I think it's misleading to claim that Google achieved quantum supremacy as IBM is also doing some quantum computers experiment of their own.
As far as bitcoin goes, it even they achieved to crack AES-256 bit encryption, I'm sure there will be a consensus to go to the next cryptographic hash function to protect bitcoin.

So I heard there's a possibility for a rematch. Pretty sure it would be boring again. Floyd will do the same, run and gun, nothing else. I'm more interested if Pacquiao will face a different one rather than watching a boring rematch. We won't expect Floyd to go all out, of course, that's Floyd, it's about money and clean record even with worse feedback because of his fighting style. Nothing new.
But we love to see a rematch that's all. Even if Pacquaio losses and not the favorite at least there's no more 'what if' situation and debates all over the boxing community. I think the ball in on Floyd's camp, Pacquaio still proves himself by winning against a young and game Keith Thurman. I'm sure Pacquaio will continue to fight, even Bernard Hopkins said that Pacquiao can break his record and says that Pacquiao can even fight well into his 50's, if he wanted to.

This really happens to my friend in a horse racing, he is making a good run of winning he was in a winner take all bet and he needs to only win one, before he buys a ticket a winner take all-ticket, he has doubt on his bet on the 7th race because he is not the main favorite, he opted for the favorite of race 7
He wins bet on all the 6 races and he just needs one win and he is confident that the horse who he picks for a replacement on the horse he first bet to win the race, in the end, he loses the big jackpot in the 7th race because the horse that comes out the winner happens to be the horse he replaced with the favorite, he loses $3000 jackpot because of that.
He had a hard time moving on with that experience.
I understand his frustration, I have been in similar situations many times before, I got all six race perfect however, I didn't put enough bet on my last race, I could have chosen the favorite, the second favorite and the third. But I don't have enough money that time to make at least three or four horse bet on the last bet so that I can be at least on the safe side 4/12 on the last race, good probably of me winning. Unfortunately, the favorite didn't win the last race and so I should have won, in the end it all regrets and hard to get over with it.

Really if there is anyway to erase scammers off crypto space it would have been better, 2019 would have bring better results for altcoins if not for scam projects everywhere scamming new investors, now scammers are scaring off new crypto investors wannabe since there is no trust or whatsoever and investors don't want to lose money either, whatever the next altcoin results is going to be will not be huge as many expected due to investors not trusting new altcoins anymore, no wonder why binance launchpads are selling out in seconds.
If there people who are not so dumb and really fall for this scammers trap, then I don't think we will have scammers around the crypto space. The problem is that there are so many beginners in the crypto verse that scammers can easily get to them and became their victim. If crypto space is just like how binance managed IEO project in return for their own reputation altcoins will be skyrocketing right now because much more money will flow in, exchanges like binance is giving out trust investment that i really hope the entire altcoin space can do the same but its a shame scammers are robbing off the trust
Binance is one example of the leadership that we need today. They have set the bar so high right now specially with their IEO launchpad.

I was surprised when there was a gamble like this, How can cock fight be made online gambling? I think the developers are smart and creative people, and in my opinion it is very unlikely if there is a BTC payment, because there are rarely interested in gambling like that, including me.
For every fight happened or tournament, there should be someone to operate the site. Like he/she will be the decider who will be the winner Meron (Left side), Wala(Right side). Most of the fights are LIVE STREAM. They will air every fight in particular tournament and they have rules about technical problems will be encounter during fight. The only thing I concerned here is the fee, the site owner getting fee by percentage for every bet you made. So win or lose, the owner takes percentage of the winnings? House edge? Philippines is one of the most crypto friendly countries around the Southeast Asia, I'm sure that it's just a matter of time when operators of this so called "Sabong" would venture and accept BTC as payment scheme.

