6202  Economy / Services / Re: E-Coin November Signature Campaign[Upto 0.2 per month] + Best Poster Bonus[Full] on: November 19, 2015, 02:11:30 AM
Doc sheet updated! Lemme know if there is any error/issue

A minor account error the current post count is off for my spot in the spreadsheet.
It still shows up in the google doc as 3305, I assuming that it was updated when I was offline so it should be at 3342/3343 depending on how this post is counted towards the current post count.
6203  Economy / Economics / Re: Is There Fake Trading Volume On Bitstamp? on: November 18, 2015, 10:17:22 AM
My opinions is that Bitstamp is faking some of their trade volume it only takes a few looks into the Wall Street Observer thread over the last few days to see Chartbuddy recording very small spreads of a penny on an hourly basis.
If their is commissions involved then it would make sense for someone to do that as well either way it is suspicious.
6204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody getting the 21 bitcoin computer? on: November 18, 2015, 10:04:35 AM

Why are some people still calling it a "dev kit"?  What the hell is a "bitcoin dev kit"?  heh, that doesn't even make sense.

It's just some marketers hoping to target the "hipster" wanna-be developers, and make them feel cool by wasting $400 on a device that has absolutely zero use.

The software definitely has use, did you even read about it or are you pretending it is a node + mining chip and that is it?

In another thread in Hardware someone is memory dumping to let us see what it looks like.
If your interested go check it out.
6205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taiwan Financial Regulator Says Bitcoin Isn't Banned on: November 18, 2015, 09:59:26 AM
In a new statement, Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) – its top banking, insurance and securities regulator – has indicated its stance on bitcoin remains neutral despite recent speculation it was moving toward more restrictive policies.

Article : http://www.coindesk.com/taiwan-finance-regulation-bitcoin-ban/
Good to know that it's not actually banned as we read before because the kidnap of that billionaire few weeks ago .

So some people made up more FUD and the source that was a Taiwan web site was just bull
Thanks for clearing that up finding a lack of confirmation in mainstream media besides the Bitcoin related newsfeeds was making me skeptical about this.
6206  Other / Off-topic / Re: [POLL] Bestiality on: November 18, 2015, 09:44:39 AM
scary ?

The dog with breasts creeps me out maybe I should have said creepy but there is more than one form of horror in the world.

(That video you described is scary, sounds like a Snuff film to me would not know where to find it and would not want to)
(The next one about the Japanese Cannibal is a documentary Ok I do want to watch that if you have a link that's messed up enough for me to just need to see a bit, like Scanners only without the head exploding.)

We promised some time ago to organize an original LuckyBit Happy Hour tm once we will reach 1000 likes on Facebook. (We didn't want to cheat and have been regularly removing suspicious ones).
You've been waiting for it...
and you've been waiting longer...
and longer...
and then a bit more.

---> A double Happy Hour is coming soon near you <---

Congrats on finally getting the 1000 Facebook likes it was slowly getting there and then Likes would get erased and then it would get there again Smiley
At long last it has occurred.

6209  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the fact that ISIS use bitcoin ruin bitcoin? on: November 18, 2015, 06:48:18 AM
they must buy first, this mean that they will help the market , unless they want to dump at lower price, which is stupid

and i doubt they are mining...

Actually in some of the places ISIS control they do tend to run the utilities as well as all the other services, that said I'm not sure if a Geographic flag would show up where a Bitcoin miner is minting coins if you join a mining pool so that would be speculation on my part.
It is an interesting question.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/17/world/middleeast/offering-services-isis-ensconces-itself-in-seized-territories.html?_r=0

it must ne amsall mining facility because it does not show up even among the biggest pool out there

they earning is very small if this is true

Well it would be possible to denote a flag of another country through a proxy
The only way that would ever change is if there was a problem with the proxy for some time and people looked it up and noticed either way I doubt ISIS is a large scale Bitcoin miner too much traffic monitoring in my opinion and there's better ways for them to extort money than that.

