6341  Economy / Reputation / Re: Poll: is it OK to send merits to your own alts? on: January 08, 2019, 11:02:58 AM
Definitely not, it is just like praising oneself for the thing that you've just did or laughing to your own joke and I think that is only present to fools.

6342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUGGYRA COIN ZERO, first blockchain-powered global heavy duty racing enterprise! on: January 07, 2019, 02:34:58 AM
The volume really defines it, don't know how in the world this coin was ever make it to top 100 on coinmarketcap. This coin is a classic pump and dump, a circulating supply of 1 billion with that amounting only $30k volume is hilarious as a shitshitcoin.

Great point of view theymos.

I consider him as genius, great things after it piles up of what he did, he may not be known but at least he give us something we will never forget in this century. If he's known I think he'll get Nobel Prize in many aspects or a new Nobel Prize to be known in human history.

I guess we Jr. Members shouldn't be left out with Satoshis signature, I come up with it base on Heisenberg_Hunter sig codes.

But he abandon us for good, that's the good thing too. He gives us guide to end fiat regime and to ease human live as well in many terms.
6345  Other / Meta / Re: What To Do? on: January 03, 2019, 06:21:31 PM
If it was an android phone you have an option to delete it remotely when/if it goes online somehow.
It won't save you ass but it an option you have to try to do. BTW There is also tracking and self-calling function. You have also option to put a custom message on the display so if the phone is lost and someone finds it, he can return it back to you.

I've been trough losing my phone with all the 2FAs, Coinbase, binance etc, but I manage to recover access to all my accounts. It took me 2-3 weeks coz in November/December 2017 the whole crypto world was crazy.
Nothing is lost .. yet.
Just change the passwords to all the important email addresses first.

The chances are if it will be returned, if it will be lost a rare honest mammal is unexpected or if it's stolen the chance are it will not be returned or the worst it will be sold to other, mobile thief are lurking everywhere especially on urban areas.

If you still remember passwords especially your email since that is most associated on exchanges and wallets that is definitely good, better to secure first your email just like iasenko said.

Better if you save important password, passphrase, private keys, seeds, etc., on a paper or anything like prints. I guess this will be a eye-opener to those who just save through mobiles. It may be good but I guess important things to consider is you have multiple duplicates not just on gadgets.

I am hoping it will be tracked or even not just retrieve all the important things like passwords etc. on your accounts on exchanges and wallets kababayan.

6347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 03, 2019, 05:57:34 PM
I think "Proof of Keys" is an unnecessary burden to the Bitcoin & exchange networks... I don't like the idea of shooting myself in the foot. I understand the idea of not letting exchanges use our coins in a fractional reserve setting, but I don't think it will make a difference for just one day... If they want to do it, they will, since they will always have some of our coins in their wallets. The good qualities of Bitcoin (decentralized, distributed, immutable, fungible, borderless, permissionless, rare, capped, non-inflationary), as compared to fiat, are guaranteed by its design, not by what exchanges do or don't do.

Why not do the opposite: withdraw all of our fiat from the banks! That would put a stress to their network...

It would cause a lot of stress for nearly everyone since loans exceed savings by a very large margin.  In Canada, there is no reserve requirement so theoretically we have an indeterminate (possibly infinite) money supply based on the formula for money multiplier (m) given the Reserve requirement (R):

m=1/R

That being said, I went into the bank a couple of years ago to withdraw more than I was able to withdraw in one day from an ATM (which is $2000) - seems to me I was looking to get around 6k.  First, they wanted to know why I needed "so much" money and if a bank draft or check wouldn't be a better option.  They chastised me for not calling ahead and I had to sit and wait for the money to be ready.  Oh, I was also required to withdraw my maximum from their ATM first (I don't pay a fee if I use theirs so that didn't bother me too much).  When the cashier called me back to the counter, she had a manila envelope she was digging her hand into that I could see had at least two wrapped stacks of $100 dollar bills.  I tried to keep the conversation light-hearted saying "You have plenty of cash there!  Why did you make me take money from the ATM?" and she told me they had been directed to discourage large cash withdrawals.
Fast forward a couple of years to the present and just before Christmas I went to the same branch because it was on my route and I needed some cash.  While they still have people working inside, they don't do physical cash withdrawals.  The only option is to use their ATMs.  They have been popping up everywhere since about the middle of 2018 in this area and I believe one bank calls them "Advice-based Centers" where the bank employees are directed to show you how to use an ATM if you request cash and they don't have tellers anymore.

So really, the only thing a bank run will cause is line-ups at the ATMS and stress for those with savings accounts.

That queue is a cue to really go with the trend or the future of money. I may be a newbie with this industry but Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrencies really has future to create massive change especially in finance, economy, government etc.,

Sorry, there are two queues actually.  I didn't provide enough separation.
The left is in India and on the right, Greece.

Well for those who don't want to be hassle on that same queues, that's the cue to go with bitcoin instead.

