Now it's the shipping companies fault; beware of pirates lol!

So what does the PSU company have to say about this turn of events and how much did BA extort from them?
6303  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: November 08, 2014, 05:46:22 PM
So the final verdict is no fire just blinking LEDs reflecting off polished metallic surfaces and smoke from a shorted transistor?

Seriously, is this the reason why I've received nothing for the thousands of dollars I paid a year ago?

I pulled the rip cord in March. Refund was promised in April. They reneged on that promise in August, offering one bullshit excuse after another.

Where I live, electricity costs $0.35 per gW/h. If my miners arrived today and I plugged them in, I'd be losing money from the start. Not to mention the several hundred I'd have to pay for customs.

The saddest part is, it looks like they're going to get away with it, due to their convoluted - and largely anonymous - ownership structure. But the least I can do is to help spread the truth about them.

@ 35¢/kWh this is how much your X3 will cost you per 24/h if it arrived today:

the latest story is that the piece of shit can't be shipped without getting physically damaged, which is obviously a physical design flaw, as if these people didn't realize they'd have to ship these things and other manufacturers are not managing to actually ship their products.

None of the 8 units I have were damaged in shipping.  just as an aside.  In fact based on the way the cards are held in place, it'd be kind of hard to damage.

I do have to wonder if they even know what the problem really is or if this is just another theory that is just a shot in the dark, as was their story that it was power supply last time around.

Whatever the case may be you know that implementing this software fix will be good for at least another months worth of delay before the next round of victims go up in smoke.

This won't be an issue for much longer though as the X3 is almost worthless and nobody will be turning them on.

The Mohenjo Daro Mystery
An ancient, heavily populated city in Pakistan was instantly destroyed 2,000 years before Christ by an incredible explosion that could only been caused by an atomic bomb.

I suspect the pyramids were used for more than just powering street lights.

You're not actually suggesting the ancient Egyptians used the pyramids to nuke a city in Pakistan, right? Grin

Either way, ivanst776 obviously didn't see the link I posted; they debunked that story as well - you can see an index of all the subjects they addressed in the video description, and this one starts at 2h11m and goes on for about 9 minutes, until 2h20m. The truth is there is no evidence of an explosion, the city wasn't destroyed (mud buildings at the site are mostly intact), the skeletons they refer to were buried (some a thousand years apart), and the texts they quote apparently don't even translate to what they claim. Tongue

The first nuke is said to have been detonated in the early 50's. After 60+ years I'm fairly sure they're long since obsolete and only kept around for display purposes. I'm also sure the ancient Egyptians were good and honest folk and wouldn't misuse their fantastic power of the Gods like that.

They have said you stole it and are calling you liars...

Do remember though that there's a pretty significant interest for BA in that. If BA did sell it then they're in breach of their own privacy policy and will get sued / fined to hell. By accusing a theft they muddy the waters and potentially anyone going after them. While retaining the cash / benefit of the transaction.

I'm not sure how exactly one goes about suing them. There's an office/factory in China Shenzhen run by Russian Engineer Alexey Andreev (goes by handle Nemesidis on their forum), office/bank in China HK, CFO in UK "City of London" Daniel Andronic, CEO/office(Destro)/bank in UK Reading Alexandru Sovu (user blackarrow also goes by Alex Berk), reseller Logic Ethos somewhere in the UK run by a guy named Stuart (user flappysocks) and, an office(Merlion) in the Virgin Islands. Add in a girl named Silvia who answers the phone & reads the e-mails, some kid named David (user david105396) in the Netherlands who serves coffee, a US reseller in Colorado named Minersource run by Matt Carson (user Bobsag3) and Dan Murtha and has since changed its company name to Miner Hosting. Alex S. and Dan A. are Romanian and are probably constructing a Gypsy palace there right now with my money.

I don't want a worthless miner that's 8 months past due, obsolete and a fire hazard. Can I have my money back please?
6314  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: November 03, 2014, 01:09:41 PM
So this latest unit to burst into flames didn't have the large green electrolytic capacitors and it was "CE" certified with the new PSU?

6315  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: XBTec Announce. New ASIC manufacturer. on: November 03, 2014, 02:43:37 AM
Seeing that they actually deliver product spam from XBTec is the least of my worries.

As for Black Arrow I would like to see a refund or, my miner delivered ($5k worth) or, the company shuttered. It's unacceptable that they remain in business after committing fraud on such a large scale.

Bitcoin is a pump and dump just like gold is. This says it all.

Isn't gold also getting scammed to hell with tungsten and paper gold?
6319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: November 02, 2014, 12:16:04 PM
No, we're not. Not yet. Until we get rid of the greedy scammers and the scum. And until the greedy people stop being greedy. But that's never gonna happen.

The more money there is in bitcoin (i mean as the price of bitcoin goes up), the more motivations that there are for scammers to figure out ways to exploit various weaknesses in bitcoin (whether that is taking transactions off the blockchain or some other schemes to obtain the bitcoins of others).

You mean like all the ASIC companies and the thousands of miners who got robbed blind by pre-order scams? How about the half a billion dollars in coins Empty Gox made disappear? First Pirate Savings & Trust?