I hear a lot of discussion around BTC halving that is expected in May 2020. Many people are confident that this event will trigger the next bull run.
What is the logic behind this?
Because we can't deny that the market works in cycle, bears and bulls, bubbles and burst. I think not only in crypto market, but it is also relevant in other markets as well. Although there is one parameter as well, supply and demand that we really need to look at. But halving is essentially the catalyst to start a new cycle and ended up in a burst similar to what we have seen in 2017. Just a question on how long are we going to get into a new all-time-high. Prior halvings (2012) took us 500 days to get to a new all time high, while the second halving (2016) takes around 1000 days to get to $20k. @Qcrypto - prior halvings posted a huge increased if I'm not mistaken. First halving, lowest price is $2 -> $200'ish Second halving, lowest price is $600'ish to almost $20k. And third halving, recorded lowest price is $3200 last year December 2018, new all-time-high

This is gonna be a great match, Porter fan here because I love underdog and I like to have Spence his first loss because this is so favorite to win in this fight. I just like to try my luck betting on the dog as the return is bigger, in boxing nowadays upsets happen, yes, if Porter will win, this could be an upset because Porter is undervalued in this fight. According to - https://www.boxingscene.com/spence-porter-fox-countdown-show-drew-604000-viewers--142428Most odds-makers have installed the unbeaten Spence as at least a 9-1 favorite over Porter. Great odds for the underdog. 9-1 is very huge it's a shut off for porter and tho think Porter is a former champion I don't think the gap is not that wide, Spence uses his jab and reaches effectively the proof is on his last fight against Garcia, but Porter can slug it out, we have a good and should close fight here not this kind where Porter is a big underdog. [ .. snip .. ] Whoever wins this match will face Manny Pacquiao and this could be the biggest test on Manny Pacquiao's campaign, both fighters are on their prime, they are not coming up from a long lay off, like what happens to Thurman whose performance suffers from a long lay off. But I agree that it's a big injustice for Porter to have an underdog tag, this guy is no patsy, he can fight and it's hard to dominate him with his style. Exactly, the Danny Garcia fight already proved that. I think he was also the underdog at that time and was below the judges scorecard in the early rounds. But he adapt and listen to his dad and change his style in the mid rounds and rough Garcia. Although he was hit in return, but there are a lot of close rounds and usually judges gives it to the aggressor that's why he was able to squeeze a close decision and win the belt. So I'm seeing another performance by Porter similar to Garcia's fight, make his opponent uncomfortable and close the gap.

The market is growing, so it's always changing. IEO was born to improve security and security for customers and it is considered an upgrade of the ICO. Also because part of the ICO has so many frauds without strict laws that make many people scam so they choose IEO to ensure their own rights.
I think the right term is evolving. So we went from ICO -> IEO in what about a year? That's very quick in my opinion. But what do you expect when ICO has been exploited by many projects? Those involved in crypto will have to think of something a new business model, that's why IEO was born. And now ICO are burned, and IEO are very successful, at least 90% if I'm not mistaken really rakes a lot of money because of the trading platforms and it's reputation.

Oh well, they can have all the regulations in place, but it's going to be difficult to stop crypto in it's track. I would admit that it is being taken advantage of criminals around the world, but on the other side, crypto is like a saviour for countries like Venezuela, Argentina and Zimbabwe who's into financial turmoil.
So there's a lot of cons, but there's also some positive things that crypto can bring to a country or to majority of crypto enthusiast.

Incredible, having the altcoins season at this point in time is a welcome development because it has been over due. Seeing the altcoins doing well make my self good as making profits from altcoins to Bitcoin is an interesting one, this make me remember what happened some few years back. Although we may see a good bull run after the Bitcoin halve next year and it will be a better time again with the altcoins.
Hopefully altcoin will be able to benefit from the next bitcoin halving or repeat history atleast, i am one of many who invested a lot in altcoins because i belief i will make good profit rather than investing in bitcoin even when i had the chance, 2020 is the year i am longing for since 2018 after bears take over the market Can altcoin investors still wait eight more months and wait for the bitcoin halvening? That's almost two years of bearish altcoin market. For majority that is too long and could have been thinking of shifting to bitcoin or have move already. I'm sorry I don't see any bullishness along the lines, it just had a bounce from a correction we have seen. It went as low as ~$9800 and then quickly recovery above $10k already. Let's see on the 26th though, if bakkt could bring the price to the next level.

