641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New nist5 coin on: October 06, 2017, 06:08:49 PM
Does anyone have a good idea for coin that would use nist5 algorithm? I think we need new coin to mine with good algorithm.  Smiley

Do you know about Solaris Coin? Talk Coin? Project Wyvern? I have an idea about these coins. Know any more coins that work on nist5 !?

Hey Buddy,

Thank you for replying on my thread.
1. How can I undervolt it to 80 without losing hash rate? this is my current mod
https://imgur.com/a/uOeVi

2. This is my current bat file, where should add the -tt command to run in 30% constant value in bat file?
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x7d3Df6A7654339871411b9704921F4d18C8Cdd0F.cash -epsw x -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal x -dpsw x -allpools 1

with DCR + ETH

I currently have 147W when i do both dcr and eth.

No need to add -allpools 1. Remove it! Moreover, I've replied to your PM for the further details.

When I compare the tempurate, GPU0 have 56C and the other 2 have 65/63C do you know why?

GPU0 may have a better airflow to it compared to GPU1 & GPU2. No worries, they are still in good temps! As soon as you start undervolting them, your temps will go down too.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Ethereum on rx 580 on: October 05, 2017, 08:15:37 AM
Hello,

I'm currently mining ethereum on 3x MSI RX580 8GB xgaming. I've been mining for about 2-3 weeks I want to know if Im on the right way - Am I on a good pool according the picture? Do I have good Temp/MH/s on each card or can I still mod it to get higher. Are my settings on techpowerup good?
Please come with feedback if you feel that i should maybe go for another altcoin or if I should try to modd my GPU's more

Thanks!

That's a really good hash rate output and stability is on point. Temps are very comfortable.
Some improvement proposals:
1) Try undervolting core/mem. From your GPU-z screenshot, I'm seeing 117W power draw. That's too much. I'm running my Sapphire's with 80W TDP and getting the same results.
2) Set your fan speed to a constant value such as 30% or whatever you see fit by using "-tt" command in your bat file. A constant fan speed is better than a variable fan speed.
3) Give dual mining a try, with these temps you can easily push them to dual mine and generate 1.25x coins. Give SIA or DCR a consideration for the second coin.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig with smaller Hashreate recieve more shares on flypool. on: October 04, 2017, 01:44:48 PM
Hello, all.
Can somebody explain to me how it could be.
rig 1 (my rig) - http://zcash.flypool.org/miners/t1R5MDRcwGKqLr9n7v4o1s8TrvjQsVeWkyc
rig 2 (1080ti03-win10) - http://zcash.flypool.org/miners/t1USjC69sPnd9v8PekA6VUaL3LofSmxS5sF

The same pool. Compare his rig with the name - 1080ti03-win10 and my one.

Could somebody explain why his rig receive more shares?

Thank you in advance.

There is a parameter known as share difficulty. The pool sets the share difficulty.
For example,
Your rig1: 1x 1080ti (750sols)
My rig2: 1x 1080ti (750sols)

Let's say the share difficulty for your rig from the pool is set to "2x", so you'll be getting "y" amount of accepted shares. The reward for one share at "2x" difficulty be "2z".
The share difficulty for my rig from the pool is set to "x", I'll be getting "2y" amount of accepted shares. The reward for one share at "x" difficulty be "z".

So, no matter if your shares are low and mine are higher, we will probably mine the same amount of coin as it all depends on share difficulty and accepted share proportionally.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8x GPUs hashes less if put all together on: October 04, 2017, 01:32:41 PM
I had a similar experience myself, I'm using 6x Sapphire RX580 8GB Pulse. In the beginning, I tweaked each and every card solo to get it's best settings and wrote down all the tweaks that I've done on a piece of paper.
After completing all 6x GPUs, I ran them together at their best settings and I saw 2-5% drop in their hashrate from their best solo settings. It's been months now and I've never found any solution to this.
From that point of time, I never went tweaking GPUs solo. So, I want to say you're not alone!
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Notf when miner is offline on: October 03, 2017, 05:49:27 PM
Hello Smiley
Where i can found app (ios) where i can see h/s, temp, fanspeed and have notf (on app) when miner (rig) is offline? Must to work when i go without internet connect where rig is connected.

Sorry for my bad English.

Try this monitoring app, LINK.
I've been using this since it came out and the mobile applications are on point.
The dev is great and pushes updates frequently.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX570 / 470 / 580 / 570 with blockchain drivers on: October 03, 2017, 05:36:18 PM
So running AMD blockchain drivers, not all but some units will go from 170 hash on eth to 80 or so and i have to restart miner to get them going back to full.  no errors nothing just a drop in hash till reset.

Windows 10
SSD
Claymore 10

I have seen reports of this happening but never really saw a resolution for it.

I have not updated windows to most current yet but that is what I was going to try this week.  I'm sure the driver is crap but not sure if old windows is causing it.  Thoughts?

