As a spectator, i feel this devs issue (and split) mainly because financial reason. Long before public channel issue about promoting EGEM token.

Ellaismer want to lead Ella growth organically -> "poor" in short term
The Ellagem dev want to push Ella growth rapidly -> "rich" in short term

This difference became clearer when Ellagem dev started to lose patience and not chill while doing other stuff in real life.
While Ellaismer hold philosophy very highly (no pre-mine and stuff), Ellagem dev created pre-mine token.
Yeah we can argue all token is pre-mine, but what i mean is how it's distributed.

IMO this separation is good for both parties.
6322  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ANN] Ellaism: Altcoin berbasis Ethereum tanpa premine & hardfork kontroversial on: March 11, 2018, 03:03:07 PM

6324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPU Mining for 2018 on: March 07, 2018, 09:14:30 AM
What are the current coins that are profitable on mining using CPU?

I'm currently mining ETN but no luck.

CPU mining only suitable for cryptonote algorithm
So you can still mine:
Monero
Electroneum
Karbo
Sumokoin
Bytecoin
Turtlecoin

6325  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin eventually disappear... on: March 07, 2018, 09:11:08 AM
There will be a fixed number if Bitcoins, and people, because of human error, will accidentally lose Bitcoins every now and then.

This must mean that Bitcoin will eventually seize to exist? Or at least shrink to minimal amounts, when it shrinks to a certain level, it will no longer be useful.

Is this correct?

The amount of Bitcoin "lost" due to human error decrease significantly because of its value
I believe at the moment the amount of new Bitcoins mined are more than the amount of "lost"
Even when no new Bitcoin mined in the future, the amount of "lost" will be so small to affect its value
6326  Economy / Economics / Re: Companies that are scary on: March 07, 2018, 08:59:57 AM

Of all the large companies that are now large internet players, do anyone particularly scare you in terms of how you data and track could be used? Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, …?

I think Google is the most intense in using our personal data, such as: location, search preference, contact, web history (including porn) Cheesy
6327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ellaism: Ethereum network with no premine and no contentious hard forks on: March 05, 2018, 10:32:31 AM
<...>

The 10 second block time is simply a mistake in calculation, the code hasn't been changed from the beginning (as far as i know)
14 second block time means the coin itself now has higher value because of lower emission rate
6328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crpyto Hype seems to be over? on: March 05, 2018, 05:11:11 AM
Its been 2-3 months, and the market size is not increasing, I am worried the fact if I shall continue to look at this market.

The short hype maybe over, but crypto market in overall still good, still bullish

We still can expect good growth yearly, and when we luck the hype will start again

This is long term investment, not a short one

Is parity an actual application then? guess i can use that then.

and blocktime only getting worse, its almost worse than ethereum and ether classic by now when promising 10 seconds it should be 9.5 to 10.5 seconds at all times.

It is around 14 second, revised in https://ellaism.org/about/ >> Technical Information

6331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The newer and better Tether? on: March 04, 2018, 06:58:49 PM
Havven's ICO sold out a couple of days ago raising $30 million. http://blocktribune.com/blockchain-startup-havven-raises-30m-usd-ico/

What do you guys think? Anyone participate in the sale?

Nope, that kind of ICO won't make me even click on their website

First, to "peg" something you must trust centralized party to really store USD inside their vault, and 99% of the time they will stole it (empty vault).
Second (related to point before), cryptocurrency was built so that we don't need to trust any 3rd party for transaction. Why on earth we still wanna peg crypto into fiat and trust 3rd party again..
6332  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Central Bank really have impact on bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 06:50:13 PM
are the price movements related to those speeches of the central banks such as the BOE?

Your title is different from your question, please don't post this kind of clickbait in this forum.

First, Bitcoin (in theory) is a decentralized, open, borderless, trustless, and censorship-resistant currency. Banks cannot stop bitcoin.

Where

Second, Bitcoin is like any other commodities, its price also affected by sentiments i.e. government comments/policies.
6333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.2 (Windows/Linux) on: March 03, 2018, 05:31:07 AM
I remotely installed the 11.2 on my friends pc and is terrible if you disable dual mining, for example, during afternoon is blazing hot so usually turn off dual mining and when it turns dual mining off, is bad, had to reverse to v11 and this is my first time i reversed it. And to mention, 4 out of 8 gpus crashed after dag creation and only lowering the clock core a lot could make them to work again. So back to v11 on that pc and, @claymore you should investigate why updating the kernels brought such drawbacks.

