6341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which countries bitcoin already legalize? on: November 19, 2017, 02:24:42 PM
There is a difference between not having a specific country issuing a law against bitcoin and recognizing bitcoin as currency or mean of payment. If we speak about the first, then we have a lot of countries, as for the second, I'm only aware of Japan.
6342  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitsquare exchange on: November 18, 2017, 02:58:10 PM
Does anybody trade on this exchange? Always hear names like Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex. But came across this and thinking of using it. What do you think of this exchange? It's decentralized and private, so why people don't trade there?

The exchange is legit as you are in full control of everything however just like OpenBazaar, people find them inconvenient as there is a need of running the software 24/7 If you want to come across trades, there is also a lack of users and a chance that your request won't get fulfilled etc. Hopefully, with Atomic swap coming, people will start leaving centralized exchanges as they are no good when it comes to user privacy.
6343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing transaction fee.Any solution? on: November 18, 2017, 11:55:47 AM
Btc transaction fee is escalating. If it keeps rising, btc will no longer be prefered for payments. Is there any solution to keep fee below some level?

That's the whole point from making SegWit. At the moment, only 10% of the current transactions use SegWit. If more wallets and services start using accepting (Bitfinex next week, Blockchain.info in 2018 Q1) we will start noticing a huge price decrease. Besides, the current fees are high IMO because of a current spam attack made by BCH supporters.
6344  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any service to pay GoDaddy with Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2017, 06:01:14 AM
The promotions and coupons they offer are usually meant for credit cards users only so even If you manage to pay using bitcoin (or any other payment method), you won't get any discounts, just use Namecheap as suggested above.
6345  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: November 17, 2017, 05:54:12 PM
I've got all my ethereum and bitcoin stolen from Exodus.

Don't know what to do, never shared my 12 words phrase to anyone or anything like that

Stolen how? all funds were sent to an address? can you share it? It's possible that your computer was infected with malware which is enough to get your password (keylogging) and your wallet files. If that was the case, no desktop wallet could protect you against this.
6346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it more profitable to Hold BTC or buying a lower price and selling at higher? on: November 17, 2017, 04:21:24 PM
I'd say holding is much more profitable for a long term strategy but that shouldn't be the only thing you do, you should accumulate more, like buying on monthly basis or whenever you can.
6347  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is it good to use hitbtc on: November 17, 2017, 01:53:55 PM
I have used it for some time and I have no complains. I faced a deposit issue once but It was quickly fixed after contacting support.
6348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Search topic by date on: November 17, 2017, 01:29:45 PM
The feature is available and working fine, I just tried it. At the bottom of the search page, there is 'Search order', you could choose between the two last options:

6349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the difference in Bitcoin exchange rates on: November 17, 2017, 11:40:30 AM
The price is based on supply and demand. If for example someone wants to buy bitcoin and he can only find one service where his preferred payment method is accepted then he will be willing to pay an extra amount, you can also take Zimbabwe for example, bitcoin price reached $13k simply because people are no longer trusting on the monetary system, country is running out of cash and the economy is shrinking.
6350  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Lost bitcoins in Mycelium wallet with 12 words and backup??? on: November 17, 2017, 11:04:59 AM
Have you tried to recover your wallet inside another BIP39 compatible software? You can try Electrum in that case (make sure to check the BIP39 option).
6351  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Difference between SegWit addresses on: November 17, 2017, 09:40:28 AM
For those interested in creating segwit outputs, I just posted a ruby script for building a P2SH-P2WPKH address and spending from it, as a gist:
https://gist.github.com/pierrenoizat/f082d62d49e49f81978b97ad5900789a

I'm not really familiar with Ruby but is it that easy to modify this to get the ability to generate SegWit vanity addresses?
6352  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: November 17, 2017, 08:19:47 AM
Please can someone confirms if this ETH address belongs to HitBTC  0x4c34ae54dc716808e94af3d1d638b8ea3a23fa9b

I believe that on exchanges, while requesting a withdrawal, the funds are not being moved from your original deposit address so yes, this should be HitBtc address as someone had his funds moved from it a few days ago: https://forum.hitbtc.com/discussion/1391/i-attempted-to-widthdraw-from-eth-to-deposit-to-orme-but-new-funds-arent-showing
6353  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: November 17, 2017, 07:43:06 AM
i have got more than 120 posts and activity is not rising , how long should i wait to see activity rising on my bitcoin profile?

It's because you gain a maximum of 14 activity per two weeks period. We need to enter another activity update period in order to get another 14.
6354  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Don't send sepa transfer from bitcoin based platform like bitpanda to payoneer. on: November 16, 2017, 06:31:49 PM
If they don't refund you, it means that they will take the money for themselves just because the transaction failed? It make no sense. They are a reputable company, they are not going to do that. I suggest trying to contact them through the ANN thread for a faster answer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878725.40

6356  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Paper wallet / Cold Wallet on: November 16, 2017, 03:42:36 PM
Since the previous answers were not accurate...A cold storage wallet is a wallet which is offline (not connected to the internet) so a paper wallet is considered as cold storage too and It's simply your address and private keys printed in paper. Yes, It's not recommended to store your bitcoins at exchange as they can be hacked, or scam exit etc. If you use your coins on a daily basis, then use Electrum, If you have large amounts then a hardware wallet or paper wallet If you want to forget about them and not use them for a few years.
6357  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Master & VISA cards which work in Canada & USA? on: November 16, 2017, 03:22:24 PM
The cards themselves should work anywhere where Visa or MasterCard are accepted as for shipping/ordering the cards, then BitPay accept U.S citizens.

6360  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The No.1 Bitcoin Mixer! on: November 16, 2017, 02:32:18 PM
Why 2015 year???

It looks like the domain name was created on 2015 however, I can't find anything about this service. It's clearly not the best mixer as no one heard of before and definitely not something to trust blindly.
