6262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese Poker, Classic and Open Face Thread on: March 15, 2019, 05:13:41 PM
Lol, that Chinese Poker is what we call "Pusoy" here in the Philippines. I learn that game like 30++ years ago, hahahaha, maybe mid 80's. And it was still as famous as today in the country as far as I know.

People here play that game either as past time or with big money involved, I'm glad that you enjoy and wanted to learn that game, but I guess for Filipino gamblers they are really very familiar with this game.  Grin. Most experts can really arrange which way (and as strong) as they wanted it to be, even by just looking at the cards at the beginning  Grin
6263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: March 15, 2019, 11:29:25 AM
Of course most of us chose playing with crypto because we wanted to be anonymous and we don't want to go the hassle of submitting our personal information. But the problem with some crypto related casino is that they are somewhat 'enforcing' KYC specially if you're going to withdraw a big amount.

Which for me defeats the purpose on why we are in crypto related casino in the first place, decentralized, (psuedo) anonymous. If that is the case then we might as well play in fiat-based, because it seems that there are no difference after all.

6265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you have a prediction? on: March 07, 2019, 07:16:22 PM
Next 2-3 years will be critical not just for bitcoin but for the whole crypto sphere.

I predicted that we will see another country fully adopted and legalize crypto like Japan did. Next 2-3 years specially after bitcoin block halving, we will see the price goes as high as $30k, beating the previous all-time-high.
6266  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market looks boring 2019 on: March 07, 2019, 06:21:08 AM
The market this 2019 is not boring compared to last year but rather the market this year will be full of excitement and surprises. The market is looking healthier and stable.

We really need to be optimistic this year. So I wouldn't say that it's boring, maybe there are people who doesn't want to see the market condition, but we can't do anything.

Actually what we can do is continue to buy at this point, or perhaps practice our trading skill so that when the market recovers again, we have a lot of coins in our wallet and definitely we make a lot of returns in the future.
6267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Protect yourself from Excitement and keep your Winnings Safe on: March 06, 2019, 05:01:29 PM
I had similar Mantra's as well. I guess if you really experienced a big lost in your gambling habits, I guess this kind of self call will be effective. I lost heavy before and I kept thinking what if I just exited and went home or quit with my money then I would be very very happy the next day.

And now seeing all that big money gone just like that, makes me think that's why I learn to have self control and quit before I experienced that painful and disappointment and regrets again.
6268  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scam site - do not use! on: March 06, 2019, 04:38:54 PM
Your post is appreciated. You won't know, it might save some newbies in the coming days.
I wonder if there are still newbies in crypto fall for this website since most of them don't know how to research things until the damage is done.

I'm sure there are a lot of newbies who still fall for this trap simply because they don't do any research whatsoever and that's why this kind of scam sites are not dying but instead growing because they know they can still pull this old trick.

And for those newbies out there, there's no such thing as bitcoin generator or free bitcoins out there. Everyone here work their ass-off just to earn few satoshis.
6269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: #Deletecoinbase - Agree or Disagree? on: March 06, 2019, 04:28:29 PM
What do you expect? Our data is not safe with them as they admitted that their previous tracker providers have sold customers data without their authorization. How the hell did they allow that to happen?

And now acquiring Neutrino, another company with a shady past of selling information as well, so they make things worst then. So who will trust Coinbase? So it's up to us, whether to still used them and hope that your data will be not leaked someday.
This is bad news. However, I don't think deleting Coinbase is the right move here especially when many investors have left the cryptocurrency market already due to the 2017 crash and the prolonged bear market.

Coinbase needs to reevaluate their procedures and people need to be more careful while using these centralized exchanges.

Of course they can re-evaluate their process but the thing is that the damage has been done. And we all know the crypto traders is hard to please, one mistakes you make against them will etch in memory and it's possible that they will left Coinbase and look for other alternatives.

Perhaps I was one lucky person because I chooses not to open an account with them. Otherwise I will be mad as hell if I found my personal data being sold out.
6270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 06, 2019, 03:42:37 PM
Not a hater but they do make their chances getting slimmer ~snip~

According to basketball-reference playoff probability charts Lakers now have  0.1% chance of making the playoffs. They should totally forget about it and focus on something else like losing games on purpose as they are not that far away from 7-8th worst team records. As yall know draft odds are significantly adjusted this year, which mean they can get a higher draft pick. Who knows maybe it helps them land AD.

