6281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: February 19, 2019, 08:48:17 AM
Strange that I couldn't find a single piece of information on the website. I know it's probably not a big deal at all but I was really curious to see if this bank was serious about it. Who knows it starts a wave of SEA banks all offering it? Not that I'd ever buy from an ATM I would like very much to save the 10% fees and get it from a p2p trader, thank you;)

We don't know, but I do hope that it will start a wave all over the SEA banks starting to have their own crypto ATM's. I think it's a big deal because of the reputation of UnionBank itself, may not be the top bank in the Philippines because as far as I know, banking system are a stiff and cut-throat business there.

So this might likely be chance for UnionBank to capitalize the crypto craze in the country by offering ATM. So let us see if other SEA countries will follow as well.
6282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a future for BTC anymore? on: February 19, 2019, 08:19:16 AM
Just look at the current price, we did touch $4K on some exchanges, and even though that we are still a far cry from the last all-time-high, it looks like we're starting a bullish trend now so let's see how it goes.

I really don't understand why people are losing hope, the future looks bright. There's a lot of positive news in the coming months and years, so don't be disappointed and lose your faith in this market. Make the best out of every situation and I'm sure you're going to appreciate and not complain about it.
6283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 19, 2019, 08:08:17 AM
I told you guys Ngannou was the easy money, still can't believe he was the underdog. Velasques was bumped by UFC but his time is over, he isn't a good fighter anymore. #SadButTrue

Now let's wait another 3 years for the next Velasquez fight.

Oh well, Dana White wanted to bring the real "heavy weight' division again, sadly, it back fired as Cain was just a his former self.

I don't know, for me Cain will have to undergo a lot, physically and mentally to be able to come back again and I'm not seeing it in the next 2-3 years.
6284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's angel in disguise on: February 19, 2019, 07:00:48 AM
Come to think of it. Bitcoin is not the talk about of the people because of its low value. It has negative effects atleast , but even though it turns that way, you can notice that it will be more popular that way.  Its not the way we want it to be advertised but its better because its spreading like virus. Good job negative people. Keep spreading bitcoin and let curious people check it out.

Well, you can put it that way.

Just imagine that bitcoin survived it's first 10 years despite the attacks, specially in the beginning of its career. And now we are entering another 10 years and still there are people or entity who continue to bad mouth it, but the more they tried, the more people get curious about bitcoin and chances are the more people are going to enter the market in the next decade.
6285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 19, 2019, 06:32:37 AM
WTF is 178 to 164? I understand its a fun night and all but coming from "wade broke kobe's nose on all-star" and "Lebron tried to block kobe but mamba dunked anyway" into the age where the game ends 178 to 164 just simply SUCKS. I grew up watching Indiana and pistons basketball, spurs shutting everyone down, games ending under 100 points all the time, pistons keeping their opponents under 80 points 7+ times in a row.

Oh man, I understand your frustrations, well I grew up watching Detriot's Bad Boy days in the 80's. But you have to understand that the game is evolving as well. Have you noticed that there are no more "true centers" in the league? All 7 footer's love to shoot 3's as well just like a guard.  Grin

Now, don't get me wrong I love the game to death and I don't want to change the whole game we play but at least all-star weekend could be a bit better. For the first time in almost a decade I did not stayed up to watch the game and honestly I am not regretting it at all.

The "three point" contest had 7 people in it and they all shot 25 shots in total, that comes down to 150 shots total, the all-star game itself had 169 three points tried, think of a game that has more three points shot than the three point contest itself, I love three pointers but that is tooooo much.

Again, as I have said, players evolved, games evolved of course even All Star need to adapt's as well. Slam dunks, 3 point's and even the game itself.  Grin
6286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: hesitant about investing in Bitcoin. on: February 17, 2019, 07:32:52 PM
I'm also holding on to the fact that everyday, lots and lots of bitcoin ATMs are being installed everywhere in the world. This only goes to show that bitcoin is now getting the attention and support of the larger community, and it's getting larger and larger each time. I'm actually not buying the negative reasons, though everything is a possibility. Weighing things out, there are still more good reasons to invest in crypto, particularly in bitcoin, than to be afraid and pull out. It's greatly potential to transform our economic and financial landscapes. If there is the best time to engage in it, it's now, while the bull is still resting. Once it starts running, we cannot chase its price anymore. It's better to try your luck in crypto now than pull back, be left out and cry with regret soon.

