6201  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Other sections for this forum? on: January 22, 2019, 06:41:47 AM
Knowing that this is still stickied on top of our local board, I would like to update reply to some of the people who posted lately here.

For the post of Insanerman He posted this

1. Lots of Filipinos are joining bounties and airdrops and now is the right time to educate each and every filipino about Trading Discussions. They must know how to trade properly and ina timely manner. Their earnings will just go to waste if they don't know how to exchange them properly to whatever coin they want.[/i]

2. Understanding will not be problem. We use our native language to have a real and healthy discussions about trading. A lot of Filipinos have so-called "Language Barrier" that is why most of them do not understand the terms used in trading discussions. They can now relate to each other's queries.

He has proved a lot of points with regards to what Trading Discussions could do and a lot of people would learn from it. There are a lot of accomplished traders in the cryptospace here in the Philippines, they even have a discord group for it and probably they could make posts here to help "expose" that there's bitcointalk.org forum for people who are cryptocurrency enthusiast such as myself. I would love to support that.

Just like this person

Trading ! I need more tips on trading  Grin

He wants to learn more about Trading but the discussion here in our local is somewhat scattered.

For the Technical Discussion, I don't think it would be needed right away. There are no posts that I can remember that could be related to it.

For Beginners Discussion, I don't think it wouldn't be required since there is already a guideline on starting, they just have to read about it.

According to this person, he would love to be informed with different news.

News in the country is a lot more interesting in my opinion. I would like to support this as well. It's like Announcements or invitations where people could post about possible events that are happening in the Philippines.

Overall, I would like to support the building of the cryptocurrency support here in the Philippines and I would love to see bitcointalk.org as the center of it.

But if he doesn't change his clothes, it's a big answer for us that he is not going to anywhere and only stay at the casino. I think the customer can stay for 24 hours, but that person should play in many games, and if he just sits down, and only drink, I think that it will take attention from the manager and he will ask that person because it's too suspicious. It's no problem if he can play for 24 hours in the various game or even 48 hours as long as he doesn't sleep at the casino.

But once again, we don't know the truth, and I think someone needs to remind him to go home after playing some game or at least, he needs to change his clothes.
I think the "incognito security guards" the one in civilian clothes would already take notice with people who are just "freeloading". They are the expenses that the casino is not taking profit from lol.

Perhaps some gamblers indeed spend around 4 days inside casinos, but that's really unbelievable, and it's not what I was trying to say. According to the survey I came across, people stay in Las Vegas(not necessarily inside a casino) between 3.4 nights and 4.4 days on average. According the same survey they spend around 3 hours per day gambling and and the average gambling budget is around $600. But of course that's on average, we all know that some gamblers can lose millions during their trip to Las Vegas, and same goes for the gambling per day.
I see. Now I understand. Mainly the place is just a gambling place but also there are a lot of tourist spots that are possible there. I haven't been there but I would like to experience it someday. The main attraction there is probably connected to gambling. Maybe

I cured my gambling addiction by just playing a lot of games and other stuff to distract me.
You should talk with friends and family, but for me they didn't help me as much as I wanted them to when I was trying to get off my addiction.
I remember everytime I got money in a faucet or got paid while mining from ethermine,
I would just splurge it on gambling and wait till next weeks. By now, I could have had like an extra $20,000 in my pocket but I only choose to spend it on useless stuff like gambling.
I hope this helped you.
Wow! It's amazing to see someone who actually posted about curing themselves with gambling addiction. There are a lot of people who are struggling with that, and especially being exposed to BTCT with a lot of signatures that are connected to gambling, it would be hard. I hope that you don't get back to your old habits.

Having a large amount that is around $20000 would really be huge, especially in my country. I know I wouldn't be spending that with gambling though. Thanks for sharing.

6204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 21, 2019, 09:43:54 AM
Looks like someone lost a lot money on placing a bet on Adrien Broner and tried to get even by robbing the house of Manny Pacquaio in Los Angeles. No details we're given as to how much was missing or what are the items missing. And come to think of it, Adrien Broner claims that he was robbed in this fight.

https://www.philstar.com/sports/2019/01/21/1886948/pacquiaos-los-angeles-home-robbed
That's crazy. Maybe they have planned for that knowing that they will be out on Vegas.

Upon reading the article, it was the second time that the house was broken into. I don't know if the owner is the reason (knowing that it's the house of Manny) or it's just plain easy target or something. Their place should be more cautious with possible robbers.

What about the bitcointalk? Since you are already a member here maybe you could ask them to join here. The Beginners Section is friendly with learning all the workarounds and the can post with their questions (providing that it isn't yet asked/answered)
6206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin on: January 21, 2019, 09:29:57 AM
It's incredible how one technology can affect you in such a big way. I'm happy to see that someone is already reaping the blessings given to them.  I suggest posting more pictures about your trip! It would be nice to see and share the amazing places you've been to, especially in the Philippines.

