6201  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CloudThink.IO removed management pictures after being caught with stealing on: July 06, 2015, 08:10:09 AM
Time to start negging people who promote this?

Things could get ugly with this and there might be alot of complaint in meta later about "trust abusing" or whatsoever ( wasnt this thing happened before in the past? ). I am not against the idea of negging people who join this but I would propose to give them a second chance after being negged. Those who have decided to stop promoting this scam should later be given neutral instead of red trust.

I dont see why people decided to jump into this, they havent paid their avatar campaign and there is a high risk that they wont be paid at all at this new campaign
6202  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: July 05, 2015, 10:35:29 PM
Just wanted to follow up on how DirectBet is openly scamming people.

There is a huge difference between not fair and scamming. Basically what they offered is consider as not fair but it is indeed not scamming because you can always make your own decision to not use Directbet to bet for this match. Simply use another site to bet for this match without the need to create a fuss here or atleast try to contact their support beforehand

This is a one sided match and it is pretty much weird, could be an error from their odds provider because they are offering Draw No Bet option at the odds of 1.22.
6203  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiBet Bitcoin Casino - Provably Fair - Bonuses - Play Roulette, Blackjack on: July 05, 2015, 10:30:00 PM
helo all gamblers pls do not deposit in the satoshibet.....satoshibet is scame now  Cry

Highly unlikely that this is not that satoshibet is turning to be a scam site. First of all, it is not sure yet what is the issue of them holding your withdrawal. There is several chances between hot wallet is depleted or that they will need to verify each of your bet to prevent players from using a fraudulent way to win in the site. Leaving that aside, today is Sunday which means that Support is probably not around, give them some times atleast for a few hours later and try to send them another mail

P.S : Addi will not be risking this site for such amount of BTC withdrawal. Although it is a big amount but he could get more by running this site
6204  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: July 05, 2015, 10:24:46 PM
I don't understand why people are crying and cribbing about some temporary price fall

Most people actually are considering wether BTC is dead by measuring it from its price and it is pretty much has become the standard things around here and so you can expect every single complaint the moment BTC is having a fall because some people expect that the price will be keep on rising. This happen pretty much every time there is a huge fall in the price however once the price goes back up, you can see the same people coming back up and shows us his joy over it

Some great quote regarding BTC price and this truly describe the situation around here

Code:
If BTC rise , people says thats a bubble and if BTC falls people says it is dead

6205  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 05, 2015, 09:44:53 PM
-snip-
Saving in a bank is not saving, its stupidity. Now that you get 1% reward, for infinite risk (bank run, bank collapse, investor insurance fund doesnt cover systematic collapse, capital controls, etc) its the worst thing to do to keep money in the bank.

Buy cheap stocks, or invest in alternative things. Sheeps get eaten by wolfs

Funny how you mentioned up infinite risk while in fact you are suggesting to invest which have the higher risk as well. I would say that you are complete into delusion to think that investing is much safer than putting your money in bank . Even with the recent event of the Greece incident, I would say it is pretty much safer than investing in stocks

Apart from banking system failling, the other risk will be the inflation rate yearly which is affected for all of your money despite that even if you keep it under your matress. Compare it to your suggestion about investing in stocks, then the risk of saving in banks is completely niche to it (you seems to be into bogus investment I'd say)

I they will not put at the bank that have a bad background.

The reputation of the bank actually doesnt matter anyway because once the entire economic system of a country fell apart, no matter how great their previous reputation is then they will probably fell apart too. A bank is not a standalone company because it relly on the country's economic system as well
6206  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 05, 2015, 09:21:18 PM
So you mean that some of them will have the chance to get profit although other are suffer the loss? Because of the elctricity and taxes?

Yes, Deisik actually meant that and this is a flaw from my previous post of not taking it into account that the system is bound to be that some people will always be profittable. Merely because the electricity cost is different for each miners, some large farm actually have their own "electricity" and they will probably be those who are still profittable if BTC falls below $100 marks

In case you are still confusing, you should know that

Code:
more hashrate = higher difficulty

the difficulty is increasing with more hashrate that is trying to mine BTC. So if mining isnt profitable anymore then there will be some miners that decided to shut down their miner and the hashrate will decrease. If atleast 50 % of the miners decided to shut down then the hashrate will be decreasing as well.

