6221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 16, 2019, 08:21:14 AM
I am also curious on the effect of the Antetokounmpo brothers on Milwaukee bucks. I will still be rooting for this team since our MVP is here the "Greek Freak". I know Giannis Antetokounmpo will make his comeback to the finals again.

For sure, the kid got his first MVP and I'm sure he is very inspired to proved that it's no fluke and that his name belongs to the elite now, so yes, during this off season he will re-build again and do hope that he improved more on this shooting.

They are already solid team for me, a dream team, they don't have so much noise making on the drafts, what I only heard was the brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo which is Thanasis Antetokounmpo. For me, making their lineups solid will help them to get to the finals again and top seeder.

Haven't heard much changes on the team this free agency, they wanted to keep the team impact as much as possible which is a good move. They just got their playoff experience already so now they are looking at how the team will go for next season with no disruptions for the core team.
6222  Economy / Economics / Re: FED Chairmain compares Bitcoin to Gold on: July 16, 2019, 08:16:20 AM
I don't think it is proper to compare Bitcoin with Gold. The FED chairman just appeared uninformed or even totally ignorant about Bitcoin when he did that. Bitcoin could be compared to US dollar. That would be a better comparison because both are currencies, the other fiat, the other digital or cryptocurrency. But gold? Bitcoin, in the first place, is not something that is just hidden for no other sake but value appreciation. Bitcoin is meant to be spent as a money.

He actually did acknowledge that Bitcoin could be used as currency, except it's not very widespread. That's probably why they're not that against Bitcoin in the first place -- it's less of a threat to the USD when its main use is as an investment vehicle. I could see them singing a different tune once Bitcoin's use as a currency gains traction.

But it may take sometime though, I mean as much as we wanted to see global adoption, it might take some time. But yeah, definitely, there's nothing wrong with what chairman Powell is saying here.

He didn't say something that we can take it negatively, and we all know for a fact that bitcoin is a relatively safe store of value as compare to gold. I'm sure that goldbugs will resent Powell statement comparing gold to bitcoin, but him seeing the potential as it is, is some kind of assurance that even US is looking at bitcoin and it's potential to be used as a hedge.
6223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is KuCoin Becoming the Best Exchange for Trading? on: July 16, 2019, 08:00:25 AM
After I get the boot from Binance (as a US trader) I will probably turn to Kucoin. It has better liquidity than Bittrex, Poloniex, and others. Decent enough interface. Still offers unverified accounts to US traders with the same withdrawal limits as Binance......not sure how long that'll last though!

Binance cuts us off in two months. I think Kucoin will get a bump in volume at that time.
I wonder why nowadays most exchanges and ICO are now excluding US residents from using their services or investing..? They are losing a huge user base and of course money I've heard it's because of regulations but I couldn't find any clear information about it

Edit: Just found out that 15% of Binance clients are from USA!

As of Kucoin, I would say it's decent but how they manage their own token KCS is nowhere close to how Binance manages BNB; Binance coin has strong utitily and it's tokenomic is very well handled by Binance unlike Kucoin.

US SEC. They still have the duty to protect their citizens from those scammy ICO's, so by law they are mandated. That's why Binance will launch its own trading US based platform. They don't want to missed out the huge US markets.

I agree that Binance is still a cut above those exchanges including Kucoin. Just look at how Binance is really doing, besides the usual shilling, it has a good utility that is why investors are flocking into BNB and Kucoin is just way far behind is second place.
6224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's an all out war : Government Vs cryptocurrencies on: July 16, 2019, 07:52:53 AM
All should be be expecting this kind of hardline stance against crypto, after all they believed that it's going to have a big impact on them specially the banking and financial systems.

So I won't be worrying about it, crypto is decentralised and I doubt that it can be stopped by just a simply tweet or even if US lawmakers are trying to look at it by scrutinising every detail like Libra coin. Government is just protecting itself, but we all know that crypto is very positive.
6225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: INFOGRAPHIC: Most Common Sports Betting Terms Every Beginner Should Know on: July 15, 2019, 11:43:29 PM
Very cool infographic on betting. At least I learnt the real meaning of Parlay from it.  Keep up the good work, newbies especially will appreciate these collection of terms, all are useful.
There’s a lot if things that you can learn from this Infographic aside from the great graphics. If you are into betting then you must read this one whether you’re a newbie or not because for sure you don’t need everything and that’s why you need to keep on learning.

