Yeah Well there seems to be a third mining pool accumulating lots of hashes. As of now, the network hashrate is around 600, while the pools only mine 200 and 30mh/s. Hardly any blocks found..

Maybe a new pool we don't know of or a solominer with 370+ MHs  Shocked

solo mining... with what power is it useful/better than pool? 7MH/s 14Mh/s 21Mh/s or more?

is there any miningcalculator yet for ESP? I didn't find any yet..

Hey there,

I'd like to ask, how i can store my verges safe offline apart from the paper wallet. Is there a way to store them on a hardware device?

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Phanti

paper wallet is probably the safest option for any crypto. we are working on a hardware wallet, and will be adding it to our roadmap within the next 2 weeks

speaking of, we are going to be taking down our clearnet web wallet, because we prefer users own their coins, instead of leaving them on the site.

we will leave the tor and i2p web wallets up however.

we'll wait until the end of july to take the clearnet site down.

Looking forward to the hardware wallet, makes me curious.

Agree on paperwallet, safest for any coin. Make it super-safe with a cryptosteel , this way your paperwallet will survive fire, water or any other disaster  Grin

anyone mining with a NVIDIA GPU on Windows 64bit? what card do you use and what hashrate does it mine on? Thanks.

I was thinking about buying a ASUS Dual-gtx1060 – 6 GB , what hashrate should that get? 400 to 500kh/s ?

Bittrex is slow, they can't handle the VIA traffic I guess  Grin

Send some VIA to Bittrex, wallets shows 13 confs, on bittrex deposite hasn't even shown up... 18 minutes and waiting...

https://projectify.me/witness/index.php

hello everyone fairly new to crypo but see the potential here. In for 7mil xvg! Now where is the best place to keep it? Web or Desktop? How safe is the Web Wallet? Or shoud I go paper. Thanks.

Desktop (with a backup elsewhere of the wallet.dat ofc)  or paper (i dont know paper, nor its benefits/pitfalls) but it would still be 110% better than any webbased setup.

Thanks for your quickreply. So I only need to make a backup of wallet.dat like on drop box and I will be fine? If I add more coins to the wallet, do I need to back up the wallet.dat again with the new coins added?

saving wallet.dat in a cloud-service I would not do, if that service gets hacked or you can't access it your wallet.dat is gone. Best safe wallet.dat on an usb stick, burn on cd and keep it in a safe place, best to have 2 or more backups.

You can add funds/coins to the address any time,no need to make an extra backup, all is stored in the blockchain. You can always check your balance and transaction in an online blockchain explorer, simply enter your (wallet)address there.

Hello everyone, cant download last windows x64 version 0.10.11 from viacoin.org , dead link Sad

https://github.com/viacoin/viacoin/releases/download/v0.10.11/viacoin-0.10.11-win32.exe

Sorry I'm working and moved stuff arround on github.
Here's the link
https://github.com/viacoin/viacoin-obsolete/releases

I installed 0.13.2.1 synced 995882 blocks in 9 hours. Would it speed up if I add these nodes to the viacoin.conf ?

158.69.248.93
92.222.231.168
185.128.41.158
176.31.13.198
45.32.182.20
74.118.157.117
141.6.12.14

I assume the .conf is in the same folder as the wallet.dat ?

657  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (GOLD COIN AUCTION LIVE) 🌟 on: May 25, 2017, 06:10:00 PM
You make a coin, you know design- and productioncosts and you can't determine a price to sell the coin for Huh I think this is weird... Like Porsche designs and makes a new 911 and has auction like 5 cars first before they know selling price.

I don't think it is a good comparison. We've never sold gold coins and it is important for us to price the coins correctly. It takes us at least 6 weeks to produce more even if we decide to do that, and significant investments for us since they are made of gold.

We had a good plan for this until people paid 4500 € for the special auction coins. Our plan went out of the window then. We don't want to price them too low, someone will simply buy all of them in 1 minute. Then we'll sell nothing for at least 1.5 months. In fact we've had offers to buy all of them.

Auctions are a good way to figure out the price a little better, and then we'll list them at Denarium.com when we feel a bit more comfortable.

You are a business, right? so if you make like X coins and sell them with X% profit why would you don't care if they are all sold in 1 day or 1 week ? even if 1 person buys all, so what?

All your coins are sold in Euro on your website so it shouldn't matter what the price of BTC is even in comparison what people pay here at an auction in BTC
658  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (GOLD COIN AUCTION LIVE) 🌟 on: May 25, 2017, 05:57:59 PM
Okay, so we had a change of plan. The initial price levels and interest for our new gold parity coin has surprised our whole team and we are not able to price the coins with sufficient confidence that the pricing is right. That is why we are auctioning more coins from the first batch until we have sufficient price discovery. These coins will of course not have the special A serials but rather normal L/E serials assigned by us.

We may potentially auction all of the coins from the first batch, but at least the 5 for now.

The auction is LIVE: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1933218.0

Anyway, good luck with the auction.

Apparently the forum does not like Flickr image links, so here is the url to the album containing the pictures of the coin:

please use imgur.com, works fine with the forum. Good luck with the auction

I am impressed by PoW2 improving blockchain in an awesome way. Respect and thumbs up for the Gulden devs
