6221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's achilles on: November 28, 2013, 09:19:50 PM
Guys lets say bitcoin will get 10 Trillion market cap and all the governments decide to "shut down" bitcoin because they will be scared that
they can't control or regulate it.

i think the best scenarios for them will be that All countries secretly make a meeting in order to shut down bitcoin.
it will break down like this, they will find them BIG pools IP's, big mining pools in each country and disconnect them all at once from the internet retaking over mining and disrupting the bitcoin network.

they wont have to shut down the whole internet but only certain parts of it (mining one's).

i think the solution of it is difficult but it can be done,
everyone who supports this this technology and bitcoin will have to buy and addition to their PC, a small mining equipment even 5GH is enough just to support the network.

what do you think ?

I think the premise bitcoin will be worth 10 trillion dollars is ridiculous fantasy.

well if everyone adopt bitcoin and use it instead of Credit cards i think this sexy fantasy can happen.
but focus on how we can overcome this scenario

Credit cards?  hmmm , enlighten me please!
How would Bitcoin replace CREDIT cards?

How many units did you buy?
Too many.

How much do you really think you can get even if you win?
I have no idea. I will ask for the BTC amount regardless of the exchange rate, anyway. Let it be 1000 or 100$.

They sold us a product only because of the lies, now we will only get 10% of our BTC back (pessimistic projection, i know), this in my opinion is unacceptable. Either you don't sell or you don't make fake promises you know you can't comply with.

Since I assume you payed in BTC , did you ever looked where those btc went , if they even moved?
6224  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise Bit777 & Peerbet! (currently closed for new entrants) on: November 28, 2013, 01:09:44 PM
The rates apply also to the current period?
Because it's kind of unfair for people who will receive payment 3 days after the ones paid above to get half of the revenue.

PS. i'm not one of them , I still have half a month to go:)
6225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cracking the Code on: November 28, 2013, 01:06:26 PM
Ok  you have control > 50%  you add 1000 bitcoin to new address and release the block you won race now how network will react to new chain whit additional 1000 bitcoin in only your chain ?

It will be rejected since it doesn't follow the protocols of the bitcoin network. The attacker has effectively forked the chain and created an altcoin at that point.

You can ignore Anonymint, he's a troll spreading FUD in order to pump his own altcoin.

Hey , what???
He does have an altcoin?
I thought he was just trolling how bitcoin will fail. Not that he has a better "idea" !
6226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-27 Guardian: 7,500 Bitcoins thrown in bin on: November 28, 2013, 12:55:06 PM
True. One might have to estimate the probability of recovering the data and only get at it if there's a reasonable risk/opportunity ratio Smiley

Actually , isn't this the biggest prank one can think about it?
BTC to 10k , and have a earlier adopter , known for his bitcoin stash claiming he lost his usb drive with an unecrypted wallet in a garbage dump.
10's and 1000's of people foraging there ....
6227  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question about BitPay on: November 28, 2013, 12:52:00 PM
So if they'd use MtGox, that must mean they are able to withdraw dollars to the US then?

I guess I'm asking questions nobody has the answer to, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyways...

Well most probably their withdraws will be treated with a higher priority than everybody else.

That's what I was thinking. That would actually explain a lot of the delays...

Bitpay is based in Us, but they do have some regional offices , so they could deal in Euros also. usd problem solved.
6228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 28, 2013, 12:50:01 PM
LOOOOL, surf the forums, you are just saying the same thing some stupid things that were repeated over and over when we hit $22 at the end of January 2013.

It will at least double again before crashing. And it might very well implode for good at some point, but not before 5 figures.

Mark my words.

I have no option here but to concede the fact that ignorance towards you has cost me at least 10btc. I'm buying in now and will sit tight for the rest of the ride.

Always nice to hear when bears turn to bulls. Congrats! Cheesy

I think he finally found out that we won't go to 50 before we can go up.
Some people are just a bit slow.
But good to see he's ok now.

4 months or so , You're not going to forget , aren't you?
Well , I also did teased him a bit with that a while ago.

Well , isn't he a hero , giving power to the people? Cheesy
6230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh, Great! Assassination Paid For With Bitcoins- "Assassination Market" on: November 28, 2013, 12:43:26 PM
The only thing i'm pissed right now its that he used the name Kuwabatake Sanjuro.
I really liked that movie.

