6261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2p is the original Satoshi strategy for Bitcoin exchange on: July 21, 2022, 06:08:03 PM
P2p is based on trust and one can not be secured in carrying out a p2p transaction with a newbie who has not hard adequate knowledge so to avoid that risk exchanges are there to serve as a connecting link in form of escrow and a monitor between two traders. With your stand on the p2p, it will be limited to a small community of Bitcoin users leaving in the same environment but that will hamper the scalability of Bitcoin. So exchanges are needed and they're the gateway to cryptocurrency trading.
6262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LG to make a TV that can trade and issue NFTs on: July 21, 2022, 04:41:31 PM
Move this thread to the alternative cryptocurrency board, as this board is solely dedicated to Bitcoin discussion. Back to the topic of discussion, the era of smart tv has given room to a lot of development, and is quite exciting to know that LG is taking a lead in this direction, cryptocurrency is becoming a mainstream business and NFT development has encouraged a lot of content inclusion in digital currency so it will be more exciting if LG will start accepting cryptocracy as payment for the purchase of the devices soon.
6263  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: July 21, 2022, 03:03:46 PM
If you want to find out easily, try to check the feedback or reviews of players who have played there. We can see that in this forum thread or on sites that provide gambling site recommendation services. Also, feedback from outside the forum like google and their social media.
Players' feedback is the best mechanism to use to discover the best sportsbooks, most especially the reviews from the members of this forum since the chances of manipulation do not exist. But if you rely on the reviews from reviewing sites one can easily get misled by their corrupt review score as many of them engaged in fake review scores because they're being bribed.
6264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I doing the right thing on: July 20, 2022, 09:57:05 PM
How can a newbie invest in good altcoins? I know about BTC and ETH but I think I can make more money from altcoins instead of BTC and ETH, I did my research and I have a few projects in mind but I don't know if they are worthy..

Avalanche, Mina protocol, Phala network and Aleph Zero to name a few
Reason why most of you guys think this way is because you guys believe that Bitcoin is already too expensive a d can't give you the desired profits, but you failed to understand the fact that altcoin can go whatever ways so even if you have a pre conception of making xx profits with altcoin, also have it at the back of your mind that all your investment can still go down to zero with altcoin.
6265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 20, 2022, 09:40:46 PM
The fact that the global financial traditional system is full with many forms of infringement on the right of the citizen's, if not how can banks swap citizen's savings into an investment without they consent. This situations point to one fact that the government is in support of this infringement on citizen's rights.
6266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You have not lost a dime if your Bitcoin is in your wallet on: July 20, 2022, 05:16:59 PM
Despite the fact we still need to make the right calculation to conclude such as this, one of those calculations should be in the entry price of Bitcoin. Let's say you buy Bitcoin when the price was at 65k and now the price has dropped to 20k+ so if you buy Bitcoin now with the same amount you first bought you will get almost triple the amount you got at first purchase, so Bitcoin intrinsic value makes it volatility more difficult to understand and control to avoid loses.
6267  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alternatives to 1xbit on: July 20, 2022, 04:58:34 PM
It is not bad hence it is good that you try to use new casinos. It is good because if we no one use a casinos or any gambling site then how that site will become reputed and how the site will be old site. But I think no one should gamble too much and should not deposit too much on a new casino(gambling site).
That is the truth, a new site needs players that will try the site out and help them to develop and improve along the way. New casinos may offer excellent service with loads of new games that may excide players, no doubt fact that a new casino may easily become a scam since there has no reputation to protect but any new casino that is serious to build a good reputation will endure the test of time to prove their readiness to stay in the market.
6268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: July 20, 2022, 06:34:05 AM