It is in fact already on the news, just saw this:

image screen

As expected, it was a matter of time that media would start reporting on Bitcoin being used to finance the terrorist attacks. If it's true or not it's another story, I don't think they know for a fact, they are just speculating.

Well I heard that something similar was on CTV/CBC yesterday but didn't see it myself and ya FUD is a pain in the arse, people need to have better info than people just thinking it is a future threat and not a useful tool.
6210  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Western Forces in Middle East on: November 18, 2015, 06:34:02 AM
If your trying to create peace in the Middle East
(NO you'll only make it worse killing the dictators there they are what creates meta-stability in that chaotic environment destroying them creates a serious power vacuum where more radical elements moderated by these dictators can now thrive in)

A lot of the dictators there are in power because of the support of the west. And because the west killed or helped them kill the moderate forces. And topple democratic movements in several countries. Peace in the middle east is possible if we let it happen. But that would interfere with the west trying to control the world.

Not at all in fact US policy is to have those dictators destroyed not supported, if you were to compare strategy it would be similar to putting up Puppet Governments in Latin America in the 1970's like Pinochet to keep them under a tight leash instead of uncontrolled elements like the Dictators in the Middle East unfortunately they discovered they were far less worse than the Extremists.

Lets look at Libya the richest African Nation prior to their revolution with a solid infrastructure system and large projects like the Great Man Made River which would address Libya's water problems for decades to come, it was peaceful if tense under that dictatorship and the relationships between feuding parties under Gadaffi were under control now we just see a mess as the moderate elements were wiped out and ISIL came into the power vacuum (Islamic State of Libya), I'll concede Gadaffi funded terrorism as a way to keep the element in check and stabilize the country but we can see that compared to the funding they can acquire now and the land they gained that was a pittance to keep the region in check.

Russia is supporting Syria and Basshar Al Assad the West is trying to wipe him out and remove any role he has in Syria despite the problem that is ISIS putting him as an even greater threat priority wise, while he is a dictator and crazy his dictatorship kept Syria stable the power vacuum that has emerged is completely due to US intervention that allowed them to gain territory (Islamic State of Syria) were a major part of the Rebel elements the US gave weapons to in the Arab Spring.

Iraq - As everyone knows now had no Weapons of Mass Destruction but it was used as a major reason to invade the country and destroy Saddam Hussein along with 9/11. Prior to that historically there was the Shah but they haven't really had much influence their since the Iranian revolution of 1979.

Iran - Under Obama trying to make a partner there and peacefully disarm nukes then do a Gadaffi in the future, under other governments particularly Bush trying to destroy the country economically through boycotts, starving the people and sabotaging their nuclear abilities to keep Israel as the only Middle-Eastern Nuclear/Non Nuclear power.

6211  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cute cuddily Bitcoin symbol sweater needs feedback. on: November 18, 2015, 06:11:17 AM
Not quite sure what sort of feedback your interested in but I'll leave a few notes since you asked

The handmade aspect shows originality and tradition, it looks warm that's for sure and comfy made with some love.
Design wise it is simple with a nice Bitcoin symbol on the center, perhaps sewing a pocket to it would make it convenient for  user who has a mobile phone to carry stuff around although the sweater does seem like it would be a fairly comfy pair of pajamas although it might be a bit hot so that is just an opinion.
6212  Other / New forum software / Re: I Suggest in Forum Chat Box and Simple Games Section on: November 17, 2015, 01:43:53 PM
- Chat Box
No it would be prone to abuse and with the amount of users there would need to be various subsections and constant moderation even with Activity limits it still would be a challenge to regulate it unless directly linked to forum accounts which would require more coding.

-Bitcoin themed arcade games
Since no one else touched on the topic I'll put in 2 cents.

