednesday after next.
6208  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 30, 2017, 09:54:17 AM
I disagree. A good time to invest is after some huge bankroll dump. As there is a big chance the winner keeps playing (eventually loosing all he won).
On the other hand there is also chance he's going to keep winning and withdraw his funds ... so nothing is 100% sure. In addition some casinos like crypto-games charges divest fee for short time investors ( to avoid such speculators ).

I don't think you should look at investing in a casino with such a short-term view. Just as you said there is no guarantee that high roller will not just withdraw his winning and never come back. I would want to give an investment a minimum of several months to return anything worthwhile. Trying to time on when someone's had a winning streak isn't really anything more than taking a gamble.

6209  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: freebitco.in "Browser Mining" - is it worth it? on: September 30, 2017, 08:36:12 AM
You can use Nicehash to do the same and I can bet you ll get much better results. Still, CPU mining s been dead for a long, long time. There s no way you can make anything here unless you have completely free electricity.

No, it's mining XMR which is a CPU mined coin. It turns a profit with most modern desktops. I've tested it and calculated the figures rather than just assuming.

I do not think this is worth it because it will cause to harm your computer, CPU mining for me is not profitable specially it consume lots of electricity and if you are in the country which the rate of electricity was too high do not try this and if you really want freebitco.in just claim only in their faucet and not to mine. I try this in just one day but I only get small satoshi which is very far on my expected satoshi to receive but if users really want it just go and take the risk but still for me it’s not recommended.

I think browser mining will harm the computer hardware. It needs a specialized hardware for mining and also they are giving a very low amount to the people who are mining through the browser. I am not getting one thing clear how can a company pay 100% through browser mining to the participants who are doing browser mining.

No, it won't harm your computer. Processors are quite good at processing without hurting themselves. They have safety features to reduce the frequency when they near their temperature limit and cutout if that doesn't work.
Mining XMR and exchanging it for BTC is profitable and freebitco.in are passing on all profits to their customers, it's a bit of a gimmick to get more people using the site, but hey why not?

6210  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: September 29, 2017, 03:23:21 PM
Mining has stopped for me - both on my laptop and phone. Everyone else still mining?

It has stopped for me as well. I can access the page but when I click on "start mining" it does nothing.

If you're using Windows then Microsoft added it to Windows Defender yesterday so that might be what is causing your problem.
6211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: freebitco.in "Browser Mining" - is it worth it? on: September 29, 2017, 02:46:17 PM
Guys, basically what they mine is monero. And after taking a percentage of  profit they pay the rest to you in btc. Nowadays many faucet sites started to do this. Why you want to give a percentage of mining to freebitco admin. If you want to mine, use the minergate software and do the mining. The whole profit will be yours. Or you can use tomos81 application to mine . Here is the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2078056.msg20765204#msg20765204

I'm not sure where you got this information from but it is wrong and the guy running Minergate is taking 0.5%.

Just to clarify some points that have been made here:

1). Your browser is mining monero and we are auto-converting it into bitcoin at the current prices
2). We are giving 100% of what we make back to users, we are taking a 0% cut.
3). The mining is completely optional, we are not running the miner automatically or forcing anyone to use it. If you feel it is profitable for you, then use it. If not, then don't.

If there is enough interest, I might try to reverse-engineer the miner so that we can keep 100% of the revenue and share all of it with the users. We do not expect to make any profit for this, it's only an additional revenue stream for faucet users.
6212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My silly little system on: September 29, 2017, 12:45:51 PM
Don't worry about backtesting software. Just go back through the charts, say 2 years, then work out where your system would have bought and sold and how that would have worked out. That'll be the first indication as to if you're onto something or not.
6213  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★☆★777Coin★☆★ - ✔ Full Range of Games! ✔ Instant Withdraw! ✔ Progressive Jackpot on: September 29, 2017, 12:15:55 PM
I don't think thats it. The reason why dice is the most popular compared to Roulette or Slots is mostly because of the very low house edge. The house edge is higher in Roulette and even higher in Slots.

So it makes absolutely no sense to play Roulette when you can simply set your specific bets (like bet for Red/Black, or for a specific number) just by setting a different win ratio.

Same with slots. Unless you like the animation, its not very practical because the house edge is very high. Even in physical casinos, the slots always have high house edge.

It really depends on what sort of gambler you are. If you are just interested in winning or losing then yes a lower house edge will mean you will most likely play dice. If you gamble for entertainment, then a game like roulette lets you set different layouts covering areas and numbers, doing that and seeing if they come in is the fun of it. The house edge will, of course, beat both gamblers in the end, but I'd rather enjoy playing.

6214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My silly little system on: September 29, 2017, 12:02:20 PM
It's not a system I've heard of before so you may be the first. When devising trading systems the first thing to do is backtest them. You have access to all the historical trade price data so go back and see how your system would have performed. If it shows it would have made a profit that is at least a good start but not a guarantee that it will continue to work in the future as market conditions can and do change. Also, one other thing to watch out for is curve fitting. That's when you make amendments to the system so that the backtesting shows it would be profitable but really you're not going to have much chance in the future with a system that is pretty much made to work on one specific set of data.
6215  Economy / Economics / Re: List of banks Rothschild family own`s on: September 29, 2017, 10:40:29 AM
Rothschild took all the gold and increased the use of paper money. Governments depend upon them for money and they own almost all the central banks of the world. It is not like these countries have much of a choice. If someone denies coming under its control, a war will be broken out against that country by America. I don't remember so well, but it was Iran or Oraq that denied the offer and a war is being planned against them. Nazi, Rothschild and three other families are pulling the strings.

This an age-old antisemitic trope. It was made up by racists 200 years ago after the Battle of Waterloo. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/the-rothschild-libel-why-has-it-taken-200-years-for-an-anti-semitic-slur-that-emerged-from-the-10216101.html

Funny how the OP missed the one bank they actually do own, N M Rothschild & Sons Limited.
6216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much risk in cryptocoin investement? on: September 29, 2017, 09:19:47 AM
There is a relatively high risk in cryptocurrency investments compared to many other asset classes. This is always the case when the potential returns are higher. There isn't much risk involved in buying US treasury bonds but then they will not return much either, investment in stocks that are low risk such as utility companies are unlikely to bust but they won't go up much either. The other side of that is buyers of Greek bonds when it looked like they would default are now sitting on a nice profit, buyers of tech startups that succeeded are very happy now, but either of those investments could easily have become worthless. Crypto sits in the second of those two categories.

6218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: About Bitcoin Cash? on: September 29, 2017, 04:49:51 AM
I haven't seen much sign that BCH is being adopted and used widely so I don't really see where demand is going to come from. It's still very early but something needs to happen to make this coin justify it's current price in relation to BTC let alone increase beyond it.
6219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Betstreak - █☆☆☆First Licensed Blockchain Casino☆☆☆█ ICO DELAYED on: September 29, 2017, 03:14:03 AM
But why is it delayed?

Read the notice, that's what the 1st paragraph tells you. It does seem rather late in the day to just be consulting regulators now after you have started taking funds in presales. Time will tell whether or not the commitment to refund those who participated so far is honoured.
6220  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: September 29, 2017, 02:58:09 AM
That is correct reaching 0.01BTC by CPU mining don't know how many days it takes. As of now, freebitco has removed mining option for everyone. Maybe they coming up with better version of mining options after getting some initial feedbacks.

It's not been removed they just put the link in a different place.