This means that a large farm that has a low cost for electricity will get more share for the pools sharing and thus earned more BTC to cover their electricity cost and get some profit .
6207  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: July 05, 2015, 08:55:23 PM
yes bitcoin is much bigger, but c`mon, we need to shill on  social media about bitcoin too

Shilling will be the last resort to do because BTC is bound to be succesfull as today even without a heavy shilling all over the social media. You may want to hype all you want but that wont bring enough demands to BTC to reach $690 anyway. What BTC actually needs is not a hype but a real demands on it

However, if they can hold for a few more years I'm sure we will surpass 1k easily.

This is the part where I dislike this. Basically holding prevent people from recovering some loss (considering that they bought at peak) . Best thing to do will be to get a profit through every small rally or rebounds. It is not hard to actually "play" this thing and it is much simpler than daytrading but the fact is that people seem to more into "holding" despite that they are suffering a blow from buying at the peak. With this, people could atleast re-coup few of what they lost without having to wait for years with uncertainty

On the other hand, even if BTC is showing a sign of price increasing right now , people should always realized that there is still always a potential for it to be a dirt cheap in overnight. Not saying that I dont believe in BTC however that people should not leave this fact aside but this seems to not be the concern of several hodler
6208  Economy / Gambling / Re: crypto-games.net, 30% house edge, bugs and vulnerabilities, screw the investors! on: July 05, 2015, 07:34:28 PM
Im no expert on this but could this be caused by cookies as well apart from having the same seed from before and after the fixed? ( had some experiences with cookies messing up multiplier in a site ) and you didnt mention that did you clear cookies before starting the new account though. That could be a another reason why the bet is glitched

Yes I cleared cookies to start the new account.  After the cookies were cleared, play seemed to resume back to normal.

The issue could probably be caused by cookies because if the site force a soft update without forcing a refresh or play in a mirror site that thing could happen as the cookies might affect the gameplay . If this issue which is truly caused by cookies is happening to you then there will be another person that might have the same issue as well there unless he make an announcement to clear off cookies . Sadly people just gamble there blindly without knowing the truth

P.S : I am pretty much not too sure about this cookies issue, Perhaps anyone with some sheer experiences could shed some light , Dooglus perhaps?

I was asking if there was really a vulnarability, they said i dont want to talk here about it, so i kept asking and they would mute me if i didnt stop talking about the quality of the script and so on...

A site that could not take a critism is bound to fail. Lack of attitude , blind to see the undeniable fact and heavy censorship about this issue mean that he actually know that he is wrong about this and he is too proud of himself which is why he keeps on twisting on his words

im not an expert, but i think thats called censorship. Roll Eyes

Yes it is

I would say to stop posting on their thread as we are making them the favor of bumping their thread on top on this boards which means that more people could actually be "scammed" by his cheap site. Hope their investor / players know about this thread and get out of the site immediately

With this entire issue arrising, the site is getting 4+ pages of it . Thats pretty much 15 % increase of activity for their site
6209  Economy / Gambling / Re: crypto-games.net, 30% house edge, bugs and vulnerabilities, screw the investors! on: July 05, 2015, 06:13:29 PM
I did start 'winning' on the original account after the claim was made, but my best honest guess is that because the admin did not reboot the site or force a refresh, that somehow my bets were glitched with the 'hotfix' that was applied.

Im no expert on this but could this be caused by cookies as well apart from having the same seed from before and after the fixed? ( had some experiences with cookies messing up multiplier in a site ) and you didnt mention that did you clear cookies before starting the new account though. That could be a another reason why the bet is glitched

The site has terrible management and is poorly coded.

The management disrespect people and threaten them when they go and give them an advice on what they should do. Despite all the fact presented here, people are still rolling without any concern on what the risk is. His proud of his code is making him blind for all the facts here and he isnt taking any concern with all of this thing
6210  Economy / Economics / Re: Will a bank being hacked boost adoption of bitcoin? on: July 05, 2015, 05:24:48 PM
Well people have to have an option to move money around. And if the banks suck, then the only alternative is bitcoin.

