6321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 25, 2019, 03:07:58 AM
I'll always like Joe Rogan, and I realize this is the Onion, but he does ask some pretty dumb questions sometimes... Maybe just as a side effect of being too stoned.

Maybe it's not Joe Rogan, but that AI version of him by Dessa?

Hah, that's pretty funny. They forgot to have him work in something about DMT during his chimp hockey team advertisement. Other than that it was perfect.

Well we all knew deep down that 7700 wasnt going to hold and when it broke it would get ugly.

I did not know, either deep down on the inside or otherwise.

Me neither. So much so I signed my name to a prediction saying the opposite.  Roll Eyes

I can only hope I am redeemed by the second half of it coming true (BTC > 10k by Jan 1st).

I'll always like Joe Rogan, and I realize this is the Onion, but he does ask some pretty dumb questions sometimes... Maybe just as a side effect of being too stoned. I haven't listened to him in the last 2 years, which coincides with the time I stopped smoking pot. Apparently he's turned much more mainstream since then.

Quantum thingy....

"Our machine performed the target computation in 200 seconds, and from measurements in our experiment we determined that it would take the world's fastest supercomputer 10,000 years to produce a similar output," Google researchers said
All lies. It's just modern propaganda to scare the masses. There is no such thing as QC.

Which tenet of your religion does quantum computing violate?
6323  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINSBIT.IO EXCHANGE THREAD BOTS POSTING!!! on: October 24, 2019, 11:47:12 AM
I can't believe the thread was launched on September 16th and it already has 65 pages of spam! That must be some kind of a record. We're talking an average of 36 posts per day of just straight 1-2 liner spam all written by the same group of accounts. My hunch is its one person controlling all the accounts.

Probably the dumbest part is it started 5 days after the new bumping changes went into effect!  Cheesy

Man, this exchange got suckered pretty hard. Scammers scamming scammers I suppose.
6324  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINSBIT.IO SCAM EXCHANGE + PONZI SCHEME !!! on: October 24, 2019, 11:40:00 AM
So please for the good of crypto and the credibility of your website design a structure that brings closure either way to such allegations in a promt period of time.....

Dude... you are promoting them via referral program for some shittokens. To be honest you should be tagged for that, but I will wait for the opinion of Nutildah and Jollygood .

Here is my referral link anyway for anyone who wants to get 2000 free CNB:

https://coinsbit.io/referral/9811110a-9cfb-4dfb-b99e-5d200945afe5

I strongly support joining the referral program as you have nothing to lose apart from your time.

It is against the rules to post referral links so I reported the comment.

Hello coinsbit community lately I see that there is news about the coinsbit exchange is a scam?
But I see this community some people give support to coinsbit, so for now I am still confused which one I can trust right now about coinsbit

There is no Coinsbit community.

There is 1 spammer or group of spammers hired by Coinsbit, then there is me and mosprognoz pointing out how this exchange is shady as hell, and occasionally a Cryptotalk sig campaigner wanders by.

You can read more here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5195285.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194551.0

Likely further discussion will be added there.
6326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINSBIT.IO SCAM EXCHANGE + PONZI SCHEME !!! on: October 23, 2019, 03:32:12 PM
Edit: reasons to support the flag on Coinsbit are summarized here.

I looked into it a little bit.

https://coinsbit.io/invest-box

"It’s NOT Pyramid/HYIP, all payments are made from special fund."

Oh, a special fund! That's so much better!!  Roll Eyes

About IGOS token (offering 3.5% tokens "interest"):

IGOS - Official token of iGO Tech Ltd

Its a WAVES token... Costs exactly 1 WAVE ($0.72) to make 100,000,000 tokens.

- home page uses generic graphics seen on a hundred other ICO web pages
- white paper plagiarizes several sources (don't have time to list them all)*
- team founders and CEO likely don't exist
- no social media profiles of any team member

*To be fair plagiarized parts are only language surrounding the idea and not the technical aspects of the idea itself -- those parts seem to be original. Regardless, its certainly not something I would consider investing in.

You have to buy $200 worth of their token to take part in "Investbox", and then after a week you will get a 3.5% "bonus" in the form of tokens. Hard to tell if it compounds or not. Basically its a way of suckering people into buying into their ICO (IEO, whatever).

Basically all of the "investbox opportunities" look like ways for IEOs to raise funds by promising their investors a little extra. I'd have to register a Coinsbit account to find out the details about how it works.

Just to be on-topic for a minute, so no one can say that I never was, I think we're not going much lower for quite a long time, if ever. We may briefly touch $7700 but that's it.

I'll even put my name on it.

Whoops. Damn, it only took 4 hours for me to be proven wrong. If it pulls back up a couple hundred in the next hour I will continue pretending I was right.

Please quote the laws where it says that I do not have the right to be taken serious?