I saw something similar and then changed from "-asm 2" back to "-asm 1" and the single mining went back up where it should have been.

Confirmed,

delete "-asm 2"
fixed hashrate issue
6334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The end of the banks due to bitcoin on: March 02, 2018, 02:18:28 AM
It can be a possibility Roll Eyes

Banks will not end because of bitcoin, since there are so many bank operations other than store and transfer money
Economy still need lending and funding operations by banks
6335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Im afraid of Hackers/Scammers! on: February 28, 2018, 01:47:28 PM
Hey guys.Im a newbie on crypto world. However i started doing my first money 1 year ago using e personal method. However i have improved and now i have like 4-5k worth of alt which i keep on exchange wallets. Are they safe?Or should i get anther wallet?

And yes,I have 100 % secured with email, number ,long password and 2FA but im still afraid

Any point of centralization is prone to attack, so better use your own wallet
If you really concern about security and want to hodl for long time, use paper wallet and safe it in your cabinet
6336  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency pulls country our of tailspin on: February 28, 2018, 01:34:49 PM
As President Nicolas Maduro would say, "Today, a cryptocurrency is being born that can take on Superman."

Having received $735 Million in the first day of pre-sale of the country's "petro" cryptocurrency, President Nicolas Maduro is very much pleased.

He hopes that petro will allow the ailing OPEC member to skirt U.S. sanctions as the bolivar currency plunges to record lows and it struggles with hyperinflation and a collapsing socialist economy.

I think this definitely looks like a great start and can be marked as a compass to what the market hopes to achieve as we enter into this new phase.

This is will be the greatest scam ever,
hopefully those $735 million are from rich people.. not from ordinary people
6337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest problem of altcoins on: February 28, 2018, 03:48:23 AM
....is their complete dependancy of Bitcoin. It really takes all the fun out of crypto trading.

No matter what kind of awesome progress some altcoins make....it doesn't change the trend upwards if Bitcoin doesn't allow it.

Pump and dump groups I also blame. Because of them I'm very positive that Bitcoin won't make it past 30 000 this year. 50 000 to 80 000 would be realistic without pump and dump groups dominating and controlling the prices.

Anyways, these things have to change somehow. The first altcoin developers who claim their absolute freedom from Bitcoin will be the real winners of this crypto game.

I believe BTC price not only represent BTC market only, but also all of cryptocurrency market. In this case, we could expect that if BTC price down, all coins have the tendency to go down also.

I've seen some coins able to rise even when BTC price down, this is simply because that particular coin is highly undervalued so that even it has the tendency to go down, the buying force is still so strong.

So my conclusion is that dependent or independent doesn't matter much
6338  Economy / Economics / Re: There's a new economy growing on this forum - Merit on: February 28, 2018, 03:33:15 AM
I love this new merit system. And I see its use beginning to form a new type of economy here, anyone else see it?

I'm not talking about selling merit. There's been a lot of talk about such but I don't think many transactions are occurring. What is happening is that as everyone spends their merit there becomes significantly fewer people that have any to spend. So the sources become fewer and more centralized and the competition to get merit increases.

Feels like an economy on the verge of recession. Fortunately, merit isn't worth much!

There are so much flaws in this mechanism, just like this forum, it's centralized.
It's prone to abuse of power, not in the spirit of decentralization, but more about want to protect top-ranks circle.
I wouldn't be surprised if merit will be used as commodity in the future, people will buy them in order to rank higher.
I wouldn't be surprised if more linked accounts created, simply because it's more valuable to give it to their other accounts.
The best system already exist! It's Reddit!

Peluncuran MINING Token

6340  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: February 27, 2018, 11:47:39 AM
Hello,

Most of you are confident with the long term for Bitcoin. Yet some altcoins has the same features so why are you so confident about bitcoin and not about litecoin instead?

I compared them and approximatevily the same assets!
The only difference is that bitcoin was the first, is it that important?

There two major differences between BTC and other coins:
1. Hashrate
Hashrate determines network strength to 50% attack. A lot difficult to attack bitcoin than any other coins.
2. Developer
BTC core team is considered the best, so they can implement newest blockchain technology into BTC core blockchain
The other dev cannot catch up with BTC development and code robustness