As for the story , time for uncle Sam to arrest a few more terrorist? The FBI will have more bitcoins by the end of the year than Satoshi at this rate.

Bitnacks.com

Please let me know what you think. I know the product selection is very small right now, but we are adding new things to the store as I write this.

We are running a special deal for Bitcoin Black Friday: https://www.bitnacks.com/bitcoin-black-friday-2013

Well , you should somehow let the customer know that he can pay with bitcoins when he enters your website , a dual price maybe.
Or add some meta to your title , that wold improve your Google ranking also.
I wasn't sure about your payments methods  until i hit the checkout button and saw that bitcoin icon.

6233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Final Price of bitcoin to stabilize at? on: November 28, 2013, 12:28:04 PM
Why did you post 50$ and 250$ ?
Want to troll some bears with this?
6234  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-27 Guardian: 7,500 Bitcoins thrown in bin on: November 28, 2013, 12:26:51 PM

Well , silver doesn't get damaged by water. Data on hdd does.

Anyone also notice that in the video, Simon Barber walk like he is physically handicapped.
Eduardo looks like he made his fortune as a pimp.

Are we going to stoop to new lows and attack peoples personal appearance? Come on people...

I've met with some of you IRL and we are not all Bold & the beautiful material...

(but we do expect delivery within the promised timeframe and there is nothing wrong with that)

It's easy to understand , it's like watching a football game when your team loses and you start cursing all the players.
And right now people are not loosing a match , they are loosing money , lots of money with every delay.
It's not nice to see such personal attacks but the situation is quite a powder barrel at this time.
6236  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GoldenTowns.com - Get Paid to Play - Signup/play Bonus - UP TO 1.12 FREE BTC on: November 28, 2013, 12:22:30 PM
do you think he is same as killam the gold seller?  or even all of them lol

It wouldn't make sense. If he were the same as killam he wouldn't have chosen to enter with an Italian ip to play for Italy. It would have been safer to play in Romania which has lots of players so he could avoid a 10% tax.
Also killam was an older anno player and he woudn't risk his account in which he invested a lot in the begginign for such a scam. my 2 BTC
6237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: concerns on the bitcoin system: isn't it TOO perfect? on: November 28, 2013, 10:10:53 AM
Human error caused a fork several months ago via an incompatible wallet upgrade.

No Government on earth will adopt Bitcoin so as long Satoshi has control of his pre-mined. Thanx for the prototype.

NOW THIS is what worries me the most.  HOW can we expect any government to say "fine... lets all usebitcoins" when just ONE PERSON controls 1/6th of all coins, and he's an anonymous kinda person that the government can't "find".  It's sad that he has to have that many bitcoins.

Why do you care what governments say regarding bitcoin? Bitcoin doesn't care. Bitcoin doesn't give a shit.

Also, Satoshi does not hold 1/6th. Probably 5% at best.

Well, wouldn't it be TOO perfect if Iceland adopts Bitcoin as national currency? Yea!......not with [insert entity here] personal pre-mined stash. Just the same, Iceland may one day go crypto-currency, a blockchain maintained by a single State or Union.

I don't like that part , smells like centralized cryptocrap to me.
6238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 28, 2013, 10:08:28 AM
The last hour or two we've lost 1000BTC to $1000 on Bitstamp.
But still 6500BTC to go.

I need coffee !!!!
The first thing I though about it when I read your message was that "you lost 1000 btc on bitstamp".
And that's where some of my coins are. My pulse went up by 50
6239  Economy / Economics / Re: How to fix bitcoin on: November 28, 2013, 10:05:08 AM
@AnonyMint
So it's not a currency , what's the problem? It's a store of value ? It'a a commodity?
People use it , and if they do use it it means it's not broken but useful.
6240  Other / Politics & Society / Re: N.S.A. May Have Hit Internet Companies at a Weak Spot on: November 28, 2013, 10:01:14 AM
Most VPN providers tell you outright if they keep logs, the country they're located in is key.  You can also jump through 2 VPNs for extra security, that way the first one just gets encrypted data for the second one, and the second one can't trace it back to you.  Also be sure to use one with shared IP's for this, or they could just figure out who was using which IP at what time and trace it back.

It will just make the ISP richer , imagine everybody paying 10-20 extra $ a month. Part of those money will go to the major ISPs (which provide the bandwidth for those companies) , and who are the reasons you use VPNs. Smiley