I know there is but queues like that to get fiat, nahhh! I want to capitulate or walk-out at the very moment if I will saw it.
6348  Economy / Reputation / Re: 5 suspects Full members accounts on the same signature, Same Owner? on: January 03, 2019, 03:46:10 PM

The probability is not that high and many possible alts are enrolling in that campaign.

For example user Antony97 been merited by user mediation who is a "Favorite profiles to send sMerit to" of user elcezireex

You can see a post of Antony97 in that thread, next page of it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4948249.msg46341762#msg46341762

I guess they really do teamwork for abusing alts in a campaign as well as abusing and generating around the sMerits.

It might not be a hard proof since merit is not moderated but I guess we can find some track base on that.

How about same team managing their bounties? How about they don't have a connection at all but one project plagiarized the content of their bounty terms, rewards, etc.,?

To be safe don't engage for both since after all these forks are shady. I'll be more to support the Constantinople because devs has updates.
6351  Other / Serious discussion / Re: My last year greatest mistake, what was yours? on: January 03, 2019, 05:11:01 AM
Regrets is when I haven't pay attention to the articles I read on selling at ATH. Been seen much statements about a massive bear market comes along but been bullish-head thinking it will break the $20k mark.

The goal is be more of a trader than being a hodler, fiat is far from being dead at the moment. Own opinion though.  Grin

Happy New Year!
6352  Other / Meta / Re: What are the forum Administrators doing about Scam projects (Bounties) on: November 12, 2018, 09:16:06 AM
The moderators can't identify all scams and there is no such identifiers to detect it, it's all on common sense to identify it before you trust your money. And I guess that's not the obligation of the administration to identify scam projects, if you'll go through Scam Accusations section you'll find there that there are numerous individuals who try to help other individuals on this so called shitcoins.

You know better enough of it because you're my Senior in this forum, understand that project fails, most ICOs are meant to fail unless you found on the 1% of it as a minimum that are good ones. Know the risk then at the end if it has been successful, harvest it.
6353  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty/ Airdop so Low you cant trade it, Gas is even more expensive on: November 11, 2018, 04:20:20 AM
Hoping that they will be like Blockchain who'll airdrop XLM's to all who uses their wallets. That's the real airdrop I guess, too many airdrops right now especially in this forum and yet if it will be on the market and the price has been determined it almost goes for nothing.

Better to give more budget allocation on airdrops and to all users just join airdrop that's worth the effort.

Interesting topic, hoping some reputable and known member will will give their thoughts about it. Maybe theymos might give some feedbacks as an early individuals in this forum.
6356  Other / Meta / Re: „Self made” Full member thanks to Theymos? Not exactly, but in a sense… on: November 10, 2018, 01:42:02 AM

Guys I just don’t know what to say…

As I wrote the main purpose of this post was to thank many people who entouraged me, but being fully honest I also hope to get few congrats… But this whole feedback I was given… words like "an example", "an inspiration"… I feel really ashamed ;-)

I won’t lie – I am proud a bit of myself and getting next rank gave me really a lot of satisfaction but you know what is funny: it was yesterday… and today... I really don’t think much about merits I got and posts I wrote – I look forward next challenge and you probably know what it could be…

Once again thanks guys for all your feedback and rewarding me so lavishly again.

And one more word for all low ranked users – I wrote this in my very first thread (Short story about being merited….) in September and I still think the same way:

You deserve it brother, don't be ashamed but at least be proud and let that flattery sinks in, keep feet off ground as always.

Yeah, don't think about merit let it loose rather do what you wanted merit will be on way without thinking of it.
6357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guarantee of an ICO on: November 10, 2018, 12:29:32 AM
Don't safe to assume that there is a guaranteed site that will tell that it's a reliable ICO. Even a too good to be true project ended of scamming investors once gained enough money. Remember Oyster PRL.

Don't trust any ICOs, leverage and put it into account to spread all your investments.
6358  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: PAANO MALAMAN KONG SCAM O HINDI ANG ISANG PROYEKTO SA MUNDO NG CRYPTO CURRENCY? on: November 09, 2018, 06:26:51 AM
I guess even ganyan gawin mo hindi mo pa rin alam ang isang proyekto kung scam o hindi. There's a saying na "you'll don't know the risk unless you walk into it".

Remember Oyster PRL crypto project even the main founder has scam the investors.

Why not they just made a consensus na pahintulutan ang lahat ng transaksyon mapa crypto man or in fiat money. Just voicing out an opinion and open for discussion, criticisms, reactions, volcanic eruptions etc., you name it.
6360  Other / Meta / Re: „Self made” Full member thanks to Theymos? Not exactly, but in a sense… on: November 09, 2018, 06:06:41 AM
We will caught up, but for me I don't bother the most merit or not life goes on. Merit system really do work and those who are complaining are the spammers or just caring to earn more on signature campaigns or else the worst is just to spam and not contributing works in the forum.