I mean a regular gamble must use Lightning network if Lightning network is available on the site Which site they use regularly for gamble. I am also like Lightning network for deposit and withdrawal my assets for gambling site. Lightning network complete soo fast transcation And here the transaction fee is very low compared to the normal network.
But if I recall not at all are that techie enough on the in/out of how to use the LN, that's sometimes the hindrance to use these kind of technology especially those that are new to this. Good for you mate, it's too convenient and cheap, hoping we don't use off chain in the future and it will be on chain.
Not only that alone is the major setback on lighting network adoption, but the fact that LN is still I new technology and a layer 2 in the Bitcoin network development, not all casinos and exchanges trust lighting network because of the single fact that lightning network is still on a testing mode and have not been approved for use by the wider Bitcoin community.
6269  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kings Club Poker, semi-private games, mainly for serious poker players on: July 20, 2022, 06:19:43 AM
first you created a thread that only spread some link but never care to return clarifying what is inside that youtube video.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406633.msg60583467#msg60583467

now again sending links that is suspicious in which deleted , and now you wanted people to send you a PM instead .

__________________________________________________________

But regarding to the poker variation ? I am not familiar at all about those lol.

You are wrong about the other topic, I came back to return with a clarifying post there. Please see post #12 in that thread.

The PM would be necessary to give the login info for the site, since it is semi-private there is no public link to create an account.
I have come across similar poker tournaments on this forum and only dedicated to forum members, the last one I saw was the betnomi poker series hosted by yahoo some couple of months back. What can't remember is if the registration was done privately but since betnomi is a popular casino and have an established site I can't remember if the registration was done privately.
6270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: July 19, 2022, 08:35:51 PM

Putting all your money in Bitcoin is saying Bitcoin is now your legal tender. Meaning you only transact Bitcoin no more fiat, Bitcoin is better as a store of value due to volatility but when comparing it to stable coins and some altcoins it remains a better option. But to So as not to risk more than you can afford spreading your portfolio is better even though the percentage might not look even but it will save some heartbreaking moment
Well the trust in Bitcoin as an alternative currency and Bitcoin as a store of value, is why some Bitcoin enthusiasms make Bitcoin their sole currency and never look at the other coins in the market. But then one needs to make adequate provision against a rainy day by diversifying the portfolio and investing in some stablecoins that have the possibility of making good profits in the future.

6272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's faceless identity is the greatest Bitcoin success strategy on: July 18, 2022, 03:41:54 PM
Bitcoin's decentralized nature has made it possible for Bitcoin users to maintain high privacy, but even at that there have been a lot of speculations around Satoshi's identity but again none of his social media or other communication channels have been active since his exit from the science some years ago.
6273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese digital economy to integrate Crypto and NFTs on: July 16, 2022, 11:48:09 PM
The question we should ask is, what have happened to Chinese government to have want to integrate NFT into their economies since Chinese have a long record of anti Bitcoin laws that have lead to so many harsh directives that have hampered the growth of cryptocurrency market in that region. But since NFT is a highly centralized crypto networks with lots of individuals developing and controlling various NFT projects, which have led to so many security challenges in recent times, with the Kate's being an exchange hack. This has given the young development such as NFT to witness some big set back.
6274  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: July 16, 2022, 11:40:44 PM
The discussion here is certainly controversial. because Indeed Most casinos did not require KYC but offered bonuses anyway.I will gamble where there is no KYC because I don't come to play in this casino for offers or bonuses.Although now many gambling casinos without KYC have a large number of players joining the casino they don't care about any bonuses.
Many gamblers are not participating on any bonuses, they really focus on the games and the security of the site. I will also choose the same way but I’m ok with KYC now. I’ve been giving out my personal details and so far I’m safe from any hard simply because I have no money at all online and I do have my secured wallet where I use under a different platform. Well, with gambling its better to have fun privately and maybe this is why KYC is still an issue here.
^ Sometimes I am thinking like this, I am trying not to be afraid of KYC, sometimes I accept a gambling casino that only requires a phone number and email address but if more than that requiring a valid ID or making a video with your ID and the company name which is I am trying to avoid.
It is no fun at all if we have been exposed over the internet so privacy should remain private.
However, each of us has a different approach to KYC, so we respect each other decision of what they like.