The chances for bank to completely off the grid will be close to zero at this point. Barely I'd say this because the government would not let go of their source of power (they control the bank and FIAT, they control the people) . If banks were to fail, there will be another "system" that replace the traditional bank and shifting onto BTC will be the last resort to do .
You can check on the hype towards greece with their latest issue but simply they are looking for another option rather than BTC , not saying BTC is the complete answer for them but atleast it could be a better option for them
6211  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto-Games.net - DICE (0.8 House edge) & Slot | INVEST | up to 20.5k faucet on: July 05, 2015, 05:19:54 PM
Apologize and you'll get your reward. Or go away.

This is actually a sign on why people should stay away from this site. You are asking people to apologize despite that you act arrogantly on the first hand and keep on saying your code has no flaw in it. In the end you acknowledge that it is a flaw and claimed you fixed them but actually you havent fix all of them and alot more problem arise (check dogedigital's post as well)

You claimed that you protect your investor but infact is that you are not and your investor suffer a lost because of this flaw. This site has been running for almost a year and you should check how much have the investor suffered lost because of this flaw and refund them. If you are not refunding your own investor, this means that you are scamming your own investor

P.S : With all this fuss , It wont be a sweet one year anniversary for your site

6212  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto-Games.net - DICE (0.8 House edge) & Slot | INVEST | up to 20.5k faucet on: July 05, 2015, 03:55:44 PM
There is huge competition between Bitcoin gambling sites. As our site's number of bets is increasing faster and faster, more people will try to lower our reputation. We are ready for that.

You should learn to be modest and cool yourself out . No one is trying to bring your reputation down . Dooglus ran one of the most famous and reputable dice site around here and your site is just a niche compared to his. If he said there is a flaw, then there is a flaw and you should be grateful that you have the opportunity to fix the flaw before your site getting bigger. He even gave a complete list about the rounding issue as well as the edge for the player with a proper math that you could even verify yourself about this.

if you are looking closely to all the facts presented then you would know that this is done for your better good. With the previous rounding issue at your site, you are hurting the investor because that flaw in the rounding issue has given the player an edge of 32 % . I would refund all investor's lost if I were you
6213  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk honest tipsters on: July 05, 2015, 03:06:01 PM
I am being blammed for wrong stats as i can see.

You are blammed for deleting an honest comment which is a sign of that you are trying to cover up your tack. Anyway a self moderated thread actually indicate that the person starting the thread doesnt like to be critized.

they would just place bets themselves and make real profits with their "knowledge"

This is quite "confusing question" and there isnt any solid answer for this kind of question, the same thing as why ASIC manufacturers are selling miners when they can mine for more profit or why companies are offering cloudmining when they can mine for themselves

As a matter of fact, some tipster are actually making profits from their own tips . Some are actually great in "predicting" the match and giving out tips without them even betting using the tips for themselves and hope someone would buy their tips or tip them after winning by using the hot-air tips

Some examples of a great tipster that actually bet on his own tips

Turned 0.086BTC into 10BTC

So much for losing month.

Sucks that my subs probably didnt not follow that parlay, even though i shared it.
6214  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: July 05, 2015, 11:42:54 AM
Where do you all think this education may first enter the kids lives - and where? With Parents, early schooling, late schooling? Would it occur first in Europe, Asia, the Americas?

Parents definitely. The education about BTC in school is merely a dream for now because no country has adopted it to be their currency yet and until that happens then it will be based on parents decision to either teach their kids about BTC or not. The fact that it is a decentralized currency, there is a bound that it will never happen though unless something enormous happens to the world economy system.

As for the place of it, it will be mostly in Europe or America . Most people in Asia actually lives in poverty ( some country in Asia ) however this is a speculation of mine because I have no data to support my claim about this, merely I am considering the fact that there are more BTC user in Europe and America rather than in Asia though

P.S : If anyone has any data about number of BTC user in a region/nation and care to share it will be highly appreciated though
6215  Economy / Gambling / Re: PatDice - Simple, to the point Dice site on: July 05, 2015, 11:06:32 AM
Majority of players prefer to play on their favorite old and trusted sites.

