Hi there,

I'd like to test this and put a review on your thread. I'm wondering what details you require? thanks
642  Other / Politics & Society / Bitcoin Wars?!?! on: May 22, 2013, 01:21:06 PM
While I have little understanding of the technical side behind the maths I'm interested in how Bitcoin can continue to dominate in the Cryptocoin market. If you are technically minded, please reply if you have an opinion about my question. Is it possible for the Bitcoin network to coordinate a 51% attack against Bytecoin?

Regardless of the ethical considerations I'd just like to know if it's possible. Also other coins, LTC, PPC etc... maybe some of the smaller ones would be more vulnerable, FTC, CNC and so on.

Any ideas on how it could or could not be done would be welcomed. (I'm not really interested in the morality, just the reality)
643  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Let the Machines do the Work (The end of Slavery) on: May 22, 2013, 12:35:23 PM
Finshaggy, your original post was brilliant and well thought out... May I suggest you let others argue for you instead of arguing for yourself. I don't know how it would have gone but it would have looked better than you arguing for yourself. Your original argument seems incredibly complete to me.

All the arguments since then seem to have missed the point that the machines are currently printing out something that can be exchanged for $Fiat currency... what they still think is real money... and they still don't get that machines are producing something more valuable than the energy being used?!?!

Stop trying to convince stupid people, wait to discuss with those who are excited to see a like minded idealist. I love your ideas

My message to those who would see things differently, Don't tell me about your arguments. I'm not interested in discussing why good ideas WON'T work... that's your choice.
644  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Adam Kokesh's Bitcoin Legal Defense Fund Address on: May 22, 2013, 10:53:10 AM
I hope people will at least investigate the accusations that Adam Kokesh is simply an actor who is encouraging civil war... I find DallasGoldbug and wellaware1.com rings a lot truer than Alex Jones

ok, I've PM'd for round 5... match me up... though I don't expect it's possible to catch up from here... unless it's weighted somehow
646  Economy / Goods / Re: Nootropics for Bitcoins Review. on: May 21, 2013, 04:37:31 AM

647  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Buy Nootropics with BTC > BTC Nootropics on: May 21, 2013, 04:34:58 AM
Hi I'm new to the idea of Nootropics and there seem to be a variety of different ones on your site. Could you recommend something for the novice beginner? Should I look at taking a few different ones or stick with one? I'd be happy to provide some feedback in exchange for some samples if you have anything I can test drive.

the site looks good Smiley
648  Other / Beginners & Help / Poll of most popular mobile wallet sollution on: May 20, 2013, 01:14:34 AM
Hi All,

Thanks for taking an interest in my Poll. I'm trying to get a handle on the best phone to use as a mobile wallet solution. I currently have an iPhone 3gs but I have not experience with anything else so I will show my lack of experience by voting for the option that shows this.

I'm asking for users who DO have experience with more than one of these phones to vote for the preference. If you do NOT have experience with at least 2 of the phones in the poll then please do not vote for a specific phone. You can still be included in the poll to see how many of us have only experience one phone, plus you will not be able to see the results until after you have voted.

You can change you vote should your experience change.

Anyone is welcome to comment and any feedback on the wording of the poll or suggestions for a new poll in the main boards would be great.

Cheers
649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: May 19, 2013, 12:02:34 PM
Hi,

I've been a Bitcoin enthusiast for about 18 months and I am working on creating content for several websites right now including bitcoinlanguage.com and would like the opportunity to ask for feedback from the broader Bitcoin community.

I've made several posts in here but it seems that it only counts my logged time as eyeball time and I'm busy researching other material. I have been reading about Nootropics and would like to ask questions in the main thread about them also.

I guess waiting would not be hard since there is a lot to read... but since I found this thread and I'm not a newb to BTC is would be great if you could whitelist me... cheers

PS. Terms not for newbs. Silk Road, Atlantis, tor, Satoshi (a unit of BTC) bitcoinfees.com, blockchain, AltCoins, LTC, PPC, FTC, NMC, NVC
twitter cryptorally-ru

may everybody win
650  Other / Beginners & Help / What is the best site to buy Nootropics with BTC on: May 19, 2013, 09:29:26 AM
I'm trying to get some feedback from people who actually have some experience using Nootropics and can recommend a good site. I would prefer to support a site that is specifically accepting BTC but would consider someone that takes BTC and Fiat.

