6221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambling black market thrives in Britain on: February 05, 2021, 09:47:13 AM
We sort of do it all the time in Asia I guess. But it is not like in movies where you go place bets with dirty guys smoking and all that, it is usually just sms to a number, they take your bet and you just pay with mobile money:)

Small time people do it part time all the time. Offer better odds or no fees (gambling here takes 15% entertainment tax).
6222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: $60+ in fees for a single withdraw. Could exchanges survive this? on: February 05, 2021, 09:09:02 AM
I think people are getting smart now. They're exchanging into USDT or some other stablecoins and then moving it out for a few dollars, then exchanging back. They still lose on fees but it's faster and not as painful as $50 and still waiting for confirmations.

I think Layer 2 is also going to be more popular in future.
6223  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: February 05, 2021, 07:55:36 AM
Good call DarkStar_! Actually I only recently found out you can find not only the specials but SuperBoosts if you just check Rewards > Price Boosts tab.

Thanks, I had no idea there was such a tab, I looked today and it's a Super Boost on Bayern Match. Odds are mostly towards Bayern, of course, and if you see the stats, it's difficult to see anything but an outright win. Could be tight, or could be another goal party but I picked a Serge Gnabry to assist 1+ at 5.42, very good odds with Super Boost to me:)

Opted in to Superbowl. What a huge prize! Anyone dare to bet on no TDs?Wink
6224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2021, 07:04:08 AM
Don't forget to make your picks! Alaves and Valladolid are the first games for Friday. I actually am going to start following the odds again now and maybe pick draws if the odds are too tight. Let's see if this makes a difference to my predictions scores. Or if luck again plays around with the scores. I give up on strategy:)
6225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptos are coming to physical Slot Machines - IGT received the patent! on: February 04, 2021, 02:02:51 PM
Interesting how this project is gonna turns out in the future and how it is going to affect bitcoin.
-snip-
I honestly don't think it has much of an impact. People who play games in classic casinos are probably not the ones who are heavily invested and/or interested in the crytpo space. Especially with crypto casinos, everything happens online, starting from the deposit to the communication with the community (chats, ...) to the games themselves.

In my opinion, the whole thing only has potential when crypto is so mainstream that virtually everyone uses it. But we are certainly still a few years away from that Smiley

I mentioned earlier I think it's big news. But not so much about affecting Bitcoin price or anything. But maybe a start to marrying offline and online gambling. See, people who gamble with crypto online let's say don't go to real casinos. But, if they happen to pass by casinos or are visiting countries for tourism and there are casinos with crypto machines. I don't know, I'd be very curious to at least try:)

Like you said though, many more years.
6226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: February 04, 2021, 12:55:03 PM
Seems people still believe in XRP. Also seems there is no big deal for them with the current lawsuit. Another point that many traders and investors think that since its price is very less, it can be accumulated in huge numbers, and in the future, it may give good returns.
Let's see how it goes.

Speculators are speculators. Crypto people were investing in scam tokens knowing they were scams. Investing in ICOs they had no clue about. IEOs just because they were promoted everywhere.

Defi because they know they can get in early and make a killing.

XRP looks like that. Something cheap to buy to make a killing when the lawsuit is forgotten.
6227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 04, 2021, 12:04:41 PM
The Barcelona team is reducing its reliance on Messi by this I mean that Griezmann was not in the form before, if Messi had not scored or assisted, it would have been very difficult to win against the small team of Barcelona. But now Barcelona seems stable enough. De Jong, Pedri, Griezmann are all able to score now.

But clearly from the highlights, Messi was still involved in everything! Which is nice to see of course but it keeps me worried that the successor is yet to be identified. I mean, that magic feet and brain my god.

Still, they did really well to come back from 2 goals down though but I wonder if the extra 30 minutes will not be helpful for them to stay fresh.

6228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with 'Selling early' regrets? on: February 04, 2021, 10:55:35 AM
You have nailed it excellently; and to even add few words; it is not even selling early; it is selling in profit; for example, if i buy a coin at 5$ and then in 100 days, it worth's 50$; i have sold in profit; after another 100 days, it worth's 100$; why then should i worry or have regrets ?

Crytpo currency investment is all about taking profits and moving to the next token or wait for the bear; never attach emotions

Actually, it's not even about the profit. Selling simply means realizing your capital. $100 in orderbooks is still $100 in imaginary numbers. You only have it in hand available to withdraw when you sell.

Sometimes the regret is about making losses, but the important thing is to keep to stop loss and TP. Not to dream and never realize p/l. Easy to forget for most traders that they came and traded using strategy to make consistent gains, not to make X amount of money.

Freebitco.in has the power to sustain that kind of sig camp and beyond. They have been around for years. The names you mentioned are little potatoes when compared with freebitco.in. In fact, few months ago somebody shared an article in this topic. Freebitco.in is actually world's biggest crypto casino and probably one of the biggest among all online casinos.

I wouldn't exactly call Betfair or even some of the names mentioned there as little potatoes though;) I do agree Freebitcoin's really awesome but it's really in a kind of class of their own I would say. Started as a faucet site, now has loads of different betting options. Very popular still because you can win $200 every hour for a click. But a bit weird to truly compare side by side to Betfair or Stake or others mentioned there.
6230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Basic questions on: February 04, 2021, 08:57:17 AM
Dude if you wanna go p2p, start with Localbitcoins. Go get verified and then trade with also verified people who recently completed trades. There's an escrow system with a method to arbitrate in case anything goes wrong.

Crypto and internet are riddled with scammers. Trust no one. Trust tech, escrow.

