641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Do You Take Profit From Your Altcoin Bags? on: January 14, 2021, 11:16:59 AM
Just wondering what your strategy for taking profits on alts?

Do you sell when your alts double against in USD or BTC? or what % to make sure ur safe from dumps?
I don't simply sell my alts when it pump. I mean, I use some technical analysis and have my own goal profit. Setting your desired profit plus relying on indicators is an advantage. You can actually know when is the right time to buy, to cut loss or to make a trading entry. Im

When you sell do you buy more BTC or Rotate into another Altcoin?

Both.
Like this bullish market of bitcoin seems still continuosly pumping but I tend to sell off some of my btc holdings and I rebuy it when it went down 25% recently with the other altcoins who followed the corrections, too.

Here are some article and threads that may help you determine the right time to sell your altcoins;

642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you have, which coin you do not have? on: January 14, 2021, 06:29:05 AM
I only have few coins let's say 6 coins before I sell them off when they were bullish. After selling them off I only have one hold coin now and that is bitcoin.

Well, although there is a saying that it's good to have many eggs in a basket or simply the diversified investments but then in this bullish trend it is better to be a wise investor. Choose a coin to be traded and to be hold for a long term.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 Cryptos Biggest Winners and Losers on: January 14, 2021, 04:29:42 AM
I thought this article shows us some people who are big lossers when bitcoin dump and big winners when btc pumps. But it showed just four coins and their progress from 2020 to 2021 and their possible speculations about those coins. And i think they forgot some coins like BCH and Dogecoin that also made a huge price progress.

Anyway, recent drop that showed 10% to 25% price decreased and is a good time to buy isn't? And not just those coins stated from the article but also other coins seems to make some corrections from the latest bullish trend.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need ideas for my Bitcoin Blog on: January 14, 2021, 02:29:41 AM
For a different suggestion, people are very much interested now to read new facts, trivias or new informations related with bitcoin. Like people and exchanges or company that owns thousands or a huge number amount of bitcoin.

Also, scam related bitcoin that you cant imagine a person or a group of people will do that fraud. Name a few and unique style of scamming using btc.

Future plan use of blockchain in different industry can also be an interesting topic.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go before the next leg up to 45-50k?? on: January 14, 2021, 12:38:33 AM
Bitcoin showed signs of recovery today. And the resistance level of $30k seems not yet reached as it dropped off to 25% down to 31k. Well, while most of the long entry liquidated from their trade, I tend to buy some part again and was having a profit and had a good results today.

We can't say when it could be drop down to 20k usd but it was dropped down 25% that fast then it could also be possible that it could reach back to that price again.
646  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Peso Cost Averaging sa Loan on: January 13, 2021, 01:04:07 PM

At agree din ako dito;

Do not spend unless you needed something very important.

647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with 'Selling early' regrets? on: January 13, 2021, 09:29:33 AM
Thats the effect of being affected with price drops and fomo. The thing here is that we need some basis perhaps learning how to read indicators is a great benefit for us to know whether it may still go up after few sideways or not.

Rather than regretting what we did before by selling too early, we better perhaps improve our trading skills and collect more tools needed not to repeat the mistakes again.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic on: January 13, 2021, 07:12:39 AM
I’ve seen this twice before...  If you’re really thinking of selling, wait for a couple of days when it’s bouncing back.  It could bounce back to 36k - 38k and give you a chance to sell at a better price.  If it doesn’t...  We’re f*cked anyway.  Lawl.

If they can't wait and planning to sell off because they are having a fomo feeling, well they'll regret it when it bounce back. However, it is still their decision to take off some profits when btc price drops worrying it will repeat the history before that it may dump to below $10k level and hard to pump again.

649  Economy / Economics / Re: Usa new currency digital dollar soon on: January 13, 2021, 06:09:59 AM
At first I thought that he is pointing out USDC as digital dollar. A currency that backed by US dollar. But after reading the defi term, I don't think US will gonna create another defi coin. Afterall, defi system is still in a testing stage wherein financial and loan systems are into considerations.

It is just OP's own speculation. Haven't read any digital dollar by USA as their new cryptocurrency.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you’re extremely nervous about this drop, then you’re overexposed on: January 13, 2021, 03:54:04 AM
Maybe for those who are new in this kind of field where in prices of bitcoin drops heavily, they aren't used to the market's volatility.

I have been a long term holder and not even panicking with this drop, normally if we are going to panic and will sell it off because we are worried about the loss, then think again. There is always a choice of holding.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell my bitcoin from 2010 on: January 12, 2021, 09:24:53 PM

In the first place, does he really own 50k bitcoins here? How come he created a new account just to ask this? If he is a long time holder, I guess he should know by now the right answer to his question. I am curious about his true motives of the OP.

