I haven't heard much about the Bitcoin ETF lately.  There seemed to be some consensus that it would open by the end of 2014.  Maybe an "entity" of some sort knows something the rest of us do not know yet?  This would explain a lot about why the price is being desperately pushed down.

i think they keep filling it and it keeps getting rejected, someone posted a link the other day and you could see them filling it every few months.

not sure if legit or even how these things work tho...

maybe regulators are waiting for the "bottom" to open it up to the public?

idk.

SEC rejects application for Winklevoss COIN ETF due to Bitcoin's apparent slide toward death.  More news at 11.

/sarcasm

Now that would depress me!  But things were looking good, especially with the hiring of  Kathleen Moriarty, a lawyer that has had great success in getting ETFs pushed through, even ones that are not as valid as a Bitcoin ETF would be.  Just my thoughts.  Patience people.

You are expecting too much of the news and some minor events (spotted multiple times). This market is not run by the news.

True.  News hasn't seemed to effect the price much lately, and perhaps you are right that my expectations are unrealistic.

But I think that the ETF will be a little different in that it opens a door for a different kind of investor to get involved with BTC and there are millions of dollars that could very easily be thrown into BTC in a matter of days or weeks.

Why you think so? Others said so about ETF right... ? Look at my post about ETF few days ago. ETF could bring higher prices, but not because of ETC, but because of usage, performance and traction of BTC. ETF can also bring even lower prices if Bitcoin is not doing well (all these millions can short it).

desperately?

what is wrong with you guys/chiks? this is some healthy selling.

maybe you all need one big fat red daily 100 k dildo to understand what is going on. but we will be sub 300 by then.

If huge manipulation wouldn't be visible from far far away I would agree with you. But you probably never watched the market trading on multiple exchanges, orderbook positioning and so...
644  Economy / Speculation / Be sincere, please... on: October 03, 2014, 09:33:48 PM
We know Bitcoin is a risky investment. So, anything can happen. Please answer when would you feel more anger.

Same is also true if you are in cash now and want to buy (so option one is if you not buy now and btc goes to $700+ or option two is if you buy and btc goes to sub $100)

Please answer the question. Thx.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: WARNING: This bubble canNOT continue. Brace yourselves for a correction. on: October 03, 2014, 09:12:46 PM
The price will go the way the least people expect, sooner or later. Only that way they pumper can profit the most.

Value stays the same.  Smiley
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 09:08:14 PM
This here..... there should be a break above $400 before continuing much lower (At most $5 more down, I'd imagine)

EDIT: 1 million dollar bidwall at $301

Similary this kind of wall was also on 360 when we were around 400 and you know what, it was fake like more than 50% of orderbooks.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 08:51:21 PM
I would be much more nervous if I wouldn't know someone is doing this intentionaly.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2014, 12:14:48 AM

Great video.

I also think Bitcoin is not for everbody, it can only meet the needs of 90% of population.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy world. Bitcoin down, Doge Up on: October 01, 2014, 12:19:06 PM
DOGE mining is merging with LTC that's the cause of the rise I believe. I was expecting this anyway and bought some at 30 satoshis. Not much, but it feels good.

Pumper will use any reason looking good at first sight to convince others he is not pumping and that the market wants coins and higher prices.  Wink
It happened once, not sure why wouldn't happen the second time. Jamaica... DOGE uuuppp...
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy world. Bitcoin down, Doge Up on: October 01, 2014, 12:09:28 PM
One pumper is pumping (DOGE) and the other one is dumping (BTC).

Ask yourself one question, why is finex bid side so populated with more than 12k coins down to $300. They want these coins cheaply with margin calls.

well, I can tell you that someone is placing those asks on stamp like a pro, and bitfinex guys have a history of dumping those margin calls through some advance non automatic procedures, like placing them as asks when and where they find it suitable.

maybe they are "evil manuplators"?

Dashboard

------------

Exchange 1 | Exchange 2 | Exchange 3 | Exchange 4

And for each of them buttons: Dump (size 1, 2 or 3), set random asks type 1, set random asks type 2, set random bids 1, set random bids 2, set wall x on y...

And then just few clicks and play the casino and the market goes the way you want.

653  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: September 29, 2014, 10:58:17 PM
Dumps started to begin more frequent so we would notice that and also dump outselfs. The walls are of course from the dumper.

Am... at what price mining won't be profitable anymore?   Roll Eyes

The price won't be here or lower for very long. So miners who sell, bad for them.

Was checking GABI page and found this  Cool

All those buyers! Incredible! Look at that rocket go!!!

These guys are from finance sector not IT like Second Market who was buying the bubble, they know the things and how to make them rich and not "you".

When Gox was here THEY and their walls was clearly identifiable, now its very much covert.. as if their Boss aka Karpeles has retired  Cheesy

Their tool is China and there they can do whatever they want, control whole market and at the end just dump at stamp to confirm its not just about china. Story ended, market goes their way. Walls still work as that way they manipulate stamp very good, but this is just to make price stable and fixed below the wanted price.
659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2014, 09:13:58 PM
Honestly this is the question we don't know for sure the answer, but we know that they are not selling off (going out of BTC) - it would be much more simple and much more profitable to sell it on OTC - even 50k+ coins. But much more believable is, that they want to accumulate cheap (maybe even through cheap OTC bulk buys) and rinse & repeat the bubble. Being end goal BTC at 0 is low probability, cause they were probably early in the game and understand the things well, this would be possible only in the case if someone is doing this who doesn't want BTC to succeed (banks, gvt...). Or if these coins are stolen and they really have xxx.000 BTC (but probably exchanges would get them). But all this killing BTC in imo less than 10% chance.

And remember - China is not the cause of all this rise and fall, its the tool.

My theory is that they want to push to 350, but not much lower. Lower towards $200s will encourage longer-term holders to sell, and of course the whales need them as support on the way up. Their dumps are getting smaller as the price gets lower. They were rejected @ 375 and will have to spend considerably more coin to knock the price down.

They don't dump anymore, they just dump in mostly their own walls and when price is high (paypal push). They control the sentiment and orderbooks and price action so others sell for them. Do you think they care if price is $100 for two days so they can get XX.000 BTC and they push it to 500 in the next two days. Its all about their plan. To bad we don't know what it is.

But there is the question of loss of confidence. If they want this cash cow to remain profitable in the coming years (and they absolutely do want this) then a dip into $100s isn't exactly good for PR. Besides they'll have to risk a lot more to get there.

I'm not saying 100 is the plan, but that if they planned this, it is simple to do. When price will be at 1000 few months later, x00 won't matter anymore, just the next moon and fresh money to be milked again. But I agree that such low price is not good for PR.
