641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any suggestions on building quiet moderately priced rig? on: March 02, 2018, 04:22:27 PM
I am shocked to see the price of VGA cards now, and we compare prices this year with last year, in Southeast Asia is getting more and more expensive, so the possibility of buying VGA card with low cost becomes difficult now. Now the price of the old VGA card is almost the same as the price of the new VGA card, for me crazy hehe.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting in the mining business on: March 02, 2018, 02:40:36 PM
Thanks for your reply, we're planning to put 288 in a rig.

288 VGA card, that's cool. I'm sure you're a millionaire because the price of 1 unit of VGA card is costly now in southeast Asia. I only have 15 VGA cards now.
I pray for your project success and smoothly later, good luck bro.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig keeps restarting on: March 02, 2018, 02:10:54 PM
Hi,
this is my first post, so be gentle please.
My PC restarts few minutes after I start Claymore dual miner (eth-dcr). I tried to limit power draw anywhere from -15% to -50%. It says my power draw from the wall is 700-1150w depending on settings. No matter what settings I put on Wattman it restarts every time. I tried 2-3  drivers and it didn't help. Can you point me in the right direction because I am totally clueless?

My rig is:
PSU FSP aurum 1200w PT
4x Asus Vega Strix 56
CPU Pentium G4400
MOBO Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A Mining Ready
RAM Crucial CT8G4DFD8213
SSD Kingston uv400
Riser card ver.008s

Are you aware of the double performance mining VGA performance becomes less than the maximum? Better focus on one mine with maximum results.
Try to do one mining, is there still often a restart? And do not forget to see the temperature not to 80C, if using the application after burner immediately lower the memory clock and core clock.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R7 240? on: March 02, 2018, 01:38:01 PM
Anyone know what the mining performance is of an R7 240? or what the best settings cgminer/sgminer settings?

I'm getting about 15 kh/s on it now..

Using R7 240 for mining, I do not think it's good. I do not know the speed of that type in doing mining. Which obviously utilizing the type will not profit, because we have to pay electricity and internet. People are currently mining a lot of wear type R9 280 or up or type Rx 470 and above for AMD.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: After RIG restart on Windows 10 I can't see all GPU on: March 02, 2018, 12:48:09 PM
Hi,

I have a RIG on MSI Z170A Carbon MB with 6 GPU GTX1070 and 1 GPU GTX1080Ti,
all worked fine, when for some reason there is a power loss after reboot I can't see
just 4 GPU on Windows 10.

If I reboot the RIG same situation, in order to fix this problem I have to shutdown the
Windows and then start again and all GPU come back.

There is a windows command to rescan the PCI-e bus and made discover the GPU on
Windows ?

Do you know why ? I can't manage this situation remotely because I have to stop the
RIG and the start it again manually from power button.

Anyone had the same problem and have solve it ?

Thanks

Try running five VGA or four VGA if still restart for 30 minutes ahead, if again reboot there is a possibility of riser cable is broken or possibility PSU problem. Check electricity and cabling. It is necessary for mining if problems occur in mining machine.
I hope there is no problem that happened in electrified and cabling. I will pray that it will not happen.

government offices - well, let's see if it was worth it when he will get caught  Grin

At least for my i7 6700k I can tell you that I'm earning ~ 15.28 $ per Week by mining this coin:
https://crds.co/

In combination with GPU-mining it's a nice 'bonus'.

Regards,
Nestade

I am very grateful to you for the information. I will inform my friend about it, but I do not know what processor he uses for his mining.

If electricity and internet are free, 15.28 $ is a fantastic number, hehe. thanks Nestade
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining with a regular computer profitable? on: March 02, 2018, 09:46:33 AM

CPU mining is only really profitable for some relatively new CPU-only coins.
Otherwise the profit will be really low.

Where do you get free electricity/internet? lol
And I don't know any server provider changing thermal compound regularly and servers are also running 24/7.
In general I'd say CPU mining is only really profitable if your PC is running 24/7 anyway or if you're combining it with GPU mining.

Your opinion is correct, electricity and internet are not free. I just think if electricity and free internet are possible with mining CPU will get a profit hehe.

but there's a friend of mine; he's doing CPU mining in government offices, internet and electricity to be free, during mining in that place.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting in the mining business on: March 02, 2018, 09:14:40 AM
It is good that you decide to start mining,
type Nvidia p106-100 using CLAYMORE algorithm maybe you will get 20 MH/s - 24 MH/s for ethereum mining.
By the way with how many VGA you are mining?
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining with a regular computer profitable? on: March 01, 2018, 01:48:52 PM
I've never mined before but i am looking into it. Is it possible to make a profit mining cryptocurrencies with an average computer? I have read a decent amount about mining, and I know its not a get rich quick scheme, but are there any currencies where mining is actually profitable without ASIC or a powerful computer. If so, what currencies would you recommend to start mining?

if you want to use mining CPU to get profit :
1. First, you should pay attention to CPU processor, see in task manager if using windows OS, when mining performance "CPU USAGE" will be 90% -100%. For a long-term time, you should regularly change paste processor. Keep in mind the pasta cost.
2. Secondly, the electricity for your mining should be free.
3. thirdly, the internet for mining you should be free.

