Greediness and desire. 2 words but it can change everything especially when you are holding huge amounts of crypto coins. You can invest in crypto and not to gamble as long as you don't have these 2 words. These are just 2 words but it can make your life miserable. Worse is that most of the gamblers are using their coins that they are holding into gambling and if they lost they will regret. Change your mindset and invest into crypto "ONLY". Invest only and don't gamble at all

Due to the pandemic, gamblers can't go to work.
If they can't go to work they don't have any salary or money.
If they don't have money, they don't have funds to be use for gambling.
Therefore, COVID19 affected crypto gambling but not directly affected.

Since we know that most of the gamblers right now can't go to their work, the virus affected crypto gambling already since they don't have any funds to use. Those who are working at home who are also gambling aren't affected at all but those who are working in a company or an establishments who've been closed for months are greatly affected and their gambling habits are also affected too for sure.

This is true. The more times you are gambling, the more chances that you will lose since not all the time you aren't lucky .

There are 3 reasons why people are gambling.
- they want to make more money
- they want to get entertained as you posted
- they want to get entertained but at the same time they want to get money

In the 3rd one that I said, yes there are some gamblers who are just gambling just for fun but there is a desire for them to make money and when they win as they are getting happy it will be just a bonus only. For me, gambling for fun isn't a bad idea as long as you will spend small amount of money and you will not feel anything bad whenever you lost it. Most of the gamblers for sure are gambling for money because gambling can give you profit in a short amount of time but on the other hand, you can loss all of your money there in a short amount of time.

This is the main reason I don't want to be addicted into gambling. I know how gambling affects a person's mind and I know how gambling can change the attitude and the traits of a gambler. Most of the gamblers change their mindset, attitude and their daily activities once they got addicted into gambling. You can do the things that you aren't normally doing when you aren't gambling. Gambling is a trap for me and that trap can change your life in an instant and it can be changed forever that is why if you can't control yourself especially when you are gambling, it would be better if you will just not gamble at all.

This happens to me all the time when we are gambling in what we call "peryahan". Maybe some know that term but that is very popular for us especially where there is a fiesta. Its like the same as roulette where you will predict where the ball will go and if you predicted it you will win. When I'm with my friends and we go there, I only getting a small amount of money because I expect that I will use all of that money with them.

I do online gambling too so pressure like you said in your thread is the one that I don't felt whenever I'm gambling. I know how to control myself so I will gamble whenever I want to and will stop when I need to stop.

Well, I expect that he is knowledgeable enough to hold that huge amount but in an online wallet?? Quite awkward but.. maybe he can buy an hardware wallet for his funds to be safer. I don't expect that he will not fall into this kind of common schemes of scammers .

I suggest that you will keep some of your Bitcoins in a hardware wallet for more safer .
Anyway, don't feel any regret because the expectation of most of the investors regarding the price of Bitcoin is it will go higher than 10k in the mid to long term so just be patient and hold all of your Bitcoins . Your target will be reach in the future for sure. For me it will hit again the 10k but I don't know when it will happen.

This is a no no for me. If the government will just wait for the vaccine to come in their country, the economy will be heavily battered and it will be a huge problem for them.

That is why most of the governments around the world are slowly opening some of the establishments in some places in their country that aren't affected by the virus so that at least there is a cash flow for the workers and employees. Some of the big companies worldwide are already at a loss because they can't work and they can't get a revenue at all. In this first quarter, most if not all of the huge companies have a negative percentage of income compare to last year because of the virus and that is huge for them. They can't afford to wait for the virus to be gone and after that they will back to business.

Some of the establishments can open already especially for the places who have little to no cases of COVID19 in some places.

I think these are the reasons why people are getting addicted into gambling.

1. Desire to win - because they are being fired up by their desire to win, they will do everything just to win. They will spend most of their time gambling, money in order to win etc. The more time you spend in gambling, the higher chance that you get addicted into it.

2. Lack of Self control - well this is self explanatory. Lack of self control = more time in gambling and more time in gambling = possible addiction.

3. Peer Pressure - because most of your friends are always gambling, they will invite you to play with them and since you are somewhat curious about gambling you joined. That would be the start of your gambling journey and possible addiction. Because of your friends, the chance of gambling is high already.

The BTC halving doesn't have a direct effect on gambling since the only thing that changed in the event is the total block reward hence, the total mined Bitcoins will be reduced therefore supply will decrease and I just hope that demand will increase so the price will increase in the long term.