I don't know if ATM's though is a good sign that we are getting closer to an adoption. What we really need is merchants readily accepting bitcoin as payment scheme, to say that we can get a large support group or even be globally adopted.

I would understand people being hesitant though, the market is not improving, so why jump in? In a financial stand point, I would rather used my money in other things, instead of investing and just waited it out till the start of the next bull run, but that's just me.
6287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of ETF approval to gamble industries! on: February 17, 2019, 03:04:33 PM
Now that news are filter in that ETF is about to be approved by sec, I will like to ask about your views on this.  Will ETF approval affect gambling industry especially the crypto gambling industry?

For the sake of argument, let's say that a ETF has been approved, there's a wildly believed that it will push the price. So for some gamblers, it might affect them in a negative way. Are they willing to play their 1 BTC when the price is $30k?

How about the transaction speed? It might clogged the network again when the price hits all-time-high that might sway gamblers not to deposit because it might delay their playing pleasure.
6288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: February 17, 2019, 12:12:46 PM
There are some advantages to online casino over offline ones. The online ones offer lots of fair choices while there aren't much choices with the offline ones.  They can be rigged and there is no easy way to know if they are fair like the online based ones
I don’t think so, both online and offline offers fairness because if not, no more gambler will go to casinos. Playing online is good since it makes more convenient to play but it will still depend on you if you still want the offline games or you are more on online gambling.

Well, not all of the gambling sites. There are still a lot of gambling sites out there that offers "fairness" but they really not. They can just post something like that or make a sign for it in their sites and a lot of people will believe that. People want to earn money in their own ways, even if fooling other people. That is the reason why we need to be really careful.

Even with the legal and trusted sites it is very difficult to win in casino games. Most of the time the house win and the customers just lose in online casino games. I prefer bets on matches as these are much better option and there is not chance the site scam you. You see a match, bet on it and finally win or lose depending upon the result of the match.

Of course!  The sports betting and the trust makes a lot of sense.
I wonder if it is possible to be part of  sports betting without  ever watching  football matches?
And are there  ways to  learn the betting quickly? How long does it take  to learn.

I doubt it mate, you need to watch football games in the past and learn the teams strength and weaknesses before you can make bets. Of course you can read a lot on particular teams online, but nobody beats the old and traditional way of becoming a good handicappers in sports betting, that is follow the team with your heart, lol.

So for me there's no secret way to learn betting quickly, sorry to burst the bubble.
6289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather Vs Mystery Boxer on: February 17, 2019, 12:00:35 PM
.. snip ..
There's a lot of money currently being thrown at Rizin MMA in japan. I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd's next opponent was either from Rizin or one of the asian kickboxing promotions. Floyd's a massive pay per view draw and celebrity worldwide, having him fight in japan must be huge from a promotional perspective. They could conceivably pay Floyd $10+ million per fight against subpar competition and easily make their money back from Floyd's massive draw power and brand recognition.
.. snip..

But I can't really understand Japanese promotions willing to get Floyd that bigger money, how can they make their money back since its based on Japan only? Yes, Floyd is a brand name itself, but its just confined in Japan to an extend to some Asian countries I don't know how can they recover it back, to be honest.
6290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market will be recovery current year 2019 ? on: February 16, 2019, 03:04:50 PM
For 2019 I am more optimistic about a recovery, and I will risk my patience to hold this year, and hopefully there will be better results.

