What about you..entering the pearly gates as one of gods greatest humans?  I may have something coming to me but it won't be for the way I've treated other humans in my lifetime.
6303  Economy / Reputation / Re: scammed by this account " ChiBitCTy " on: April 09, 2018, 05:06:25 AM
If I had a picture of your ugly ass I’d post that too. Extortion is a serious crime. You deserve to be seen for what you are.

I have defrauded by someone his account was like you , and i sent the transaction id , and i said i'm sorry if it wasn't you , you are just abusing your DT power , and i hope everyone see it!

Haha I have no power here nor a DT. I have zero tolerance for scammers. You deserve to be locked
Up not given pitty. Funny thing you never removed your neg Left or said sorry to me.

6305  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Ometeotl + Quetzalcoatl Full 6 Coin Set #16 on: April 09, 2018, 01:00:48 AM
These were made by forum member defcon23, I'm not sure if they're still active here.  I'm also wondering if these coins are in the encyclopedia?

Not in the version I have. Man, there is A LOT to clean up in the encyclopedia. Defcon also did the "FSociety" chips and that small bar with the .999 silver stamp which is false..right?

Ometeotl: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1503823.msg15128461#msg15128461

Wow looked like you guys had some fun with Defcon23 sales.  I just read how the "silver' bars he had made were also sold by his manufacturer and that any "limited edition" could have 2..3 or whatever number of exact copies. I remember buying them off ebay b4 my days here. It's so important I put it in a frame Smiley  It's also aging horribly.

He also made the anonymous/fsociety chips and the others with the BTC logo and a number on the other side. But that has nothing to do w/auction so moving on..Good luck.  The one thing he did right was make these, glad I've got a set!

So chronicsky you have unfunded ones as well?!?! Terrible, neg incoming this seems to be troubling.  I would hope some more dt members paint their account as my trust rating wont effect them much.....when is this madness going to stop.

Just like Ty said...how is it you do not carry weight around here with your ratings? Also how does ones DT get created...promoted etc etc? Any links? I am curious...i figured legendary with stellar trust and feedback surely must have a certain level of DT?

that is true! Wheelz has been great member to the community along with many others

For trust, Theymos adds people to "DefaultTrust" list, those members are called DT1 and the people from DT1 further add people  which become DT2

That is the basic frame, some changes here and there and more details

I'd say that it's about time then. Few people on this forum care more about watching out for others than that man. The forum is not better off with him being left off that list.

Guys thanks wasnt trying to derail was just hoping that someone from dt would paint them.  Would hate to see more people get burned by them.  MJs should be enough but the more there are the better

Fwiw i dont want to be on the default trust list either, bitcoin is a hobby for me and want to keep it that way.  I like sticking to the collectable and mining subs and generally working with people and met some of you irl which are great people.  I fear default trust comes with its share of nonsense i dont think i want to deal with.  Smiley

Ahhhh. I didn’t understand it what so ever until Sky-mall just explained it.  My bad! Lol. Well that’s unfortunate, your trust rating should matter here DT no DT.  I shalt try and sign you up for jobs anymore Wheelz  Cheesy

Yes..so the Sir Isaac Newton coin is required to be loaded with 1000 Infinitum coins https://infinitumcoin.com/site/coin-detail.  I just checked and looks like they've sold about 40ish of 999 possible coins.  Also I now noticed it states this coin costs $220 but will get bumped to $1,670 after the ICO.  Hmm, ok thats normal  Huh

What makes a lot of sense is that their first 4 coins are called Infinitum Bitcoins, but with their ICO they state how Bitcoins decentralization is essentially the bad thing about Bitcoin...pick a side, which is it?!

They've also got notices on their main webpage saying due to Christmas and new years there could be a shipping delay.  It it Nov/Dec again already?

bumped to 1670 ? :/
lol

They suck at updating their page. i bought the coins cos price of btc went high but on their site was low and that way we paid only 0.01 or so for the coin which was supposed to be same as funding until...

