6241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 29, 2019, 12:28:18 AM
It most likely would happen. 2021ish or so would be the date of such events again since halving is 2020. Questions would be about how the world would adopt to BTC this time. Plus, how big would the crash be after the bull run since I'd expect a bubble like for that years bullrun.
I'm expecting it again but not set up a specific timeline where it should happen since it doesn't make sense. It will happen no matter what and you have thousands* of reasons to believe in that.

I want to see the repeat as healthy and not just because it was driven by hype.
Indeed. Id rather see a repeat that could maintain itself where stability is a priority instead of reaching another ATH for only a moment. It will happen sooner or later indeed, but a specific timeline could be linked to the same past events. First halving, after a year resulted ina bullrun. 2nd halving, resulted in the 2017 bubble. We could at the very least expect somekind of same events happening at 2021 which is a year after 2020.
6242  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: October 28, 2019, 12:43:09 PM
I think this will make the world economic conditions improve because any transaction you want will not be difficult anymore because all transactions will be very easy when all payments can be paid using cryptocurrency which is proven to be more efficient and its use is very easy and transactions become fast.
Crypto isn't the first one to do that. They're called virtual currencies and crypto is included in that. And they're already quite widespread. Banks also use this way, by the cooperation of the banks and the shop, clients could freely  link their accounts and banks would automatically reduce their bank allowance through such a system. Crypto is much preferred because of the complete control clients have on them.
6243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc mining on: October 28, 2019, 11:55:07 AM
Coimbase or Binance. Both of them are at the top and are both well known exchanges so you can rest assured with quality of service and trust.
As for trading techniques, I'd suggest making your own after analyzing and researching the market. Your very own trading technique is a lot better than using someone else's after all.
I don't know much about mining but you can go ask for specific help on the mining forum here on bitcointalk.
6244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Telegram channel bulk invite members? on: October 28, 2019, 09:40:06 AM
Can't you leave the link to your group somewhere (website, thread, etc...) or just send them an email with it?

The only qay I know that could potentially be called a way to "mass invite". Its efficiency depends on the amount of influence your telegram project could do though IF it is a project. If it's just for a community or such, just send them an invite link. As for projects, i wouldn't recommend accepting external help to invite people into your group since that defeats the purpose of your telegram group.

In the end, you'd need influence to be able to let a telegram group prosper and grow.
6245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: INFOGRAPHIC: Crypto Trading Terms Beginners (& Even Veterans) Should Know on: October 28, 2019, 06:39:57 AM
Nice infographics. Well detailed. Op could try to split the general terms like BTC, Altcoin, etc to Market terms such as bear, bull, dead cat bounce, etc. It'll be a lot easier for readers since it is categorized on each of its specialization instead. You can also add mining terms such as hash, node etc and such.
Overall though, great job.
6246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provable fairness in Player vs Player (Be Cautious) on: October 28, 2019, 05:49:22 AM
The problem is that most players aren't smart enough to detect when there is a flaw in the provably fair schemes or algorithms.
Most of them will be satisfied by reading the magic words "Provably Fair Game" and a page full of BS like hash, id, secret...
I am persuaded that 90% of users will not realize that the example you posted isn't fair.
That's because most gamblers don't see the need to understand the algorithms and logic behind a certain process. And I don't blame them. In the first place, gambling was supposed to be a way to earn profit while having fun or releasing stress every now and then after all.

It's also very difficult to prove the effectiveness of certain gambling sites since most users don't even bother researching about them and even if they do, at times, they at times get the wrong information due to spammers spreading information that a scam site is a legit one.

These kinds of posts are very helpful yet most likely go unnoticed by beginners or newbies since they basically don't understand it. They may try to read it, but it is way too difficult to understand without the prior knowledge of some of the technicalities behind the logic.
6247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take advantage BTC Pump and Dump in short period? on: October 28, 2019, 04:48:30 AM
You simply buy high, sell now.
The short answer you needed very much. Although you get small profits, it is nonetheless profit but I'd still recommend long term investments instead of short term ones. Plus, you gotta know how to read the graph and analyze, predict and guess where the chart will move after the 1 hr mark, 3hrs, 5hrs, 10hrs and more. Basically you gotta stay on the move and always be on the spot analyzing the charts. You basically can't remove yourself from reviewing the chart since any change that is done could be a potential profit for you.
So yea, anything a short term investor needs is also needed by a long term one so I'd suggest going for a long term one instead.
6248  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Rational Price For BTC on: October 28, 2019, 04:15:28 AM
I don't understand how you related hash rates to the current price for BTC. I'm pretty sure that like every other coin out there, BTC price is determined by simple supply and demand though. Even if we do think of Rational Price as something different from normal price, determining it based on Hash rates seems to be wrong. The recent news and events affect supply and demand so if we kind of force it, we can say that it indirectly affects the price and thats quite a legitimate explanation.
Besides, Miners are just like us, speculating on BTC price. I doubt they could set the price of BTC depending on hash rates involved even if they wanted to.
6249  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning ! Don't handover your fund to third party. on: October 28, 2019, 02:55:04 AM
No doubts OP was a stupid.
Summarised what I felt. Like really, If the forum or even crypto itself was new, I'd understand. I'd get it. There weren't such cases or there weren't enough clues that could lead to that since everyone just wants crypto to progress. But hell, it has been a decade already. A lot of cases as such have been done already, and a lot has already fallen victim and has spread the news about it. Why are people still falling for it? Even in normal trading, a 150% gain is almost impossible to give to an investor, let alone in crypto. OP was way past being called a newbie, I'd agree to a comment made here. It's close to the point of him being called naive instead.