This year should turn out to be good year and rise so that it can reach above 10k atrlast in coming months which will boost the market and the investors so had being holding for a year now can get some returns on their investment .
We should be lucky if price holds this position trough entire year, not not drop lower than 3k dollars. If price goes higher than 4k dollars by the end of this year and stay there that would be great, it would be nice start for next year, when halving will happen. We need to be patient and not to wish too much, 10k is great, it will come eventually, but not so fast as people expect.

I don't know but for me, it looks like this price won't hold or at least we will see it moving sideways so I wouldn't be surprised for the duration of the year, the price may not hold or go down below $3k.

I have accepted that this may happen, so I won't be buying anytime soon and I would rather wait for the last leg down, before making my decision. I'm not giving advises here, this is just my personal theory.
6291  Economy / Economics / Re: The Perfect Storm of Bitcoin Birth on: February 16, 2019, 02:43:09 PM
My only argument is that bitcoin should start to evolved as well. It's no longer treated like a currency without the middleman. It's not being sought as store of value or investment platform. Specially when the price goes from $.1 - $100.

That's why regulations comes in. Government became very hostile because of the so-called negative impact if can bring to their society.

I think we need some negotiations in-between so that we can move forward, in my opinion.
6292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DUMP CENTRALISED CRYPTO !! on: February 16, 2019, 02:11:47 PM
its like having you guys as traitors in decentralized revolution !!

Just saying, i explained one of my friend the concept of RIPPLE is thought it was the same as BITCOIN, he thanks me for taking my time to put some light on crypto concepts.

Can you please tell me why you support centralized coins ? you love government busting your ass ?

It's two fold as far as I can concern, Ripple is a centralize coin no doubt about that, but the market is open and lots of speculators. Speculators who doesn't care about the effects or shall I say they're not a purist.

All they wanted is to make quick money and they don't fucking care if it's a centralize or decentralize coins. As long as they can ride the wave by joining the bandwagon, then they will do it, sad but true.
6293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 16, 2019, 01:53:35 PM
Team world loss guys, 144 - 161, a very high scoring game.
For a while, I thought they had a chance but the team USA is just too good tonight, they are shooting well.

I'm waiting now on who will be declared as MVP, it's probably Kuzma IMO.

Wow, I thought Team World will take this one, but Team World was shooting poor specially in three points category and had more turnovers. Simmons lead them with 28 points, while Team USA had Kuzma with 35 points.

So he takes the MVP this year. Hats-off to him. It will also bring more confidence to him as a Laker.
6294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 16, 2019, 01:37:30 PM
This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

Money is not the problem, but if it's going to eat your mind then you need to stop because it will bring you more harm in the future.

Just stay positive, as I have said, it's only money. You can earn it, but you need to control your self or be responsible if you want to continue to gamble.

I've been in situation like this, much worst like this. But I'm glad that I was able to snap back in time and realized what's happening on my life that's why I learn to control myself and not playing all my money as f it's the end of the world and there's no more tomorrow.
6295  Economy / Economics / Re: Expert Opinion about Cryptomarket 2019 on: February 15, 2019, 05:10:06 PM
It's good to trust a crypto expert but don't be too sure, and I think to try to make a profit in the short term we need to make our own research and strategy.

What? trust crypto expert? First, there's no such thing as expert here, Second, if you believed in them, its like believing that Santa is real. And most of time, those supposedly, crypto expert prediction is a missed. And they are just like you and me, just making a wild educated guess.

If you know how to do TA then much better, if you don't then try to learn it so that you don't need to really to others so called expert predictions.
6296  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 v/s 2019 on: February 15, 2019, 04:43:48 PM
Get over the 2018 scenario, It's already 2019 and a new ball game for everyone.

As other's have said, past performance is a not a indication of future success or failure, so I wouldn't put too much on the 2018 vs 2019. Learn to look at the bright side specially if you're here for the long haul. But cheap coins in 2019 and HODL for the next one to two years. No need to go technical and make things complicated on our end.
6297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Malfunction Looking for investor ASAP on: February 15, 2019, 04:32:00 PM
I dig around on many many Bitcoin casinos until I find something lucrative to hit hard. I found a Malfunction/but on a slot and i cashed over 3btc in 5 minutes.

https://imgur.com/a/JyI2J2t

I want to up the stakes with 2-3 btc to play .05 btc spins. I will turn it into 30btc + fast. I will use some of my coins too. We will split 50/50 the profit.