That's not how laws work... Of course, I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

A more reasonable expectation would be you pointing me to the law that says you do have the right to be taken serious(ly).
6329  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vegascasino.io is closing. If you have a balance, go withdraw now. on: October 23, 2019, 09:55:22 AM
Operator of vegascasino.io is mBet Solutions N.V., so claimants have the option to enforce its account balance through legal action if necessary. Smiley

You should resolve the existing scam accusation against you before continuing advertisement of your services.

Nacho whitepaper, nacho coin!

 Cheesy

I was gonna make a similarly dumb joke in their thread, but then I saw your comment, and I don't want to bump it for them. Apparently a single comment from me would bump it up to like 5th or 6th position on the board. I will wait to hear their excuse here before tagging them.
6332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 23, 2019, 08:23:10 AM

Just to be on-topic for a minute, so no one can say that I never was, I think we're not going much lower for quite a long time, if ever. We may briefly touch $7700 but that's it. Going by recent volumes and just my breadth of experience from watching the wall, I think we're due for an eventual catapult back above $10k before the year's end. I'm not going to predict when before Jan 1st, but I do predict that by Jan 1st we will be above $10k.

I'll even put my name on it.

6333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATE CW at conference in London WTF? SCANDAL!!! What really happened? on: October 23, 2019, 08:03:20 AM
Never thought I'd see the day when Satoshi Nakamoto was called a scammer on bitcointalk.org.

I have some evidence that CSW is the author of every Satoshi post on this forum.

The proof is in the pudding. Don't be like CSW -- don't be all talk.

No offence to the OP but we already have this thread isn't it? SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper. Do we really need another topic and give CSW that attention again?

Thanks for mentioning this thread. I encourage everybody to post all new, incoming information about how Craig is a fraud in that thread so it can act as an all-in-one resource to help people understand the severity of his deviousness. MicroGuy is encouraged to make his case there: we will listen to what he has to say if he can back it by substantiating evidence.

Franky1 is a consistent shill and over the top liar who abusively exploits many people's lack of experience with technical matters to make claims which are flat on their face untrue.
...
Franky1's consistent lying is part of why he's banned from the technical subforum.  I don't know why the rest of the community on BCT tolerates him shitting all over so many discussions.

... And he's managed to do it again in this thread (take the subject off course and make it about politics). I don't delve into Development & Technical Discussion much other than to read on occasion, but I can see how it would be annoying having conversations constantly derailed back to the same overly-trodden rut that never goes anywhere.

Offline payments for Lightning Network.

I thought we decided long ago that we didn't much care for custodial solutions?

Anyone who uses a 3rd party wallet for anything is using a custodial solution. If you want to use bitcoin for micropayments, crossing paths with a "custodial solution" (or in this instance, more accurately a LN node) is an inevitability. The blockchain is too big for everyone to walk around with their own full nodes all the time.

 Cheesy Grin

That pic reminds me of the scene in The Truman Show where Truman is using soap to draw a space suit around himself.

If you look at Craig's picture, you'll notice there's a big empty space in the middle of his doodles so the viewer can clearly visualize the depth of his smugness, fully confident in his belief that the world revolves around him.
6337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: October 23, 2019, 03:29:12 AM
New Poll Up:

10/27  1:00 PM
[261] PHILADELPHIA
[262] BUFFALO

None of the games are very close this week, with Eagles currently +2 in this matchup. I'm gonna have to root for them even though they got smashed last week, basically Wentz caused me to lose my fantasy game (now at 4-3). Not many other years in which Buffalo would be on the favored side of this matchup.

On second thought, hmm... I really want to win my fantasy game! I have NYG Daniel Jones as my backup QB. He put up some good numbers last week and is projected to get more points this week than Wentz... Perhaps I'll put him in as they are playing Detroit... Which one of the two would you guys play?

The max amount of session accrued is 3 within the today date. The promo is valid today till 23:59 Moscow Time.
Why do not you have a license in Russia where your physical office is?

You should probably resolve the scam accusation against you before trying to carry on with your "business model" of bullying other casinos.
Even if I killed 10 people, I still have the right to ask why they do not have a license in Russia while having their office there. Wink

Well, one thing you surely don't have the right to is being taken seriously, which, in case you were wondering, nobody does.
6339  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: October 22, 2019, 09:28:00 AM
I wonder if the BSV pump is due to this video tweet by McAfee, in which he said:

Quote
(Bitcoin) emerged from the people: average developers, very bright, none of them special, a couple of PhDs, even Craig Wright -- yes, he was involved...

Of course he's not basing this statement on any observable proof and just wants people to accept what he says as truth because "he's fucking John McAfee," but we all know how BSV can be pumped through a single tweet (or retweet), so I'd say it probably has something to do with it.