Long story short, Stop looking for short term profits where projects give out more than a 100% return. If your gonna go and let others trade for you, well DONT. No matter how much time you need to learn, thats a lot better than letting a third party handle your funds. Go learn and trade yourself. At least if you lost, you have nothing but to blame your lack of analysis. If you lost it through a third party, thats worse, you have nothing but to blame your stupidity.
6250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: League of Legends Worlds 2019 10/22/19 update on: October 28, 2019, 02:23:58 AM
I know a lot about them.

There's a possibility that the final match will be SKT vs IG.
G2 eSports was a good team but I think SKT will win over them. Invictus Gaming have also experiences in team fights because they already a World champion in 2018. Griffin is just a new team but strong enough to battle with them, EU groups can don amazing things that's why I'm also rooting for them.

Still, in terms of team fights and the ability of each player, SKT T1 will be the next champion for me.
Indeed SKT vs IG again let us show them. The finals last time was disappointing since IG basically dominated FNC. FNC has talent and strength but they always choke when they are needed the most. Like now, They friggin got dominated by FunPlus Phoenix which was really disappointing. I was rooting for FNC this year but they got destroyed before even facing their enemies last year, IG or even before facing SKT. They choked really hard this time.
6251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: October 28, 2019, 01:33:35 AM
I'd guess by don't reach to the fluctuations means don't panic? As traders, we must always naturally react to changes in the market since our plans that we have set may be changed depending on the market fluctuation. Besides, Reacting is not solely limited to panic buying or selling after all, so OP's topic may seem a bit confusing.

Although I get the idea, those that panic in face of fluctuations are either short term investors or those that are newbies to trading. Most people who have experienced HODLing over the 2017 bubble should be already quite experienced with such fluctuations and should be able to react positively to such events.

We have been doing same mistakes again and again  ...

If you did it few times you should learn. Everyone need to do few trades to understand that he is a small fish and that Whales will eat him. You learn best by doing it.  OK some people are smart enough and know how to listen. For the rest of us we need to learn on our mistakes. But if you repeat same mistake again and again, then I dont really know what to advise you beside to visit your doctor and ask him to get you a specialist.
Indeed, get a specialist. You need help. Like immediately. It's like you lost the basic inheritance of a human being who learns from his/her own mistakes.
6252  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: October 27, 2019, 11:26:18 AM
There is actually a statement, specifically the IRS 2014-21 where all virtual currencies are subjected to tax still. Therefore, stating that buying using BTC or any other crypto, is in fact, still liable to tax. As for the specifics, I don't really know but the 2014-21 already states that existing tax principles apply to transactions using virtual currency. The taxable events are Cashing out, Paying using crypto, Exchanging one crypto to another or Receiving mined crypto. These are some I just looked up in google and you can search for more information if you want specifics.
6253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Profiting Short/Longterm betting Sports. on: October 27, 2019, 10:21:57 AM
I’ve been making bank betting sports for several years, but I have been told that my time in this world is almost up

I've gambled on US sports since 2011. There were a few times when I successfully took a bankroll of $20 and turned a 16x profit into $320 for fun. Those days could be gone. Levels of corruption in the officiating, judging and regulation of sporting events have skyrocketed making it difficult to be profitable. Athletes themselves appear to be trending towards becoming more corrupt and compromised.

In the past, I would watch sporting events and often be inspired by the level of professionalism and pride athletes took in competing. Sports these days are becoming harder to watch. Standards are on the decline, at least in the united states. Are similar trends being manifest elsewhere in the world? The US does exhibit oppressive regulation as far as sports gambling goes, while the rest of the world adopts far more liberal policies.
I concur. Corruption and intential loss of games are most often than not happening already in a few types of sports here and there. Though I'd have to say that sports betting can't be really called gone, well at least not yet I think. Sports are pretty much the passion of and the entire lives of players already and well, Players being corrupted can be solely attributed to personal reasons or at the very least, influence of a bad manager.