I think your trip would be better if the places, shops, people, are already supporting/accepting cryptocurrencies.

It's best to pm Hhampuz for that and ask him why.

I saw it in the spreadsheet that you will be removed after payment.
6209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 21, 2019, 02:51:22 AM
The fight was as boring as Manny's fight versus Floyd Mayweather, which Manny versus Adrien Broner was supposed to be the forerunner for Manny's rematch against Floyd.

There was maybe 1 or 2 exciting rounds for Manny, however it was not enough to argue for a Floyd versus Pacman 2, I reckon.

Few exciting rounds and I was expecting a knockout. Probably the fight just became dull or people just want so much action and expected the wrong thing. We cannot blame them, both parties want to win but less action was done.

Floyd is just poker face when he was asked whether he is willing to accept a rematch with Manny. I’m interested in watching that too and probably make some bets also.
6210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories and Possible Solutions on: January 21, 2019, 02:41:25 AM
From what I know, there is no such rule. You can stay infinitely in a casino as long as you don't misbehave. According to stats, the average stay in Las Vegas is around 4 days, and I'm sure many gamblers spend as many hours as they can inside in order to not waste the precious time. I think some of them, if not most of them, take various drugs and energy drinks which help them to stay awake. If you ask me, I'd say that's a disastrous pastime. But for some people it's the best time they can imagine. And I don't blame them because this matter is very subjective.
That’s also what I thought because the longer the person stays, the more money the casino squeezes out of him. Staying at a casino for four days is really unbelievable. I guess there are a lot of people who are getting the hang of gambling results to longer stays. That’s definitely disastrous knowing that you can stay there and forget your other priorities that are more important to gambling. That’s for sure.

Maybe they were able to do that because it maybe some kind of escape to their world and that’s just their way of coping up with what they have experienced or something.
6211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 20, 2019, 05:47:06 AM
The match is about to start, and a lot of Filipinos are supporting there in Las Vegas and hoping to have an entertaining fight!

Let's see who wins their bets too. I am rooting for Pacquiao

*edit

Pacquiao Won. Unanimous Decision! He proved that it's not yet time to stop. Congratulations who bet with Manny. Manny said that he is willing to fight Floyd! Adrien Broner is lashing out. Lol
6212  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Lending in the forum on: January 20, 2019, 05:27:16 AM
Thanks for the kind words, I don't have a lot but I have enough to start a micro lending, this is just an experiment as  I'm not certain it will go based on my expectation. I saw you already granted a loan from zazarb and you have a good reputation already so if you want to apply let's see how much I can offer to you.
Oh, yes. I do have a current loan from zazarb, and I haven't paid it yet. Thanks for that, looking forward to your service too. I will just post in your thread if I want to try your offerings.
6213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 18, 2019, 09:17:25 AM
Try explaining this to the millions who gamble at Las Vegas casinos everyday. It is not that simple op. Different people have different addictions and money is easily one of the biggest addictions in this material world.
This is also my thought when I read this topic. It’s not a simple thing that you just think of it and it’s done. The responses are different for different types of people. It is a concern of mine that people tend to prioritize money over anything. I know someone like they kind of “worship” money when even their love ones are in grave danger (health issues) they think about the cost and how much it could affect them rather than saving him.

Such people will simply continue spending money and take huge risks in order to satisfy their cravings inspite of being aware of the risk that they can lose all their money. Every person has their own interests.
When will a person be satisfied with their cravings?

6215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Definition of Winning in Gambling on: January 18, 2019, 02:29:27 AM
For me it's definitely the latter. If I was chasing profits with gambling I really don't know when would I stop.  How much would be enough for the day? $5? $10? What if I lost $15 the day before? Should I at least "make" that amount today? I try to never think this way, because gambling for me is not about money, but rather about the game. Of course I can feel a bit better when I win some money in the process, but that's just a bonus, while the main prize is the game itself.
This is what I was thinking about, the continuous, probably never-ending gamble that everyone doesn't want but continue to gamble. Has anyone here got a record from the start of their gambling days and the present and see how much would you chase or how much you have gained?

The definition of winning in gambling is winning at the same time, I don't care how big our previous lose is and let it go, because the next test we have to go through is to get the next day's winning. Yes, everyone has personal assumptions, but sometimes when I have a high bankroll, I will try to cover the previous lose in the next day, this is something that can not be explained in my opinion, because in gambling we definitely feel a little breathing relaxed when getting winning even though it did not cover our previous lose.
Would you also consider it in trading? Basically, it's a prediction if the price is going up or down, almost 50-50 but you could increase your chances of winning by analyzing the market or something like that. I think it's just our human instinct that wants to get back our losses.

