Halving is very big event but hype of it is even bigger!  Halving is really a very big event as it creates a increased demand among the increasing users. This time the hype is big but none is sure of the reality rise. Everybody is waiting for this big event 'the halving' may I know guys if you have idea of particular value of bitcoin will become after this halving? Or there is no idea of what will happen after this halving? by seeing the price values i hope during halving the price will increase upto $700 and this can further continue after halving and i guess by the year end it can touch near $900. |

Of course it matters a bot coin does have a unstable value what means that the value can be different.
So the price does matter because you can't buy something that costs more than just one coin is worth.
yeah price is the main factor in bitcoin, to my sense buying and selling is completely dependent upon the price values, also people who were holding coins will always wait for the increase in price, so price worth more here. |

Both are currencies and we can use them to buy things around. Dollar is much older, have rich history behind. Btc is like a baby for dollar.
But gold was currency before, then paper money come, why not to believe that btc can replace dollar one day?

I think that at least with current structure bitcoin will never replace usd or other currencies. agreed in future too it is doubt that bitcoin will replace dollar as dollar is the major currency and bitcoin is not even known to most of the countries, if it is known to many people in future the fame for bitcoin definitely increases but it will be in its own virtual nature with more and more adaptors. |

My view is that we will reach $500 during the month of May. This is a realistic price for us to accomplish in this month before approaching halving.
I hope that your words came true...The latest news doesn't affect the price that much... So I think if the price won't go down any lower at $430+ last day, then we are really going for a price rally up... I wish that the price is going to reach $500 this month or at least next month because I am a bit tired of waiting. If the halving would come in now that would ruin some things for me. Have patience bro as it is speculated that we will achieve this value in next couple of weeks or lastly by the end of this month, the only thing now we need is a little patience. i too losing my patience day by day, heard that there will be no drop in price hereafter and speculations were made that price will be $500 by the end of this month, hoping and waiting eagerly for good results. |

Considering this thread opened 2 months ago I found this opinion accurate. We'll see 500$ within 2 weeks. Price is stable over 450$ now and there's no big selling pressure. If you have BTC it's great time to hold, if not you can buy some coins. Personally I wouldn't buy over 460$ but I feel like we'll see 500's sooner than expected.
Yes and it is predicted that we might see this price by the end of this week, as the price has moved in past few days so we can expect this price very soon. i think until this recent satoshi drama ends we can't predict anything. things may go sideways or stay the same stable way. but this month is the month to reach $500 and break the barrier without a doubt. any time is a great time to buy bitcoin. I think when you can make a profit from selling trading then it's a smart choice. sell bitcoin higher than when you bought it. I was a trader, and I have the mindset like that.
everytime is buy time for a trader and investor, as a trader I don't wait for price to come very cheap. I always buy and sell it when price go high. no matter how much high it'll go. because this is the beauty of trading.. you'll get your profit no matter if only 2 or 3 dollar increase, Yeah that is the best way to play with your coins as there is no perfect time to buy or sell and everytime is perfect so just follow your basics and buy when you feel that this is the right time. i feel buying can be a best option according to today's price, i expect that the price will hit $700 to $800 at the time of halving so it will be more better to buy now and sell during price rise. |

Selling Bitcoin is not the best option that you can do now and that is quite bad because there are a lot of people that is still using Bitcoin and they want to make profit.
But they must know that they can wait a really long time until the value will be more and that would be bad.
yeah definitely selling is not the smart move now, just hold and wait for couple of months you can obtain good rewards because the price is not high as much as we expected. don't lose your confidence and wait patiently. |

The price will up and down for the long term. But the trend is up. Today's price is higher than a year ago.