Online gambling sites that are using crypto are being there already for a long time and the halving doesn't have any effect on it in my opinion. I also expect that more and more online gambling sites will accept crypto not just Bitcoin but other coins like ETH, BCH or anything which has a fast transaction speed. There are some sites that are supporting multiple coins in it already and more will do it in the future.

For me, you are lacking of self control. I can say to myself that I don't have self control if I'm holding coins but I'm using it on gambling. Your experience is quite unusual though for me. I think the best thing to do is to change your way of thinking about crypto and gambling. Getting crypto in a quick way will definitely lead you to gambling since it is the quickest way. Change your thinking on how to get more crypto. Its just your mindset that is the problem. Your way of thinking about crypto must be changed so that even though you have huge amount of crypto coins, you will not be urged to gamble it all.

I'm have invested a few bucks on different coins already and I have joined different bounty campaigns and received tokens that have value fortunately.

Base on my experience, most of the time altcoins tend to lose their value in mid to long term especially when it is a new token but when altcoin season comes they will go up more than Bitcoin and some of them even double or triple its price. Overall, it will depend on how long you can hold your coin and what coin are you are holding because if you are holding coins like ETH or LTC or XRP then you aren't losing. I also think that one reason why investors tend to lose some BTC when they invest in altcoins is the fact that most of the altcoin's price are based on BTC's price.

Well, higher risk = higher reward so wagering more will have higher chances of winning compare to a gambler who is wagering less amount of money.
Waging higher give you higher chances of winning but still the chances of losing is still there so if you can handle the risks and consequences that you may face whenever you are gambling then yeah use huge amounts of money in gambling and vice versa.

With this movement of the government, I believe that the economy is slowly recovering and some of the employees will be back to business again although there are some places in our country that will still be on enhanced community quarantine because of the huge number of cases in their place.

With this, I just hope that those who are heavily affected right now will learn their lesson that they must keep a portion of their salary for emergencies like this .

Common movement for Bitcoin for me.

I think this tend to happen before or when it is a few days only before the halving happens. For some this is a pre halving dump of Bitcoin and I expect that there will be a post halving dump and it will happen after halving. Nothing new for me as I saw more drastic downside movement of Bitcoin and TBH, what happened last month is way worse than this dump. Right now the price is slowly recovering already at the 8500-9000$ price so yeah the dumping is over and we will see a slow rise in the next few days.. or is it .

Its not only you but most of the casino gamblers right now are feeling what you are feeling right now.
This is just my prediction but I think the way to fight their inner demon inside them is to gamble online thru online gambling sites .


Even when I'm still gambling online, I didn't feel the urge when it comes to gambling. For me, before I gamble I always set my mind that whatever happens win or lose I will not feel anything. I just gamble when my body wants to gamble and when I gamble, I only use a few bucks since I'm just gambling in sports events (basketball in particular) just for additional excitement while watching it.

Or maybe there are some times that I felt the urgency to gamble but just for a moment since I'm not addicted into it and what I'm doing is I play games so that my urgency will be removed.

Controlling your emotions is a must because it is a very important factor when you are gambling.

Unfortunately, only a few gamblers have this kind of attitude. Some of the gamblers too have a target and plans whenever they lose and they win and if one of them happened then they will stop immediately. Having a enhanced restriction in gambling casinos is good but the gamblers will think twice or thrice before going there if they really value their life. We know already that most of the gambling casinos right now are closed due to the pandemic and so that the transmission rate will go down. If casinos will open even though it has a enhanced restriction, there is still a risk in their lives since they are outside of their home already where they are 100% safe. Having an enhanced restriction in casinos is possible but only few will go to casino to gamble for me I think and some of them will just to gamble online. Less hassle and more time with their family.

In my experience, there is a time that I gambled in NBA games and my couple knew about it but I'm spending a few bucks just for fun only. When she knew that I'm losing consecutive times already then she asked me to stop gambling and she made me realized that there is no benefits in gambling and I really don't get any benefits from it so I choose to stop already. I don't want that our relationship and our future. will be affected just because of gambling

For all gamblers, just gamble with moderation and don't spend to much money in gambling.

Well, we are not in the right place to say that it is bad for them to gamble even in pandemic because it is what they want to do so yeah let them gamble if they want.

I know that there are some gamblers who are gambling right now in their home even though there is a pandemic that is happening. Most of these are the ones who are gambling every day and their day will not be completed if they can't gamble.