If the really meant what he said, it doesn't matter if his account is new just to seek advice from a reputable community like btt forum.
But @OP, it is impossible to sell that off at once. The fees will be quite high that you can't imagine. Or at least sell a few and hold the rest for future use. There is a maximum limit with some crypto exchanges. Unless peer to peer transaction has been agreed upon by both parties with $50,000 bitcoin.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How risky is Tether to Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2021, 12:25:23 PM
Trying to figure out if all this news about tether being a scam/ticking time bomb is a black swan event threat to bitcoin or if it's FUD. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Actually, it is not only ether which other's thought that may be a threat to bitcoin. Thus still, that doesn't affect bitcoin's progress. Though the history of tether where it came from and how it became popular stable coin was controversial, at some point it can also affect bitcoin's price when tether is being manipulated by some whales or agencies.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A big start in 2021 on: January 12, 2021, 05:50:16 AM
Nice, 127 bitcoin stucked in an old wallet and recovered today when the price boomed.  The time where he earned bitcoin by watching videos 9years ago when bitcoin's price wasn't that high value as of today makes him become millionare today.

Well, enjoying his luck and fortune this 2021. Also an inspiration to those who still locked their bitcoin or forgot/misplace their passwords and seed phrase too.
654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rookie mistake today on: January 12, 2021, 02:41:04 AM
That's the problem when you probably relying on different and other's predictions and the problem of less knowledge about technical analysis. If you wanted to have a confidence on your trading even without those other's predictions, you can stand on your own decisions.

Panic for example causing the troubles of selling off your btc to deficit price. But since you know it might have a corrections lower than $30k, then why panic if you know the fact it may bounce back. And if you are a long term trader, big corrections are normal. You can actually do cut loss and re entry if you use some TA for your own trade.
655  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long time lurker, 1st post on: January 12, 2021, 12:35:29 AM
Hey everyone,

 Hodl.

By end of 2021 we'll be trading ~100k easily

Perhaps, not that easily. Although we did reached the new ATH few days ago smoothly. Bears are still fighting. Bitcoin enthusiasts are expecting it to fo further up that price as $100k but there may possibly many corrections that may eventually change it's way. Amd yeah, the best thing to do is to hold and cut loss if unexpected doom will happen.

It's not the speed at which we hit the milestones that's important. It's the final milestone which tips the scales that matters.

Afterall, we are not rushing things. If it won't reach $100k this 2021, the thing is that bitcoin proved how it improves the way it showed it's progress recently.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people seem to value 1 full BTC? on: January 11, 2021, 08:38:56 AM
I see lots of people placing value specifically on owning full (1) BTC. Is this just a flex, or is there some advantage to this, versus just owning some fractions of BTC?

You can already buy youd own house or put up  a good business if you own one whole bitcoin in my place. That is why it is valuable to have such 1 full of btc. I hope this makes sense to you. Especially that the price of bitcoin when you conberted it into our fiat currency definitely costs a lot.

Acrually, even if you only own half of btc or some part of it. There is already a great value that can eventually help us in financial status. There's advantage of holding it in terms of emergency cases of financial situation.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help a newbie out with the market on: January 11, 2021, 07:03:35 AM

658  Economy / Gambling / Re: Telegram Betting group : Proven Winning tipster on: January 11, 2021, 05:30:34 AM
It's a telegram channel containing sports teams and odds.

There's nothing wrong to give out his telegram channel as long as those members knows the risks of joining. Especially that those fraudsters tend to reach out to victimized members. But anyway,  I am sports bettor so I'm giving this a try.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be bitcoin next step lets discuss together on: January 11, 2021, 02:52:00 AM
Integrate a buy entry but have a stop loss at $30k. If corrections will occur any time as you said down to $30k then it could have been good that I set that to cut loss.

That $50k will soon gonna hit. But better take off even some part of holdings as we don't know when big sideways gonna happen and eill gonna be hard to push it back up. This might be a good time to sell off but always do have some back up plan for corrections.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The problem on: January 11, 2021, 01:00:31 AM
The project's success depends always on the product they introduced and the objective and goal that aims a good use in crypto industry. It's not about the value of the coins that we should watch but then come to think of it that those altcoins that tend to survive and has afurther continuous development has also a good price progress. Because investors use those altcoins for different purposes.

Come to think of it, there are still altcoins that costs some cents but still surviving and has a good purpose in this industry.