Ok, so statistics wise they won't make it and Lebron's record is broken. I'm sure that after this one, there will be a lot of pointing fingers. I have seen Youtube videos claiming it's Lebron's fault and then Magic Johnson because he is not talking to the players and then the coach. Lol.

So let's see how it goes for them next year, I'm sure there will be a lot of chances in the roster and maybe we can see a new coach.  Grin
6271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hodler, you motherfucker. on: March 05, 2019, 06:30:58 AM
Actually I like hodlers. Because of them bitcoin has a huge possibility to rise. They buy only once, they don't sell. So bitcoin has a global bullish trend.

I guess there are lots of casual investors that do that thing. One, as casual traders its hard to buy 1 BTC immediately, two, if this is your strategy then there are some serious flaws on it.

It's better to buy in dips and also you don't have to buy 1 full bitcoin. You can slowly accumulate it by buying when there is a dramatic fall until such time you can have that 1 bitcoin you have dreamed off.
6272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to rise above the price of $ 4000?? on: March 05, 2019, 06:17:56 AM
I see something heavy and maybe difficult, when the price of bitcoin will touch $ 4000, then drop dramatically down. In your opinion, what is happening with the current condition of bitcoin. Is it because of the market that hasn't really recovered? or is there bad news?
Well, we can see that bitcoin is struggling between the range of $3800 - $4000 for the past two weeks and might still last longer for another two weeks before we begin to see another bull run in price that could get the price of bitcoin to $5000, don't be worry there is no bad news causing this, it's just the market preparing itself for a bull run.

You can confirm what I am saying by checking the market cap of the crypto market and see how money is being pumped daily into the market.

This could just be a temporary fall that would have happened now and trading at 3750$ . Though their is no need to panic as such because this things keep on happening and we might see that in coming time itself it would again rise and reach 5k as well. So be calm and hold on.

Again, we are still in the bear market, speculators will do everything to short and make money including bitcoin. So don't be surprised by this marginal fall from time to time.

Also you have to look at the trading volumes as well, its seems that after a good pump, the volumes started to slow down as well. Typical of a wait and see attitude of most crypto investors now. Not willing to risk and will just ride along with the price goes up again and then sell to take profits.
6273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: March 05, 2019, 06:04:24 AM
To be fair with Mayweather, I don't think he is into performance-enhancing drugs. He has no confirmed record of such accusation. ~snip~
There is a procedure to determine if he is using but I think it's not necessary.
Mayweather is winning games not because he is knocking his opponent but because he is scoring and running in the entire game, that's his technique
and he is fast and quick, hard to beat and I guess only Manny has the capability to do it and I believe in the 2nd match we can possibly see that.

In my opinion, he hasn't used any PED's though, you have seen that his body is just average and not that bulky. Funny thing is that last night I just watch their first match and indeed Manny can hit Mayweather even though Floyd has a good defense.

That's why I really wanted to see the rematch and see if Manny can touch Mayweather again because it seems that Manny has regained his second wind even at age 40.

Lol. Floyd's technique is so effective that he's now being accused of using peds. If you watch basically all his fights, the is a superior technical fighter. He uses his wits more than his opponents and has a very efficient, technical style that will bore you. Not very fun to watch for a regular boxing fan but you have to appreciate the efficiency. I don't the result would be any different if in case this fight pushes through.

It's not an accusations, if you have read the topic a few post above, people are "speculating" as to what his reasons for avoiding a second fight with Manny Pacquaio if the money in the table is going to be big.

The results could be the same, but if you like to see Manny Pacquiao in action again, specially if he has few fights left in his tank, then definitely win or lose against Floyd, will be a good fight for him.
6274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I interviewed with Bitmain in Rockdale TX back in November. Ranting on: March 05, 2019, 05:48:25 AM
and i really don't believe the capability of Bitcoin Cash 'til now. unlike eth, they have strong developmental team but BCH, i wonder where they will go a year from now?

It'll still be chugging.

It has Bitcoin in the name and enough money and infrastructure behind it. Traders don't care about a coin's use, development or fundamentals. It's on all the exchanges and has big volume. Ergo it stays.