That seems like a fun way to use forum money, having people create community games that get people interested in Bitcoin is not a complete waste of resources and a means of education and entertainment, it would even be a fun addition to the Bounty system besides forum bugs and the forum could create its own little section for that fairly cheaply so maybe that is not a complete waste of resources if it becomes to much of a burden it could be offsite on its own server but with the budget the forum has it's not something that is unfeasible.
6213  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: November 17, 2015, 01:21:29 PM

I dont see a problem with people posting in spammy threads, you know when you enter a thread that allows nothing but low quality posts. Maybe call it recreational posting, I dont know. Its spam, yes, but it is not derailing or diminishing an otherwise good thread. These are IMHO the bigger problem. People that do not read threads and just post their 3-4 sentences of emptyness or rehash other answers. Obviously if you are only here for giveaways or to post each day what you drank, there should be no one paying for your posts, but even if, I dont think this is a problem. Its not like the forum has a storrage problem. It has a spam problem and the spammy threads are not causing the problem. What is causing the problem is bad posts in otherwise good threads.

This -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1243734.msg12990564#msg12990564

is spam, but its not easy to find if you dont follow the thread. Its annoying for those seeking help and a possible distraction as well. It might even be dangerous  in the sense of "oh just export your private key and upload it here". Its also difficult to report as it might be an honest mistake.

This -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1090962.msg12995337#msg12995337

is harmless, easy to find and not a problem. At least in my opinion.

I agree with what you said Shorena, that said the list users have complied so far is mainly individuals with most of their posts being one liners and located in off-topic and games and rounds and are singled out for that in the descriptions i'll call those type of posters recreational posters as well.

Example: This person just posted their username and guessed the price of something but did not really add any content etc. (Banned) The problem is if recreational posting is all they do then it is spam and looking back a few pages you can see the pattern.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=532293;sa=showPosts

That said posting bad advice in Project Development and Technical Discussion is definitely not harmless and can cause problems if the advice is misinforming and misleading and that is important to note, although in those cases I generally would look into if they were making an honest mistake and in need of correction or just padding to their post count there are some good newbies there but there are definitely bad seeds among them as well.

The point you mentioned is that their is a difference in how people view spam, the tendency of the forum is to look closely towards the recreational spam as it is an obvious type of bloat and less on the subliminal type like the post you linked which might require people to pay more attention although they are a big problem, that said both posts are spam in my opinion but one is easier to see than the other with a casual glance and look at post statistics.

That said there are cases where the persons posts may look like Spam but are on topic example people who only are posting bids in Auction threads but for the most part you don't see to many of those but it's up to people to scrutineer those type of posters before listing them.

I'll pick on Kolloh as an example since that's a name I recognize from luckyb.it as a regular user, the posts may be short but reading the context and areas of the forum they are in they aren't that bad however they would still end up on some peoples lists such as guitarplinker as they met his criteria of spam.

Reading back a few pages in posts you see there not all shit or else Stingleword would not have added the user to luckyb.its campaign when it was still running however if you look at a users most recent page or the length of an average post a person may end up with a different conclusion or opinion, example a warning vs a perma ban etc.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=349689;sa=showPosts;start=20

But I don't see any such restrictive exclusions on yobit campaign page.

Actually what most of the campaigners expect,I think,is that their promoters to be 'seen' in the relevant sections of the forum like games and rounds, investor based games with their signatures.

But how far the relevant section threads are in need of constructive, lengthy posts ?
Most of the threads need just usernames or just our 'two cents'.
And I appreciate yobit campaign/er for being genuine in this respect and not imposing any restrictions unlike many other campaigns.

And my first question in this thread was actually meant for XinXan as to what exactly prompted him to put me on the 'hit list' without taking all these things in to account.
I was wondering if he really expected highly constructive and lengthy posts in the relevant sections from me before he put me on the list.

That is one of the issues with yobit paying for all the topics it gives its members more freedom but at the same time users do not like seeing the spam spread to different areas of the forum, recreational spam tends to spread to other sub boards like services D@T etc, and looking through the thread yobit is now banning users from the campaign if they are purely recreational posters like Shorena mentioned or making crap posts in other sections.

As for why XinXan added you well he will need to respond, but in my opinion as Shorena and others have put it most if not all of your posts were that of a recreational poster and not really adding content in general to the forum, even if they were correct for the type of thread you posted in it is frowned upon if that is all the user does, not taking into account that most of your posts in general were short in length. As mark mentioned Bitcointalk is a forum for discussion and not a giveaway talk so its important to do both.