Which makes it a massive red flag.  NOTHING makes sense about this company.  Did you see the CEO and how many business it says he's currently running?  lol unreal.

most probably yes
mine are with MJ and he ordered a batch - so i guess let's wait for him to confirm. It's either unfunded or funded with 0.001 instead of promised 0.01

This is what I do not understand about this forum...how in the hell is that the case?!  It doesn't make sense to me that a legendary member who's also a coin maker with nothing but positive trust and a lot of it ..not hold significant weight?!  I mean I don't trust ya all that much Wheelz, but everyone else sure seems to!  Cheesy

Unfortunately we've got yet another scam coin maker on our hands.

Oh and this scum bag is next : https://www.etsy.com/listing/575857935/limited-edition-silver-bitcoin?ref=hp_rv

hahahah yeah, things depend on DT1 and their trust list here- from the start thats been the case

and CHi, those are the ones which say silver but aren't really silver, right?

Yeah that guy on etsy made it look like his coin was .999 solid silver when it's only plated.  Very shady with the way his page was set up.  When I emailed and asked about silver content and mintage (says 25..there's a bunch out there)..never heard back. I saw him finagle with his webpage over the next couple weeks...moving around the silver content description and number of coins left.  This was surely due to me having issued a charge back.  He would not respond at all to me, so I got to keep the coins and my money back.  One is in the Save the Bees auction.  Actually we've got a couple nice scammers in their now, Xboxthreefixme being the other.

So here's an examples of what my coins looked like

Infinitum Bitcoins is part of Sandcastles Investment Group Limited -https://www.infinitumbitcoins.com/contact-us.html

Address
Infinitum Bitcoins
c/o Sandcastles Investment Group Limited
Geneva Place
Waterfront Drive
Tortola, Road Town
British Virgin Islands

Founder and CEO's LinkedIn page-  https://www.linkedin.com/in/zuber-mohsan-5536b612/

I don't see anywhere on the CEO's LinkedIn page where it speaks to them being based out of the British V.I.  Here is an article that discusses why companies are often set up to be held in the British V.I. and physically located elsewhere (which raises more red flags)  http://www.businessinsider.com/british-virgin-islands-offshore-haven-where-trillions-are-hidden-2017-6

I also don't see any other employees of Infinitum on LinkedIn, please correct me if I'm wrong.

These guys are barely advertising and all web pages are extremely vague...something certainly feels very off here.

yeah i remember buying these and mine look these bad as well :/
Also bought these when the bitcoin price was dropping and these were supposed to be funded by 0.01 each if i remember correct but they didn't came funded

Weren't they also doing ICO and giving free tokens to whoever bought their coins?

I have 3 that are supposed to be loaded. They aren't. I kept emailing them but still no response. It's been 3 months.

Also any loaded coins they have they claim that 1 bitcent is 0.001 instead of 0.01.

Seriously wow thats terrible.  Do you know of anyone else that they have not loaded their coins (maybe you were the unlucky one off).  And yeah the bitcent verbiage is definately misleading.  Not that there is a specific official name for .01btc but it is widely called a bitcent.  I hope this isnt another scam company, too many of these over the last couple of years

I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this.  I've heard very little good about this coin maker from anyone here, and have heard plenty of negative things.  I am in the process of putting a lot more information together but this is a start- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2597881.msg34156552#msg34156552

Knowledge is power- I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences good or bad.

I bought 1000 coins with them. + 300 free
They are backed by Saudi Arabia if u dig deep enough (not that deep/hard)
Everything is backed in bitcoin so if bitcoin crashes everything crashes so Infinitum is backed in silver and what are the chances of silver crashing
Following that line of thinking people will put their money in silver benefiting in ATM Card if they deliver
Why the lack of promotion. Are not most of ppl here looking for a quick Buck INF being aware of that looks only for solid investors MORE AND MORE COMPETITION EVERYWHERE (close to 1500 different coins and tokens) so even if everything crashes u will have your silver

I am an aspiring content writer although i have 1300 inf coins (i admit i am shilling a bit cant argue herre i am painting them  positive and yes customer support was very nice to me i bogged up when buying the coins and customer support was spot on)

So i have little money i made a little gamble . If u have more make a bigger gamble ( pretty used to gambling everyday aint ya) while its 0.10 a coin
Being connected to big real estate company they seem pretty good gamble

At least you admit all you truly care about is #1.  Hopefully others can see why your opinions hold zero value.
6319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Infinitum Coin ICO on: April 07, 2018, 02:45:54 PM
I am currently putting together a report on this company as I now believe it to be a scam, on some sort of level.  I personally purchased 4 coins from Infinitum and am in the process of returning/refund (I paid with a CC, not BTC..which means I could have done a chargeback..which I had to threaten to do when they would not respond to emails).  The coins are some of the most poorly minted coins I've ever bought form a company that claims to be a new mint serious about making coins going forward.  A friend whom is one of, if not the highest trusted member here on the forum, was scammed by Infinitum- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=525376 .

