6224  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: December 28, 2016, 12:55:44 PM
Well, I feel if someone had wallet access, and saw funds weren't there, (horus) should be liable, yes. If with nothing else, at least for failure to report.

That being said, Coinbase isn't being sued because they saw funds weren't there. They are being sued because they had faulty KYC/AML, knowing Vernon had scammed people, and still allowing him to liquidate. They turned a blind eye to it. That's what the suit claims.

To be fair, if Coinbase did their job properly, they would have locked accounts, or not allowed it, meaning a good chunk of funds would still be there, or at the least, reported earlier, giving feds an opportunity to seize computers or servers early, maybe saving information. Who knows though, it is a what if scenario. Maybe if it was reported, feds still wouldn't have done anything in time, maybe they would have.

I agree, it doesn't directly catch or even help catch (horus), but it does help make investors whole.

It isn't ideal by any means, but at this point, I do not believe any prosecution will reach (horus) unless he comes back to states, but at least it helps some people get money back.

Maybe if we're lucky, china will look into bitebi9 and get him with something there.

 Cool

It's going to be interesting to see the outcome of the coinbase lawsuit. Anything from that will go to people who lost at cryptsy too. They may not get the full 8 million they're asking for, but anything is better than nothing. People just have to remember to actually email and join the class action. Even if you aren't in US, email and join. Some of the documents on the receivership website give proper instructions on how to join.  Lawyers have to give 66.6% back to people. Even if you don't have screenshots, you may be able to get in on action with your word and swearing on how much you had. Worth a shot for sure.

^dude aren't YOU the grifter who helped steal the bitcoins!?--pay up now !  Undecided

" A grifter is someone who swindles you through deception or fraud.

Synonyms include fraudster, con artist, cheater, confidence man, scammer, hustler, swindler, etc. "

You're beating a dead horse man.

If you bothered to read this thread, you would know that.

We all know I drank the koolaid and fucked up by believing my employer, that is already known.

You have added nothing of value to this thread.

In the meantime, I am one of 2 old employees who have done anything at all to help people recover some funds. Thunderjet, Gleb and Spoetnik have contributed as well. I know it isn't all of it, and because of my position I only had so much access which means I could only do so much. The other previous employee had much more access and has helped recover more funds than anyone.

Call scam some more, doesn't change anything.

When you have something of value to share, please feel free to do so.

We will all be waiting.

YOU KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND KEPT WORKING THERE!!!!

DUDE I WANT MY COINS BACK!!!

===>

 I HOLD YOU PERSONALLY ACCOUNTABLE.

I'm reading all these posts to my wife and explaining what's happening. Guess what? She's shows no interest as usual just like the general public.

I suppose she is sick of listening to it all from me for the past few years.

Don't worry!
In a few years when Bitcoin may be worth a shit ton of money she will hang on your lips and listen very closely to almost everything you're saying! Cheesy
Or more likely split and take half, plus part of future earnings.

Ok ok, let's not go down that road please!

Don't worry.
You can ditch this one and get a new, younger, firmer one when bitcoin goes to the moon. (Sorry, couldn't resist).

I think you can find a hot millennial that is tech savvy and be some competition for you, cuz you know.. it will make you better!  Grin

Glad I got out of LISK a few weeks ago - this thread is turning chaotic.
This thread is not a reflection of the reality tbh.

the reality is the lisk "ceo" just bought a big bag of balls!  Cheesy  lol

And what will they do with the byteballs?? I believe the Lisk crowdfund is the biggest holder of byteballs now

We will hold the majority until they are worth something. They are part of the capital of the foundation for future expenses.

how much BTC did you devote to byteballer ?  Grin

More than 12k BTC. And now Lisk foundation hold 2% of all Byteballs.

^so the real purpose of LISK is to acquire/gamble on other shitcoins? lol  Cheesy

^ya offshore tax havens are wayyy outside of my understanding! lmao!!!  Cheesy

Don't mix up everything mate!

