6261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 20, 2019, 04:23:08 PM
Dwight on ths hand, he is still agile. It wont be a problem for the Lakers since AD is there. It will just low minutes for this centers. I bet they will go small when AD is on the floor.

In fairness to Dwight, looking at his stats, his average on the last season he played (2017-2018) as a big man is good (16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.3 assists) and still can consider as a decent stats for a post-prime player at a center position.

However, that was before his injury last year + hamstring issue just last March this year. He just played 9 games last season (November 2018).

I just hope that the time he spent on recovery will yield a good result.

And besides, even Cousins didn't suffer an injury recently, his position has limited time so don't expect Howard to be in full court for more minutes. In other words, they are just backup centers as Lakers are used to play now without a big man. We all know that there's no much post-up play when LeBron is on the floor.

The last thing the lakers need is someone clogging the lanes.  Stats aside they only tell one story, I wouldn't take d Howard, it will only hurt the team.  At least cousins can play outside the lanes which that might have worked.

Good point, but Lakers did gave Javale McGee one of his best seasons in the centre position and even he didn't hurt the Lakers because they have plays design for him to score by just throwing the ball to him in the middle for a alley-oop. So I guess there will be plays similar for Howard in Lakers to help them score. Besides, Lakers is not a outside scoring team, cutting the middle and fast breaks will fit Howard more.

That was also before AD came to the team as well.  Lebron and AD just need histle people around them, that is not D Howard's game anymore.  I'm not a fan of the lakers by any means but I would be hoping for a young athletic big that is looking for any minutes and would be a scrapper for the team....and dont block the middle of the key

Other people hit the point but these games of trying to say why it will or wont be a certain price years in the future (yes 2022 is still yearS), can be argued for or against.  Worldwide political positions will have a big play on how crypto in general will do by 2022.  But if I had to guess I'd say 30-50k  Grin

6264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 19, 2019, 09:43:57 PM
This answers all your question about odds and hack on the system to win in lottery or gambling.

A man names Stefan Mandel, a mathematical genius cracked the code to win tho lottery. He computed all possible equations and finaly got some algorithms that made him won not just twice but 12 times.

Since the government becomes aware of his motives although it is legal in nature, they change the lottery rules and law for Mandel prevent winning. They even ban computer printing tickets for him to have hindrance. He even go to other countries to test his equations and even got some investors to buy tickets for him to succeed on his winning combination. Unluckily, he got prisoned on the last country and never did the act again.

If you wanted to crack the code like him, you shoud:
1. Be a mathematical genius
2. Crack the new algorithms for the new system of lottery since its computerized now

I guess being lucky comes to his genius mind in the first place.

That's a good story but I dont think your 2 points will help anyone.  You cant just become a mathematical genius lol.  And #2, well that's just obvious.  Still think lottery is pure luck unless you have an insider that is cheating..

That has got to be the worst of most of the stories I've heard of.  So gravitate just slapped a sticker on the coin and sold it loaded.   Angry

Why even post that with no reasons why.  And I dont know about 50x for grin with that emission, I dont even think 50x is what they are shooting for.  If I had to throw it out there, I would say viacoin would be a good candidate for 50x.  Consistent work being done by a stable group of developers.
6268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: See how Poker Champ Dennis Blieden lost $9M+ in stolen funds to Nitrogen Sports on: August 18, 2019, 06:59:21 PM
The sad part is dude literally gambled away the money he didn't have, it wasn't his money to gamble but he did it anyway, so this was absolutely zero risk for him, he could have given that money away to charity and still wouldn't be down one cent because none of it was his but at the same time if you are risking illegal crimes by stealing from a company than you might as well do something smart, gambling it away sounds such a waste since it would not make any sense to actually commit a crime like stealing but than giving that money away to gambling, I would at least get some houses or use it to run away to another country to not get caught or something, without that it makes no sense to steal because you will end up in jail and have nothing to show for it neither.

That's the thing, you cant really just all of the sudden buy a bunch of houses.  Seems to me he was washing the money through gambling.  If he "wins" a million then you can go out and buy houses.....
6269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: See how Poker Champ Dennis Blieden lost $9M+ in stolen funds to Nitrogen Sports on: August 18, 2019, 04:41:15 PM
If it was all stolen funds used as alleged it's real easy to lose that money, there is no personal tie to that money.  It wasnt his to begin with.
He was just too unlucky to use those stolen funds, i think he was too careless since it wasn't him in the first place. I wonder if the FBI will do something about of the named site but they can't just ask for a refund about of that lost money.

Quote
"IF CONVICTED OF ALL CHARGES, BLIEDEN WOULD FACE A STATUTORY MAXIMUM SENTENCE OF MORE THAN 200 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON."
Upon reading the article it would probably be the end of his gambling career if he's proven guilty.

The end of his gambling career?  This would be the end of his life if he is proven guilty.  Gambling losses is the least of his worries and he knows this.
6270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 18, 2019, 04:12:30 PM
What has happened in USA basketball? Why does most of the players are withdrawing from playing for FIBA world cup? I think there is something that the public does not know why or is there any conflict between players and the management.
Most of the star players from the NBA that were withdrawing from Team USA were just focusing on the upcoming season, business decision as they say and there is nothing to do with conflict between them and the coaching staff. I think their move would benefit the young and upcoming superstars in the NBA as they can now showcase their talent overseas and will boast their market value.

"Business decision" is the best way to put it.  Most of these players are internationally known already and dont have to build their international brand.  If they get hurt in these international games it can have huge financial implications as well.

Rare are players like Dirk Nowitzki who regularly played for Germany even though he was a star in NBA and great player. European players in general tend to care a lot about national team in every sport.

Best example of that is Nikos Galis, scoring machine and best Greek basketball player of all time and one of the greatest European players of all time. He refused to come back to NBA and play for then best team, Boston Celtics, and play with Bird, Parish, McHale, Walton etc and win few NBA titles just because that would mean he wouldn't be able to play for Greek national team, due stupid Fiba rules. And that meant so much to him.
Something like this is unimaginable nowadays,i hope Giannis will follow his steps.

Looking forward to Serbia vs Greece match tonight. Cold mastixa is ready, just need some gyros Smiley

I think for some international players they feel it is their duty, with the US players like harden, the brow, lebron, they can decline to focus on their own personal goals and know the US will still put a good enough team out there to win.

So, everyone seems to be hating on Todd Gurley on the various fantasy boards...what's everyone's thoughts on Antonio Brown's frost bitten feet??

Definately not optimal but it will heal and antonio brown is still one of the best recievers out there.  Some drafts I see him go high some really low, he is definately a wildcard this year.

6275  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will BAKKT affect future of bitcoin? on: August 17, 2019, 08:00:52 PM
As far as those 3 concerns, regulations are coming hard and fast.  Baker will not really change any of that.  And third parties while not optimal for crypto is inevitable, non hard core crypto "people" would rather not deal p2p and trust an institution, at least for now until it becomes more comfortable for the masses.

A @ 0.1 kilt time yeah?

Technically it was over 0.1 btc. So 1 satoshi short.

I'd say 0.1 BTC warrants at least 1 day of kilt, though.

There will be no kilt wearing! Well not soon anyways..... Possibly at coinfest

I'll chuck in .001btc if it is an aldi's kilt

All kidding aside.  Awesome auction.  I wanted one of these, I wish they werent so dam good so they would have went for a little cheaper.  Nice grab to all the winners