There is so much more.  The Encyclopedia for Physical Bitcoins and Crypto-Currencies has this company listed out of the British Virgin Islands, but I just returned my coins to: Attention :
Mr Ali
TGD limited
Office 205
Building AA1
Mazaya business avenue
Jumeriah lake towers
Dubai
United Arab Emirates

Phone number 0504516476

I originally asked for a partial refund.  Of the 4 coins 1 was not so bad minting wise, but has a considerable amount of toning which they claimed to be "natural".  I'm a numismatist and understand this concept and it's clear to me they are not serious about the way they are storing their coins ( which means they likely don't care about the quality of the coins at all in reality).  I decided to return all 4 coins however when they claimed that during a partial refund they could only give back part of what I paid for that portion..claiming that Paypal keeps funds in return situations. I have been using ebay and paypal since it opened and this is 100% false.  They will also ask you to pay for return shipping if you don't want to exchange your poor condition coins for

On their websites (https://infinitumcoin.com/site/about-us) About Us page, they state "Founded in 2015 Infinitum had a vision to merge the digital world with the physical world. Our range of physical bitcoins have been collected since their launch in 2015 and have seen generous increases in their resale value".  Their coins are far from sold out.  As an avid physical crypto-coin collector I can promise you their coins have not "seen generous increases in their resale value" as no one would pay more for a coin that is still for sale at base cost (outside the possibility of one or two isolated events, like an ebay sale where buyer did zero research).  I've never once seen anyone try and resell their coins on here, ebay or anywhere else.

Here: https://www.infinitumbitcoins.com/shipping-and-refund-policy.html they conviently fail to mention that regardless of how poorly your coins arrive, if you want to exchange them or return them you're on the hook for shipping.  Now i'ts your fault if you don't ask about this up front, but it's clearly left off the Shipping, Canceling and Returns policy page so that you will not see it and potentially think twice about making that purchase.  A shady business practice.

I didn't care about researching what I thought sounded like a silly ICO (like 99% of them ) because I was simply looking to purchase a physical coin.  But now that I have started to do the research [white paper: https://infinitumcoin.com/], it's pretty clear to me this project has no legs what so ever.  It makes no sense and is positioning itself as a better Bitcoin.  They are essentially admitting they believe in centralization, but saying they are "like" bitcoin..which is not at all like bitcoin and exactly what it stands against. The white paper in comparison to the level of money they had hoped to raise, and for the purpose of what for (I dont really fully know at this point but..physical coins, debit cards, a centralized cryptocurrency?) makes little practical sense.  The white paper is laughable.  It provides very little to no detail about the team, how they plan to be different, how their blockchain is established and different than bitcoin, and they fail to detail whether they have qualified the business as a money transmitter and whether or not they have registered at federal levels or obtained those licenses.

A website has detailed a number of some of these glaring Red Flags here: https://concourseq.io/Q/Infinitum%20Coin

I will continue to update this post as I can find time. I will also reach out to them for answers as well as update whether my coins returned actually receive a full refund. (minus shipping-which as a coin collector none of the companies I purchase from charge to return coins if damaged upon arrival -which is to me a great way to get run out of business quickly when you're producing terrible quality items) I've got more researching to do(and more shady info to add) but there was obviously way too many red flags to not bring this to everyone's attention right now.  Cryptocurrency is a cesspool for scams just like it was in the early days of the stock market.  It's simply very easy to scam people in many different ways.  Until others educate themselves/learn how to not fall victim it will continue. It's important we all keep sharing info so we can help prevent others from falling victim.  I highly recommend avoiding this "company" until they can explain all of this to us.
