Just wondering what your strategy for taking profits on alts?
Do you sell when your alts double against in USD or BTC? or what % to make sure ur safe from dumps?
When you sell do you buy more BTC or Rotate into another Altcoin?

i always sold my bag when the bitcoin reached its peak price. I just try to follow the bitcoin's trend to determine when i can sell my altcoin at the peak price. i have sold all of my alts when bitcoin reach 41ka nd then i have been making very good profit consider the price of bitcoin down again to the 32k a few days ago and buy back again.
I will try to move into the coin that i think if it's still dumped coz the chance for recovery will always there.

so I messed up. I had 0.1 BTC when Bitcoin was in $14000+ back in October. their USD Value that time was some $1400 or something I think. I invested them in some of top alts in binance. and now when Bitcoin's price is $37,000 today my account's BTC value is dropped to 0.06 BTC but their USD value is $2500 dollars. now I am totally lost in confusion. I am in profit in term of USD and in lose in term of BTC. I have no idea what should I do. am I really in lose or in profit? |

When it reached your particular target on gains then convert to stablecoin immediately this is my strategy when I am trading short term period but if I am buying a medium hold tokens then when it become double or more then gonna sell that of course if its already satisfy my gains. Its hard to missed green signal or profits, I've learned my mistake before of not selling when it indeed already have some massive gains cause I hold and watch it drop every time. |

Been smart and watchful is very important when you are trying to take the advantage of crypto market, there are some altcoins that will recovers from dumps when bitcoin goes down, just buy such altcoins when bitcoin is down and wait for Bitcoin to recover to sell the altcoin again, there is nothing better than buying low and selling high

I'm trading Altcoin to Btc my current goal was to allocate more Bitcoins as much as possible I really think the price of the Bitcoin will going above $50,000 before hitting February this is just a prediction of mine. |

TBH, I'm currently holding quite a few altcoins as of now. ETH and ENJ (I don't know why I hold ENJ  but ETH..). MRPH and XRP (I got the MRPH tokens from signature campaigns and XRP I bought some when it dipped few weeks ago). I personally doesn't have any plans on selling my altcoin holdings as of now for some reasons but I will have for sure in the future. Right now I'm just holding them for dear life and will like to add some altcoin holdings in the future  . |

For me, I am hodling right now waiting and hoping now that the alt season is approaching it will give me double or even triple profit and once that it happen I sell this altcoins to a more stable once such as eth or ripple and then I hold it also.
I'm not satisfied with altcoin gains presently, excluding Ethereum because the only altcoin that brings good returns right now is still Eth, others like bnb, Chainlink, Neo brings fair returns but not close to ETH, the question is why? Not much interest on altcoins right now, Im just hoping this will change in few weeks time... |

when I have seen price changes I usually start to open to trade at the daily which I have predicted. and it is irregular depending on the movements in the market that I invest in. but for the main results I usually take every 2 weeks or 1 month. yes ,,, never took it directly because of sudden need.

Depends, if I wanted to go full bitcoin then I will shift everything on my alts and then hold. Or if I wanted to invest on other altcoins that I've found good then I will do it. Really up to your decision on what's the best for you in the long run. And I'm sure other traders or investors have this kind of mindset. Of course, it's better to diversify your portfolio so you can do that as well. BTC->ALT or ALT-ALT which fit your strategy better. |

I was currently more into Bitcoin due to the speculation of how much will it became in the future well I was trading with Bitcoin to altcoins and not to Bicoins to USD |

Still not reach my profit with last altcoin trading before and keep waiting when price raise up above 10% from my first price I will sell, I think enough when reach 10% my profit because I think is very good for me and I like with faster way trading exactly with altcoin, not waiting up above 300% to sell my coin because I think waiting reach 10% is enough and I will looking for and take entry with other altcoin for trading.

it maybe you are entering the market at the wrong time. I have bought ethereum yesterday and got almost 20% return from my initial capital right now. It's not alts can be bought and the only altcoin that gets plunged to the bottom is really worth to buy, Just like what warren buffet says buy when others selling and sell when others buying. |

Mostly depends on each individual strategy. I used to trade mostly altcoins for a few years now, but I must admit it's quite time consuming and stressful, but it can also be very rewarding. Due to a lot of circumstances that changed in my life, I switched from trading crypto to investing in blockchain projects with strong fundamentals and try to get in as early as possible. Minimum hold time is 6-9 months, I'm aiming for 5x 10x 20x profits. The advantages of this is I barely have to spend time monitoring the market, it's way less stressful than active trading plus the returns can be a way bigger.

I don't simply sell my alts when it pump. I mean, I use some technical analysis and have my own goal profit. Setting your desired profit plus relying on indicators is an advantage. You can actually know when is the right time to buy, to cut loss or to make a trading entry. Im When you sell do you buy more BTC or Rotate into another Altcoin?
Both. Like this bullish market of bitcoin seems still continuosly pumping but I tend to sell off some of my btc holdings and I rebuy it when it went down 25% recently with the other altcoins who followed the corrections, too. My strategy is simple. I sell my altcoin in the profit conditions, and I do not sell when the price is down because that can make me get to lose the profit. Although I can sell some amount when the price is down, I prefer to hold for more and wait for the high price. I will sell my altcoins in BTC because I want to make more and more bitcoin. I do not have the right percentage because that will depend on the market situation. When I sell my altcoin, I get bitcoin, so I do not have to buy bitcoin, but sometimes, if I can make a profit in USDT, I will convert it into BTC to have more bitcoin. |

With the market growth in 2018, I made a major mistake and always considered my profit solely in relation to Ethereum. Now I began to consider profit only in relation to the dollar and I think this is correct, because on growth, everyone has the opportunity to go into fiat and re-buy on the global market decline. |

Before i wanna try to invest in a coin and i have determined how much profit that should be achieved by my portfolios before i wanna try to sell it.
I will try to sell it when it reached the peak price. I don't know how much it is but i just take the at least 1x ROI as the minimum return that i can try to use it as my point to sell my altcoins.
It's easy to determine it dude.
I will not put a very big expectation like got 100x return from my investment lol

I have some alts I have been keeping for a while, and I add when I can... believe me, I don't even think about selling them for profit! I keep them as support for the projects, I use them for gambling and trading (to make more), and when the time comes maybe I will be able to use them on other places, and maybe those alts will worth a lot by that time!
Profit (in fiat) is not everything, if you need that fiat for something it's alright, I am selling when I am in some need (selling coins is my last option, and I hate doing that)! But I like to keep my coins and grow them!