I need to find someone that will ship to Australia.

Any suggestions or feedback?

I'm bored of Newb status... I want to roam free...like a wild... bunny... replicating... endlessly because I'm bord
653  Other / Beginners & Help / Do I have to start a this thread to no longer be a newb? on: May 18, 2013, 10:46:57 AM
How long does it take? I'm sure I've made enough posts by now... started some threads... do I have to start a thread pointing out I'm still a newb to be taken to the next level?

654  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 18, 2013, 10:29:45 AM
I ordered one but didn't send the BTC in time so it timed out. When I went back to find another address it would not give me the old one, or create a new one.

It seems that this did not convince me it was a scam because I just thought I'd order another one, when I did it would not include the postage as it seemed to think I'd already paid... very strange.

So I emailed them,

"I really want to order one of these" I was happy to wait three or six months if the units would do as promised... sadly it seems I might wait that long for a reply to my email.

a week now... still waiting
655  Other / Beginners & Help / Statistics on posts, threads started and hours logged on: May 18, 2013, 09:30:07 AM
Is it possible that a page could be created where we could keep track of how many replies, posts and hours logged we have? It might be interesting for some, and depressing for others... but is it achievable and would anyone else have an interest in being able to track those things?
656  Other / Beginners & Help / Wow, Just Wow on: May 18, 2013, 08:32:53 AM
I saw this thread and just thought... ok I wonder what made them go wow... I clicked the link "as you do" and read a tweet... then I reread it... then I read what it was in reply to... then I said to myself "wow"!!!

Maybe Americans are really starting to see it? Evil slowly undressing itself before their eyes.

I'm sure these kinds of things have been said for years in corridors and at dinner tables, and no one ever acknowledge evil, everyone pretending that it wasn't there. Humans pretending goodness is unopposed while the guns are pointed at peers far away, and next door, are actually brainless. (Stacy Herbert is right, most of the decapitations have already been completed with self inflicted prescription drugs)

That's what they want, they don't want a peaceful transition to Bitcoin, They don't want to acknowledge Bitcoin and Politics are colliding. They are the Fud.. and they want you to be afraid

Warning!!! Maths/BTC is evil!!! It's from the devil... here are some other myths

WARNING BTC is a Ponzi scheme… If you thought that you may have visited btcmatrix.com or been involved in many of the other Ponzi Schemes found in the Bitcoin space. You may think they’re illegal, but so is buying Marijuana on Silk Road which just gives the currency “street cred”  Ponzi schemes are not dangerous, they are gambling… gambling with Bitcoin does not affect the security of the Bitcoin network.

WARNING BTC was created by the CIA – The rumour may have started when Gavin Anderson was invited to a CIA conference… (I’ve heard whispers that he may be a CIA plant)
http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/elements/2013/04/the-future-of-bitcoin.html
Someone confirmed the CIA had taken an interest in BTC

So what's the point? Be Scared, or be inspired... Bitcoin rising for me baby Wink

I found this link really useful.

Also I don't know if it will help but I found a really useful guide to the fee structure

http://bitcoinfees.com/

BTC allows to live on the scraps... there is a real secret to Bitcoin that will make it both worthless and valuable at the same time... Ask the questions and you will find what you are looking for
659  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: May 18, 2013, 04:00:38 AM
I love looking at Alt-Coins. I think they are making fantastic innovations an improvements along the way. I think a 1:1 BTC clone would be worth something, and will not destroy the value of BTC. I think that if Aliens arrive they may well have there own form of digital currency and if it where a 1:1 clone of BTC is would not make BTC less valuable but would rather add to the overall economy.

Let me say also that I don't think these digital currencies are rapidly rising in value, I think they have some value and as it's being recognised while the value of the fiat (read fake) money is dropping like a stone.

Of course I don't want to argue with people who have a different opinion unless they want to provide verifiable evidence, but so far the evidence I've seen is that a large number of alt coins are being traded by people who believe they have value, if the price fluctuates wildly they will be truly following in the footsteps of BTC

Rumours on CNN that Zimbabwe have adopted Bitcoin as there National currency... They could create an AltCoin... but maybe BTC is still the coin of choice Wink