If you are a newbie in gambling, I don't know if you really need to have to learn this terms by the heart. I mean your foremost concern is to make bet and win. As time goes by and as you gained experience, you might be curious as to what these terms are and we could be anyone of this,  Grin

But yes, this is very helpful, and thanks to the OP.
6226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 15, 2019, 11:38:02 PM
That will be suicide if Thurman goes toe to toe with Manny. Others have been saying that this could be similar to Cotto fight. And we all know that Cotto goes toe to toe with Manny in the first 4 rounds and that's it. He got knock down twice and the rest is history.
This is what i am waiting for, a brawl between the two and i do expect that Thurman will run once he taste that Manny's left hook and that cold Manila ice. I just hope for Thurman that he is on target on making the weight now and get out trouble on shading some pounds on the day before the fight for him to save some energy for the fight.

Yeah, we have seen almost everyone who tasted Manny's power toward a backward pedal, lol. Well, he can still go toe and brawl with Manny if he tasted Manny's left, but it will be his eventual downfall.

I wanted Manny to throw that Manilla ice, looks like a jab, but it is too quick for any fighters specially in his prime, Oscar Dela Hoya comes into my mind. Do Thurman though has problem making the weight limit?
6227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 15, 2019, 11:31:18 PM
Everyone seems to think that Lakers will be heavy favorites this season and even if you look at the sportsbooks you see that the second best odds behind clippers is Lakers. Do you guys really think that they would be that good? I mean I know they have Lebron and AD but they had Lebron last year too and didn't even make it to playoffs, so now we put AD on top of it so of course they will become better but second best team in the league type of good? Does getting AD make a team "not playoff worthy" to "second best team" all of a sudden?

It is because Lebron got injured last year. I think they're in the 3rd-5th spot when Lebron got that injury. And as expected, they suffered successive losses and eventually didn't make it. Of course, adding a good elite player will chance the complexion of who is going to be the favourites to win, according to sport bookies.

AD played on Pelicans as well and they were not that good, so 2 players who are definitely good but couldn't make their teams that good getting together makes them second best team? I feel like they would be more like 4th best team on western conference let alone the whole league.

Him and cousins did played good together. But they lack the experience that time, and now with Lebron, at least someone can 'mentor' him.
6228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO becomes successful = ETH will moon? on: July 14, 2019, 11:58:39 PM
Here's the main difference, many start ups were launched on the ethereum blockchain when ICOs became a hit and all of them would accept Eth as payment. For IEOs, many investors use the native tokens/coin of these exchanges to invest in IEOs instead of ETH.

With that said, no, Eth will not necessarily moon if IEOs become successful.

Exactly, I don't think that ETH will moon just because IEO is successful right now. ETH success comes from ICO, which we all know is dead by now because projects are targeting IEO launchpad in order to secure more money.

ETH will moon if they are going to work out with scalability issues. So perhaps when ETH 2.0 will be released in 2020, we might see it hitting or at least reach it's previous all-time-highs.
6229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Question of the day: What is your price prediction for bitcoin ? on: July 14, 2019, 11:53:36 PM
Another wild guesses.

No TA expert here, but I don't see bitcoin hitting $100k soon. And I don't understand why people are making big and exorbitant predictions. Do they really wanted to see another bubble? And we all know that once we hit another bubble, it will soon burst and the price will tank again.

Just let the market goes on it's normal and not artificially inflated price. If we see $20k by the end of the year then good for all of us, if not then at least adjust and be flexible, just saying.

6230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mark Yusko: Bitcoin can go up to $ 30,000 without correction on: July 14, 2019, 11:41:30 PM
Mark Yusko said in an interview that Bitcoin price can go up to $ 30,000 without correction.