because if you are a high roller, more then likely you will be subjected to kyc especially if the casino has gambling license. i believe, most high rollers should expect to undergo the kyc requirements. but for most small rollers, a lot of reputable and with gaming license casinos are offering services without the need to submit your kyc details. check their limits when it comes to submission of kyc, some casinos will only require kyc once your total deposits/withdrawals is $2k or €2k.
Lately, it has become a difficult task to find a kyc-free casino, this is because most casinos' license requires that the casino demand KYC verification from players at some point, and this is why some casinos request KYC when a player wants to withdraw a large amount. But there are still some decentralized casinos that do not require KYC no matter the amount of winning.
6275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet demand increases in 2022 bear market as exchange scramble on: July 16, 2022, 11:18:29 PM
I guess most long-term Bitcoin holders will prefer to hold their Bitcoin in a cold wallet because a hardware wallet remains the most secured wallet to store Bitcoin for long periods. Exchanges are used for buying and selling Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but are risky to be used as a personal wallet since exchanges don't give users private keys to the wallet.
6276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIB, DOGE and BabyDoge: How Do Community Favorites Perform? on: July 16, 2022, 10:35:22 PM

What I do know about these mentioned meme coins is that they will rise with bitcoin and altcoins. Yes, they have a huge community and that is a big positive factor. The community buys it because they pump spontaneously for profit in a short time. It is either to take the risk of buying now or let the chance go.
Shiba inu and dogecoin are in the same category of altcoins that have dominated the altcoin market, and comparing both coins may be a difficult task, but I still believe dogecoin has a larger community of supporters than Shiba in this case.
Must altcoins are dependent on Bitcoin for their market movement but again some altcoins do more rapid growth than others and dogecoin is in that category.
6277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many people become binance futures full time traders as job on: July 16, 2022, 10:02:38 PM
Trading is risky but then some people have built great trading skills over time and binance is one of the world's biggest cryptocurrency trading exchange, the volatility Nature of the cryptocurrency market make it more appealing to contemporary traders who have chosen trading as a means to earn and are now involved in cryptocurrency trading on a passive level.
6278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON 2023 qualifiers. on: July 16, 2022, 09:41:35 PM
The supper falcons have been consistently winning matches, with the last match ending with a goal advantage against their opponent, a goal many football analysts sees to be a narrow winning for the falconets of Nigeria. I believe the team will top their various leagues in this season.
6279  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alternatives to 1xbit on: July 15, 2022, 11:02:28 PM
I haven't used 1xbit before but I also haven't heard that many good things about them... I think you should just stick to the books everyone uses and talk about here. I've been using Heritage Sports and it has been great so far. I also recommend everyone to look for reviews made by professional bettors. Bookmaker's Review has a rating guide just for BTC sportsbooks and betting sites and it's a legit site so, check it out https://www.bookmakersreview.com/best-sportsbooks/bitcoin/ hope this works!
When it comes to choosing a casino or searching for information about the credibility of a gambling platform I always rely on the reviews from members of the forum and since bitcoin talk is full of so many casinos one can easily detect reputable casinos, just by reading through the variant threads and seeing the casino response to users problems and feedbacks
6280  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: duelbits.com scam me 16K USD with big proof on: July 15, 2022, 10:03:53 PM
As far as I known, correct me of I am wrong. Duelbits it's run for a year not just only casino but a high trusted casino which a player or a gambler have a assurance that he/she can withdraw his or her earnings. But now there's a compliment, in my opinion there are many reason why duelbits do that. Maybe the OP break their TOs or maybe the duelbits team or admins have a suspicious of his account.
Duelbits is a great site for years now, and this case is already under investigation. This may take longer since Duelbits will look for their best reason to hold this account, and if they are wrong hopefully they can give something in return to OP for experiencing this unfortunate problem. If OP violates the TOS of Duelbits, its better for two parties to talk privately, but I think OP has a legit claims here, let’s just see and wait for the next announcement of Duelbits regarding this case.
I was surprised to see this accusation against duelbits a well-established casino, and that make me want to make some further investigation on duelbit only to find out that this user already made a thread on scam against another casino which makes it hard to understand unless this user post more convincing evidence against both sites to attract the right judgement.