Swiss non-profit foundations are subject to ordinary corporate taxes, accounts filling etc... Legal entities (like Lisk) pursuing non-profit purposes can obtain taxes exemption.

An offshore account is for the purpose of tax avoidance, tax evasion or to enjoy relaxed regulations.

this is a FOR PROFIT endevour!  lol ... is LISK now a corporation? -o- yawn

Hi, All
Max linked ICO participates' bitcoin address to get free byteballs, these byteballs should belong to all of ICO participates.

Lisk HQ are free to use the ICO funds in the best possible way. Nothing wrong if a company decide to fructify their investments.

^so they are a "company" now?  Cheesy  lol

Even better! A foundation in Switzerland... But I guess these things are beyond your comprehension Wink

I can honestly say I am not OldmanKidd lol

funny how you are so chummy with him.

===>

 Horus
Admin- Cryptsy.com

 Roll Eyes

This is where I draw the line! No more chummy busy in this thread or I'll ... I'll ... I'll do something, albeit what I don't know.  Tongue

*don't you find it curious how Horus is the one last monkey still running around out of the cage?   Cool   hmmm

Not necessarily.. Jim Shockney was last seen flogging scam coins for Stakeminers / Leroy Fodor / Michael Wilterdink
AKA: JSHock and Cyber Pinoy / Terrik

I believe it was RateCoin.
JSHock was more than happy to go on Social Media singing the praises of this scam coin.
A POS coin taken over by the Stakeminers fraudsters.

Not surprising how chummy they all were before Cryptsy went down though.
I have logs of Pinoy on IRC defending Cryptsy all the way to the end when they closed doors
and those two frauds were on Cryptsy China (that JSHock said they probably sold scripts too)

So, they are all still crawling around in the shadows.
It's just that Horus is the most visible one of the bunch.
I'd say that is a good thing and doesn't make him look as bad as the others.

I think Horus realizes he was blinded (to some extent) and he got carried away with his faith in BigVern.
Horus has been the only one who tried to accept a bit of responsibility over it all.
The rest went into hiding yet still loiter around here doing their shit.

Why would people leave when you were in a position to reap the crypto-rewards ?

Anyway..
I highly doubt OldManKidd is Horus.
They have contrasting personalities i think.

And i noticed Horus had been hanging out on Poloniex long before Cryptsy went down.
So to be fair it's not like he went there simply because Cryptsy was gone.

Not trying to really defend the guy because i have no idea what he is up to.
Just saying what i have seen with my observations.

Also the Rate Coin info can be found on Gleb Gamow's Stakeminers topic (where i seen it)

Know who needs to show her face and answer some questions (aside from the obvious BV / JS) ?
DCGIRL and MULLICK !

Why did DCGirl pop up here after Cryptsy went down and BV fled to China
saying she was in contact over the phone with Paul Vernon in China and she "knows he is a good guy that would never steal the money"

Colossally weird that she of all Cryptsy people is the only one who said she had contact with him.
She was one of the very last to be added as a chat box moderator. (i witnessed them give it to her on chat)
She had always said she "Did web design / graphics" and i am suspicious she was the one behind Cryptsy China or played some part in that.

In other words in the hierarchy of Cryptsy staff.. why is it she of all people had such grand access to BigVern ?
..while he had already left and was now viewed as being on the run evading law enforcement.

Mullick ?
Well all i can say is his absence was a massive red flag when he vanished for damn near a year.
Apparently nobody knew what was going on during his disappearing act (at the same time they claimed to be hacked)

fact: horus and oldmankidd are "linked".

~whereas...just because they are both canadians doesn't mean they are close friends right?  Wink  *stay tuned*

I just linked our ICO wallet with ByteBall. I hope everything works fine, as it was quite a hassle.

For now the BBs will just go into the foundation's assets. We will communicate next year what we are going to do with them.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Max

what ICO wallet? link? ...what do you mean "linked"?  Huh

Essentially free equity in the success of the Byteball project for all those invested in LISK.