I'm running an identical build as you! I've never faced such issues. Do try updating to latest version of Windows, setting core/mem voltage and core/mem clock speeds in claymore bat file itself and not using overclocking utility like Msi AB.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LTC Solo or Pool ? on: October 02, 2017, 11:20:44 AM
Hi, i'm wondering which mining method is more profitable for LTC difficulty today ?
i have read something about 14 days for solo to find a block is that for first block only or for every block ?
i'm at 3000 MH/s so which's better for that hashrate speed solo or pool ?

It's average 14 days solo for every block.
I will recommend you to go with pool mining as it'll provide consistent payments every day.

Let me explain a bit about solo mining.
When you're solo mining, the collective hashing power of your rigs is working to find a block in litecoin network competing with all other miners.
It can be a day if you're extremely lucky, probably 14 days if everything runs smoothly or probably more than that.
You never know because it all depends on luck for finding a block.
That's why average fourteen days.

If for any chance your rigs malfunctions and you need to restart them, or internet doesn't work for an hour or any downtime reason.
All the hash done will be of no use!

That's why it's better to stick with pool mining, receive consistent rewards.

Now, if you want to do solo mining, in any scenario, you should have enough hashrate to find a block in an average a day.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why ATIWinflash can't consistently save bios to file, nor flash bios to GPU? on: October 02, 2017, 11:09:02 AM
I just checked my ATIWinFlash version and it's at 2.2.0.0, I've never faced any issues that you have stated above in Windows 10 Pro x64. I recommend you try this version and see if it works for you with no issues.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine new coin: VoteCoin - equihash, very low difficulty now on: October 02, 2017, 11:02:23 AM
What i have to do from here because nothing happen from 1h ?
http://i66.tinypic.com/14wgdpk.jpg

Ctrl+C --> Stop the node --> Run the node again.
After running the node, you can generate a new address and start mining.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoin would be most profitable for my system? on: October 02, 2017, 10:59:58 AM
Hey guys.

I'm trying to start mining again, I been away since 2013 and was mining FTC and LTC via cgMiner, BFGMiner and all that back in the day.

I have 2 AMD Radeon R9 200/HD 7900 Series GPU's and a AMD FX 6100 6-Core Processor.

What would be the most profitable for me to mine?
Also I don't really pay for the electricity.

I was leaning toward Ethereum but the difficulty seems to be close to obsolete and I've had a lot of trouble even setting it up.

Any help is appreciated  Smiley

Profitable is a relative term, the coin which is profitable today might not be anymore by tomorrow.
Anyway, ZCoin seems really good as of now to mine with GPU and obviously XMR for CPU.

With the ZCoin desktop wallet, do I need to wait for it to sync before I can start mining? And are there any other options for me to use as a wallet other than the desktop one?

Thanks man, kinda noobish shit but I just need a kick start.

No need to wait for sync to complete, just generate an address and start mining. Once you receive coins to your address, then you have to wait for it to completely sync to show available balance.

Are there some calculator for mining this coin?

calculator in this post
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2167614.msg22351406#msg22351406

change diff only, you can find diff of last blocks in block explorer
http://explorer.votecoin.site/

What is the current difficulty?? where can i find the updated one?

Here you go, information about current difficulty is provided on this page: http://pool.votecoin.site/stats

Hi guys,

any news about an easy  way  to  geht the higher mhs with volt control?

Yes, try Claymore v10.0 miner. Use -mvddc to set memory voltage and -cvddc to set core voltage.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm looking for the smallest and most compact mining rig for BTC or Altcoins? on: September 30, 2017, 12:46:16 PM
ASIC Miners are definitely compact, more efficient, and profitable than GPU miners but the loud noise, limited availability can be a concern. Go with ASIC if you're starting out! (Antminers might be a good place to start and they are available as of now.)
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Algo list on: September 30, 2017, 12:32:10 PM
I don't know if there is any list available for this or not, but I can list down a few:
According to my experience, ethash is memory bound algorithm while equihash is core bound algorithm. I found the majority of algorithms like skunkhash, blake2s, groestl, lybr to be core bound too.
The best idea is to test an algorithm by yourself to check if it's core or memory bound or both.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: September 28, 2017, 07:32:58 PM
you put this command in the .bat? --api 127.0.0.1:42000?

Oh Yes. I've tried it. I've searched many posts and everywhere it's suggested to use some or the other IP config in API but still the API shows Disabled status when I run the miner. Any other solutions?
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: September 27, 2017, 03:48:27 PM
I've tried any and every IP configuration to get API work but all the time, it is displaying API: DISABLED after running miner. Any solutions to solve this?
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Powersave BIOS for Sapphire RX470 Nitro (non+) 4gb? on: September 27, 2017, 01:46:35 PM
Thank you for your answer Smiley
But ive got 9 gpus. It isnt possible to use 9 gpus in windows. Is there a version for linux? Is it possible now in claymore for linux (like ubuntu) to use -cvddc, -mvccd, -clock and -mclock ?
Is the last Blockchain AMD Driver out for Linux?

I don't think the Blockchain driver is out for Linux, but tbh I've seen many miners migrating to Windows just because of this issue.