Unless you are not aware yet, this site is using moneypot's API which means that the owner of this site has no ability to tamper your bet even if they want to. However they are not getting anything from your loss so there is no point to do that because they gain 50 % of the house edge which means that they will hope for you to win and keep on wagering on the site because that is how they get profit

btw i dont trust now at moneypot provably fair system anymore after getting 24 losing streak

You are having a delusion to think that provably fair is a system that is preventing you from getting 20+ loss streak and you should learn about provably fair first before even considering posting about such things (reference below )
Provably fair system is there to help the player to notice if by any chance the site owner decide to rig the rolls. It is helping you to verify your rolls and not to help you win on the site. Any site that use moneypot's API is fair and each rolls is verified automatically in moneypot so there is no chance for a site that is using moneypot to rig your rolls

References on provably fair : http://dicesites.com/provably-fair

and what is wrong with moneypot provably fair option? I couldn't find out yet, any hint for us? thanks

Nothing is wrong , he is just having a delusion to think that a site that have provably fair will not be giving him 20+ lost streak

Any site that uses moneypot's API is fair, including patdice
6216  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have a +EV method for a dice site,[CONFIRMED +EV is possible] on: July 05, 2015, 10:50:09 AM
-snip-

Second thing is, I don't care if you don't play on our site really. We don't need players like you on our site for sure. We are friendly community and we are having fun as is. Most of players play with faucet only and we are happy with that. Those who invest on our site support and trust us.

You should probably change the word "friendly" because you are not. You are a hotheaded, arrogant and hostile coder that doesnt even understand a simple math. Leaving that aside, with all this fuss about how incompetent your site is than there will be two scenario. Either your site will be losing its business because people wont be trusting you anymore or your site will still be there with your players/investor that doesnt even understand how incompetent the owner of the site in addressing issue and how the site is full of rounding issue flaw

Investor doesnt actually trust you. They just dont know the fact that due to the rounding issue, they are losing because of your incompetency. They are a bunch of people that doesnt even understand what house edge means probably and that is the reason why people are still investing on your site.

Yeah sure. Investors are safe. What you think -> I don't care.

Site that doesnt take suggestion nor comment is bound to fail in the long run

Nope. Vulnerabilities were patched. There is no reason to take site down.

Quoting just for references in case few hours later someone find a rounding issue again
6217  Economy / Gambling / Re: PatDice - Simple, to the point Dice site on: July 05, 2015, 10:42:13 AM
so many dice sites around which most of them has a crappy designs and they look identical with one another

Some has a better design than any existing old dice site , just that people hasnt discovered it yet

probably yours probably  won't last that long.

Competition for dice site around here is pretty harsh, some dice site with great design and feature hasnt yet been given opportunity because people tend to stay at their favourite site.

Anyway PatDice is using moneypot's API as well as its bankroll, hosted in github as well and this means that he has zero risk for this even if the site wont last. Some people actually make their own dice site in moneypot and gamble there alone just for the sake of the 50 % of the house edge share . Patdice seems to be an experiment though because the owner isnt playing at his site actively like some people did

Incase someone wants to give it a try https://www.moneypot.com/apps/99-patdice
6218  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have a +EV method for a dice site,[CONFIRMED +EV is possible] on: July 05, 2015, 10:27:25 AM
we have very limited budget and time

Budget being limited is pretty much normal for a mediocre site but that being said the time to make your site into a perfect flaw free site should always be there. You cant run a site if you have no time to check on such huge flaw .

But our priorities are security, speed, functionality.

If security is your priority than you should have taken the action to take down the site to check on all the rounding issue on your site. The fact is that you are twisting your words and you dont actually take an extra measurement for the security because you are not protecting your investor nor your players because of this flaw

so they won't be able to select non profitable Payouts.