Tackling the gambling for long in your life for long run will be considered as winning in gambling in my opinion. The people who are gambling for longer period in their life without got much influenced by the gambling in their life also the one won in gambling.I don't considered winning about money in gambling because its not going to happen in the long run.
It had become a habit of theirs that they manage to incorporate everything related to them. They have enough experience to manage in gambling their losses and debts because when one person already knows what they are doing, they could have the advantage on it.

If you made massive profit in one time and every individual have their own profit tolerance.
For example :
Player A gamble with 0.01 and made profit 0.01 , Player A stop gambling because it's succeed make 0.01
Player B gamble with 0.01 and made profit 1 BTC, finally player B stop gambling !
Definitely unrealistic in my opinion. If you could make 0.01 BTC to 1 BTC, that person would be more motivated to gamble, hence continuous gambling.

The bottom line, "Satisfaction at it's finest".
I agree that there's no definite meaning for winning (concerning per player). Most likely satisfaction could lead to more gambling. Think about it. You only get satisfied if you win then disappointed when you lose. If a player loses but is still satisfied is kind of weird to me.
6216  Economy / Gambling discussion / The Definition of Winning in Gambling on: January 17, 2019, 09:08:50 AM
This is my result in searching the meaning of “Winning”

Quote
Definition of winning (Entry 1 of 2)
1 : the act of one that wins : VICTORY

From: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/winning

How would you know that you have really one? Is it just one game? Only one chance where you get the W or the L? Is that already the Victory that is defined or Defeat when you lose?

This came into my thoughts when I read somewhere here in BTCT that when are you going to stop? And a lot of people have suggested that they will stop when they have already won. It got me thinking, how would be a Win?

There could be a lot of factors on when someone is going to stop. It probably depends on what type of person you are but seeing everyone has their own opinions, you could share everything here.

We are in a fast paced world where people would want to have instant income basically instant gratification. Could that be a win already? What is the motivation knowing that you are continue to win and lose when you gamble. What is the TRUE meaning of ”Winning” in gambling for you? Is it successful profits or satisfied game even if you lose?
6217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 17, 2019, 08:43:49 AM
The valid reason why i continue to gamble is the gains and looses that attached to the games. Talking about RISK, i believe that almost everything in this life revolve round RISK and those who are ready to take the RISK are those who are likely to be winners, so, i gamble because of the huge money that are always attached to the game by taken RISK and this worked for me.
I do believe that when you continue to gamble, the lower the chances you would earn. It’s just like when you have already won in a gamble but still, continue to use it. It’s not that rational and it wouldn’t really be helpful to you in the long run.

I like the idea of having believing that RISK brings you things. If you don’t risk, you won’t gain either that’s just the reality in real life. We are all alive in this era where people tend to be scared and wants to be comfortable. The thing that’s wrong is that people want instant gratification. It’s not good and it will never be, especially as we grow old.

Would you still gamble when you’re a senior citizen? Or just give money to your grandchildren or something. This is just my opinion.
6218  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: January 17, 2019, 08:04:08 AM
the market is currently experiencing a downturn in development if we before investing know what risks will be gained in investing in confidence and the main capital investment in investment now I can only hold and hold back to wait for opportunities and opportunities to benefit
Maybe we are in the correction movement coming from the the all-time high. I’m not an expert to give financial advice to anyone but we just have to do what we have to do. If you manage to invest at the right moment, you would have capitalized the market and doing that could make you more money. In turn of every opportunity, you need to know what to do in order to be successful in what you are doing. Try your luck and maybe you would get the right formula.

Things like this are often seen in real life where you invest in something, let’s say it’s a business venture then you will fail a couple of times because we are not perfect, we will struggle, we will receive losses but the most important thing is we manage to continue even how many times we failed.
6219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: January 17, 2019, 05:43:42 AM
What are the strategies you believe which can brings to win for you even though in the practical there is no strategy from you.Just speak from your heart. Cheesy

My strategy is to play two or three bets with small bets,if I win something hen I believe I am lucky today so I will continue few more bets and sometimes it helps too. Kiss

I use only small amount of money to chase high payouts like 3300x or even 9900x in dice gambling sites. If i hit it, then I will withdraw the profit and leave only the starting balance to start again my hunt at the other time. And if failed I will stop for a while till I have a good feeling to start rolling again.
is it chance to win with such high odds, very small? maybe the ratio is around 10000:1 to win ? Do you have much capital to gamble with that many bets? I won't use big odds, I use martingel but don't use bots, with odds of 3x. it is very profitable you know
Having a bot to bet for you is the easiest way. I use Seuntjie Bot and I’m very thankful for it. It supports a lot of casino sites like BitVest, PrimeDice, etc. You can have better control over your emotions in it and you won’t miss your target if you hit it.

For example, if you are aiming just for a win in a 9900x and you might want to stop betting already, you could automatically detect and have different conditions to stop betting. So you could really configure it with what you want.