Write me on telegram @william_crabtree if your ready. I can prove the Wallet address I withdraw to is mine also.

No BS let's hit it big it won't last only taking 1 person to invest with.
This is not adding up the equation. If you have won 3 btc and cashed out then why not you use these btc and keep playing with them until you get the 30btc. Why would you share the winnings with anyone. Be selfish hehe

It's because there's no malfunction slot machine and everything was just a ploy to attract greedy gamblers here. And I'm sure that the casino itself is monitoring if there's a bad machine and obviously a win on a bad or malfunction or rig machine is voided.

He can just go and search for wallets in blockchain and claim his, this individual is not to be trusted by even a penny.
6298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 15, 2019, 04:21:18 PM
And thats how Klay separates from real superstars. He's ability is limited to only pure shooting skills, if he's having an off-night, he cant do nothing to help his team get the W.

I disagree, Curry also have an off night when he is locked down by his defender but they are lucky to win some games.

Seems like we don't notice how improve the Portland TrailBlazers this season, they have improve their defense inside and the back court duo of Lillard and C. J. McCollum are blending well, they are moving the ball well, and shoot outside with great percentage, and we should also note
that some of their players even big man are shooting well in the 3 point spot.

I disagree as well. Klay Thompson is a better defensive player than Curry so he can contribute in the defensive side as well. It's just his on a off-night and he can't do anything and definitely he vent his frustrations. Lillard and C. J. McCollum on the other hand is clicking I saw some youtube interviews of the two and it seems they're really focus to bring Portland to the next level.

Well, thats just my opinion and views towards Klay, besides, there were couple of defensive players around his team, so that makes him less noticable on that end.
While on the other hand, Portland is a team that really has something to prove in the playoffs.  Lillard and CJ is a perfect compliment for each other.

Yep, the Lilard and CJ tandem is a perfect match for Portland. As for Klay, of course his main weapon is his outside shooting but his defense is sometimes underrated. He play good defense in my opinion. I wouldn't say elite though, as others may have suggested, but he has a good perimeter defense.

As for the Team World vs Team USA, I'll go with Team World here.
6299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: February 15, 2019, 04:04:48 PM
I really love seeing some thread that tackles positivity than the negative effect of crypto specially in countries from the continent of africa in which experiencing poverty but yet come to join the cryptocurrency fever.

It's because crypto is sound money for them, and it will be a big help for them to alleviate their standard of living through the help of crypto, I reckon.

sometimes i am asking why countries like them are more involved than the bigger ones.they are more supportive than my own country though we have no strict regulations regarding crypto

Bigger nations will lost a lot if their population will be totally in crypto, just like China says. They think it will disrupt their stable economy. On the other hand, developing nation has nothing to lose and it's a win-win situation for them, that's why it's easy for their government to turn pro-crypto.
6300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 14, 2019, 02:52:41 PM
Warriors had a blowout loss today losing to Portland 107-129. Trailblazers had good contribution from the whole roster with NINE players in double digits and Lillard scoring 29 points on top of it. On the other hand, just Durant and Curry managed to reach double digits scoring 32 each.
Nice game hustle for the Trailblazers, props to them. It is very rare to see a solid line up like GSW get beaten in a game, and take note, with a double digit lead. Anyway, if Durant and Curry are the players who carry the team then what happened to Thompson? Hmm, it seems that he is not so lucky today lol, what a very unusual scenario Grin. (Sorry I wasn't able to watch their game)

There's a lot of drama in GSW lost. Steve Kerr was ejected, Cousins didn't play and the management just decided to rest him, Green was called for a flagrant foul on Collins, and then there was some words thrown between Collins and Klay.

It was a tight game until Portland out scored them in the 4th canto, 35-12. Portland snapped GSW's five game winning streak, before the all-star-break.