What's your take on this?

he thought wrongly, because now it is proven that the price of Bitcoin is down (correction) so that what Mark Yusko said was wrong and in my opinion it is impossible for Bitcoin prices to increase very high without making correction, because every coin price including Bitcoin will definitely be corrected when the price increases very high, so I don't believe what Mark Yusko said if the price of Bitcoin will increase to $ 30,000 without correction.

Of course, who would believed that the price will continue to grow overtime without any market correction. Technically we won't see the price going on parabolic rise so him saying that is just complete non-sense.

So I don't know if people would ever believed on his predictions. Mark Yusko is just exaggerating maybe because he has a lot of investments on bitcoin so it makes sense for him to really come up with those outlandish guesses.
6231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao Now Stands as Favorite vs Thurman — Sportsbooks on: July 14, 2019, 11:36:03 PM
Pacquiao also very hard on his training and also so much focus just on boxing. The fight is very soon. Therefore. Soon also we will know if who will win in that fight.

Manny is very ready to fight even right now. I just do hope that he won't overtrain as there are a lot of reports coming from Philippine media that Manny is already at the peak of his training already and as I have said can fight anytime, anywhere.

For me as the fight takes longer, I think it will favoured Pacquaio as he has the stamina and Thurman is not known for having a good gas tank.
6232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Ranking Website on: July 14, 2019, 12:13:47 PM
Is the any bounty ranking website? It would be better to have one, if not, I am thinking of be creating one. Can you guys please share me some if there is any bounty ranking platform?

I guess there's some but I don't think that ranking would be helpful, I don't know what criteria they will use in making a ranking and I think a ranking does not give any assurance to the bounty hunter's success. Honestly, most of what I can see are just a list of bounty available, that combined from bounty here in the forum and outside the forum, but I'm not interested in joining bounty that has no announcement in the forum as members in this forum are more interactive.

Exactly, ranking doesn't matter, what matter most is that who are the people behind the project bounty. Maybe you can rank them as high as you can but at the end the are going to scam then something is wrong.

No one can stop OP from creating his idea, but I don't know if the community will support it, just saying.
6233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] Facebook Fake/Scam Giveaways! on: July 14, 2019, 11:54:42 AM
No legit website ask money to be deposited from our side to receive the gift so one who is dump enough to trust these kind of giveaways really need lessons.

You will be surprised that there are still a lot of noobs who still fall for this kind of tricks. Because greed, their decisions are clouded, seeing that they are going to make their bitcoin double.
6234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Level by August 1 on: July 14, 2019, 11:49:17 AM
It's 2019 now and since the start of the year, the sentiment is bullish. I expect Bitcoin to be somewhere $14,000 to $18,000 by August 1, 2019. I am getting ready now.  Grin

Sometimes its really fascinating to see this kind of thread it's old but nothing has changed. I'm still recalling what had happened earlier than year, Winklevoss ETF was denied in February or March and then April Japan entered the pictured.

Edit: Most probably because of the BCH fork on August and people here that time are speculating on what could be the price.

Anyways, that year was bullish so we might compare it to 2019, Same similarities in patterns, so we just hope that at the end of this year, $20k is possible.
6235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: July 14, 2019, 10:58:25 AM
Of course, you can win in gambling all of us one time or another experienced winning in gambling, but we cannot win all the time and we cannot expect to win even though we want to win, because we do not have control of the outcome, we cannot win in gambling all the time but we can enjoy playing every time.

My simple explanation why we don't win all the time or even most of the time is because of the house edge, and the fact that we cannot eliminate that, we will continue to loss. We should learn through our experience, money is important so the moment we start gambling, we should already convince ourselves that the amount we risk is something that we can afford to lose, that's the right words, not willing to lose as no one is willing.

Or if are lucky that they and was able to overcome the big odds against you, then you need to exit and not to play and enjoy your winnings.

The more time to spend, high chances that you will loss everything that you should have won already. This is the part that I learn many many years ago, not to chase loss and not to chase more money.
6236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 14, 2019, 10:46:34 AM
How interesting the previous match it will be more fun and entertainment if anyone is like me then share your thoughts because I am not a complete interested person in NBA but the previous match was very interesting for me.