And even if majority of us have been calling that bch should end up in oblivion, there are lot of gullible newbies still investing because its supposed to be the real "bitcoin", (until BSV comes and mess up the minds of newbie traders!). Grin

Bitmain most probably never thought that this might happen in the future, so they made a lot of empty promises and they were also looking for cheap electricity to make even more profits.  Roll Eyes

If that is their mindset then they not businessman, not looking in the future and competitions around. They are just self-centered, just looking for profits but doesn't understand how the market works and how a change can affect them negatively.
6275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep the BitCoins Safe? on: March 05, 2019, 05:26:18 AM
You can keep your bitcoin asset is safe by always use best and potential exchange for holding your bitcoin asset, never save your bitcoin on new exchange market because is risk some time your fund is lost without any reason.

There's no such thing as safe exchange, no matter how trusted or legit they are. Remember, not your keys, not your coins. If you're a trader, don't leave loads of fund in your exchange, withdraw them somewhere safe like a hardware wallet or wallet that you have total control.

@Siren - thanks for that info, I'm not aware of Infinitus wallet, I'll probably check them out.
6276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 04, 2019, 05:27:35 PM
Championship is definitely important but also it brings out the question why does a GOAT caliber player doesn't have other good players with him ? I mean lets look at Karl Malone and john Stockton, they were definitely great but if they are in GOAT discussions I am sorry but they were two great players who couldn't pull it off, so I doubt they are at that level, MJ probably only had Scottie we can count on and maaaybe Rodman but that is a bit tough.

You could also add Charles Barkley or Patrick Ewing in that discussions. Jordan denied the 2 a ring because they're unfortunate to have Jordan as contemporaries.

If you are great anyway than players should want to play with you to begin with, players should want to come to your team, look at warriors, how did they got Durant? Because they were already great and Durant wanted a ring with them, why didn't T-Mac and Yao get another superstar ? Because, even with another superstar they possibly could lose. Why did Bosh-Wade-Lebron deal happened? Because they believed they could get couple titles together.

They can be defined as super-teams. Previous era's, you only need one great player and then lots of supporting cast to help. But now, 2 or 3 great players need to join to order to bring championships.
6277  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: March 04, 2019, 05:10:10 PM
A lot of bad news happened to the bitcoin and I think almost of that hapoened in the year 2018 which cause for the market to dump. Because media and social media is really influences and once they relase article or any news about crypto they affected the value because people can panic. But better for us to not listening of them if they said negative sides about bitcoin or altcoins just ignore them and continue what we do so we can convince people and encourage them to invest to crypto.
The media had been the major culprit who awash the populace with bad news about cryptos which culminated to the market dumping 2018, the negative news had really hit hard and influenced a lot of investors who are willing to invest last year, I just hope the same scenario will not repeat again this year as our expectations in cryptos is rife and I had made up my mind not listen to any main stream news regarding to cryptos.

I couldn't care less. I know I shouldn't trust those mainstream media out there populating the minds of supposedly investors.

However, I see them as part of this grand scheme to make bitcoin really be adopted or crypto for that matter. At least with every news coming around, people are going to curious and it's possible that they will invest on it because of the media attention crypto sphere is getting in the last 3 years.

6279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 04, 2019, 03:59:48 PM
Pau Gasol finally joined the Milwaukee Bucks team.
He is a good player but I think he is a little bit old and I don't know if he will be able to help the team, especially in the playoff series which is kind of tiring.

What do you think guys? Is this signing going to empower the Bucks squad?

It's not how gasul play the game anymore. What the bucks needs is the leadership during crucial games especially in the playoffs where in composure is needed. Gasul can calm down the players when they became stiff in their plays and that's what veteran players can do in crucial games.

Right, maybe we really taken that Gasol can't really perform high level basketball. But I'm sure being a veteran in the game already, he can be the catalyst for this young Bucks if the playoffs.

I'm sure he can still contribute not scoring wise though, maybe just a simple pick and roll or some play inside so that the floor can be open and space so that they will have another options of scoring.
6280  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will the Bear Market End? on: March 04, 2019, 03:46:51 PM
Hard to predict as the market really fluctuates and very volatile and it's a total different atmosphere compare to 2017.

Right now if you look at the price, they're all down again, with no apparent reason whatsoever. In terms of price though, perhaps if we can get to above $6k, or at least x2 the last bottom, then we can say that the bear market has finally ended.