@kotajikikox What's the point of adding ADA and all the other altcoins? The big 4: BTC, ETH, LTC and DOGE will always be first choice because users already have them, probably use them for a lot more than gambling, and there are good liquidity to be found on any exchange, even small unregulated ones. Can't imagine people investing ADA at BV either!
6232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum now on the 55th spot of top asset by Market Cap on: February 03, 2021, 02:51:27 PM
I think much more important for ETH now is not to go on breaking new ATH ground but to hold old ground. 1k is still the crucial support line if it holds this all through 2021, then people will feel more confident about going above 2k. Don't forget it went from 1400 to 70, thereby losing 95% of its value before.

That still means it's possible to drop from 2000 to 100:)
6233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptos are coming to physical Slot Machines - IGT received the patent! on: February 03, 2021, 12:55:52 PM
This is pretty big news actually because up til now there hasn't been a way for crypto gamblers to go to casinos and actually wager their coins. Not sure how the reception would be but I guess eventually, crypto gamblers will be accepted everywhere. Then gambling and crypto will become synonymous not just on the internet. Brilliant!
6234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 03, 2021, 12:14:51 PM
I was half expecting to see that one of you managed to get correct score on United game Smiley What a game for me to miss, I was actually playing football after more than a year pause and just checked the results later and went WTF. First Arsenal shoots themselves in the foot and loose while getting 2 red cards and than Southampton looses 9:0.

Did you guys see Linaker twitter, laughed my ass off:
"Good heavens, Southampton haven’t been beaten 9 nil since last season."

That is a funny quote for real.I saw the guy at the top of the standings so far for this round with 7 points from the 4 games of today. That is quite insane from the results of yesterday games.

I totally forgot they got beaten as badly last season too by another former EPL champion! I wonder which was worse for them, but giving United 8 different players to score, it was like they were just taking turns to score. This is truly, truly, a coronavirus season. I wonder what the odds were for United to win by that scoreline. 200/1 at least! If there was even any bookie doing it.

Or United next to score on live betting. Phew!
6235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherum overtake bitcoin marketcap? on: February 03, 2021, 10:46:04 AM
When viewed from the ethereum ecosystem and demand, I do think there is an opportunity to overtakes bitcoin from number 1,
but it should be noted that Bitcoin is not just a coin, but the core of the blockchain is Bitcoin, so the mother of all coins in the crypto world is bitcoin mate, Even though Ethereum has a perfect ratio of almost 100% I believe the chance to overtakes is only 1%.

The opportunity has always been there, but it needed to fix a lot of issues. Scalability will be the one ETH 2.0 directly takes over, but the real key for me is utility beyond gambling and defi apps (which are the same to a lot of people let's be honest). Dapps need to be much more diverse than what they currently are.
6236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why was Musk so late to the party? / or Publically support BTC on: February 03, 2021, 10:11:06 AM
Probably just because he was previously skeptical, and something just clicked. It’s most probably just mere coincidence, but his support of BTC came out after the Robinhood-GME fiasco. I wouldn’t be surprised if that ended up being the final straw for Elon to recognize the importance of a free market.

I think most investors are like him. It's not so much whether he's a skeptic or not, he has advisors around him telling him the risks and potentials, and if anyone has an inch of financial brain power, they know it's wise to invest a little bit in Bitcoin. The tech is impossible to ignore. The decentralization of the future impossible to miss.
6237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge? XRP? ETH? All Shitcoins. Read this Thread I will make you rich on: February 03, 2021, 08:43:44 AM
XRP on the other hand is coin of the Ripple company and they could be investigated unlike the other two coins you named, and if Ripple company bankrupts that means XRP is worthless, which is why this SEC investigation is important and makes XRP risky. Doge on the other hand is a lower level coin and it is a "meme" coin and doesn't really stand for anything but for just giggles, you could invest into it for that reason but buying it for profit is still risky.

I still don't get why people don't see the end game for Ripple. Either they stay alive somehow, fight off debts and lawsuits, and still make money from their investors by dumping as indiscrimately as possible. Or they eventually lose the legal battles and go bankrupt as you said. Leaving thousands of bagholders to cry. I prefer Doge because it doesn't has this risk even.
6238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 03, 2021, 08:07:59 AM
Man Utd required to get back and win their matches if they still want to keep contending for the EPL title. Southampton looks to be as challenging as they get but they couldn’t take in any points from the big teams.Their last defeat against Aston Villa left them on their downward spiral.
It's true that Manchester United struggles at their home games however I don’t think they can be always on this path and keep this form at home going if they really wants the title. I expect over2.5 goals and a home win.

Such an unlucky red card for Southampton, they and Arsenal totally lost their heads last night. Didn't watch the games at all but the highlights must be something interesting so will watch that soon today when I find the videos but I don't know, in premier league you shouldn't lose 9-0. Well done Red Devils!

Lol... Cheesy I thought me, I take about 115$/BTCTC and buy 2500 such "FUN-Tokens", to enter the premium membership...
Immediately I directly made a loss after my purchase!  Shocked

Oh wow damn, that seems like quite a lot of movement going on but quite natural I think for a speculative asset (which FUN really is at the moment). As soon as utility is recognized though people might get a bit less inclined to trade on it just like that and just stake for the benefits!
6240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 02, 2021, 03:41:01 PM
I think Arsenal will win this game. They played well against Manchester United, a little unlucky with goals. This time the Gunners will score their goals. I'd love to see the newcomer from Real Madrid in action.
The kid Odegard played against Manutd last weekend he was little bit lusty well it was a difficult game so I keep my finger closed. Arsenal always beat Southampton and I don't expect anything to change this period too. I may put a little bet

Arsenal are playing Wolves tonight and yeah I think they should win this one nicely. The game to watch though is United Southampton. Good teams with some recent struggles. Both sides putting on somewhat okay performances in the last 2 games. Both need to win to keep motivations up.