Really this Topic is now going off....
So much nuisance is created just for one user?
I suggest To OP that he should LOCK THIS THREAD and only unlock it when he wants to add more spammers (For Editing ) then again lock it..
This thread should be for information purposes only not for discussion ..

Your right, that said it's important to explain to users who are spamming where they are making mistakes if they ask.
I'll stop discussing this as well I feel like the point has got across with the help of others to explain their criteria for being added to the list.

*Deleted a Post so that the thread will start clean on the next page this is a long blurb apologies for anyone who gets confused by the quote links

6215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ever dreamed about Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2015, 11:40:56 AM
Have you dreamed about Bitcoin before? Well, recently I dreamed that someone sent me 5 BTC to my Mycelium wallet. I told my friend (in the dream) that those Bitcoin worth around 3000 USD. If that was true ... One Bitcoin is equal to 600 USD in my dream.

Well, I hope the dream come true one day - be it free 5 BTC or 600 USD per Bitcoin.

That's an interesting dream
As for dreaming about Bitcoin, once in a while but not a full dream just a feeling that its worth checking what Bitcoin is doing today, during the quick rally it was a feeling of needing to buy Bitcoin and see where it would go while not a dream sometimes Bitcoin makes me feel like that.
6216  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the fact that ISIS use bitcoin ruin bitcoin? on: November 17, 2015, 11:29:13 AM
No, the argument has been used countless times, the MOST USED Currency to finance terrorism has always been the US dollar for decades.
That does not mean that the US Dollar is a Terrorist currency, just as much as Bitcoin can be used by anyone, the FIAT/Crypto that is used to exchange funds is not at fault what we blame is how it is used and that is what people should be concerned and correlate it to.

The question is if people will bother to skim beneath the surface and look at the currency from a more balanced viewpoint.

The forum is not PC but that said I doubt your going to find any sincere Islamic State Supporters blatantly calling themselves out in this thread, looks more like troll bait than anything else.

I guess sarcasm is fair game although no one would be sarcastic about the tragedy in Paris and those people in ISIS calling for more blood as they are crazy, cynicism for some things the United States government and military do would be shared even amongst Americans.

If anything the forum leans more towards Anon with the Libertarian roots  Wink

6218  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: November 17, 2015, 11:06:26 AM
-snip-
I understand.
Should/can we make lengthy, constructive post every time even in the non demanding contexts, specially in games and rounds section where you just need to post your username most of the time?

No, adding a sentence that is not saying anything to your post is not increasing the quality of the post. There are threads where its not possible to post constructive, like give aways or "what did you drink today". I also think one should not expect a discussion when entering such a thread.

The main issue in my opinion is balancing the amount of posts in those types threads a user that posts exclusively in those threads are not really adding any content or quality posts to the forum most campaigns exclude those sections as a what did you drink today post in off-topic doesn't really merit much discussion or a giveaway in investor based games, on the other hand while discussing your personal preference of a Bitcoin wallet a bit of good discussion can occur as people prefer different ways of storing their coins.

The problem in my opinion is if the majority of a users posts are in the former type of threads then they would be spamming even if it is one of those type of threads that is non demanding.

6220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Western Forces in Middle East on: November 17, 2015, 10:13:52 AM
Why are we there ?

Should we be there ?

Why are we there ?

To take oil and gas cheaply, destabilize the region and build up ISIS through funding rebels to topple other government heads like Al Assad.

Should we be there ?

That depends

If your pro Israel a weaker middle east allows it to expand its territory with relative ease.
If your job is in the military and you get work for building weapons to fight then there would be no jobs see American budget on military spending, and the idea of war investments for peace.

If your trying to create peace in the Middle East
(NO you'll only make it worse killing the dictators there they are what creates meta-stability in that chaotic environment destroying them creates a serious power vacuum where more radical elements moderated by these dictators can now thrive in)

And if your a corporation less government to deal with less tax = a better bankroll, hiring a few thugs to keep an oil area safe is cheaper than taxes on production.