You are late mate, you just go go back read and see the discussions of the previous finals. Anyone read the news that OKC is looking for Paul to be traded ASAP?

https://sports.yahoo.com/report-thunder-looking-to-trade-chris-paul-as-soon-as-they-can-175335760.html

The report says that the potential team should be Miami, oh well, too bad for this veteran point guard, I mean he can still play but it looks like OKC just wanted to get rid of Westbrook. And then will trade CP3 to build a new roster for next coming years and definitely the ageing play maker is not part of it.

I feel bad for Chris.

What's up with that? He's still doing great. I don't know what to say, all I know is that obviously, with that big contract, deals will be hard to lay out.
Building a team needs to have a huge cap so if that's how OKC will deal to CP3 then he don't have any other options for that he just need to go with the flow and play to whichever teams he will be landed, who knows, maybe he can manage to takeover and make a good hype to his career playing to a new team

He can still play but I don't think he is getting the same treatment as others veterans in the game. Slowly they are going to exit and might retire unless he really finds a good team that will suit him the best.

And with the last contract on his head, I don't know if they are willing to take the risk. Because we all know that teams are looking for fresh recruit as their foundation on building a new team and CP3 is too old for that.
6237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 14, 2019, 10:34:39 AM
~snip~

I don't think that Federer was favorite against Nadal.
Nadal was very close to bring match in the fifth set and in that case I think that Nadal would turn the match to his advantage.
Federer already said after match that he is tired and I'm not sure how much he can recover until Sunday.
Djokovic is obvious favorite on Sunday but we shouldn't underestimated Federer.

It's not very easy to pick a winner when it's a match between Federer vs Djokovic or Djokovic vs Nadal or Federer vs Nadal. The one who will in best shape in the match day he will win. I hope one day off will pay off for Federer. It's hard to ignore the age factor.

In fact, we know that Nadal is always a big favorite in Roland Garros and Djokovic in Wimbledon, if he is ready 100 %, without some personal issues.
Federer long time didn't win some Grand Slam and it's obvious that his time passed.
Of course, he still have chances to win today.

How can you say that Federer didn't win for a long time? He won the title in 2017. Last year was Djokovic. Besides, Federer still holds the record here, winning eight as compare to Novak with 4.

Djokovic has some problems as well beginning early 2018 and Federer just chooses tournament he wanted to enter that is why he is still in better shape as of today. So I think Federer can a good chance to win and can pull the trigger as shown during his win against Nadal.
6238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency are gonna disappear on: July 08, 2019, 12:26:41 PM
In the first 10 years, bitcoin didn't disappear, so you guys think that in the next 10 years it will suddenly became obsolete?

I understand the obsession with blockchain technology, every minor and major companies are joining the bandwagon and replacing their legacy systems because they heard so much positive about this technology. However, saying crypto in general will disappear, I doubt it, even Facebook, a multi billion company wanted to enter the picture with their Libra coin next year.
6239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Campaign After Getting Listed on: July 08, 2019, 11:57:01 AM
I notice that some coins that are already in the market are doing bounty campaign again like Credits, Veil Eterbase and among others, do you think it's important for a coins/tokens that are already listed to run a bounty campaign from time to time even if they are already listed in exchanges.

I think it will be very good to run bounties from time to time. I remember IOST last year, they run like 8 weeks campaign to revived their coins. And sure enough IOST enjoyed successes during that time because the price suddenly pumps making everyone happy.

Credits is interesting though, I don't know when was their last campaign, 2017? If so I guess it's about time to have another bounty and test the waters and see how investors are going to react.
6240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Free Exchanges Fees? is this Possible. on: July 08, 2019, 11:50:12 AM
Its impossible. If any exchanger go for free fees.then exchanger should pay the fees. because to make a tx need some fees to confirm that tx.Also exchanger owner pay hosting bill domain bill, also they have some staff and worker.if they make free fees then that exchanger can't survive

Perhaps when an exchange was still in the beginning of their career, they might employed this so called free trading to attract potential customers.

But in a business standpoint, it is suicide if you do everything for free, it doesn't make sense at all. Server maintenance, the opsec, where do the owner will get the money to pay for them to keep the business alive and running well?
