.006 sent

TX: https://blockchain.info/tx/165446fbf079cdc36133608d3035ade59ffb0f9576f9c6faef46805599802e83

Please repay to 1812FDuZEU7PrgmpddVjMAaDyDhQPdwxmA .
thank you very very much!

I will repay $8 in 2 weeks

There's a problem here you guys should work out now.

kopipe is expecting to be paid back .01 BTC in 2 weeks.
drakdedog is expecting to pay back $8 in 2 weeks.

These could be two hugely different numbers by then.  Which is it?  $8 or .01BTC?

Oh, I didn't realize the 2nd part of his post asking to be repaid .01 BTC

kopipe, are you ok with me repaying $8 in 2 weeks or should I send back the .006 and try to find someone else for the loan?

What if bitcoin was $2000 USD per coin, then the lender would be making an absolute loss.
If you are to take a loan in bitcoin, it is always expected you to pay back in bitcoin, using bitcoin as the currency, not using a reference from USD.

Quote
yeah I guess you're right

would anybody consider doing this instead:

loan me .006 BTC and I will payback .008BTC ?

I can do that for a 1 LTC collateral.

6304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dear Newbies, DONT BET on: November 23, 2013, 04:14:27 AM
I dont know how to say this to you... Basically I started winning large amount and i was happy. Then I started stretching my luck and ended up losing 1.1 BTC. The thing is that you may seem that this is just a one time thing and it wont hapen to you, but I hate to break to you but IT WILL. Please do not face the same fate as I did and lose everything! Please avoid betting and losing $900. Although I havent lost any of my money (I hard earned it) it still sucks. Thanks!

lol, nahtnam, you're the newbie now Tongue
Just-dice really draws in the bitcoin lovers, until we lose it all.  I've lost more than 4 BTC there, which is kinda sad considering that's now over $3000 USD.

I am trying to stop people from losing!
Tell them to kill themselves then, because in life, you lose.

6307  Economy / Gambling / Re: *WIN 100uBTC PER FREE GAME OF BITNOPOLY* Bitnopoly Tournements + More! on: November 23, 2013, 04:01:58 AM
You do know that bitnopoly came out like months ago right?  I was one of the first to play Smiley
I like Gambit, it's a great site with great games, the only problem is that it needs more players.  I would like to have no trouble finding a game..
6308  Economy / Reputation / Re: Neiq's reputation thread on: November 22, 2013, 10:21:25 PM

6309  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GoldenTowns.com - Get Paid to Play - Signup/play Bonus - UP TO 1.12 FREE BTC on: November 22, 2013, 10:12:30 PM
So you don't need to actually do anything to gain levels... Just have a production building at level 2 and keep firing then hiring the same worker and it turns 1 energy to 1 exp everytime. Might not update but a quick refresh to the browser will clear it up. Works well If you have excess energy and dont have enough workers/resources to do anything productive

huh?

Poster is correct, the rules have changed in the game, hiring and firing workers takes energy and gives experience. this caught me by surprise and drained good amount of energy before I noticed this. OP, you might get some people doing this Wink

That is correct and still correct in the current version of goldentowns, but it's a useless feature.  Levels don't matter much in goldentowns.  Only do this if your energy keeps on hitting 100%.
A great feature would be if they actually added in game bonuses for each level up, not just state proposed law bonuses when leveling.

I newbie, could you please remove the referral link or else I'll have to negative rep you.
At least post the alternative normal link in your original post too.
6312  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the status of my bitcoins? on: November 22, 2013, 09:53:26 PM
How long after a person sends you Bitcoins does it show up on blockchain?

It should show up very soon, it should actually show up right after they send it to you as an unconfirmed transaction.  Enter your TxID on blockchain.info and check.

No matter how it looks, I'm stating facts here. It's not like I'm trying to increase my offering at the last minute, its the same offer I've had all along... I need 4.5, and will repay 5 next week.

You're wondering why nobody loaned you yet?  Let's use some real world examples, shall we?
You are at a cafe.  A man suddenly walks up to you, and asks to borrow $3000 USD in cash.  He says he currently has the money to pay you back once he gets his paycheck next week.

Do you lend him?

If you say yes, PLEASE, dear God, get out.

What you described is exactly how loans work, except usually in a bank. A guy walks in, asks to borrow $3000 and says he will pay them back when he gets paid. Not so odd when it happens inside a bank, huh? And before you shout about not being a bank, yeah, I get that. But your example is taking it to the extreme. I'm not expecting anybody to just give me a 4.5 btc loan without getting something as collateral. Unfortunately, the only collateral anybody here is really looking for is litecoin, which I've stated before, I have very little of.

BTW, can I borrow $3k USD? preferably cash. I figured since we're not in a cafe, I'd ask.

But look, you are borrowing this online, which makes it even more dangerous.
In a bank, or a bank under government juristiction at least, would ask you for many IDs, references, credit rating, and I'm not sure, but perhaps even a collateral.

If you think this is not the case of borrowing from a bank, be my guest and take the loan from them instead.  They'll offer you a shitload of better rates too.
6314  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (SELL) 8.50 BTC on: November 22, 2013, 09:26:50 PM
Be very cautious with this user. PM'd him a few hours ago. Doesn't answer PM's and claims to have sold BTC already. All signs point to scam.

I PMed him too, he is not answering.  Guess I'll have to buy off localbitcoins again :/

shonca was fast and easygoing.  i would trade again.

6318  Economy / Lending / Re: Borrowing 1.37BTC from anyone. (Will return more!) on: November 22, 2013, 09:09:02 PM
This "bank' you're talking about..  WHy can't everyone just invest 5 BTC?  It sounds like a good deal to me, so I come to the sudden conclusion that

1. you're lying
2. It's a scammer bank
3. you do not currently inhabit on earth.

I don't know any bank that would return an investment PLUS like 8% weekly interest.  No, that's not possible.
Plus, could you give us your address?  I'm doubting if you actually have the coins.
6319  Economy / Lending / Re: What ever happened to Joey (the lending scammer)? on: November 22, 2013, 09:04:47 PM
After Joey's account, he made many other accounts.  He's probably still here somewhere.
Or maybe he died.