I will suggest beginners try in binance.
1. Binance is a big exchange. 2. They have a lot of coins to trade. 3. New people don't have to do KYC if they don't want. 4. People can cover their trading fee with BNB coin and don't have to use bitcoin as the fee.
It is up to you on what exchange you want to use but remember that you don't need to use big money if you don't know or you are still learning on trading because that will not help you to make a profit unless you have a luck in trading.
Funny thing is, when I started to trade, Binance is not yet there, so I began with journey on some shitty exchanges such as Yobit. And I think people around the time (2016-2017) doesn't have a choice but to start and learn from shitty exchanges in the past. And I think it really did good for me, learn from those worst exchange and then gradually move when I gain and learn a lot. So it's a positive thing, in my opinion. But right now, its the other way around, newbies can go to Binance and other reputable exchanges of today. What a total contrast.

That's one key strength of Porter, and I'm sure that it will be his game plan from the time the bell rings. Spence will used his jab, Porter trying to negate it by coming inside and slugging it out and try to test Spence ability. So it's really going to be close as well, 9-1 is disrespectful to say the least because Porter is also a world champion.

Is this the WSJ interview? Yeah, read what Durant says, was just surprise that he blurted and said things like he didn't feel that GSW accepted him as one of them. And yes, this is a direct hit to GSW players and management, he won MVP's and rings with them, what's wrong with Durant? Curry respondent though, but he is not biting on the issue and that's cool of him not to response negatively and let the issue die naturally.

Good for you, just keep holding till ETH 2.0 next year or better yet wait for the eventual bull run and see the price reaches another all time high.
It's just a question on when that's going to happen, almost all altcoins are being paired with BTC, so most likely when BTC had it's bull run, it could have a domino effect on the altcoin market. Just continue to accumulate ETH and you will be good in the future.

Actually I am looking at players which had been not signed up in NBA and are now playing in different leagues. Two of the know NBA players now are Jeremy Lin and Lance Stephenson. Others are Brandon Bass and Ty Lawson et al.
I guess they are really trying to pull more NBA players for tickets to sell and also if there is a pay per view. They are paid quite well and this guys needs a job that would pay for their necessities. Unlike the NBA you will just get 5 to 6 digits for being a bench player while in China there is a chance to be a star and be paid better in the long run.
Yeah, there's more money but there's less fame in overseas. Those players that were not recognized that much in NBA eventually plays in CBA. Like even Stephenson can fight toe to toe against Americans, he wanted to be a star I think. There was a game in which he scored 30+ points in an Asia tournament versus a team in my country Talk N' Text. And most of you maybe does not know Pierre Jackson. He is currently playing in CBA and his stats are decent. It's JUST 40 points per game only with 9.3 assists and 6 rbs per game. That's quite big even though he's pretty small for his size. You can't blame people that wanted to play in the other league. Some are just chasing money and wanted to be a star on their team. Unlike in NBA they are benched in which they can't showcase their true potential. Goodluck to them. Man, the Lakers did not extend Stephenson's contract and no team I guess had shown interest in him. I mean, maybe he will have a better contract in the CBA knowing that it is the second largest professional league next to NBA. It's obvious that Lakers is on a rebuilding last year was probably just an experiment and now we are going to see new sets of players and they don't see Stephenson a perfect fit to the franchise so that's understandable. So he move to CBA, good for him, the success rate of ex-NBA players moving to CBA is high so I'm expecting Lance to be a true superstar there, a stature he didn't got from NBA.

You can't do anything at this point. Just stay strong and hold on your coins otherwise you will just lose everything with your -99%.
Let this be a lesson though, you just join when the market is really at it's worst situation. Even if you shift to bitcoin, you are still -60% since the last all time high or if you got @$3k levels, you are in a positive but still way below bitcoin's all time high of almost $20k with the current price of ~$10k.

I wonder what will happen to bitcoin and the crypto market if there will be a financial crisis in the world (2008 style)
From one side people will probably look for 'safer' place to put their money in on the other side, many people see crypto and bitcoin as a risky investment
I would like to hear the community opinions about what might happen to our market in a time of world economic crisis
We have seen how bitcoin sort of becoming a saviour for countries like Venezuela, Argentina and Zimbabwe. A good read as to what happened in 2008 https://www.thebalance.com/2008-financial-crisis-3305679Obviously, it's going to be two fold, maybe we can see bitcoin dumping, as people are going to liquidate, because mostly in a financial crisis, there's a lot of irrational behaviours from average joe to huge investors. On the other hand, there could be individuals who can see crypto as a safe haven and willing to store their wealth, specially on bitcoin.