Ha, me too! Don't worry, I suspect when price falls by a dollar or two Kwukduck will be back, warning us that the logical outcome of a 0.5% fall is doooooooooooom. BCT doesn't seem the same without him... I do not mind if the bitocoin price drops $5-10 in a day or two. It is very normal. I will buy more during the dips. You have to be a believer to buy in a dip. But I think the bitcoin value/price will rise in the long term eventually. yeah price instability and volatility is normal in bitcoin, once if it goes low it will rise one day so i believe in bitcoin and buy coins when price is low and i will earn more money when price goes significantly high. |

That's correct, we might see best price anytime in coming months, as price has started to rise now so holding for next couple of months can be more profitable. The movement of the price now is upward so the best strategy is to hold your coins and wait for the best price. Yeah price is moving up now, so holding for halving can be more profitable, as I have a feeling that halving will give us some good news this time. The halving to give good news? Halving is just around the corner and it wouldn't hurt to hold a little longer, much more if you've been holding something that's worth a lot. Though it's not 100% sure that halving will have a positive effect on the price action, the consensus is it's gonna be helping BTC's price to go in an upward direction.
Still we don't know what will be the exact result of halving when it happens. But we are hoping that it will give profit to all of bitcoin users. We just need to wait and believe that halving will give us positive result. I will give the prediction that BTC will end 2017 at a price between $1500 and $3000
I am hoping and believing your prediction will happen on the year of 2017. Much better if the price of bitcoin will end to $3000 by that year. Even it is impossible to believe that price. Still bitcoins unpredictable movement would cause that to become possible by that year. as halving event is programmed in 2016 it is sure a year of bitcoin, we expect a good price rise at the end of this year and if that continues that will be good for its users and by 2017 i hope the value can hit near $2500. |

At initial stage I invested my money in doubler and cloud mining sites, which turned out to be a ponzi schemes and I lost everything that I invested into it.
it seems you should see and reasearch on investment sites that will you use. see if there are signs that the site is the site of a ponzi? do occasionally to try double. if you can not accept defeat That's the basic requirement when investment an amount regardless of how much it is, you should research well the company you are planning to invest, this is to minimize the risk and to be confident with your investment. My idle coins currently do... Nothing really. There are no good investments for them right now, and they can't really develop any more value aside from sitting there and watching the value go up.
Maybe I'll start lending them, but there hasn't been any legitimate means of investing them yet. Maybe I'll find one soon.
use your idle coins in altcoin trading. buy etherium or Raiblocks and hold them for some time and sell them again when price increase. and you can use your idle coins in gambling also. if your luck helps you, you'll win more money from them. there are thousands of ways to use idle coins, just need to do a little research. i just hold my idle coins and wait for price increase before, few weeks back i used it for gambling and am unlucky i lost few of my coins. now I don't have any idea to invest my coins anywhere let me hold them and earn the profits when price rise. |

It keeps stable for a long time and many people dont like it because they want to make profit with it and that is not possible now and we are hoping that the value will higher soon.
And that is because that is the reason why they bought Bitcoin, but it will rise soon because the halving is also coming.

i always prefer to buy as much bitcoins as possible at the moment in order to make a lot of profit in the near future when the price of it will grow significantly in my opinion, hopefully im right about it
Yeah you are on a right track, and I am following the same, as its a feeling that we will see best price at the time of halving, so I am buying at a moment. Selling will be not the best choice that you can make because the value is not even that high now so it would be better if you are going to make an investment in it. So the chance is also higher that you can make more profit with it if you are buying low. Buying with current price would be the smart move to make as price is not too high and if we buy now then we can make some good profits by selling it at higher price in future. Sure selling is not good at this moment, we can buy or simply hold the coins whatever you have and work more to gain some more coins so that you can have good profits at the halving event. |

It's pretty impossible that Bitcoin's price will reach this price ($10k) in the nearest horizon at least. The actual price can showing us that even after the next halving may be the price will not going more than 800$ or so.
by seeing the present situation we can finalize that the price wont go such a greater value, as quoted above reaching $800 at the time of halving is already in a doubt,two more months are there we shall wait, i hope that it will be achieved. |

The halving will let the price rise for sure, I think it will rise to a high amount for sure because of the halving that is coming.
Also if we have to believe some speculators this will also happen.
i believe that halving brings only benefits to its users, i hope that during halving the price will increase upto $800 and even more by this year end giving good profits to its users. |