Is there even a "non profitable payout" ? As far as I know all payout is profitable because it gives your atleast 1.02 minimum in most site or do you actually mean that player wont be actually able to select a high multiplier like XXXX to prevent this things from happening? If this is so then you are not fixing anything, you are just limitating the ability for player to abuse your system which is a sign of bad move because people will see how incompetent you are

P.S : I could be wrong on this

This will be done next week. Until then site won't be closed as it was running with this bug for 1 year now and nobody complained about it, and some probably profited a lot. Won't even calculate.

Seriously this is another proof of how incompetent you are and as well as the site is. Also a proof that people should stay away from your site. It is not that nobody complained about it just that people doesnt even know what this means and they probably have no idea about this before because it is only happening in a specific multiplier
6219  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 05, 2015, 10:15:43 AM
What I meant as their own business is that I am actually referring not to the chinese exchanger but rather to the ASIC manufacturer because with the price going as low as $100, mining wont be sufficient anymore with the current miners. They will be forced into either trying to find a sustainable chips that allow miners to get some profit even if the price is as low as X or that sustain the price by giving up some action like big buy wall and try to manipulate the price

If a business becomes unprofitable, it usually closes its operations (and switches to something else), or just goes bust if it is not lucky enough. If these ASIC manufacturers are not exchanges (which they are not), they won't have enough funds to build "big buy wall". And I guess they wouldn't really want that even if they were or had enough cash...

To sum it up, I am not be expecting deliberate "big buy walls", and yet less so from ASIC manufacturers

The ASIC manufacturers make tons from selling hardware and mine for themselves so high chance that there will be an "action" there because standing and watching the price fall down will be the last option they do. If it is become unprofittable then they will have to ditch all of the existing hardware which means a double dip loss for them . Chinese isnt the type to let their business go down without any action to prevent that though

By the word "action" , that would be a purely speculation from mine . Given the fact that chinese isnt the type to let their business go down without any action and change it to the other, there will probably be an "action". "Action" in this case isnt solely from the manufacturers alone, could be from colleagues, investor or the other because with such an enourmous reputation of one of the world's largest ASIC manufacturer then they will probably has a wide network of investor or such.

If it hits $100, I doubt that there will be an euphoric buys because even the last pressure from January 2015 that drove the price below $200 has left a scar to few people as most people have been dumping alot, jumping the ship and saying that  BTC is dead.
The sell pressure of that time is huge and it will be much more if it reach $100 marks and it could actually drive the price to be dirt cheap (worst case possible scenario) and alot of people could be jumping off the ship

It doesn't matter if many were hurt (in fact, you said few while meaning many, as I got it). I guess yet more had been hurt (mildly speaking) when the price collapsed from over $1,100 to mere $250, and so what? Today's price is above $250, thereby it doesn't count a fuck if someone jumped off the ship when it dropped to $160...

Market never lies

The price has never dropped to a point where mining become totally unprofittable. The last drop to below $200 still on the mark where mining is barely profittable in some places but if it drop to $100 or below it, mining will not be profittable at all anymore (unless you manage to get a free electricity or else) . So at this point, high chance that the number people jumping off the ship will be bigger and also that it could mark as the start of heavy sell pressure constantly
6220  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have a +EV method for a dice site,[CONFIRMED +EV is possible] on: July 05, 2015, 09:57:58 AM
At least now, players who have read this thread can get some insight into the mechanics of the places where they bet.

Most people actually know nothing about this kinda stuff and doesnt actually care about it. Crypto-games has ran for almost a year and only until now  someone found it . Also the fact is that some people are being lenient towards their "favourite site" , take example of crypto-games where most people is still there chatting, playing and even investing their BTC with ease.
Another friggin example would be 999dice because despite how many proof that has been presented that the site is rigged, the number of people playing there is still high

given a good dice script (example: PD) there should never be a way for a player to obtain +EV bets, no matter what.

Heard some info that PrimeDice has actually some issue as well in the past because of the rounding issue

P.S : I could be wrong on this

Overall, I think that some people are just idiots.

It will be either idiots or curious because some people know nothing about this stuff. For them, this is a wonderful thing while in fact if you know this stuff, this is a rounding issue that is happening on specific high multiplier ( most people use x2 so yeah they couldnt notice such thing )