I like the Idea of OP with the safety net. Having to take your losses and implementing a plan to at the very least recoup your loss should be a basic plan of a gambler. Especially if you're calculating the odds yourself, since everything is basically on your hands. As for making a living with sports betting, I'd hardly doubt it though, I'd rather advise be a sports analyst or sports commentator or something. Could be a lot more useful and your research could be quite entertaining to other people.
6254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Latest "Fall" Was Manipulated on: October 27, 2019, 09:04:57 AM
Neither one was surprising to me, to be honest--but both were pretty dramatic.
Yes. The rise and fall didn't really warrant a surprise. The rise was surprising a bit because it rose after just a few hours in contrast to my belief that it would gradually rise though. The last fall happened because of a sudden dump of coins in some exchange that resulted in exceeding the demand needed, and that's why the price adjusted itself normally. On the other hand, the rise could be about the recent news of China or the one about Bakkt, or it couldn't, but the price was way too much and seeing from now, its gradually stabilizing, going back to its average price where the market could fully accept it, for now that is.
6255  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Napapanahon bang bumili ng altcoin? on: October 27, 2019, 06:10:28 AM
Maraming murang Altcoin lang pero expect mo na either super tagal bago ka mag profit or maybe even never ka mag profit. Walang magandang altcoin na iinvest na mura kasi risky, pero same risk ka rin naman dun sa ibang matataas. As for altcoin season welll... It depends? Masyadong maraming tao ngayon yung nakaattention kila BTC since the halving is pretty much half a year na lang. Mas maganda na mag BTC ka na lang since sure na may profit, since basically the same lang sa altcoin since di naman often na makikita mo na super laki mag taas ng price ang mga alts.
6256  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Cryptocurrency Trading for Beginners on: October 27, 2019, 05:53:45 AM
Interesting. The rebalancing idea got me but there are still a few questions lingering like is the performance done by the automation accurate? Is it possible that it may not be able to rebalance? Like when BTC goes to 40%, where would it get funds to retake it to 50%? From the previous example lets say, it would take it from the LTC one? but then it would make the LTC balance go down right? So doesn't that mean that it would need my funds to maintain the balance? Does that mean that I would leave a certain amount of balance in the automation that would automatically be used whenever the coin is imbalanced? What if a market crash happens in a slow amount of time? could that possibly lead me to a loss instead? Not gonna lie it sounds an interesting idea but I'd rather have beginners study how to trade themselves before using such bots. Imo, such bots are better used by those professional traders since they could think up of many complicated situations that would require more assistance than what a bot can provide.
6257  Economy / Speculation / Re: some people love imagining doomsday when there is any drops! on: October 27, 2019, 04:46:53 AM
Sometimes it's just exhausting to see people saying BTC is dead, BTC will fall to 1k, OMG BTC will fall to zero because of bla bla bla...

It's the same thing every single time BTC drops, and I'm surprised that even people who are here for more than 1 year still believe in this kind of news
Indeed. Its questionable why they are even here in the first place. Its been so long since BTC has existed and people still believe that with its influence it would drop to 1k? even 4k is an underestimation of what BTC could do. The drops happening of late is just a part, not the entirety of it. BTC would bounce back up and most of us have already recognized that the latest drop was a manipulation of the whales or at least close to it. Even the bouncing back up recently was quite unbelievable and I still believe it would go down and stabilize around 8k - 8.5k$.
6258  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's still going down (Oct 26, 2019) on: October 27, 2019, 03:37:02 AM
Not really surprising. The rise was way too unnatural and the market naturally wouldn't hold that up without any foundation. It seemed kind of heavily manipulated after all and being manipulation as it is, would only result in a temporary uprise and would slowly stabilize until the market could accept it. imo it should stop going down by 8000$ or so. Should be a reasonable margin for the market to accept since the last dump made it go to 7500 and the latest pump made it go to 10k dollars but almost immediately went down after, so yup.
6259  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: October 27, 2019, 02:57:17 AM
Well, its a matter of perspective to be honest. Fiat is still quite useful to us now since its a nationally accepted medium of trade in the world. On the other hand, if you look past its usefulness, for now, it is actually riddled with holes. The fact that the government freely reproduce fiat leads to national debt growing ever so much and we don't actually have the capability to pay it off, leading to a huge negative on the debt. There is also the factor of corruption, wherein the end, the government is at hand. Plus, there is also inflation to think about. I honestly thought money was just money in the past but ever since being part of this community, I've seen a lot of how the background of money works and whoa, I was lied to. By quite a lot not gonna lie.
6260  Local / Pamilihan / Re: (HYIP) LASON sa imahe ng Crypto on: October 27, 2019, 02:02:00 AM
To be fair, lahat ng scam is nakakasira sa image ng crypto. All types ng loss regarding sa money na napupunta sa crypto is kinasisira niya. And we can't really do anything about it since walang nag cocontroll sa crypto kaya pag dumarami rin yung mga users, dumarami rin yung mga hackers. Its kinda both the negative and positive of crypto at times talaga hahah. Kaya nga concentrated yung mga warnings and tips sa mga users themselves since most of the time, pag nawalan ka pera, it probably is your own fault na lang. Crypto is good, don't get me wrong. Pero yung fact na decentralized siya is what makes it scary sa eyes ng mga non-crypto enthusiasts/users.