therefore most people are already using GPU or ASIC.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6x Aorus RX 580 4gb Elpida hashrate problem on: March 01, 2018, 12:01:55 PM
If you are using the original bios from your card as modifying source bios, it would create a stable hashrate. One of mistake that makes your modded cards unstable is flashing your cards using different bios version. Stabilities more important than hashing speed (IMO), for Polaris 4Gb cards, 28++ Mhs stable in Ethash is good enough.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5 to 2 gpu's after windows failure on: March 01, 2018, 11:58:40 AM
So i had 5 gpu's working and mining, when after about 30 min, windows shut down with a blue screen stating: Windows encountered a problem.
After reboot it will autostart mining, but it only recognizes 2 gpu's now.
I'm running windows 10
Aorus z370 motherboard
intel i3 processor
250gb ssd
6x AMD Radeon RX-580 (1 wasn't working anyway)
Corsair 1100 watt psu

I seemed to have this problem before, but i wasn't there to monitor it, i was able to fix it, but then while monitoring it it happened again.

with PSU 1100w for RX type, that's enough.

Is your Bios vga already modified? If it has been modified, try to use the application "atikmdag-patcher". so that the GPU has been modified its BIOS can be read.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine with two AMD Radeon RX570 XFX 8Gb cards? on: March 01, 2018, 11:25:27 AM
Hi everyone,

I need some help and suggestion about what to mine with this cards on this configuration?

Graphic: 2 x AMD Radeon 570 xfx 8Gb
Mother board: Biostar TB250 BTC with supporting up to six graphic cards on it
Power supply: Raidmax RX-735AP Modular
CPU: Intel Celeron Dual Core G3930, 2.9GHz
Memory: Kingston Fury Black CL15, DDR4 4Gb, 2400MHz
Hard drive: Kingston SSD 120Gb

What is best solution to mine with this? Eth or zec maybe? Or something else?

Thank you very much.

Try at https://whattomine.com/coins; there you will get the difference information. mining eth is better
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help and suggestion about my rig on: March 01, 2018, 10:59:40 AM
Hi everyone,

I need some help and suggestion about building my rig. I want to build rig with these hardware:

Graphic: 2 x AMD Radeon 570 xfx 8Gb
Mother board: Biostar TB250 BTC with supporting up to six graphic cards on it
Power supply: Raidmax RX-735AP Modular
CPU: Intel Celeron Dual Core G3930, 2.9GHz
Memory: Kingston Fury Black CL15, DDR4 4Gb, 2400MHz
Hard drive: Kingston SSD 120Gb

My plan is to start mining with these two cards on it and to add up to all six cards on it in future when I get some cash. Smiley  My question is, is this good configuration? Can I start mining with these config for now? My plan is to mining etherium and maybe double mining too? Can I do double mining with these? And I want to hear from you what to mine with these configuration of rig?

Thank you very much.

for two VGA, the mining tool you created is enough; if you want to add VGA, automatically you have to add PSU again, with PSU combine technique that is "jump start" or "add to PSU"

I suggest not double mining, because eth mining speed will go down, you can try it for double mining and see the rate will be different.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows Update Problem on mining rigs.... on: March 01, 2018, 10:03:34 AM

Windows Update is disabled but Windows updates itself automatically. I tried all of the tricks on the google, but no help. Do you have any trouble with the windows 10 updates ?

The problem you encountered the same happened to me; it happened last week, which caused the speed of the rate from 28 mhs down to 22 mhs. I use Rx 480 (4gb) for mining etc.

when it happens, I installed atikmdag patcher-bios patcher to restore its speed to its original state.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Software for Remote Access to Mining Rigs on: March 01, 2018, 08:42:48 AM
I have a few mining rigs I use to mine ethereum that run on windows 10. I am not the most technically inclined person when it comes to troubleshooting or messing with settings. Luckily I am invested in this with someone who is. The drawback is that this person lives approximately an hour away from me, and every time something needs updating or fixing he needs to make the trip to my place. So I am wondering what software is out there that would allow him full control of these mining rigs from the comfort of his home? I have played around with quick support but find it is somewhat limited in terms of what I am looking for. Anyone out there have any better ideas?

I used to use the TeamViewer application to control my rig, but the use of the application using a large bandwidth then the connection is often disconnected.

so I am currently using the Chrome Remote desktop and ultra viewer apps to control my rigs, in addition to those apps using small bandwidth, the display performance is lighter than the TeamViewer

658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Powering low end GPUs on: February 17, 2018, 09:42:45 AM
Yea that's what I'm using on my build just now, 6 x PCIe risers and plug the sata from the PSU directly in... When I'm looking just now though i see most off them now have sata to 6 pin though.

Maybe what you mean is ATA/Molex, I also never seen riser with SATA power. The old Riser using "SATA to MOLEX " power, and we can power it directly from PSU using Molex.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate, Difficulty, Blocktime Reward etc. on: February 17, 2018, 09:34:46 AM
Every coin has a Difficulty Retargeting. Let say bitcoin, bitcoin has Difficulty Retargeting every 2016 block, referring to block time (10 minutes), 2016 block would be 14 days. Sometimes we find on block explorer that bitcoin block time doesn't match 10 minutes, but the network will try to keep 2016 block solved in or within 14 days.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining multiple coins in one rig on: February 17, 2018, 09:22:42 AM
You can use Nicehash GUI, bench every card with a different algorithm. and leave a 3rd card with no bench algorithm if you want to use your 3rd card for solo mining.
